A Slice of Summer - Beach House Boogaloo - Episode 1
Kaz leaves the beach house in the hands of the crew while he visits an old friend. Percival praises Lunalu's drawings, causing her to swoon.
(Captain) and crew are enjoying their summer vacation at Venera Beach while helping Kaz run the beach house.
One day, Kaz receives word that a fisherman friend of his has been injured.
Kaz: Sorry to spring this on you, but I need to go visit an injured friend.
Lyria: I hope your friend feels better soon... Have a safe trip, Kaz.
Kaz: Thanks. I should close up for the day. I won't put the open sign out.
Vyrn: Hey, Mr. Fisherman, maybe we could handle running the shop while you're gone?
Vyrn: Wouldn't want to let those cooking lessons from yesterday go to waste!
Lyria: That's an idea. Without Kaz, we won't be able to make most of the dishes...
Lyria: But we're all pretty used to working at the beach house, so we might as well give it a shot!
Kaz: If you insist...
Kaz agrees to let the crew handle things, even though he doesn't want to see them struggle with the shop.
With a heavy heart and a few apologies, Kaz finally leaves to see his friend.
From there, the crew finishes preparations and opens the store.
Vyrn: All right, let's make today a good one!

Percival: So be it. If (Captain) requests assistance, I will gladly spend the day in their service.
Wave after wave of tourists visiting Venera Beach flock to the beach house.
Easygoing Tourist: Excuse me! Can I get two orders of curry, please?
Lyria: Of course! Will you be dining in today?
Easygoing Tourist: No, I'd rather eat outside. Can I bring the trays and plates back when I'm done?
Lyria: Of course! Here's your two orders of curry!
Lunalu: Whew. Sure is hot today...
Lyria: Oh, hi, Lunalu! Sketching outside again?
Lunalu: Yeah, there's lots of people in swimsuits... Even the guys are wearing skimpy clothing!
Lunalu: It makes it a lot easier to practice drawing the human form.

Lunalu: Thanks for letting me take time off from working at the beach house to practice. I really appreciate it.
Lyria: Don't worry about it! Right, (Captain)?

Vyrn: Oh, that's right. Lunalu, you're working on an illustrated storybook or something, right?
Lunalu: Yes. Fantastic knights, elusive princes... the stuff of storybook daydreams.
Lunalu: That's the kind of world I'm trying to create through words and pictures.

Lunalu: No, I'm struggling to get the facial expressions right...
Lunalu: My figure drawings are getting better though. I think...
Lunalu sighs as she opens her sketchbook.
Vyrn: When I look at your pictures, they kind of freak me out. Your monster drawings are too good, Lunalu!
Lunalu: Yeah... But I'm worried my pictures are too scary... Hey! No peeking, Vyrn!
Percival: Hrm. No need for modesty. There's life in these pictures.
Lyria: Right? They look like they might just leap off the page...
Lunalu: Eeek! Wh-why are you all looking over my shoulder?

Vyrn: Huh? When did you get here, Sir Burnsalot?
Percival: It is the duty of a lord to check in on the work of one's vassal.
Lyria: Haha, Percival's been telling me that ever since we met back at the beach the other day.
Vyrn: Well, whatever. As long as he helps out with the beach house, I don't care why he's here.
Lunalu: (Huh? Don't tell me...)
Lunalu: Er, if I may... You wouldn't happen to be a knight, would you?
Percival: Indeed, I used to be part of a band of knights.
Lunalu: I-is that so?
Lunalu: (Wow... A real knight, in the flesh!)
Percival: Your pictures are quite different from portraits and other art I'm more familiar with, but they're... not bad.
Percival: You're always hiding your art with this graceless air, so I assumed the worst. However...

Vyrn: What happened to Lunalu? She just collapsed all of a sudden!
Lyria: Oh no! She's beet red! I wonder if she's got a fever? We better cool her off quick!
Lunalu: If this is a dream... don't wake me up...
