The Wide Blue Yonder

Sig ventures out in search of a creature that's rumored to be bigger than a mountain. The crew meets her on an island where it should be hiding, only to find that the island is the creature itself.

Sig (Event) not in crew

(Captain) and company arrive at Yudhisthira Island expecting a peaceful vacation, but they are soon embroiled in a crisis that threatens the entire island.
They meet Sig, seventh head of the Druga Pirates, and help her by investigating the occurrences on the island.
As the fierce conflict continues, the crew is approached by some unexpected visitors.
Scallywag 1: Ah, there ye are. We know yer true skyfarers, so we gotta favor to ask of ye.
Vyrn: Who's that? Oh, it's the Druga Pirates. The ones led by Sig.
Scallywag 1: I'll just say it. Will ye let the boss become a part of yer crew?
Lyria: Huh?
They speak passionately about their boss, believing that she is meant for more than the mundane life of an island fisherman.
Scallywag 2: Deep down, the boss really wants to leave the island.
Sig: What nonsense are you two babbling about now?
Scallywag 2: Ack! Boss?
Sig: I knew you lot were hiding something from me. Whose idea was this?
According to the pirates, Sig once told them that she wanted to see what other catches the world has to offer.
Scallywag 2: We're the Druga Pirates! Ain't no one prouder to have ye as a boss than us!
Scallywag 2: That's why we don't wanna hold ye back, Boss.
Sig: Humph, you lot are blunt as ever.
Sig: It's far too early for you to be worrying about your boss...
Sig: But it would be inconsiderate of me to ignore the feelings of my fellow fishermen.
Sig: You're the captain, right? How about it, (Captain)? Will you let me join your crew?
After weighing Sig's affection for her pirates and her curiosity of what lays beyond the horizon, (Captain) welcomes her onto the crew.
Sig: Aye. I'll make myself at home on your airship. Thanks for taking me in!
Vyrn: Hehe! Looks like the Drugas really admire you, Sig!
Sig: Those sea dogs never think before they act. Really now, how did it come to this?
After taking care of the conflict on Yudhisthira, Sig sets sail with the crew on their journey.
One day Sig calls the crew together to tell them that she intends to leave.
Sig: I'm sorry. I've heard about a catch that I just can't pass up. Don't worry. I'll be back!
Lyria: Okay. Just make sure you get back here as soon as possible!
Vyrn: It's not like we can force you to stay! I can't wait to hear about what you get into!
Having said her farewells, Sig leaves the ship with a smile.
Some time later the crew receive a letter from Sig, asking them to meet her on an island.
Lyria: Wow. There's nothing on this island at all!
Vyrn: Do you think it's deserted? There are no signs of animals here either—
Lyria: Eek! The ground is shaking!
Vyrn: Hm... I got a weird feelin' about this island. There's no way anyone would live here.
Sig: Aye, there's nary a soul to be found on this rock.
Lyria: Gasp! Sig! It's been a long time!
Sig: Hahaha! Have you all been faring well?
Vyrn: You betcha! How 'bout you, Sig? You went off chasin' that catch of yours, right?
Sig: Aye, I've been following leads here and there. I think I'm finally right on its tail.
Lyria: Ooh! What does that tail belong to? I want to see it!
Sig: Haha. Well, I haven't caught it yet, remember? It's a bit rough with just one person.
Vyrn: Oh. I see where this is going...
Sig: Mm-hm. The reason I called you out here is I need your help in landing this thing!
Lyria: You can count on us! We'll do what we can!
Vyrn: I knew it... But why this island? Where are the rivers? Where's the sea?
Sig: I'll start from the beginning. This fish is bigger than anything I've ever come across.
Sig: I don't know who named it, but it's called Fessie.
Sig: If the stories are true, then it's bigger than a mountain and flies through the skies like Albacore.
Lyria: What! A fish bigger than a mountain?
Sig: I'm sure it's an exaggeration. But stories have been popping up about the beast all over the skies.
Sig: I investigated the rumors and worked out where it was heading, which turned out to be this island.
Vyrn: Are you serious? Do you really think we can catch a fish that big?
Sig: Hahaha! Of course! I have faith in us!
Sig: You're the crew that took down Albacore, and I'm the head of the Drugas. There's nothing we can't catch!
Lyria: Heehee, you're right! This'll be easy!
Vyrn: Hmm... I guess we have fought our fair share of fish!
Sig: That's the spirit! Now let's go find out where this beast is hiding. It's gotta be somewhere on this—
Lyria: Eep! Another earthquake!
Vyrn: What's going on here? Something smells fishy...
Sig: Yes, something's not quite right. It might be connected to the air currents...
Sig: Hm? What's that?
Lyria: What's wrong?
Sig: Over there. Look at the ground. Doesn't it look unnaturally dug up?
Vyrn: Yeah, it's pretty gouged out. Kinda like something with fangs took a bite out of the ground.
Sig: Fangs?
Lyria: Wha-wha-whah! Another one!
Sig: It couldn't be!
Sig: Oh no! Everyone, back to the ship!
Vyrn: Huh? What's with you all of a sudden?
Vyrn: Whoa! That one was the biggest one so far!
Sig: The gap between each tremor is getting shorter. Where did you moor the airship?
Lyria: Over there! But what—
Sig: No time to explain! Just hurry!
The ground continues to shake as they board the Grandcypher.
At Sig's command they make an emergency liftoff. The crew stands on the deck and looks out at the deserted island.
???: Bloooargh!
A mighty roar erupts from the floating mass they thought was an island before sinking beneath the clouds.
Lyria: Yipes! Did you see that?
Vyrn: That was crazy... But what was that?
Sig: I should've known. That whole island was Fessie itself.
Lyria: Huh? I know you said it was big, but...
Vyrn: You gotta be kidding me. No animal can get that big!
Sig: ...
Lyria: I'm getting scared just thinking about it. It's not even a primal beast.
Vyrn: You said it. Yeesh...
Sig: Heh... Hahaha...
Sig: Hahahaha! Well, looks like it got me good!
Lyria: Sig?
Sig: Sorry, sorry. I was just thinking how vast this sky really is!
Sig: I think the gouged out ground we saw earlier was a bite wound from Albacore.
Vyrn: Seriously?
Sig: The teeth marks match. Albacore must be its natural enemy.
Sig: Fessie didn't have to hide anymore after we took out its top rival.
Sig: Makes sense once you think about it, doesn't it?
Lyria: Well, if you put it that way...
Sig: Heh heh. 'Tis regrettable, but I doubt I'd be able to catch it right now.
Sig: Luckily for me there are plenty of fish in the sea!
Vyrn: Um, did you see the size of that beast? How can you be so happy right now?
Sig: Because I'm a fisherman! I love the challenge of unknown prey!
Sig: I'm trembling with excitement. Leaving Yudhisthira was the best choice I've ever made!
Lyria: Ahaha! You would say that, Sig.
Vyrn: As plucky as ever.
Sig: Now then, hard to starboard! We have to travel the world! I can't wait to see what we'll find out there!
Sig rejoins the crew on their grand journey.
The skies are full of mysteries. Sig is filled with renewed enthusiasm as she seeks out strange new catches.
