Little Skyfarer a la Sacre Blumiel! - Ending

Charlotta judges and happily gobbles down every teams' dishes, restoring her vitality. Her quick recovery prompts Cordelia to finally conduct the inquisition, but Cordelia decides that Charlotta is the embodiment of the tenets of the order.

Queen Bee: Hmm? I guess there's no way you'd be a threat to my hive after all.
Queen Bee: Remember? I said I like 'em strong.
Queen Bee: But to make it this far—that really shows your stamina.
Queen Bee: Hehe. You were great fun. Let's do this again sometime, all right? Being a queen can be so dull.
After proving their strength to Queen Bee, Team (Captain) receives their promised royal honey.
They hurry back to the Grandcypher to begin putting the final touches on their dish.
Vyrn: Now we just gotta remember all the stuff we've learned about cookin', and this'll be in the bag!
Lyria: Leave the bananas to me! I've had the most practice frying them!
Vyrn: And I'll handle the salad! This time I'll use just the right amount of truffle salt!
(Captain) is left with the main dish, a prismaprawn friedough.
The prismaprawn's hard claws and shell present a grueling task at first, but (Captain) is able to cleanly extract the meat.
Lyria: Wow, (Captain)! You're so good at that!
Vyrn: Well, yeah, we read so many cookbooks! Hehe!
After prepping the prismaprawn, (Captain) begins working on the sweet chili sauce.
Vyrn: These cayenne peppers were crazy hot.
Lyria: The sweet royal honey is supposed to be a perfect match for them. I can't wait to see how it turns out!
At long last Team (Captain) finally completes their dish for the Big Skyfarer's Lunch Showdown.
Vyrn and Lyria: It's done!
It's really done!
Vyrn: Well, for better or worse, these are gonna decide if we win or not! The anticipation's making my wings all sweaty!
Lyria: I just hope that we can make Charlotta happy!
Team (Captain), their dish in hand, hurries to Charlotta.
Sevastien: Ahem. Before we begin judging, please allow me to commemorate the occasion with an expression of graditutde toward our participants.
Sevastien: I would like to deeply thank all of you for both your interest and ambition in this competition.
Sevastien: And now I'll reiterate the rules.
Sevastien: Team Baotorda. Team Brodelia.
Sevastien: And Team (Captain). All of your respective dishes have been brought and lined up for judging.
Sevastien: Captain Charlotta will act as our judge this afternoon.
Sevastien: The only criterion she will be using for judging is her own satisfaction level.
Sevastien: Everyone, have you understood the rules clearly?
Sevastien waits to see confirmatory nods from the contestants and then continues.
Sevastien: To the team that manages to pull off a spectacular victory, I will teach them the legendary Lumiel Gourmand recipe!
Sevastien: Captain Charlotta, are you ready to begin?
Charlotta: Indeed! I'm ready and excited to try everyone's Big Skyfarer's Lunches!
Sevastien: Let's begin. Our first dish will be from Team Baotorda.
Charlotta: Let's see what you've made!
Charlotta drives her spoon into the dish.
Charlotta: Munch...
Baotorda: ...
Charlotta: This is delicious! It's a hamburger steak, right? The meat has a strong taste...
Charlotta: But it's marbled so well that the texture is soft. It really melts in your mouth!
Charlotta: What's this on top of the steak?
Sevastien: Hmm, that seems to be a generous amount of foie gran.
Charlotta: Ah, foie gran! This is my first time having it.
Charlotta: But it's unique, savory flavor complements the burger so well! It's a perfect balance!
Charlotta: Hmm... It looks good, tastes good, and was made well...
Charlotta: And I've never tried anything quite like this...
Baotorda: I imagined an elegant woman having dinner at a ritzy restaurant while preparing this dish.
Charlotta: Oh, I totally see it! It really is a beautiful dish!
Baotorda: Thank you very much.
Sevastien: Up next we have a Big Skyfarer's Lunch prepared and presented by Team Brodelia.
Bridgette: Ah, umm... P-please enjoy!
Cordelia: ...
Charlotta: Wow, what a gorgeous dish! Could you tell me more about it, please?
Bridgette: Y-yes! Well, we combined tea-braised pork with a variety of ingredients before finishing it in a big pan.
Cordelia: We wanted to create something with a texture pleasing to both the eye and the palate.
Charlotta: Well, it certainly whets my appetite! I think I'll dive right in!
Charlotta: It's going to be hard to eat this without ruining the lovely appearance... Let's see—cut here and...
Charlotta: A-aaah! I ruined the presentation!
Charlotta: My deepest apologies!
Bridgette: Don't worry! It's all the same after you eat it anyway!
Cordelia: Haha... Ahem. Excuse me.
Charlotta: Oh, I'm so ashamed...
Charlotta: But I'll pull it together for the sake of judging this beautiful food!
Charlotta: Munch, munch, chew...
Charlotta: Ohh! This is such an intriguing texture!
Charlotta: It's delicious! This lumpy black stuff is a great topping!
Sevastien: That would be the famous delicacy known as the black pearls of the sea, graviar.
Charlotta: So smooth, so gorgeous, so, soo delicious! It was excellent!
Bridgette: Th-thank you very much!
Sevastien: And then that brings us to our final competitors, Team (Captain).
Charlotta: Oh! Team (Captain), I have a feeling I'm already very well acquainted with your dish!
Charlotta: But something about this shrimp screams excellence...
Sevastien: O-oh my, that's prismaprawn. To come across such an ingredient as this...
Sevastien: Hmm... And you've chosen to use it in a friedough. The accompanying chili sauce was certainly a good choice.
Charlotta: Well, let's try it! Hmm... Um...
Charlotta: This... This...
Charlotta stuffs a piece of fluffy omelette in her mouth.
Charlotta: Seriously this...
She then devours a piece of the banana friedough and some of the salad.
Charlotta: This is exactly what I was looking for!
Vyrn: Hehe! It's that good!
Baotorda: The way Captain Charlotta's stuffing her cheeks...
Lyria: What's the matter?
Baotorda: Oh, you didn't notice? It's the same way she would scarf down Little Skyfarer's Lunches.
Bridgette: And that look in her eyes—it's much different from when she was eating either of our dishes.
Cordelia: Haha, I can see it. The way she's holding the spoon in her mouth, it's like she's retrieved her childhood innocence.
Baotorda: You're right.
Sevastien: Hahaha... What a splendid showdown.
Team (Captain)'s Big Skyfarer's Lunch has driven Charlotta into a delectable, heavenly stupor. The winner of the competition is clear.
Charlotta: Ah! Sorry, this food just put me in a trance!
Sevastien: Haha. Based on your reaction, it would seem the dish prepared by Team (Captain) held both your stomach and mind in unanimous satisfaction.
Sevastien: So, madam, please announce your decision.
Charlotta: Thank you, Grandbutler!
Charlotta: And the winner of the Big Skyfarer's Lunch Showdown iiis: Team (Captain)!
Vyrn: All right, (Captain)! We're the winners!
Lyria: We actually did it!
Cordelia: Well met.
Bridgette: Congratulations! Even though we lost, it was still great fun!
Baotorda: Good work. I was aiming to take the victory, but it seems I was no match for you.
Charlotta: But I really enjoyed everyone's dishes!
Sevastien: Victory was achieved by the team that was able to preserve the spark that makes a Little Skyfarer's Lunch a Little Skyfarer's Lunch.
Charlotta: Based on taste alone, the race was honestly neck and neck.
Charlotta: Every single dish was exquisite and filled with flavor!
Charlotta: But, Baotorda, Cordelia, and Bridgette, your cooking was—how can I say this...
Charlotta: Just a little unfamiliar to me...
Sevastien: Rather than preparing a Big Skyfarer's Lunch, you might have overshot and accidentally produced a Big Skyfarer's Dinner.
Vyrn: Oh wow, so in the end they had too much grown-uptitude.
Cordelia: We weren't able to comply with Captain Charlotta's wishes after all.
Baotorda: Cooking is a profound thing.
Sevastien: And now, just as I first promised, I present to you the Lumiel Gourmand recipe.
(Captain) accepts the recipe from Sevastien's hand.
Lyria: I'm so happy! We'll be able to make everyone smile with this recipe!
Lyria: Charlotta's feeling better too, so now we just...
Cordelia: ...
Having made a full recovery, Charlotta now faces an inquisition at the hands of Cordelia.
Everyone's celebratory expressions begin to sour as this realization spreads across the room.
Wrapped in the tense air, a stone-faced Charlotta stands directly in front of Cordelia.
Charlotta: ...
Cordelia: Captain Charlotta, per our agreement, we will now begin the inquisition procedures.
Cordelia stares directly at Charlotta.
Cordelia: By the virtuous name of his Eminence, and in accordance with the Lumiel inquisition code, I bid you, answer my question.
Cordelia: What does justice mean to you? Swear to the azure sword that you will speak no falsehood!
Charlotta: What is justice...
Charlotta: I will never forget the day my life was saved by the order on that snow-covered mountain, nor will I cease admiring them.
Charlotta: I vowed to become someone capable of protecting others. That vow is my justice.
Charlotta: A just heart helped me when I was weak. It helped me to become stronger.
Charlotta: The gratitude and happiness of being saved, it's an emotion I can't put into words...
Charlotta: But it's that very emotion that I want others to experience.
Charlotta: I believe that if a cycle of mutual aid swells throughout the world, then happiness will swell with it.
Charlotta: So I will remain forever pure, forever righteous... in pursuit of my own justice.
Charlotta: Even if I am expelled from the Lumiel Order of Holy Knights, my beliefs won't change.
Charlotta: Justice means forever walking by the divine spirit. And I don't need an order to do that.
The room is still, everyone watching the pair with bated breath. Cordelia lets out a terse sigh.
Cordelia: Your justice has been witnessed.
Cordelia: Your integrity has never been forgotten. There is no other captain that we, the Lumiel Order of Holy Knights, can so proudly boast of.
Cordelia lowers her head in a display of loyalty.
Charlotta: Cordelia...
Bridgette: Cordelia!
Lyria: So... she's not guilty?
Cordelia: How would one find fault on hands so pure?
Cordelia: Captain Charlotta's report will consist of—and should consist of—nothing but the truth.
Cordelia: And one more thing... Captain Charlotta, I want to take this moment to offer my deepest apologies.
Cordelia: Captain, I humbly ask for your forgiveness.
Charlotta: Cordelia!
Cordelia: ...!
Charlotta: You carried out your duty as a praetor until the very end. Excellent work, knight!
Cordelia: Captain Charlotta...
Charlotta: Forever pure, forever righteous... Continue to seek justice in all that you do!
Charlotta: Is that understood?
Cordelia: Yes, ma'am.
Lyria: I'm so glad! For both Charlotta and Cordelia!
Bridgette: Cordelia! I knew you would do what's right!
Cordelia: Haha. I told you, didn't I? I have to follow my own justice too.
Baotorda: Well then, shall we hold a banquet with the food everyone's made?
Vyrn: Yeah! We made a ton of stuff! I'll go get our share!
Charlotta: Ah, I'll help you!
Charlotta: Oh, (Captain), that banana friedough was simply marvelous...
Charlotta was able to overcome her recent dilemmas through both the help of her friends and no small effort of her own.
The banquet, full of smiles and cheer, lasted well into the evening.
Bonds of reforged friendship, born from a place of mutual respect and understanding, fill the Grandcypher as it sails through the night sky.
Sevastien: Hahaha. Seems I was worried for nothing.
The curious turmoil between the Lumiel Order of Holy Knights and the Grandcypher has finally drawn to an amicable, if not delicious, close.
A few days later.
Lyria: Umm... It's edible and all, but...
Bridgette: I made it exactly according to the recipe... How strange...
Recently the crew have been trying to utilize the Lumiel Gourmand recipe in everything they cook.
Lyria: No matter what we do, we just can't make anything like Sevas did.
Baotorda: There might be nothing we can do.
Baotorda: Maybe Sevastien earned the title Lumiel Gourmand, because he's the only one capable of this technique?
Bridgette: What do you mean?
Baotorda: Following recipes blindly does not a culinarian make. One needs skill to match.
Vyrn: What!
Baotorda: There is a degree to which ordinary people cannot imitate masters. If it's true of swordsmanship, then it is doubly true of cooking.
Lyria: Ah... That's a little disappointing...
Vyrn: Really? Even you can't handle it, Baotorda? You're so good at cookin'!
Lyria: When we saw you cooking, Baotorda, you looked like you were having so much fun. I want to try cooking with you some day!
Vyrn: Haha! Yeah, I never took you for the type to croon when you're workin'!
Baotorda: It's not that strange...
Bridgette: Huh? Baotorda sings? That's surprising!
Charlotta: Haha. Oh, I was aware of that! He's always been one to visit la-la land when he's working.
Charlotta: He's able to so thoroughly concentrate on cooking that he's capable of blocking out everything around him!
Baotorda: Captain Charlotta, any further talk...
Charlotta: Baotorda has gained quite the reputation within the order for being a secret songbird!
Vyrn: Really? Baotorda, sounds like you're famous!
Baotorda: I never knew I was such a worthy topic of discussion...
Bridgette: I've never heard any of these rumors. It's my first time finding out!
Baotorda: If I had known my peculiarites were being watched so closely, I would have been unable to cook.
Charlotta: Hahaha. And that's yet another one of your great sides!
Charlotta: And on that note, (Captain), I'm off to patrol!
Bridgette: Ah! I'll go too! I still need to do my good deed for the day!
Charlotta rushes out of the Grandcypher, Bridgette in her wake.
The captain of the Lumiel Order of Holy Knights spends the rest of the day living up to the very height of her purpose: to find and help those in need.
Vyrn: How's about we go grab another mission too?
The crew passes the remainder of the peaceful afternoon discussing their next objective.
Cordelia, on the other hand, experiences an entirely different kind of afternoon.
Footsteps echo through the hallowed assembly hall of the Holy Knights.
Cordelia: I've come to deliver the verdict of the inquisition concerning Captain of the Lumiel Order of Holy Knights Charlotta Fenia.
???: Oh my. So how did it fair?
Cordelia: Sir!
(Hm? Where have I heard that voice before?)
Sevastien: Hahaha. You still haven't realized?
Cordelia: Sevastien! Why are you here!
Sevastien: Well, who were you expecting to see?
Cordelia: The archpraetor...
Cordelia: B-but this can't be...
Sevastien: Oh, can't it? I am Sevastien, archpraetor of the Lumiel Order of Holy Knights.
Sevastien: Hahaha. Even our most esteemed praetor couldn't pick up on my trail.
Cordelia: D-does Captain Charlotta know that you command the praetors?
Sevastien: No. That's top secret information. The praetors are the shadow of the order. It wouldn't be prudent to let anyone know about my position.
Cordelia: Then why show yourself to me?
Sevastien: I've a top secret assignment for you, one that only a knight of your caliber could handle.
Cordelia: A classified mission? What are the details of this mission?
Sevastien: I would like you to be our lifeline with that child.
Cordelia: Me? A bridge between you and Captain Charlotta?
Sevastien: Due to her position, she has many enemies. If we aren't proactive in protecting her, our actions could be too slow to stop any true threats.
Sevastien: I am often on expedition. So I'll need someone I can rely on.
Cordelia: As you decree, Commander, even if it costs me my life.
Cordelia: But about Captain Charlotta's verdict... What is to become of her?
Sevastien: Haha. Do not concern yourself. I'll be talking with someone above me about that.
Cordelia: Above you?
Sevastien: Yes. I'm past my prime, but I can at least act with virtue, and that should give me a bit of sway with the upper echelons.
Cordelia: Hah. Don't play coy with me. I'm sure with your skills in espionage, you'll have no trouble at all convincing them.
Sevastien: Me? Playing coy? Oh, how absurd. Haha.
Sevastien: That child said she wanted to become a captain that everyone in the order could be proud of.
Sevastien: No matter where she goes, she helps those weaker than herself. Has there ever been a better personification of forever pure, forever righteous?
Sevastien: I can't think of a more fitting person to symbolize the justice of the Lumiel Order of Holy Knights.
Sevastien: So, if you find cause for alarm within the order, please, report it to me in detail—your secret mission depends on it.
Cordelia: I swear by this azure sword that I will!
This is Sevastien, acting commander of the praetors. No one was aware of his identity, but here and now, someone else finally shares his secret.
And that person is Cordelia, the last resort of the praetors.
As if prearranging a code, or perhaps ascertaining the others' true intention, the pair lock eyes and grin.
