Happy Birthday Cutscenes
# Link Text
1

Here's to your birthday, Captain. It's an honor to be by your side.
Together we'll see many birthdays to come, because I'll always be watching your back. I promise.

2

Happy birthday, (Captain). I'm glad to be by your side to see you get one more year under your belt.
And in order to see you through to the next birthday, I'll always be right there protecting you.
Even if the day should come when I'm unable to greet you on your birthday...
My heart will always be with you.
You're not alone, (Captain), and you never will be.

3

Happy birthday, (Captain). Glad to be able to tell you in person.
With the passing of each year, I feel as if you become ever promising.
But you've been hoarding a lot of responsibility lately. It kind of has me worried.
When I said that I'd protect you, I didn't mean just physically. I also meant your soul.
I realize there are times when there's no other choice but to bear it all, and I certainly don't want to tell you what you can or can't do.
But when you do feel overburdened, know that you can call for help. Basically what I'm saying is trust me.
Well, I know I kind of get mad at my sisters when they go overboard, but...

4

Happy birthday, (Captain). I'm glad I get to say those words to you.
You age so well every year. And become even more fit to be our captain.
I just worry as someone who has experienced what you have, whether or not you are pushing yourself too hard.
I know what it's like to put up a tough front as I ran a band of mercenaries of my own.
You must believe in yourself to lead the pack, and that requires keeping your chest held high. It also means enduring incredible stress.
While hardship can lead to personal growth, it can impede when a person takes on too much.
You must learn to depend on, and call on, us for help. I know that for someone as strong as you are that might be difficult.
All around you are people you can rely on. Should there ever come a time when you are unsure of yourself or unhappy with anything, lean on us.
We are here to watch over you... To help you. Please... never forget.

5

Happy birthday, (Captain). I'm so happy that I can celebrate this special day with you again.
We've been traveling together for quite a while now, haven't we?
You were always someone I could depend on... And now, you've really become a trustworthy captain and skyfarer.
I'm sure you have things you feel you can't tell others about, and worries that even adults have...
I'm not saying that you should tell me all of them. You're free to say or hide whatever you want, of course.
And that's exactly why I'll do my best to make sure you'll always have the space and freedom to think and reflect inside yourself.
I'll be here to protect you whenever you encounter hardships and trials, (Captain).
That's the least I can do. I hope we can celebrate many more birthdays together from here on out.

Happy New Year Cutscenes

1

Happy New Year.
I'm happy to be ringing in the new year with you, (Captain). Let's focus our attention on the future ahead.

2

Happy New Year! Did you catch the sunrise this morning?
Me? I'm on my way out for target practice.
Call me obsessed, but missing even a single day ruins my week.
If I'm going to keep covering your back, then I have to keep my aim sharp.
Hm? You don't have to come with me. You should enjoy the day off... Well if you insist, I could use another pair of eyes. Thanks, (Captain).

3

Happy New Year, (Captain). We made it through another one.
I'll be ever more vigilant in providing cover for you and everyone else.
The start of a new year is the perfect time to refocus one's concentration.
It's not that I'm not focused on any other day but just saying it aloud strengthens the resolve.
As always, I'll see you through any hardships on your journey.

4

Happy New Year, (Captain). Here's to another with you.
I know the year just started, but I'll need to be on my way.
Yes, I'm going to train. There's quite a bit of snow, and these conditions are perfect.
We never know when or what will come our way.
To protect you all, I have to do everything in my power to become stronger.
With any luck, I'll catch something good, and we'll have a wonderful dinner together.
So... here I go.

5

(Captain), would you like some more tea? Ah, yes. Now I remember. I've got some pears. I could go get them and peel—
You're right. Cucouroux, Camieux, I'm sorry. I did promise to let loose today.
But... Is it really such a good idea to do absolutely nothing? On the first day of the year?
You know, they say you should plan the year ahead on New Year's Day. How about this? I won't go out, but I'll exercise, just a— N-no? All right...
I know that you two are right. It's important to rest, but I can't help but feel like I should be doing something.
Well... Yes, you have a point. If I keep running around like this, (Captain) won't be able to relax.
All right. For (Captain)'s sake, I'll try to settle down...
What? If I keep thinking like this, I'll never be able to let loose? I-I wasn't aware of that.

Valentine's Day Cutscenes

1

Happy Valentine's Day! Good work as always. I'd like you to have this since you're always watching my back.
I want you to raise your stamina by enjoying these sweets. Sometimes it's absolutely necessary to take a step back and rest.

2

Is now a good time, (Captain)? Great, thank you.
I know it's not much, but I'd like you to have this.
I don't know why I'm so nervous all of a sudden. Huh? What do you mean my face is all red?
Look, it's not nice to tease me like that. I just got a little emotional, that's all.

3

(Captain)... Um... Happy Valentine's Day.
Mm, that's not really "me," is it? Let me start over.
Ahem. This is from me to you, with my appreciation and all.
It's a physical representation of the respect and gratitude that I feel toward you everyday.
Words and expressions are not part of my arsenal.
But sometimes I think I do manage to tell you exactly what I mean to say. That pretty much covers it.

4

(Captain), these are for you.
Yes, they're Valentine's Day gifts.
This and this... That's right, I got you two things. I couldn't just pick one, so...
This one lasts quite a while and can easily be taken on the go. I recommend eating this as a source of nourishment when you find yourself in difficult circumstances.
Now for the second one... Isn't this wrapping lovely? I hear the chocolate is very tasty as well.
I saw it in a shop and wanted to get it for you.
(Captain)... I know that many respect and care for you, so you'll be receiving a great deal of presents today.
Therefore giving you two gifts instead of one might lead to waste, but I just couldn't make up my mind.
Thank you for accepting my gifts. I'm happy so long as you are.

5

Happy Valentine's, (Captain). These chocolates are for you. They're quite good, apparently.
If you have time, would you like some tea? I just got my hands on a tin of leaves; they have this wonderful fragrance that would go well with chocolate.
Hehe. All right, then let me go heat up some water. Oh, and remember the chocolates from last year? I still have some left, so let's finish them up.
Actually, I've prepared a fresh batch of emergency chocolates; they're very rich in nutrients. Take a few with you.
I mean, I would rather you never find yourself in a dangerous situation. And I'm here to make sure you stay safe.
But for skyfarers and snipers, danger is part of the job. It's better to be safe than sorry.
What am I saying? It's Valentine's. Sorry. Just... Being a sniper makes you overly cautious, you know?
But... It is true that I pray for your safety every single day... From the bottom of my heart.

White Day Cutscenes

1

Happy White Day! The girls at the gun workshop gave me some chocolates on Valentine's Day.
It's kind of late, but I wanted to return the favor with cookies. I think I baked too many though. Would you like one?

2

What is it? Do we have something to discuss?
A present? For me?
Hmm. Ah, sorry. No, I really do appreciate it.
I just never expected to get anything from you. I'm speechless.
Thank you. Even the box is quite nice. I'll set it on the shelf next to my tea collection.

3

You're giving me these desserts, (Captain)?
I'm sorry. Did my valentine cause you to do this?
Is that so? Well, as long as you enjoyed the sweets I gave you, it was worth it.
But above all else, I'm thankful for this gift you've given me. I won't let it go to waste.
Knowing that you're thinking of me, it's hard to describe how happy I feel other than... very happy.

4

Is this a White Day present for me?
Thank you, (Captain). Are you doing this just to repay my Valentine's gift? No? You aren't?
You're happy so long as I am? I see... I suppose that's what gifts are for.
I'm sorry... I really am happy about this though. It's just...
I'm not one to smile and show my happiness openly. Things like this... embarrass me.
You want me to express my feelings of joy?
Stop that, (Captain). You're just making me blush even more. Let me keep some of my pride, won't you...

5

(Captain)... Thank you. This is a lovely White Day's gift—though you really didn't need to.
Er... Well, I certainly can't start jumping for joy. I am an adult, after all.
But... I really am happy. It's all I can do to keep my face from flushing.
Oh, I don't know... I suppose I just don't want my emotions to hold sway over me. Adults are meant to simply accept things—calmly.
But that isn't easy when it comes to you. Camieux often calls me a perfect adult, but that's not true.
Well, when someone important to you lets you know that you're also important to them... Your heart starts pounding. It's embarrassing, but...
All right, stop it. Why is it only at times like these you start acting like a child? Asking one question after another...
Haven't you ever heard the saying "Speech is silver, silence is gold?" Don't ask what I mean by... important... Please...

Trick or Treat Cutscenes
# Link Text
1

Happy Halloween!
It warms my heart to see the children having so much fun playing dress-up.
What? Why don't I wear one too? Well, it's kind of embarrassing...

2

Both the town and the Grandcypher are so lively today. Seeing all these children having a blast—it really warms my heart.
Back when I lived at the workshop, I would bring little Cucouroux and Camieux out to get candy.
Yes, we all dressed up together. Why do you ask?
Me dressing up at my age? Y-you can't be serious!

3

Happy Halloween, (Captain)! I see you're fully engrossed in Halloween spirit.
Oops! That was close. I almost fell for your trick there.
Hehe, thanks to Cucouroux, I've trained myself not to fall prey to most attempts at trickery.
It'd be troublesome to be caught in your trap. I think we can come to an understanding with some candy.
Now go out and have some fun, but don't eat too many sweets, okay?

4

You had me worried, Camieux. Come now, smile a little.
Hm? Oh, it's you, (Captain).
What am I doing? Haha. Camieux is a little shaken up about a prank that Cucouroux pulled on her.
She came to me looking for a safe haven.
Are you okay, Camieux?
Really? I'm glad to see you've calmed down a little.
I know something that might lift your spirits—what if we play a prank on Cucouroux? Will you help us, (Captain)?
It's Halloween after all. We shouldn't just be the victims of pranks; we should play them too.
Thank you, (Captain). We really appreciate your help.
All right. Let's start strategizing. (Captain), do you have any ideas?
Hahaha! That sounds fun! Camieux, what do you say? Come on, join us.

5

It's so lively everywhere during the Halloween season—just looking at all the festivities gets me excited.
Hehe. The horns and accessories that Cucouroux and Mama Gunsmith made for you really suit you.
Yeah, they made some for me too, so I'll be putting mine on as well. Hehe, we all match.
Oh, could you wait a little while before asking trick-or-treat?
Camieux and I are just about to head into town to get some treats.
We're gonna get some really cute and delicious ones, so look forward to them... Huh?
If you say trick-or-treat now, then you'll get to play a trick on me for sure?
W-what! (Captain)! You can't tease grown-ups like that!

Happy Holidays Cutscenes
# Link Text
1

Season's greetings. I may not be as young as I once was, but whenever the holidays roll around I still get so excited.
Can I add something to the tree?

2

Even though snow presents a danger to snipers, I can't help but enjoy the holiday weather.
Falling in a soft patter all around, surrounding you like kind comrades in a bunker...
Hehe. Maybe I just have an overactive imagination.
I wonder if it will snow this year... If it doesn't, prepare to begin Operation Deck the Halls with Fake Snow.

3

This island is ready for the holiday festivities. Santa Claus must be busy too.
Speaking of Santa, that reminds me of something Cucouroux said when she was a little girl.
She'd asked Santa for a big sister and a little sister.
Then one day Camieux came along, and I ended up staying with the gunsmiths as well. Essentially her wish came true.
When Cucouroux grew a little older, she apologized to me.
She said it was because of her wish to Santa that I couldn't go back to my hometown.
That wasn't the case at all though. That's the kindness of the girl I call my precious sister.

4

Hello, (Captain). So I made it in time for dinner. What a relief.
Cucouroux said she would send a gift to the gunsmiths for the holidays.
So I sent a card to them and to my parents.
I never thought I would be able to speak with my mother and father again. It's almost like a dream.
When Mephorash was sealed, I had no idea whether they were safe or not...
My home was saved thanks to you, (Captain).
Thank you... (Captain)... With all my heart...

5

(Captain), I'm back. Yes, I was just at the gun workshop.
My parents came to visit. It was nice seeing them again. Today's a holiday—back on the island where the workshop is, I mean—so thanks for letting me take time off.
I... wouldn't go so far as to call this a gift, but I got you a simple souvenir. Here, it's black tea and an island specialty.
Hehe. The container is adorable, isn't it? That shop always changes the design of its tins to match the seasons. This is their winter design.
Back when I lodged at the gun workshop, I would always go to that shop, just for their containers.
I'd also have tea parties with Cucouroux and Camieux, and we'd use these leaves... Hehe. We always had such a good time.
Perhaps I should hold another tea party soon. I could invite Cucouroux, Camieux, and Tweyen.
And, if you have time, (Captain), I'd like for you to come as well. There'll be delicious sweets to go with the tea, I promise.

Steadfast Sniper

(Captain) and the crew team up with a famed sniper, Silva, to take out a swarm of monsters. After completing their joint mission, imperial soldiers appear, causing the party to flee. Silva aids them in their escape but gets swept up in the commotion herself.

(Captain)'s crew accepted a quest from the Knickknack Shack and went to a town that needed defending from a swarm of monsters.
Immediately after arriving the crew is approached by Silva, a sniper hired for the same job.
Vyrn: Watch out, (Captain)! Behind you!
Monster: Graagh!
Silva: Over here!
Vyrn: Phew! You saved us right there! Thanks, Snipes!
Lyria: (Captain)! Are you hurt?
Lyria: Thank goodness everyone's all right! Come on, (Captain). We're nearly done!
(Captain) and the crew dispatch the remaining monsters with Silva's help.
Town Mayor: Thank you, all of you! The town is now safe thanks to you! We were close to just packing up and moving out...
Town Mayor: We don't have much to give you as thanks, but at the very least please stay for a while and rest.
Townswoman: While you were gone we prepared a feast, so please eat to your heart's content!
Lyria: Wow, it all looks so delicious! Thank you so much.
Silva: The town needs to focus on repairs. Under these circumstances I couldn't accept such a lavish meal.
Town Mayor: Nonsense! It's nothing compared to what you have done for our little town.
Town Mayor: And you, skyfarers, we can't thank you enough for your quick aid!
Vyrn: Everybody needs a little help when they're in trouble! Just glad (Captain) and I made it in time!
Town Mayor: It's good to know there are still good people out there. We can't thank you enough!
Silva: Wherever I am needed, that is where you will find me. Helping people is what I do.
Vyrn: Yeah, Snipes here even got us out of a sticky situation!
Silva: Your crew divided the monsters. They were easy targets once they were separated.
Lyria: Silva, you were incredible! You didn't miss a single shot!
Townswoman: Well, ya know—Silva is said to be the best shot in all the skies!
Vyrn: I can believe it! Seeing you in action was awesome!
Silva: And yet I'm nothing compared to the Eternals.
Lyria: The Eternals?
Town Mayor: Ah, looks like the next course is coming out now. Be sure to get it while it's hot!
Vyrn: Don't worry, we will!
More and more townsfolk crowd into the hall, creating a much more festive mood.
Silva: I see. So, (Captain), you are looking for a route to Estalucia to search for your father.
Vyrn: Exactly! Some people say it's stupid to look for him, but if anyone can find him, it's (Captain)!
Silva: Sounds like an impossible dream...
But that's nothing to be ashamed of. I too am called reckless for pursuing my goal.
Silva: But I will do anything to challenge the greatest archer the skies have ever known—Tweyen.
Lyria: Silva...
Townswoman: E-everyone! Imperial soldiers! Soldiers from the empire are coming!
Vyrn: What!
Silva: Imperial soldiers!
The townsfolk rush to (Captain), Silva, and the others to tell them of the approaching soldiers.
Town Mayor: We'll hold them off. Skyfarers, you should get out of town and head back to your airship!
Vyrn: Thanks for coverin' for us! We'll repay you one day!
Town Mayor: It's the least we can do. Safe skies ahead!
Lyria: Please don't put yourselves in any danger!
Townswoman: Skyfarers, this way! You can get out through the back!
(Captain) and the crew sneak through the town hidden by a throng of townsfolk.
However...
Imperial Soldier: Hmph! They snuck away! Good thing we split up to cover more ground!
Vyrn: Argh! Imperials came this way too?
Lyria: The Grandcypher is on the other side of that bridge, (Captain)! Let's hurry!
Imperial Soldier: Haaalt!
After them!
(Captain) and the crew manage to cross the suspension bridge, the soldiers hot on their heels.
Imperial Soldier: A bullet! Where'd it come from!
Lyria: Look! The bridge is going to collapse!
Imperial Soldier: R-retreat! Retreat!
Vyrn: Let's get on the Grandcypher! Come on, (Captain), quick!
With the confused imperial soldiers retreating in the background, (Captain) and the crew safely board the Grandcypher.
Vyrn: We're not out of the woods just yet! Still gotta prepare for lift off!
The crew is frantically prepping the Grandcypher for a quick departure when a familiar face appears.
Silva: Sorry to startle you! Care if I come aboard?
Lyria: Silva! We're about to lift off. Hurry and get on!
Silva hurries on board, and the airship ascends into the sky.
Silva: I apologize for my brusqueness. Those imperial soldiers were harder to evade than I had expected.
Vyrn: You ran into them too...
W-wait! You were the one who shot the bridge down?
Silva: Yes. They were on horseback, so I knew they wouldn't be able to pursue you with the bridge out of the picture.
Silva: Normally they would have given up, but these soldiers were quite persistent. I barely managed to evade detection.
Lyria: We're sorry. If you hadn't stayed behind to help us escape, you wouldn't have had to deal with the soldiers.
Silva: No need to apologize. I acted of my own accord.
Vyrn: Feels like you got more to say than that!
Silva: Um... You're all such nice children. It was only natural to worry about you.
Silva: Sigh. But actually I have my own reasons to oppose the empire.
Lyria: Huh?
Silva: You see, I was born on Ravi Island in the great city of Mephorash.
Silva: I had to leave home to pursue my dream of becoming a sniper...
Silva: But while I was gone, the Erste Empire set up a blockade on Ravi Island. Returning home was not an option after that.
Silva: That's why I can't pass up a chance to scare the hell out of imperials when the opportunity presents itself.
Vyrn: Argh! Just thinkin' about not bein' able to go home chafes my tail!
Silva: You said it. I can't even contact my family. I was hoping that if I gain a bit of a reputation that they could at least hear news of me.
Silva: But I guess I'll need to pause that dream and hang up my rifle temporarily.
Vyrn: What? Why? With an eye like yours, Snipes, I'm sure you got people linin' up to hire you!
Silva: After picking a fight with the imperials? Hah.
Silva: I'm going to need to lay low for a while until they stop looking for me.
  1. Let them come! We'll take them all!
  2. We're sorry for getting you involved.

Choose: Let them come! We'll take them all!
Silva: What? (Captain), have you misplaced your common sense?
Vyrn: Haha! Well it's true that joining us is not a good way to hide from the empire!
Silva: Do you mean to suggest I become one of your crew?
Vyrn: We'd love to have you and that impressive trigger finger, Snipes!
Silva: An interesting proposition...

Choose: We're sorry for getting you involved.
Lyria: Yes. It is our fault that you can't continue to work...
Silva: Really, I acted of my own accord.
Hm, what was that, (Captain)?
Silva: Work with you? Well, if I'm going to be watched by the empire from now on, it would certainly be better to have allies.
Silva: I can't argue with that logic.
Continue 1
Silva: Fine. I'll accompany you on your journey to Estalucia.
Silva: (Captain), I can tell this is going to be an interesting trip. Make sure you put my rifle to good use.
Lyria: I feel better having you with us already, Silva!
Vyrn: Heheh! Hey, weren't we in the middle of a celebration before the commotion with the soldiers?
Vyrn: Let's give the party another shot—now that Snipes is with us!
And thus the famed sniper Silva found herself a part of the Grandcypher crew.
Although challenges would arise from her incorporation, the crew would quickly grow to appreciate the sheer scope of this sniper's skills.

Sonorous Ring

Silva and Lyria discuss Silva's past on the deck of the Grandcypher. Their conversation is abruptly interrupted by an encroaching monster swarm.

(Captain) and the crew are continuing their search for the great primal beasts aboard the Grandcypher.
Lyria: It looks like it's going to be a while until we reach the next island, (Captain).
Lyria: Huh? I wonder why Silva's sitting on the deck by herself?
Lyria: Silva, are you all right?
Silva: Hm? Something I can help you with, Lyria?
Lyria: Um, well, you were just sitting down on the deck here. So...
Silva: Oh! Sorry if I worried you. I've just been adjusting my rifle.
Silva: I thought I would take advantage of the fresh air and all of this space on deck.
Lyria: Oh, so that's what you're up to! Your gun's all in pieces...
Silva: I've dismantled it for cleaning. It's dangerous, so be careful not to touch it.
Lyria: Okay! Wow, so this is what the inside of a gun looks like!
Silva: This little beaut was custom-made for me. Got it from the master at this workshop I used to frequent.
Silva: Thanks to its special mechanism, it fires further and hits harder than any normal rifle.
Lyria: Now that you mention it, I guess I've never seen a gun as large as yours.
Silva: It's top quality, even among other customized pieces. See? Look here—the craftsmanship is exceptional.
Silva: After I had to leave Ravi Island that workshop took good care of me.
Lyria: Oh. They must be like a second family to you.
Silva: Family, huh? I guess you could say that.
Silva: Heh-heh. The master has two daughters, and the older one is excellent with designs. She helped a lot with this rifle's blueprint.
Silva: And the younger daughter, well, I guess she's about your age, Lyria.
Silva: When she was a toddler, she'd trail her older sister around everywhere. She was so cute.
Lyria: They sound like sweet sisters!
Silva: Yeah, we all had a good time together. I was really happy they took me in. It made being cut off from my own family just a little easier.
Silva: I hope they're all doing all right... The master, his wife, and those two sisters...
Lyria: When we have some time, let's go visit them at the workshop!
Silva: Yeah. It must seem ungrateful, all this time and no contact. Aaand there you have it, an assembled rifle.
Lyria: Wow! You put that complicated thing together even while we were talking!
Silva: Compliments embarrass me. You just get a knack for these kinds of things over time, Lyria.
Silva: I used to be careless, so gun maintenance would always take a lot of...
Silva: ...
Lyria: Silva? Is something wrong?
Silva: (Captain)! Lyria! Look over there! A large swarm of monsters!
They see something like a fuzzy black dot in the distant sky.
Lyria: Huh? That's a swarm of monsters?
Silva: I'm certain of it! And at our current pace, they're going to cut straight across our path!
Lyria: This is bad! We have to turn!
The crew tries to alter the Grandcypher's course, but the creatures approach with unanticipated speed.
Monster: Graagh!
Vyrn: Wh-whoa! They're already this close?
Silva: Evasion is out of the question now. There's no other choice.
Silva positions her rifle toward the encroaching swarm.
Vyrn: Snipes, what are you doin'! It doesn't matter how good you are, what's one gunner gonna do against that entire pack?
Silva: ...
Silva: Got you!
A bullet bursts out of Silva's rifle, finding its way into the center of the monster swarm. It cuts past air, wing, and limb until finally burying itself deep in the flesh of the most imposing monster.
Almost instantaneously the swarm loses momentum as swaths of monsters scatter in all directions.
Vyrn: Huh? Wh-what just happened?
Silva: I injured the swarm's alpha. The rest of the pack will be temporarily confused.
Silva: Now's our chance, (Captain)! Let's head for a nearby island!

Sonorous Ring: Scene 2

After clearing their way through the monsters, (Captain)'s crew land the ship on a nearby island.

The monsters continued their erratic and confused swarming, giving (Captain) and the crew a chance to land on a nearby island.
Vyrn: Yeesh! The skies are overrun with 'em!
Silva: Facing that many—things could turn ugly...
Silva: For now let's get somewhere safe. I spotted a town while we were landing. Come!
Vyrn: Geez, you have some serious concentration skills! Spottin' a town while fighting monsters!
Lyria: Your eyes are so sharp! You really are amazing, Silva!
Silva: Not really. Compared to Tweyen, my skills are nothing impressive.
Silva: That girl is far more... Nevermind, let's save the chatting for later.
Silva: (Captain), the monster swarm is starting to re-form. Let's proceed with caution.

Sonorous Ring: Scene 3

Arriving at a town, the crew learns that monsters swarm over the island during their migratory season. The townspeople normally repel the swarms by ringing a bell, but this year the monsters appeared unexpectedly early. The party decides to ring the bell in place of the townspeople.

(Captain) and the crew head to the next town, careful to avoid a head-on confrontation with the monster swarm.
Vyrn: Phew! We sure had it tough back there!
Silva: Yes, but we made it here with no serious injuries.
Townsman: Are you folk from the airship that touched down just now?
Silva: That's right. We ran into a giant swarm of monsters.
Townsman: How awful! The skies above this island serve as migration paths for those creatures around this season, you see.
Townsman: That's why we don't travel in airships until the season's over.
Lyria: Is that so? I suppose we should have gotten more information before coming here.
Townsman: Under normal circumstances we'd ring the bell on top of the hill to chase off the creatures.
Vyrn: A bell?
Townsman: Yes. Since the monsters dislike the sound, we use it as a repellant.
Townsman: But this time, the migration came earlier than we thought—too quick for the bell keeper to get to the bell tower.
Silva: Once the swarms arrive it must be difficult to reach that tower safely.
Townsman: Exactly. I'm afraid this time, we had no choice but to take shelter in our homes until the danger passed.
Townsman: However the largest swarm has yet to come, so there's no guarantee we'll be safe inside our homes from now on...
Silva: In other words this current swarm is merely a vanguard.
Silva: If a larger swarm comes later, it could put the Grandcypher at risk.
Vyrn: More monsters, more problems...
Silva: We should pay a visit to the bell tower. What do you think, (Captain)?
Silva: We'll be able to handle the current amount of monsters as we head toward the bell tower.
Silva: Repelling the main force before they even arrive seems like the most logical course of action.
  1. Right on! Let's head for that tower!
  2. Or we could just chill in the ship?

Choose: Right on! Let's head for that tower!
Townsman: Really? Of course the town will do something to repay you!
Vyrn: Oh, yeah? Sounds like rupies to my ears!

Choose: Or we could just chill in the ship?
Silva: Well... Of course that's one option...
Silva: However, we also have to consider our food reserves. I think it would be best to deal with the situation directly.
Lyria: You're right, Silva. We can do it, (Captain)!
Continue 1
Silva: Let's go, (Captain). The sooner, the better!

Sonorous Ring: Scene 4

The monster swarm is bearing down on the island when Silva saves the day with her quick thinking. A banquet is thrown in her honor, but all of the sudden praise reveals the sniper's bashful side.

Lyria: Wow... This isn't even all of the monsters, and there are already so many.
Silva: Yes. Even staying inside would provide little shelter against this many.
Vyrn: We've gotta hurry up, ring that thing, and drive 'em off quick!
Lyria: Just a little farther to the bell tower! Huh? Black clouds? Is it about to rain?
Silva: No! Not clouds! That's the main force!
A massive corps of monsters is approaching in the distance, their sheer numbers blanketing the skies.
Lyria: L-let's hurry! We have to ring the bell and scare them away!
Vyrn: Faster! We have to make it in time!
Silva: Wait.
Lyria: Silva!
The sniper begins to load her rifle with an unusual bullet.
Vyrn: Sniper, no sniping! We're not gonna make it in time!
Silva: No, we're close enough already!
Silva draws a breath, takes aim, and pulls the trigger.
Lyria: ...!
A single heartbeat later the bullet strikes the bell, emitting a sonorous ring.
Rebuffed by the sound, the monster swarm scatters and flees.
Vyrn: Y-you gotta be kiddin' me!
Silva: Phew... I was worried about hitting the correct angle to maximize the ringing, but it looks like it went well.
Vyrn: I'm runnin' out of words to describe you... You're too amazing!
Vyrn: Even after getting this close, that bell looks like the same size as an apple! How'd you hit it?
Silva: Heh-heh... I won't pretend I'm not proud of that shot, but it's still a little too early for praise.
Silva: We won't stop the swarm just by sounding the bell once. I'll bet they'll be back before long.
Silva: Let's clear a way to the bell tower and then go back for the bell keeper.
Lyria: Yes. Everyone be careful! Let's go, (Captain)!
The crew arrives at the bell tower. Silva takes guard in the belfry while the rest of the crew escorts the bell keeper from town.
Repelled by the bell, the growing monster swarm was unable to descend. It passed harmlessly over the island without causing any trouble.
Silva: Phew... What a relief. We got through that more or less unscathed.
Lyria: Yes! Thank goodness the townspeople and our ship are all right.
Vyrn: Yeah, all thanks to Snipes and her quick wit!
Silva: Really it was nothing.
Lyria: Of course it was! If you hadn't rung the bell at that exact time, I hate to think what could have happened.
Townsman: Allow us to give our thanks too. We would never have made it without you.
Vyrn: Way to go, Snipes!
Silva: Oh, well, um... You know, I...
Lyria: Huh? Silva, your face is bright red!
Silva: I-I'm not deserving of such praise...
Vyrn: Whaaaat? Of course you are!
Silva: (Captain), not you too! Y-you're embarrassing me!
Silva: Being praised like this after a tense moment... I don't know—it just makes me self-conscious.
Lyria: Hee hee! You're blushing, Silva. It's so cute!
Silva: Even Lyria's jumping in now! Is everyone making fun of me?
Vyrn: Hehe! Not at all! Right, (Captain)?
Silva: Oh really?
Vyrn: Hehe! You know what? We should throw a party! We can spend all night talking about how great Silva is!
Silva: H-hey now! I knew it! You are making fun of me, aren't you!
Silva: Listen, you shouldn't make fun of grown-ups! You hear me?
That night at the banquet, Vyrn recounts Silva's great deeds to the townsfolk, deeds that would grow to become legendary.
As Silva passes from table to table, people adorn her with accolades. This treatment causes the blushing sniper to lose her stern battlefield demeanor.
And while the remainder of Silva's journey with the Grandcypher crew would continue to temper her attitude, the sniper's trigger finger would be forever ready for the next target.

To Overcome Regret

While on a mission to protect a government official, Silva helps a city mount a defense against an approaching onslaught. Tweyen appears and unleashes her colossal power, surprising Silva and causing the sniper to call Tweyen a monster.

After completing their assignments for the day, (Captain) and the crew retire to the Grandcypher for the night.
Silva: ...
Silva is dreaming about an escort assignment she once undertook for an important client from Ravi Island.
Tweyen: Guarding a minister from Ravi, huh? Sounds like a serious job.
Silva: Yep. If I pull it off, they'll be talking about me in Ravi for sure. I'll finally be able to show my face back home.
Silva: I'll protect that minister no matter what. All my training as a sniper is finally going to pay off.
Silva parts from her best friend Tweyen and heads out to continue her assignment.
The sniper successfully brings the minister to his destination, but in the distance a frenzied, black cloud begins to ominously cover the sky.
Silva: (I can't see the beasts through my scope, but I can already smell them. Just how many are there?)
Silva is hit by a pungent stench as the footsteps of countless monsters rock the earth.
Silva: (I refuse to betray the trust of the people who sent me here by letting anything happen to the minister.)
Silva: (And even if I fail him, the least I can do is die trying. At least then I'll have my pride.)
Silva: (I'm so sorry, Camieux, Cucouroux... and Tweyen. We might never meet again.)
Silva: ...
Silva: (All right, come and get me! Just see what happens when you get into this gunner's range!)
Silva stares into the scope, not moving a muscle, and awaits her chance.
Something suddenly moves in Silva's peripheral vision, and she sees a ray of light streak over her head and pierce the ground in the distance.
Silva: ...?
More rays of light follow, and the area Silva is aiming at is gradually stained red.
Silva: Those look like Tweyen's magic arrows! But where's she firing from?
Silva turns to look for her friend, but Tweyen is nowhere to be found.
She stands there in stunned silence, watching the arrows shred the monsters.
Silva: I can't believe how strong you are, Tweyen... To think you can hit targets farther away than even this scope can see...
Silva: So you were too timid to show even me just how strong you really are?
Silva mutters as she watches arrows of light continue to streak over her head.
Silva: Ha-ha... What was I thinking?
Silva: I obviously couldn't have done anything against that many monsters. That must be why she came.
Silva can only watch as, well beyond her range, the ground is covered in blood.
Silva: Such devastating power...
Silva finally spots Tweyen, scarcely more than a speck of dust in the distance, and continues muttering to herself.
Silva: So this is what you were talking about...
Silva: The power of a monster...
The arrow fired as Silva mutters this veers off in an unexpected direction.
Silva: No way... Tweyen missed?
The barrage of magical arrows suddenly stops.
Silva: Don't tell me...
Silva: Did she see me? Did she read my lips?
Silva: Wait, Tweyen! That's not what I meant at all!
Silva screams desperately at her friend, but the sound of cannon fire drowns her out.
Silva: Looks like the monsters finally entered firing range...
Silva: And I can't just abandon my post and go to her now! Damn it!
Unable to pursue Tweyen, Silva joins the city's defense forces. Imagining how she might have hurt her friend's feeling, the sniper's grip on her rifle tightens.

To Overcome Regret: Scene 2

Silva is downhearted after causing her friend Tweyen so much pain. Her adopted sisters, Camieux and Cucouroux, notice her suffering, so they suggest she return to their family's workshop to take an extended rest.

Silva: Tweyen! Tweyen, where are you?
After narrowly repulsing the monster swarm, Silva races through the city, desperately searching for her friend.
Silva: Tweyen! Please don't leave me!
Silva: I was... I was so stupid!
Silva: Tweyen...
Silva: ...
Silva: Just a dream, huh...
Silva: (I can't change the fact that I hurt Tweyen... The most important friend I have...)
Silva: (That sensitive girl... So afraid of being called a monster...)
Silva: (I knew that, and yet I still said it.)
Silva: (It was my jealousy that made me say such a thing. I'm such an idiot!)
Silva begins her morning routine, her mind heavy with self-criticism.
Silva: (Tweyen... If you're known as a monster...)
Silva: (Then I want to be that type of monster too. Friends stick with each other after all.)
Silva: (But I'm scared. If I stood next to you... would I be able to unleash that same level of power?)
Silva: (On one hand I feel bad for leaving you, but on the other I keep running to protect myself...)
Silva: (I'd like to be friends again... if you'd take back an insufferable coward like me...)
Bathed in the morning sun shining through the window, a downtrodden Silva raises her head at the sound of a frenzied knock.
Cucouroux: Good morning, Silva!
Camieux: Gooood morning, Silva!
Silva: Ah, good morning, you two.
Cucouroux not in crew

Cucouroux: We came to check up on you! Hehe!
No version of Camieux in crew

Camieux: Just stoppin' by to see how you are, Sis! Hehehe!
Cucouroux: Hmm...
Silva: W-what are you looking at, Cucouroux? Do I have something on my face?
Cucouroux: Cammy, you know what I'm thinkin', right?
Camieux: Mhm-mhm! Maybe we're thinkin' on the same page!
Silva: Huh?
Cucouroux: Silva, you're sick, aren't you!
Camieux: Yeah! Your face color's all weird!
Cucouroux: Urgh... You always hide important stuff from us! We won't be fooled this time!
Silva: Oh... Uh—that's not exactly it...
A flustered Silva tries to break eye contact with the sisters, but a persistent Camieux walks back into her line of sight.
Camieux: Really? Truly, seriously, literally you're okay?
Silva: Yes, really. I'm fine.
Cucouroux: Urgh! That's even worse! You can't even tell when you're getting tired!
Camieux: Aaaah! Yeah! That's worse!
Cucouroux: Silva, you gotta come back to the house with us and get some more sleep!
Camieux: Yeah, Silva! Come home, eat Mom's food, and get some sleep!
Camieux: You'll be all better in no time flat!
Cucouroux: Yeah, yeah! Being tired's the first step to getting sick! Nothing good about skipping sleep!
Both Sisters: Sooo?
Silva: Thanks, Cucouroux, Camieux.
Silva: (Come to think of it... I promised Tweyen I'd introduce her to these two...)
Silva: (I can't even face her right now, much less keep my promise...)
Silva: (But this fear is something I have to deal with. I have to stop running.)
Cucouroux: Silva?
Silva: Ah, sorry for worrying you. Both of you.
Camieux: You're our sister! You can worry us all you want!
Silva: I'm so lucky to have you two around. Thanks.
Silva: Just this once I'll try to take your words to heart.
Cucouroux: Whaaat? Just this once!
Cucouroux: You should listen to us all the time! 'Til the end of time!
Camieux: Yeah, listen to me, Sis! I'm super helpful!
Silva: You're both absolutely right! And what would I do without your advice, Camieux?
Camieux: So you're gonna...
A wide-eyed Camieux grins and locks eyes with Cucouroux.
Silva smirks, walks out of the room, and goes to ask (Captain) to chart a course for her adopted family's workshop.

To Overcome Regret: Scene 3

Silva, hoping to make amends for her past transgression, decides to challenge Tweyen to a duel. The gunsmithing family supports her, and their display of generosity convinces Silva to show Tweyen the warmth of such a loving home.

Silva: Hello! Is anyone home?
Cucouroux: We're baaack!
Camieux: Mommy, Daddy! We're hooome!
Papa Gunsmith: Oh! All three of you are back! Come, let Papa get a look at ya!

Silva: Father, actually I've come to ask you something.
Papa Gunsmith: Let Papa guess: if you're back, it must mean you need a new rifle.
Silva: Yes...
Silva: I'm going to challenge Tweyen of the Eternals...
Cucouroux: ...!
Silva: I'm not attempting to match an Eternal in power. No, I need to surpass her.
Silva: Father, you can make a rifle to help me reach that goal. No other gunsmith will do.
Papa Gunsmith: Silva...
Silva: Yes, Father?
Papa Gunsmith: That gun you're using now, Coux put a lot of love into the design.
Papa Gunsmith: If it got any more sophisticated, you'd have quite a sensitive instrument on your hands. Not sure if it would hold out against an Eternal...
Papa Gunsmith: Right, Coux?
Cucouroux: Yeah. I designed the gun so maintenance would be a breeze.
Cucouroux: If we change it, something will have to give. Might get too heavy, or the accuracy could suffer...
Silva: It's a risk I'll have to take. Even if it's just once, I need to beat Tweyen.
Camieux: Silva...
Silva: It's not that I want the fame of bringing down an Eternal...
Silva: I-I just need to make amends... and recover something that I've lost. So... So...
Mama Gunsmith: You don't have to explain a thing, dear.
Silva: Mother...
Mama Gunsmith: How many years has it been since you left Ravi Island to start your training and wound up at our little shop?
Mama Gunsmith: You haven't said a selfish thing this whole time. Haha. Well, except for now.
Papa Gunsmith: Good grief. Since becoming your foster parents, we've cared about you so much.
Papa Gunsmith: No one knows just how serious you are—not like we do.
Papa Gunsmith: That seriousness, it was the only thing you ever gave us to worry about. But it looks like we raised you right.
Silva: Father...
Mama Gunsmith: You need to get something back, right? Well, go get it, honey! Get it and bring it back home!
Silva: Mother!
Cucouroux: All right! Looks like it's time to start planning!
Cucouroux: I was gonna say this sooner, but you don't have to worry about a thing! I'm a lot better at making designs than I was before!
Cucouroux: Oh! Just now! A flash of inspiration! If we can't change your gun too much, why don't we work on your bullets!
Camieux: Bullets? I'm real helpful at makin' bullets! Let me help!
Camieux: I got a special recipe for gunpowder!
Papa Gunsmith: Then it's settled! Time to get smithing!
The Gunsmiths: Yeah!
And thus the family of gunsmiths pulls their various specialties together to forge the perfect weaponry.
Cucouroux: Hmm… Make this part shaaarper... Oh, and over there! Stretch the bullet shell a little more!
Papa Gunsmith: Coux, that's going to shift the balance in the wrong way. Think about where the scope is...
Cucouroux: Oh, right!
Cucouroux: Hmm... Think, think, think... Ah! Do this here!
Silva: I'll be back later—off to do some firing practice. I'm using the mountain around back, all right?
Mama Gunsmith: H-hold on, dear! I'll pack your lunch for you! Just wait right there!
Cucouroux: When the gun fires... If we could just boost it with a little bit of Silva's magic power...
Camieux: Bingo! So let's mix this catalyst in the gunpowder...
Camieux: Uh-oh, how much of this stuff does it take? We're gonna have to get Silva to try it out.
The family continues working throughout the day.
Cucouroux: Hey, Silva! Test this baby!
Camieux: These are special bullets for the baby! I mean gun!
Silva: ...
Silva takes the elongated rifle presented to her by Cucouroux and Camieux.
Papa Gunsmith: Well, let's go have a test fire! To the mountain range!
Silva: Roger!
Equipped with her new lovingly crafted armaments, Silva heads out the door toward the mountain.
Silva: This... This rifle is superb...
Cucouroux: Heh-heh! That's because it was a special order made by Papa, Coux, and Cammy!
Camieux: Yeah! We used aaall the machines in the workshop! All of 'em! So there ain't no other gun like that one!
Silva: ...
Just as Silva ponders over how to properly thank her family for such a wonderful gift, her mother hands her a stack of brand-new neatly folded clothes.
Mama Gunsmith: Go on. Take 'em! Your mother couldn't just watch as everyone else was working so hard making that gun!
Silva: These are...
Mama Gunsmith: They're good for summer or winter, and they're made from a protective material.
Mama Gunsmith: Think of them as Mama being there to protect you. Now take 'em!
Silva: M-Mother! Thank you very much...
Cucouroux: Silva! Go try 'em on! I wanna see what they look like on you!
Silva: Sniffle... Okay...
Silva: How do I look?
Camieux: Whoa! You look so cool!
Cucouroux: Nobody beats Mom's sewing! Silva, that outfit looks really good on you!
Silva: Mother, Father. Cucouroux, Camieux. Thank you all so much...
Silva: I'm such a fortunate person.
Silva closes her eyes, trying to imprint this moment in her memory forever.
Silva: (Tweyen... How great would it be to have you in such a loving home...)
Silva: (I won't rest until I can make that a reality for you.)
Silva: (I'm going to come for you this time. I promise.)
The kindness of Silva's adopted gunsmithing family gives her the final boost of confidence she needs to challenge Tweyen.
After waiting for so long, the sniper is ready to confront the Eternal without hesitation.

Continue 1
Silva, back at Ravi Island, is continuing to prepare for the decisive showdown.
Silva: Smoke bombs: check.

Imperial drones: check.

Camieux's special bullets: double check.
Silva: I had to rely on so many people to get all this together. But is it really enough?
Silva: Stop it, Silva. It's too late to turn back now.
Silva: You have to become a monster yourself. Haven't you already made up your mind?
Silva's expression tightens into a stiff grimace as she continues pondering her coming battle. Her brow unfurrows when a monster steps into her keen line of sight.
Monster: Ghraaa...
Silva: My apologies, but I can't have you getting in my way. I'll have to make sure you don't interrupt my training.

By Your Side: Scene 2

The duel commences when Tweyen arrives at Ravi Island. Silva employs a series of successful tactics to ground Tweyen—but just before the Eternal comes crashing down, she begins to levitate again.

Silva: Tweyen should be showing up any moment now.
Silva: I'm ready.
Having arrived at their predetermined arena, Silva conceals herself in the shadow of a sandstone cliff.
Silva: ...
The sniper catches a glimpse of Tweyen soaring through the air.
Tweyen: Silva, you're not showing yourself. So I guess the battle's begun then.
Tweyen: You won't be able to escape my sight... I'll track you down!
Grasping her magic bow, Tweyen prepares to unleash an innumerable volley of arrows.
Just as she releases the first arrow, smoke envelops the Eternal.
Tweyen: Cough, cough!
Silva: (Got her!)
After throwing a smoke bomb, Silva dashes from her hiding spot while simultaneously launching flying vulcans.
Flying Vulcans: ...
Tweyen: Tch!
The vulcans, obscured by the smoke, begin an assault against Tweyen. The Eternal, in reaction, soars to a higher altitude to escape their attack.
Silva: I won't let you get away!
The sniper arrives at a different vantage point and hastily draws her rifle. She sets Tweyen in the crosshairs.
Tweyen plummets from the dissipating smoke screen, a rubber bullet falling from her abdomen.
Silva: You're not through yet. You wouldn't go down that easily, would you, Tweyen!
Just as Tweyen is about to make contact with the ground, she stabilizes her descent with a blast of wind. Floating in the air, she glares at Silva with furious magic eyes.

By Your Side: Scene 3

After their match concludes, Silva apologizes to Tweyen. The Eternal is grateful to have their friendship back.

Tweyen: Tch!
After taking more of Silva's punishing assault, Tweyen is knocked from the air once more.
Tweyen: Is that...
Tweyen expects an excruciating collision with the ground, but her fall is cushioned by a curiously placed mat.
Tweyen: D-did she really predict that I'd fall here!
Tweyen: I didn't notice at first, but she definitely directed me here...
A dumbfounded Tweyen raises her head to the sound of approaching footsteps.
Silva: T-Tweyen...
Tweyen: Silva...
Silva: ...
Unsure of what to say next, Silva extends a hand to the abased Eternal. Tweyen reaches for the outstretched limb but then hesitates and pulls back.
Tweyen not in crew

Silva: It's been so long...
Tweyen: Yeah, it really has...
Silva: I'm sorry, Tweyen.
Tweyen: ...!
Silva: I've wanted to apologize to you for the longest time, for hurting you so much...
Tweyen is a crew member

Silva: And for avoiding you even though we're in the same crew now...
Tweyen: ...
Silva: I was, in a way, running away from you. I wasn't sure I could handle it if I tried to apologize and you turned me away...
Silva: Especially considering how I so deeply envied your powers...
Tweyen: ...
Silva: But no matter how far I ran...
I never lost it—the feeling that I want to be your friend.
Tweyen: Silva...
Silva: To be your friend once again... I, too, felt I had to become a monster.
Silva: You flew to heights I couldn't reach, so I had to catch up to you and shoot you down...
Silva: So that finally we could look at each other one more time and smile.
Silva: But I learned something from fighting you today. We're not monsters at all.
Silva: If we had actually become monsters, if we had gone beyond what people are capable of, then we would fear nothing and no one. But we're not like that.
Silva: That's how I know I'm just like anyone else. You're the same, Tweyen. We still have our fears.
Tweyen: Y-yeah...
Silva: I won't let them. I won't let them call us monsters anymore.
Tweyen: Sniff... Silva...
Tweyen grasps Silva's hand.
Tweyen: T-thank you, Silva. For coming for me.
Silva: I'm so sorry. If I had just gone after you on that day...
Silva: I could've stopped you from suffering for so long.
Tweyen: No, no. I misunderstood you back then too. I thought you were angry.
Silva: Angry?
Tweyen: For getting in your way, despite knowing how much that assignment meant to you.
Tweyen: So I've been worried ever since. I thought... I thought I'd lost you.
Silva: Yeah... I'll admit that little spectacle was really frustrating...
Silva: But thinking back on it, I'm grateful for what happened. You got everyone, including me, out of there safely.
Silva: Thank you, Tweyen. I'm alive because of you.
Tweyen: I guess we are the same after all.
Tweyen: I was scared to find out how you felt, so I avoided you.
Tweyen is a crew member

Tweyen: You weren't the only one running away, Silva. I was too.
Silva: Yeah, we're the exact same.
Tweyen: Haha...
Little by little the pair finally relax and exchange smiles.
Tweyen: This talk is really important to me, but it looks like something's come to interrupt us.
Silva: You're right.
Silva and Tweyen almost simultaneously notice the distant disturbance.
Tweyen: Seems like a group of monsters nesting in the area.
Silva: I see... So those monsters I took care of before—I guess those were just scouts.
Tweyen: I'll pick off the group.
Silva: Roger that. Leave the alpha to me.
Tweyen: Don't shoot yourself in the foot, Silva!
Silva: Right back at you, Tweyen!
Saving the rest of their emotional reunion for later, Silva and Tweyen confront the monster troop.

By Your Side: Scene 4

Silva takes Tweyen to her real home, a home she hasn't returned to in some ten years. Once there the sniper, the Eternal, the gunsmithing family, and Silva's real parents spend a few blissful days together.

Silva: Phew. That should persuade the monsters to look for new territory. There's a few houses nearby, so we did well to get rid of them.
Tweyen: By the way... Why did you call me out to Mephorash?
Silva: Huh? Oh, come with me for a minute and you'll understand.
Tweyen: What? It's not like you to be so mysterious.
Without answering Tweyen's question, Silva walks out into the sandy wilderness.
She leads Tweyen to an isolated house nearby.
Tweyen: ...
Silva: I'm home!
Tweyen: This place!
???: Aah... Aaaah! Silva! Silva, it's really you!
???: You're such a beautiful young lady now!
Silva: Mother, Father. Finally I'm home...
Silva and her parents exchange an embrace, squeezing tight to make up for the almost ten years since they had last met.
Tweyen: (Ah... That's right. Silva hasn't been home since she left Ravi Island to start her training. This place was closed off soon after she left.)
Cucouroux: Silva! You're back!
Camieux: You said you were comin' here, so I came here first and made some food! It's waitin' for you!
Mama Gunsmith: Come now, have a seat! Don't stand in the doorway, dear! Huh? Who's this?
Mama Gunsmith: Huh? Who's this?
Tweyen: Um...
Silva's Mother: Oh! You're the one that Silva was talking about...
Silva: Yeah. This is my best friend, Tweyen.
Tweyen: Y-yeah! I'm Tweyen! Pleased to meet you!
Silva's Mother: Welcome, welcome! Make yourself at home!

Silva's Mother: Everyone, go ahead and pull up a chair. We can keep talking while eating.

Silva: There's so much I want to talk about...
Silva: So many things I need to talk about...
Tweyen, Silva's family, and the gunsmiths spend the next few days in peaceful bliss.
And thus the sniper who was once bereft of her family and friend finds herself reunited with all that she holds dear in the world.

Another Family

Reunited on (Captain)'s ship, Camieux tells Silva how worried they've been at the workshop after not hearing from her in so long. Camieux admonishes Silva to take better care of herself and not be afraid to rely on her adoptive family. Surprised by how much Camieux has grown, Silva decides that the two of them should write a letter to the workshop.

Silva and Camieux have been reunited as members of (Captain)'s crew.
Delighted at their chance reunion, the two decide to talk over some tea.
Silva: Hee hee. The tea is ready. Here you are, Camieux.
Camieux: Thank you! Hee hee. It's been so long since we had tea together!
Silva: And I can't believe we ended up joining the same crew... The world is smaller than I thought.
Camieux: I know! I mean, I'm happy to see you, but it was a big surprise!
Silva: I must admit I was surprised to see you too.
Camieux: Silva, you never come around the workshop anymore. Are you doing okay?
Camieux: I mean... I know you can't go back home anymore, so... Papa's worried, too. We're all worried.
Silva: I'm sorry... Before I joined this crew, I was on a long-term job. I couldn't contact anyone.
Camieux: Oh... Well, if it was a job, I guess that makes sense...
Camieux: But, you know... If you're trying not to be a bother, then stop it!
Silva: Huh? Well, I... I mean...
Silva: When I left my hometown, Papa Gunsmith let me stay at the workshop because he knew my father... Everyone was very kind to me.
Silva: I know I owe a lot to all of you, and I love your whole family. That's exactly why I don't want to be too dependent on you.
Camieux: Urgh... So you were trying not to be a bother? You know Papa and Mama think of you like their own daughter.
Camieux: And of course, me and Cucouroux love you like a sister too!
Camieux: So we don't want you acting like a stranger...
Silva: Camieux...
Camieux: When I don't hear from you, I start to worry that you might be lying somewhere, hurt and crying, you little such-and-such!
Camieux: And I know you're always pushing yourself, so I wonder whether you're getting enough sleep, or eating right!
Camieux: And... And...
Silva: Thank you, Camieux. Hee hee. Look at you, lecturing me like this. I never would have imagined it.
Silva: In my mind, you've always been the little girl tagging along after Cucouroux, peeking out from behind her back.
Silva: You've grown so much... For a minute, I felt like it was one of your parents scolding me.
Camieux: Tee hee hee. I sounded like Mama and Papa? Maybe I am growing up!
Silva: There is definitely a resemblance. You and Cucouroux are both just like your parents.
Camieux: Yay! Heh heh, I have gotten a lot braver since I joined this crew.
Camieux: Yeeeek! Wh-wh-what was thaaaat!
Frightened by a noise, Camieux leaps out of her chair and flings her arms around Silva.
Silva: Oof! It sounded like something fell down.
Silva gently strokes Camieux's hair, then takes the shivering girl outside for a look around.
Lyria: Oh! Hello, Silva and Camieux.
Silva: Lyria? And (Captain). Oh, you were carrying some cargo. That's a pretty big box.
Lyria: Oh, did the noise scare you? I'm sorry, my hand slipped...
Silva: I see... It's not that heavy, but that size is pretty awkward to handle. Why don't we unpack it and split the contents between us?
Camieux: Aye, sir! I'm helping, too!
Lyria: Thank you! That would be great!
Silva: Hee hee, and when we've finished, we can all have some tea together.
Silva: After that, Camieux, I want to write a letter to everyone at the workshop. Will you help me?
Silva: We can tell them all about our crew, and the journey we've been on.
Camieux: Of course! They'll be soooo happy to hear from you!
Silva and Camieux laugh joyfully.
Their sisterly bond will only deepen as they journey together across the skies.

Big Sister's Big Sis

Silva and Cucouroux share sisterly bonding time as they express concern for one another. The day ends with Cucouroux tucked into bed and lulled off to sleep by Silva.

(Captain) and company have taken a request to transport some cargo between islands.
Little did they know that it would turn out to be an extraordinarily tedious mission.
Vyrn: Man, that job was a pain in the tail. There must've been a million monsters back there!
Silva: Not to mention we had to cross half the island just to get that seal of approval.
Lyria: Oh, my legs... I can't walk another step.
Cucouroux: Whoa! Careful there, Lyria. Here, put your arm over my shoulder. Just hang in there till we get to the inn, okay?
Cucouroux: Heh. You're looking a little wobbly yourself, (Captain). Make sure you get some rest tonight, all right?
With the help of Cucouroux, the crew makes their way to the inn after a long, hard day.
After seeing (Captain) and the others off to their rooms, Cucouroux finally reaches her own bed.
Cucouroux: Urgh. Ol' Cucouroux here needs a good long nap herself.
Cucouroux: Dear me. I can't be goin' all soft when everyone's looking up to me.
Silva: Cucouroux! Are you there?
Cucouroux: Whoa! S-Silva?
Silva: Hey relax, no need to get up. Just lie down and rest.
Cucouroux: Is everything all right? Do you need me to tune-up your gun?
Silva: No, no. You just seemed really tired, I was worried about you.
Cucouroux: Guess the cat's out of the bag, huh? Yeah, I'm... a little tired.
Cucouroux: Just a teensy-tiny bit, though! It's no big deal, really! A quick nap and I'll be back in tip-top shape!
Silva: Oh, Cucouroux. You always push yourself too hard.
Silva lays a gentle hand on Cucouroux's forehead.
Silva: Hmm, no fever... yet. You'd better get some rest before you get any worse.
Silva: I know you want to put on a brave face when you're around Camieux and the others, but sometimes you overdo it .
Cucouroux: Yeah, you're right... I'll be more careful, okay? And I'll get some rest.
Cucouroux: But I don't want to hear that coming from you, Silva. You can't take the moral high ground here.
Silva: Huh? What do you mean?
Cucouroux: You've done the exact same thing since we were little! And you won't even admit it!
Cucouroux: Remember that time when we all got soaked in the rain?
Cucouroux: You rushed us home and were so busy making sure we wouldn't catch a cold that you didn't even stop to dry yourself off.
Cucouroux: You worked yourself so hard you collapsed.
Silva: Err, heh heh. Guess that did happen one time.
Cucouroux: That didn't happen just once. Remember when you were still learning from that marksman?
Cucouroux: When you hurt your hand from all the practice, you hid it. Mom gave you an earful when she found out.
Silva: I'm sorry. I didn't want you to worry about me, but I guess that wasn't the way to do it.
Cucouroux: Heh heh! See! I'm not the only one who overdoes it!
Silva: Well you're quite the talker, aren't you? I remember way back when I first met you and Camieux...
Silva: Camieux came back crying her eyes out. She said some boys at school had made fun of her.
Silva: You were so angry when you heard that. You stormed out of the house and really taught those boys a lesson.
Silva: Heh, it turned into quite the scene. Dad gave you a stern talking to after that.
Cucouroux: Argh, how do you even remember that!
Silva: Haha, just a reminder that you're not the only one who has some embarrassing stories up her sleeve.
Cucouroux: Heh. Well played, Sis.
Silva: And don't you forget it. You're outta your league if you think you can beat me at that game.
Silva: Well, look at the time. Cucouroux, you need to get some shut-eye.
Cucouroux: (Yawn)
Sure will, I'm beat.
Silva: Goodnight, Cucouroux.
Cucouroux: Goodnight, Sis.
Cucouroux lays down, shuts her eyes, and drifts off into bliss.
Watching over her beloved younger sister, Silva sings a calming lullaby that drifts through the air.
