| The last king of Irestill Kingdom. He is the grandson of the former king's younger brother, who took on the title of duke, and is Mugain's second cousin. Serving as a magistrate in the castle during his youth, he often had words for Mugain for going off to town to observe the populace with only Elisheba by her side. As a fellow vassal at the time, Elisheba found Connor to be insolent, but Mugain, on the other hand, found Connor's demeanor to be rather admirable and took a liking to him. Meanwhile, Connor's brother Mac Nessa praised his fervor and cleanliness but lambasted his compulsive temperament and emotional attachment, recommending time and time again that he stay away from politics and become a scholar instead. Having ascended the throne by his wife Mugain's good graces, Connor was never the same again after her passing. His failure to govern the kingdom properly went hand in hand with his deteriorating mental state. When a grave misstep on his part led to his death during the great monster assault on the castle, some believed he looked to be at peace, but Elisheba urges those present on that fateful day to keep that thought to themselves. |
