Elemental Skill
Elemental Skill (called "Upgrade Skills" in-game) represent your overall upgrade mastery. Each element has an upgrade skill and associated level, which can be viewed on the Profile screen from the menu. Upgrade skills can be leveled up by upgrading weapons and summons.
When an upgrade skill's level exceeds a certain threshold, it grants bonus EXP to weapons, summons, and characters of the same element when they're upgraded. In addition, the grand success rate will be boosted. The required upgrade skill level to receive these bonuses varies between each weapon, summon, and character.
An upgrade skill's level can be raised by gaining EXP through upgrading weapons and summons. EXP for upgrade skills' levels can't be gained when power-up items are used to upgrade them.
How to Raise Elemental Skill
When upgrading or uncapping, for each item being used in the upgrade process, elemental skill increases by:
- 1 for Normal weapons
- 2 for Rare weapons
- 10 for S Rare weapons
- 50 for SS Rare weapons
- 315 for Lazuline Vessel
- 2 for Angel weapons
- 5 for Archangel weapons
- 1 for any summons
- 63 for Scarlet Vessel
The element that gains skill matches the element of the item being upgraded. Upgrading characters or a crew airship will never increase elemental skill.
Upgrade Bonus
Once an element has reach a certain skill level, upgrades for certain rarity characters, weapons, and summons of that element will gain a 20% increase in earned EXP. This applies after any applicable wonders. At skill level 10, Normal weapons and summons will get the bonus. Rare characters, weapons, and summons get this bonus at skill level 20; S Rare at skill level 30; and SS Rare at skill level 40.
After level 77, it also adds 0.33% chance for a Grand Success when upgrading weapons or summons at certain levels.
Reduce Bonus
As Elemental Skill Level increases, players receive more bonus materials from reducing SSR weapons and summons.
