Start of a Sparkling Summer

Dan follows the crew on their trip to Auguste to take care of some foundry business. When Silva is frolicking with everyone on the beach, he is greatly relieved to see her taking reprieve from being on constant alert all the time.

(Captain)'s crew is on its way to the resort isles of Auguste for some summer shenanigans.
The airship is also carrying a guest who had asked (Captain) for a favor.
Uncle Dan: Sigh...
Despite the allure of a summer getaway, the passenger looks about as excited as a cat awaiting a bath. His name is Dan, and he's in charge of the alloy foundry.
Cucouroux: ...
Cucouroux: Geez...
Dan's nieces, Cucouroux and Camieux, look at their sullen uncle with concern.
Vyrn: Aw c'mon. Get it together, Dan! We're almost in Auguste!
Uncle Dan: Unh... Don't you know what that means? All that delicious local food and drink...
Uncle Dan: I dunno if I've got the willpower to do my job without giving in to temptation.
Camieux: No! You're not quitting before we even get there! Everyone at the foundry will be mad if you go back now!
Uncle Dan: Blah... Usually the veteran craftsmen watch my back, but this time I'm on my own.
Cucouroux: That's because they're the ones who gave you this job! It means they believe in you!
Cucouroux: And you're gonna own that responsibility and do it right. Have a little confidence in yourself, Uncle Dan.
Uncle Dan: Sigh... Yeah, guess I wouldn't wanna give 'em any trouble.
Silva: I actually like that you're not overconfident. On the flip side, it doesn't help to be too hard on yourself.
Lyria: Uh-huh! When we came to pick you up, didn't you say you were looking forward to learning smithing techniques from Auguste?
Lyria: What was it again? Something about protecting metals from rusting, right?
Uncle Dan: Yep. Since way back, Auguste has been a research hub for metallurgists looking to combat the effects of rust.
Silva: Metals in Auguste are more susceptible to rust due to the sea salt levels in the air.
Lyria: Oh, that makes sense!
Cucouroux: When it comes to anti-rust treatment, no one in Phantagrande can match the metallurgists of Auguste!
Uncle Dan: Thing is, simply starting out with rust-resistant metal goes a long way.
Uncle Dan: That's why the alloy foundry partnered with an interested party to see if such a material could be cost-effectively produced.
Cucouroux: No matter how great the base material is, it doesn't matter if no one can afford it.
Uncle Dan: Exactly. Plus it's gotta be an all-purpose metal that even people with no affinity for magic can use.
Camieux: A metal infused with magic will lose its effectiveness after it's been used for a long time anyway. Eventually the magic runs out.
Cucouroux: One solution is to treat the metal to hold magic for a longer period of time. But that adds complexity to the material's structure and makes it more brittle.
What began as an explanation to inform the crew about Dan's work has become a three-person technical roundtable.
Silva: ...
Lyria: All this talk seems to be cheering up Dan!
Tweyen is a crew member

Tweyen: Hehe, is that a smile I see on your lips too, Silva?
Silva: Yes, I'm so relieved. The sight of those three happily chatting away is enough for me.
Silva: This type of work is their life's calling.
Tweyen is a crew member

Tweyen: Mm-hm. Their eyes light up with excitement. You can tell they enjoy it.
Speaking with his nieces helps to alleviate the pressure on Dan, and soon the Grandcypher arrives in Auguste.
Tweyen not in crew

Tweyen: Silva! (Captain)! I missed you and everyone else in the crew.
As the airship pulls into port, the crew is greeted by Tweyen, legendary archer of the Eternals. She's come to spend the summer with them.
Silva: You beat us here, Tweyen! It's good to see you again too.
Uncle Dan: Oh, were we supposed to get here first? 'Fraid I made the crew take a detour to come get me.
Silva: Ah, I forgot about that. Sorry to keep you waiting, Tweyen.
Tweyen: Haha, it's no problem. I found a wonderful little shop while I was wandering around. I can take you there later if you'd like.
Cucouroux: All right! If Tweyen's giving it a thumbs up, it's gotta be awesome!
Camieux: Aye! I can't wait to go!
Silva: Well, before we hit the beach or do any shopping we should drop our luggage off at the beach house.
Cucouroux: It's okay to wear our bathing suits in town, right? If so, I want to get changed!
Lyria: Me too! Hm, looks like the beach house is this way!
Lyria takes the lead, and the crew merrily follow her to the beach house.
Cucouroux: Ta-da! Presenting Ms. Cucouroux in her fantabulous new swimsuit!
Uncle Dan: Ooh! You girls plus Lyria and (Captain) have got the summer style down pat.
Cucouroux: We sure do! But now for the moment you've all been waiting for!
Cucouroux: Feast your eyes on a lovely vision of summer—our beloved big sister, Silva!
Camieux: Whoo-hoo!
Silva: Um, could you maybe tone it down, Cucouroux? You're embarrassing me...
Tweyen: Haha, I understand why she's so excited though. That outfit looks really good on you.
Gran is the Main Character

Silva: Is that your honest opinion? I thought it might be too cutesy for my taste...
  1. That swimsuit screams "Silva."
  2. Never have I seen such beauty!

Djeeta is the Main Character

Silva: Is that your honest opinion? I thought it might be too cutesy for my taste...
  1. No way! You're a stunner!
  2. But you're always cute!

Choose: No way! You're a stunner!

Cucouroux: Definitely! Geez, why is my big sis so elegant?
Silva: Gasp! Cucouroux! Where did that come from?
Silva is taken aback by Cucouroux's sudden hug. The younger girl buries her head in her big sister's bosom.
Cucouroux: Grr, you're so huggable. It's not fair!
Tweyen: Oh, don't say that, Cucouroux. You're just as stunning but in a slightly smaller package.
Silva: Tweyen's right. I think being a little shorter adds to your cuteness factor.
Cucouroux: Booo! I'm being bullied by gorgeous gals! Do something, (Captain)!
This time Cucouroux flies into (Captain)'s arms, and the captain has to comfort the girl.

Choose: But you're always cute!

Tweyen: Ahaha! Yes, she sure is! Isn't that nice, Silva?
Silva: I wish you two wouldn't tease me like that.
Silva: I know for a fact I'm not the kind of woman who exudes cuteness or charm.
Tweyen: Gosh, would you quit being so modest? (Captain) and I wouldn't lie to you.
Tweyen: Right, (Captain)?
(Captain) nods with gusto.

Choose: That swimsuit screams "Silva."

Lyria: Uh-huh! It's perfect!
Lyria: The way it matches your hair color gives it a nice—um, what's the word...? Accentuation? Well, what I mean is you look pretty!
Silva: Really?
Lyria: Yes, really!
Silva: I see... It's not like you two would flatter me just for my sake.
Silva: Thanks for the compliments. Haha, I'm glad Cucouroux was my shopping buddy.

Choose: Never have I seen such beauty!

(Captain) takes both of Silva's hands and stares straight into her eyes.
Silva: ...!
Silva: Wh-what are you doing, (Captain)! You shouldn't tease adults!
Cucouroux: Says the woman whose face is turning beet red.
Silva: What!
Silva reflexively tries to cover her face when she realizes her hands are still being held by (Captain).
Silva: Both of you, please! Don't toy with me...
Camieux: I agree with (Captain) though! Silva is super pretty!
Silva: Not you too, Camieux...

Uncle Dan: Good for you, Silva.
Silva: Huh?
Uncle Dan: Er... It's not my place to speak, but I want you to know I'm happy for you.
Uncle Dan: You could never let your guard down for a second when you were flying solo as a merc.
Silva: Yeah...
Uncle Dan: But ever since you joined (Captain)'s crew, you made lots of friends and got the chance to smile again.
Uncle Dan: Just goes to show you can still be the same badass sniper and a beloved crew member.
Silva: Dan...
Silva: I'm sorry I made you worry all this time.
Uncle Dan: Oh, girl, that's not what I'm saying! 'Sides, I'm the one who's always making y'all worry, aren't I?
Uncle Dan: Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm glad you found a place where you belong.
Silva: Mm, so I have...
Uncle Dan: All right, enough of this mushy stuff! Now that this fashion show is over, I'm off to work!
Silva: Oh, that's right. You have an appointment with the chamber of commerce.
Camieux: But once you're done with work you can spend the rest of the time relaxing in Auguste, right?
Uncle Dan: Yep. I haven't taken a day off in forever, so my foundry colleagues practically ordered me to take a vacation.
Cucouroux: Okay! Come splash around with us in the sea when you get the chance!
Uncle Dan: Eh, I think watching from the beach is more up my alley. Anyway, I'll let you know after my work is done.
Silva: Have a good day! Try not to strain yourself.
Uncle Dan: Thanks. See you kids later.
The crew wave goodbye to Dan, and then they head down to the shore.
Cucouroux: What's the matter, Cammy? Still scared of the waves? You can hold my hand if you want.
Camieux: Ehehe, I'm not scared of the waves anymore!
Camieux: B-but can I still hold your hand just in case?
Cucouroux: Of course! Here!
Silva: I remember Camieux crying on the shore when she was little, but now look at her. She's grown up.
Tweyen: Oh? You've all been to Auguste before?
Silva: Yeah, back when I was staying with the gunsmiths they took us to the beach for a vacation.
Lyria: I heard about that! Camieux thought the sea went on forever!
Camieux: Aye, what an embarrassing story... I never let go of Cucouroux's hand...
Camieux: She didn't get to go into the water at all because of me. I still feel bad about it.
Cucouroux: What kinda attitude is that, Cammy? I'm your big sister, and big sisters always look out for their siblings!
Cucouroux: Here's a neat idea. Why don't you make it up to me by playing all day with your big sis!
Camieux: Whaaa!
Cucouroux pulls the young girl with her, and the two go splashing into the gentle waves.
Cucouroux: Cannonball!
Camieux: Ahaha! Double cannonball!
Lyria: Hey, they went in without us! Come on, (Captain), let's not get left behind!
(Captain) and Lyria hold hands and run into the shallows after the two girls.
Silva: Haha...
Tweyen: ...
Silva: Is everything all right, Tweyen? I noticed you've been staring off into space. Do you see something—
Tweyen: Eh? No, I wasn't scanning for monsters or anything... I just...
Tweyen: I'm jealous of those two. You sisters must have lots of wonderful memories together.
Silva: Tweyen...
Silva: Pfft...
Tweyen: What's so funny!
Silva: I mean, what's there to be jealous about?
Silva: We have all the time in the world to make our own memories, right?
Tweyen: ...!
Silva: Me, Cucouroux, Camieux, Lyria, Vyrn, (Captain)... We're all here, you know?
Silva: Instead of feeling sorry for yourself, why not spend it having fun? And this beach is the perfect place to start.
Tweyen: Mm.
Cucouroux: Sis! Tweyen! Come join us!
Tweyen: We're coming!
Silva: Hey! Don't go out into the deep areas without warming up!
Silva: We only get one summer vacation a year. Let's not let it go to waste!
The Three: Okay!
The swimmers take Silva's warning seriously and thoroughly stretch before going back into the water.
Their first day of vacation is blessed with clear skies and sparkling waters.
