Titanic Yeager - Chapter 3: The Walled Country - Episode 1
(Captain) asks to use the vertical maneuvering gear. Although Armin is against the idea, Eren decides to teach the crew anyway. Eren laughs at how terribly (Captain) uses the gear, while Mikasa and Armin remind him that he was the exact same way.
The crew members find that they have too much time on their hands from having nothing to do. (Captain) suddenly blurts out something in the middle of a conversation.
Choose: I wanna try the vertical maneuvering gear.
Armin is startled by the request.
Armin: Sorry, but I've already explained it to you before. You can't go outside right now.
Armin: And using the vertical maneuvering gear would be exactly like painting a target on your back.
Vyrn: Just when I was thinking we'd finally be able to leave... Are we really stuck here?
Gran is the Main Character
Lyria: We can't cause trouble, Vyrn. I really wanted to see him fly though...
Djeeta is the Main Character

Someone's Voice: Shouldn't be a problem if it's just the vertical maneuvering gear.
Everyone swivels their heads toward the voice.
They see Eren leaning against a wall as if he'd been there all along.
Eren: I'm back.
Mikasa: Eren! Are you okay? They didn't do anything to you, did they?
Eren: No, I'm fine. Just had a nice stay in a jail cell. Nothing else.
Armin: How did you get out? Did the higher-ups come to their senses?
Eren: Honestly I don't really know, but at least we can all be back together again...
Mikasa: That's great, Eren...
Eren: Now enough about me. What about these guys?
Lyria: Huh?
Vyrn: You mean us?
Eren: You want to try vertical maneuvering, right? I'll show you how it's done.
Lyria: Um, are you sure it's okay?
Vyrn: Aren't we gonna get you in trouble if we go into town?
Eren: Then we just won't fly around town. Is that good enough, Armin?
Armin: Well... We'll have a big problem on our hands if anything happens...

Eren: Nothing's going to happen as long as we're there to stop it. Besides, they're not planning on running away, right?
Choose: Of course we won't run.
Lyria: We don't need to run away since you've all been so nice to us.
Eren: Then let's get down to business.

Eren: Sounds like you do have delusions of escape on your mind.
Eren: You really shouldn't be kidding around right now.

Armin and the others have no choice but to go along with Eren's unwavering decision.
(Captain) and the crew leave their lodgings and arrive at a small forest outside the walls.
Mikasa: Why is Annie here too?
Annie: ...
Armin: Well, she helped us slip past the MPB.
Mikasa: ...
Eren: Forget about it. I'm going to start the lesson now!
The soldiers ready their own gear to teach by example.
Eren: Watch closely, (Captain). You have to find the balance in your hips, like this...
Mikasa: No, (Captain). Fire the anchors and make sure they get a good hold.
Armin: Just a bit more, (Captain)! Match the timing of the trigger pull! There's a gas recoil after you fire!

Eren and (Captain) fly deeper into the forest.
Mikasa lets out a loud sigh and, with a blast of gas from her gear, takes off after them.
Annie: Bunch of noisy brats, aren't they? I wish I could be that optimistic.
Armin: Yeah, but I see it differently.
Annie: Hm?
Armin: A lot of people died protecting him, and a lot more will probably die in the future.
Armin: He's the one that feels the most pain, but he can't let it show or else it'll worry others.
Armin: That's why he's acting the way he is.
Annie: Hmm... Is that so...
Armin: Huh?
Annie: What?
Armin: Is something wrong with your gear?
Annie: Why are you asking about that?
Armin: Because the maneuvering gear you were using is pretty old, but that one is new...
Annie: Is there a point you're trying to make?
Armin: You don't have to hide it.
Annie: Hide what?
Armin: I heard from Lyria that your old gear was destroyed when you saved them from the Titans.
Annie: ...!
Armin: Of course the new one is going to have kinks that you'll have to get used to. Just be careful out there.
