SIEGFRIED - Chapter 5: Hopelessness - Episode 4

While Aglovale and (Captain) keep Siegfried busy, Lancelot and Percival realize their friend is likely being controlled by the blood of Fafnir within him. As a result, they are able to use the same technique they employed to seal Fafnir in order to bring Siegfried back to his senses. Deciding not to pursue the fleeing Gunther just yet, they bid farewell to Aglovale and return to Feendrache.

Siegfried: Groooaaar!
Aglovale: How dull. Power is useless without finesse.
Aglovale: (Captain), let's show him how it's done!
  1. Right behind you!

Choose: Right behind you!

Aglovale: Haaah!
  1. Haaah!

Choose: Haaah!

Siegfried: Gurgh!
Aglovale and (Captain) perfectly suppress Siegfried's movements.
Aglovale: Lancelot, Percival, both of you better be ready!
Lancelot & Percival: We are!
By that response, Aglovale and (Captain) hope they've bought enough time.
Whatever the knights frantically thought up needs to be enough to save Siegfried.
Lancelot: Starting with what we've observed, we know Gunther used a magic circle to summon those dragons before.
Percival: Which means there's a high probability that Siegfried is being affected by some sort of magic.
Percival: Moreover, it seemed as though those wyverns were being controlled like puppets.
Lancelot: If that's the case, then do you think Siegfried is being controlled because of his dragon powers?
Percival: There's no guarantee, but I'm almost sure of it.
Percival: He has the blood of the dragon Fafnir coursing through his veins, doesn't he?
Lancelot: Yes. He doesn't talk about it much, but I believe that's the case.
Percival: Removing the magic that's affecting him won't be easy.
Percival: But there is a way to do it if the problem truly is Fafnir's dragon blood.
Lancelot: The dragon sealing technique!
Percival: Exactly. Perhaps Fafnir's power will subside if we perform it.
Lancelot: It's definitely worth trying!
Percival: I'd say it's our best bet.
Lancelot: I kind of remember what we did back when we helped seal Fafnir.
Lancelot: How about you? Think we can do it on the fly?
Percival: Hmph, have you forgotten who you're talking to?
With not a moment to waste, the two of them begin drawing a magic circle beneath their feet.
Gunther: (I know that circle!)
Gunther: You think I'll let youuu!
Aglovale: (Captain)! I can freeze Siegfried, so leave him to me!
Aglovale: Just don't let that other scum get close!
  1. You can count on me!

Choose: You can count on me!

(Captain) leaps forward and stops Gunther right in his tracks.
Gunther: Get out of my waaay!
Aglovale: Lancelot, Percival!
Aglovale: Do it now!
Lancelot & Percival: Haaah!
Lancelot and Percival send their magic flowing into the circle they've drawn.
As they do so, a magic circle appears directly beneath Siegfried.
Siegfried: Guh! Grooar!
A pillar of blinding light engulfs his body, and he roars in pain.
In the next instant, Siegfried collapses to the ground, completely devoid of energy.
Lancelot: Siegfried!
Percival: Are you all right, Siegfried!
Siegfried: Lancelot, Percival...
The strange glint in his eyes is gone.
Gunther: You're kidding me... They reversed the dragon transformation!
Aglovale: Good grief, they actually made it in time.
Aglovale: And here I was about to send him off with his last rites.
Percival: Brother, we are most grateful for your timely assistance.
Lancelot: Words cannot express the extent of our gratitude.

Aglovale: Hmph. I've done nothing worthy of thanks.
Aglovale: This was simply a preventative measure against something that could effect Wales.
Aglovale: (I already owed you all a debt for restoring peace to both myself and my country. This is my way of repaying that debt.)
Aglovale: Now that the entertainment's over, it's time to return home.
    Wales Soldiers: Yes, Your Majesty!
Saying nothing more than that, Aglovale turns nonchalantly around and makes his exit.
    Gunther: You bastards... Urgh!
Gunther tries to beat a hasty retreat as well, having seen the tables turned so quickly.
White Dragon 1: Halt! You're not getting away!
    Lancelot: Don't chase him!
    White Dragon 2: But—
Lancelot: Taking care of everyone's injuries comes first.
Lancelot: We should return to the capital and regroup.
    White Dragons: Yes, sir!
The knights have avoided the worst-case scenario thanks to Aglovale's assistance.
Rather than chase after the fleeing Gunther, they prioritize bringing the unconscious Siegfried back home.
