Proving Grounds Underway!

Proving Grounds is now underway!

Proving Grounds is a limited-time event where players participate in sets of multiple battles called sorties.

Face the waves of foes and prove your parties' might!

Sortie
Sorties consist of multiple battles and require players to form multiple parties.

       <img src="/assets_en/img/sp/banner/notice/news_sequenceraid_5.png" width="252">

  • Sortie Parties
           Support Summon

A support summon can be selected at the start of a sortie, and the same summon will be applied throughout the sortie.

    Party Restrictions

Parties may share weapons and summons, and the main character may use the same class and skills, but characters (including their other versions) can only be included in one party per sortie.
No changes can be made to a party that has won a battle until the sortie is cleared or evacuated.

  • Battles
Each sortie can be cleared by winning all of its battles.

Characters included in the first party can't be included in the second party.
For the third battle, the sortie party from previous battles may be selected once again.

    Party Status
If you select a party used in previous battles, the character's status, such as HP, buffs, debuffs, skill cooldown, and status effects will not be reset. On the other hand, summon aura effects, support skill effects, and weapon skill effects that change based on the number of turns passed and field effects will be reset.

Choosing the previous party has both advantages and disadvantages. Grasp the party's state and make the wisest tactical decision!

    Green Potions
From this run, the number of green potions will be reset at the start of each battle in a sortie. Use potions in each battle without worrying about the stock for the battles ahead!

  • Difficulties

Available difficulties for sorties are as follows. Each difficulty unlocks by clearing the previous difficulty. (Numbers in the parentheses indicate the number of battles.)

               Very Hard (2)
    Extreme (2)
    Extreme+ (2)
    Maniac (2)

    Proud (3)
    Proud+ (3)

    • Maniac sortie can be cleared only once a day. The limit resets daily at 5 a.m. (JST).

    • Maniac sortie can be retried until cleared even if you've evacuated from it.

    • Proud and Proud+ sorties can be played repeatedly with no AP from the second time onward, but their loot can only be obtained once during the event.

    • No elixirs can be used in Proud and Proud+ sorties.

    • The might of foes in Proud and Proud+ sorties is significantly greater than in other difficulties. Proud+ sortie will especially be the most challenging content among all the event quests in the game. A well thought-out battle strategy and party formation will be required to overcome these challenges.

    • Foes that appear in Extreme and harder-difficulty sorties have resistance to all elements except for water. All elements other than water will deal less damage than normal.

  • Battle Tips

For this Proving Grounds, damage dealt will be boosted even more by lowering foes' elemental ATK or DEF. Include characters that can give a hit to elemental ATK or DEF in the party to take advantage!

Water characters with skills or charge attacks capable of this will be indicated by an icon displayed under their thumbnail on the character list when forming a sortie party.

  • PG Points

By satisfying certain requirements during sortie battles, PG points will be accumulated. The requirements fall into three categories. The categories and requirements are as follows.

    Damage
    Deal damage to foes

    Action Bonuses
Use skills, call summons, activate chain bursts, etc.

    Results
Clear the battle under certain conditions, such as having all six characters remaining, clearing within ten turns, including SR or R characters in the party, etc.

There is a limit to PG points that can be earned in one battle.
  • Retrying

You can retry each battle if the entire party is knocked out or you retreat from a battle. The party and foes will be reset to their state before the battle.
When retrying, the sortie party for that battle can be edited.

    Evacuation

To end a sortie, tap the Evacuate button on the event page. Battle progress in the sortie will be reset, and the sortie can be started over from the first battle.

AP used to start the sortie won't be returned when the sortie is evacuated.

If a sortie battle is in progress, you can continue to play it even after the event period. However, regardless of the battle result, that sortie will end after the battle and will be considered as an evacuated sortie.
  • Rankings

The results of the Proud and Proud+ sorties will be ranked, and the top hundred players for each sortie will be displayed on the event page's Rankings section.

Rankings will be based on the total number of turns it took to complete each sortie (the fewer the turns to complete, the higher the ranking).

When there are players with the same total number of turns, players who scored more PG points in the sortie will be placed higher.

There are no ranking rewards, but the trophy Train Those Fast-Twitch Muscles will be rewarded to those who clear the Proud+ quest within 20 turns.

  • Event Loot
You can obtain loot from each battle of a sortie. In addition, if you clear all battles, you will get more loot as a completion reward!

Aside from the loot from each sortie, you'll be able to pick up items by gathering battle badges and PG points. The loot includes an event-exclusive weapon, a gold spellbook, and an SSR draw ticket!

    Event Period
      5 p.m., Sep 7–8:59 p.m., Sep 12, 2019 (JST)

    Changes from the Previous Event
    • Summons' thumbnail images in the rankings will now correspond to their uncap state.
    • When forming a sortie party, you can now load another party from sortie parties in addition to normal parties.
    • The number of potions will be reset at the start of each battle in a sortie.
    • The requirements to earn the following trophies have been adjusted.

      Oiled-Up Mr. Universe
Changed to clear the sortie Red Trooper 30 times in Proving Grounds instead of 50 times.

      If I'm a Musclebrain, I'm a Genius
Changed to clear the sortie Red Trooper 50 times in Proving Grounds instead of 100 times.

For players who have already satisfied these new requirements in the past Proving Grounds but have not earned the trophies, clearing the sortie once will earn you the trophies.
    Notes
    • An event character's loyalty will not rise by clearing sortie battles.

    Thank you for playing,
