2	✔	A new year... What should I aim for this year, I wonder. I'm still continuing my training, so... maybe I should try taking things a little less seriously? How do you think I should do things this year, (Captain)? If there's anything you think I should work on, I'd love to hear it!
3	✔	The first sunrise of the year... It's beautiful. I should be pretty used to sunrises by now with all the morning training I do... But there's just something special about today's. I feel refreshed. Oh, I almost forgot. Happy New Year, (Captain). May this be your best year yet!

(Captain) and company find themselves working at Sierokarte's beach house. Lecia shows up and tries on her new swimsuit. Though she lacks confidence in how she looks, (Captain) praises her and gives her the confidence to work.

Sierokarte: Well, that sums up what I need you guys to do at the beach house.

Sierokarte: Any questions?

Lyria: Nope! I think we've basically got it!

Vyrn: Yeah, it doesn't sound too hard!

The crew has accepted Sierokarte's invitation to come and work at the beach house.

(Captain), together with Vyrn and Lyria, have been briefed on the necessary tasks.

Sierokarte: The next thing to explain would be the account ledgers.

Sierokarte: But they're actually pretty complicated. Lyria, are you sure you and Vyrn want to get into this?

Lyria: Actually... I'm not sure I'd be able to understand it.

Vyrn: Well, I can count and all, but that's about it.

Sierokarte: In that case, I'll just explain this part to (Captain) then.

Sierokarte: For the time being, you two know everything you need to.

Lecia ropes (Captain) into joining her in a beach volleyball tournament. They win their games for the day, but their next opponents ambush them on the way home to try to knock them out of the competition.

Cheered on by their adoring fans, Lecia and (Captain) keep their eyes on the ball.

Lecia: Here it comes! Get it, (Captain)!

(Captain) manages to set the ball high in the air toward Lecia, who readies herself for a spike.

Lecia: Aaand... Hi-ya!

Lecia's attack blows the two opposing defenders away, and the ball slams into the sand.

Several days earlier, Lecia had approached (Captain) with a request.

Lecia: Um... (Captain), do you have a minute? I have a bit of a favor to ask.

Vyrn: What is it? Is something wrong? You can tell us.

Lecia: Um... Well, you don't have to if you're busy, but I was wondering if you might want to do something with me...

Lecia: Check this out! I want you on my team!

Lecia thrusts a flyer into (Captain)'s hands.

Lyria: Let's see... A beach volleyball tournament?

Lecia: Yes. When I was in the Crew of Enforcers, everyone was so enthusastic about beach volleyball...

Thug 1: Hey, you're the ones we're supposed to go up against in the next game, right?

Beachside Showdown: Scene 2

Lecia and (Captain) are trying to catch up to their opponents in the volleyball final. They have a chance to score, but Lecia suddenly runs off the court to protect a child playing on the beach from a monster that has suddenly appeared.

Lecia and (Captain) beat the thugs in the tournament fair and square to move on to the final.

Vyrn: Gulp... I don't know why, but even I'm starting to feel a bit nervous.

Lyria: Good luck! We're cheering for you!

Lecia: Thanks, you two.

Lecia: And, (Captain)... How will I ever repay you for getting me here?

Lecia: Just one more game. Let's give it everything we've got!

The final match begins.

Lecia: Hi-yaaa!

Lecia's serve blasts over the net and barely stays within the court boundaries.

(Captain) and Lecia are in a back-and-forth battle with their opponents.

But the two skyfarers eventually start to fall behind, and now they're playing catch-up.

Lecia: But they'll finish us off if we let up even a bit! This is where the game will be decided!

As the two of them rally, the opponent's serve the ball.

Lecia: (What's this? It's so slow, and it's at such an easy angle!)

Lecia: (I'm probably not gonna get another serve like this... This is my chance!)

Lecia: (Captain)! I've got this!

Lecia suddenly appears to be shocked by something and runs off the court looking terrified.

Vyrn: Hey, where are you going? The game's not over yet!

Lecia: Faster, Lecia... Faster!

Lecia sprints towards a child playing on the beach.

Lecia: Look out! Run!

Child: What?

Monster: Groar!

Lecia: Hi-yaaa!

With a single move, Lecia strikes down a monster that has reared up behind the child.

Lecia: (Captain)! This monster is just one of a whole swarm! More will come!

Lecia: I need your help! We can't let anyone here for the game get hurt!

Beachside Showdown: Scene 3

Thanks to Lecia's quick thinking, (Captain) and company defeat the monsters before anyone is harmed. The final match is restarted, and (Captain) and Lecia manage to win, growing closer in the process.

Lecia: Here comes my special move! Lightning Spike!

Opponent 1: Haha—now that's what I call a spike! We never had a chance!

Lecia's final spike is so powerful that it has produced a mini sandstorm. And from the whirlwind, two victors emerge.

Lecia: Phew... We did it, (Captain). We actually did it!

Lyria: Congratulations! That was amazing! Lecia, (Captain), well done to the both of you!

Vyrn: Heh-heh! I knew you two would win the whole thing!

Lecia: Everyone... Thank you.

Opponent 2: Haha! I've gotta hand it to you. I've never seen anyone play like that before!
