SIEGFRIED - Chapter 2: Disaster - Episode 5
The three knights arrive in a deserted village, and Siegfried heads into a run-down house alone to investigate. There he discovers a secret staircase leading to some sort of underground laboratory. Suddenly he finds himself face to face with Gunther, who has just taken Arthur and Mordred hostage.
As the three knights continue on, they come upon a deserted village.
Arthur: Whoa... This is kinda spooky...
Mordred: Do you think this used to be a village? It doesn't look like anyone's lived here in ages.
Siegfried: This place...
Siegfried begins to wander off, leaving a puzzled Arthur and Mordred behind.
Mordred: Siegfried? Where are you going?
Arthur: Hey, wait up!
Siegfried: ...
Siegfried walks matter-of-factly up to a rundown house.
Siegfried: You two wait outside.
Arthur: Okay.
Arthur: (Is Siegfried acting weird, or is it just me?)
Mordred: (He's definitely strange all right... He seems really distracted, like he's not all here.)
Mordred: Be careful, Siegfried.
Siegfried: Right...
Leaving Arthur and Mordred outside, Siegfried enters the house and begins to investigate.
Siegfried: Hmm... What do we have here...
Noticing an unusual spot in the floor, he looks closer to find a staircase leading to an underground room.
Siegfried: ...
Siegfried takes a deep breath and boldly descends the stairs.
Siegfried: What is this?
Beneath the dilapidated house he discovers what appears to be some sort of laboratory.
Siegfried: ...
Just then, Siegfried senses someone behind him and spins around to confront the intruder.
???: It's been so long, Siegfried.
Siegfried: Gunther! You're alive!
Siegfried is shocked to see the previous captain of the Royal Knights of Feendrache, Gunther, suddenly standing before him.
Gunther: I'm alive? Is that all you have to say? I must admit, I was hoping for a much warmer welcome after all this time.
Arthur: Siegfried! We're sorry...
Mordred: We really screwed up!
Siegfried: Arthur! Mordred!
Gunther: One move and they're dead.
Siegfried: Tch...
Arthur and Mordred have been taken hostage by Gunther, who seems to have changed completely from the kind captain Siegfried used to know.
Heeding Gunther's warning, Siegfried freezes in place.
