Strumming for Another

A few days after receiving the melody from the Nine-Realm Harp, Niyon speaks with (Captain). She admits that she's beginning to understand how the harp may have felt using music for war, and why it shared that song with her. If (Captain) ever becomes involved in a large conflict, Niyon resolves to use her music to give the captain strength and protect what is precious to her.

Niyon: ...
Several days have passed since Niyon received the ancient song from the Nine-Realm Harp.
She practices on the now-sleeping harp to make the war melody her own.
Niyon: Oh... (Captain), what are you doing here?
(Captain) explains that Niyon's playing had somehow guided the captain over.
Niyon: I see. Actually, I kind of had a feeling you were headed this way.
Sitting down on the log beside Niyon, (Captain) asks her how practice is going.
Niyon: I'm starting to get the hang of the sound I need and the significance of what I'm playing, though there's still plenty more to tackle.
Niyon: It makes me wonder what the Nine-Realm Harp... what the old musician felt when he created this piece.
Niyon: It must've been hard to keep playing music after everything, but he still wanted to give others courage, if only to relieve himself of his own guilt...
Niyon: But I can't fault someone for hoping that something they once loved can prove helpful to others.
That is why the melody was given to Niyon.
Nine-Realm Harp: Then without further ado, I present to you an ancient melody from thousands of years ago. Let the remnants of courageous battle fill your ears.
Niyon: Are you being serious right now?
Nine-Realm Harp: Haha, simply trying to lighten the mood. This old-timer doesn't often have the opportunity to impart knowledge onto a new generation.
Niyon: I see.
On the surface, the performance was given in high spirits.
Nine-Realm Harp: I suppose it's time for me to return to slumber.
Nine-Realm Harp: Musician... Do you remember the training that you partook with the other Eternals?
Nine-Realm Harp: The concerto that you finished with... The peace that you felt was palpable.
Nine-Realm Harp: It makes me believe that the many months and years I've spent in existence have not been for naught.
Niyon: I think he was finally able to let go of something that had weighed him down for so long...
Niyon: He gave the melody with the warning that another big war might come one day, but I could never lead troops into battle.
Niyon: Still, I don't want to waste what he's given me.
Niyon: If you were ever involved in such a large conflict...
Niyon: I would play that melody alongside you without hesitation.
Niyon: You and every single person important to us would be filled with never-ending courage.
Niyon: It is my greatest wish to protect the people I care about, after all.
Calm and brimming with unyielding determination, Niyon strums her strings.
Her heart beats in tune with the quiet, blazing strength of a powerful song.
