SIEGFRIED - Chapter 2: Disaster - Episode 4

Siegfried continues his tale, explaining that he and Gunther were commended for their contributions to the defeat of Fafnir, and that he was then made captain of the Order of the Black Dragons at Gunther's recommendation. As Siegfried finishes his story, the three knights come across a village being attacked by wyverns.

After some time has passed and things have returned to normal, Gunther and Siegfried join King Josef in the throne room.
King Josef: Gunther, Savior of the Nation. Come forward.
Gunther: Yes, Your Majesty.
King Josef: Siegfried the Dragonslayer. Come forward.
Siegfried: Yes, Your Majesty.
King Josef: We have gathered to honor these two heroes for their service in subjugating the True Dragon Fafnir.
King Josef: I had intended to bestow a great reward upon Gunther and Siegfried both, but they vehemently declined.
King Josef: As such, those funds will be added to the sum awarded to the injured knights and their families.
Gunther: We are grateful for your generous support.
Gunther & Siegfried: Thank you.
King Josef: And Siegfried.
King Josef: I hereby appoint you as my royal guard.
King Josef: Henceforth I would like you to be further involved in the affairs of the kingdom by acting alongside me.
Siegfried: Yes, Your Majesty.
King Josef: Furthermore, in light of Fafnir's defeat, I have an important announcement to make.
At King Josef's proclamation, a hush falls over the crowd.
King Josef: The Royal Knights of Feendrache will henceforth be known as the Order of the Black Dragons.
King Josef: And as such, I would like to nominate Captain Gunther of the Royal Knights as captain of the Order of the Black Dragons.
King Josef: What say you, Gunther? Do you accept?
Gunther: Me... Captain of the Black Dragons...
Gunther falls silent for a moment before finally gathering himself and offering a proposal to the king.
Gunther: Your Majesty... It is with my deepest regret that I decline my appointment as captain of the Order of the Black Dragons.
King Josef: What's this? May I inquire as to your reason?
Gunther: Of course, Your Majesty. You see...
Gunther: I believe Siegfried would be more suited to the position of captain of the Black Dragons.
King Josef: Siegfried, you say...
Gunther: I am not the hero who defeated the True Dragon Fafnir.
Gunther: The true hero is you, Siegfried.
Siegfried: Me?
Gunther: I have faith that no one present that day in the dragon's den would object.
Gunther: Siegfried. If you would be willing, I would like you to accept the position of captain.
Siegfried: Gunther...
King Josef: Hmm... If you would go so far as to say all that, I have no reason to object.
King Josef: Siegfried. Do you wish to accept the position of captain of the Order of the Black Dragons?
Siegfried: Me... Captain...
After a brief pause, Siegfried makes up his mind and responds to the king's inquiry.
Siegfried: Yes, Your Majesty. I humbly accept the position!
Following his emphatic consent, Siegfried accepts the Black Dragon captain's armor and kneels before King Josef.
King Josef: Without further ado, I hereby declare Siegfried the first captain of the Order of the Black Dragons!
The throne room erupts with thunderous applause, in unanimous celebration of Siegfried's instatement as captain.
Siegfried: ...
Gunther: Congratulations, Siegfried.
Siegfried: Thank you, Gunther.
Kriemhild: Gunther! Siegfried! Congratulations to the both of you!
Kriemhild: We'll be waiting in the normal place, so come by later so we can all celebrate together!
Messenger: Please let me join you!
Amidst the deafening cheers, Gunther and Siegfried exchange a smile.
And so Siegfried becomes the first captain of the Order of the Black Dragons.
Siegfried: Heh... Sorry, that went on a bit long. Hope I didn't bore you.
Arthur: Not at all! That was an amazing story!
Mordred: Yeah... It almost seemed like something out of a legend. I'm not sure what to say...
Siegfried: Don't feel like you have to make any sort of clever comment.
Siegfried: If the story left even the smallest impression on you, then that's good enough for me.
Siegfried: What I want you to take from this is that I didn't become a knight captain by my own efforts.
Siegfried: I only became captain thanks to the help of my comrades.
Arthur: Got it! We'll keep that in mind!
Mordred: That was an educational experience!
Arthur: You know, he says that, but Siegfried seems to do everything by himself.
Mordred: Y-yeah... I guess that's because he can handle basically any problem all on his own...
Siegfried: Hmm... Arthur, Mordred. There's a village ahead.
The three knights have come upon a village in the region of Burgundy.
They arrive to find a flight of wyverns attacking the residents.
Wyvern: Groar!
Villager: Eek! Get away from me!
Siegfried: Arthur! Mordred! Help the villagers!
Arthur & Mordred: Yes, sir!

SIEGFRIED - Chapter 2: Disaster - Episode 4: Scene 2

After the wyverns have been defeated, Siegfried senses the presence of a dragon. Arthur and Mordred follow him in pursuit of its source.

Villager: Huff... Huff...
I thought I was a goner. Thank you for saving my life.
Siegfried: We're knights from the royal capital! What in the skies is going on here?
Villager: Dragons showed up out of nowhere and started attacking the village. We can't make heads or tails of it either.
Siegfried: I see. Tell the other villagers to take refuge inside their homes.
Villager: Y-yes, sir! Right away!
Siegfried: Let's go, Arthur. Mordred.
The three knights depart from the village and start walking.
Arthur: Where are we headed?
Siegfried: This way. You'll see if we follow the dragon's presence.
Mordred: You can sense dragons?
Siegfried: Yes, I can... It's like a gut feeling.
Arthur: Wow, guts are way more powerful than I thought!
Mordred: Are you sure you're mortal like the rest of us, Siegfried?
Siegfried: Come on, you two—focus. The dragon is nearby.
Arthur and Mordred follow after Siegfried as he leads them in the direction of the dragon's presence.
