Engaging monster with 10k estimate in damage, solo mode?

Apparently, as you rack up the difficulty in solo mode, there's going to be monsters that might hit around 3k as normal hit. I hadn't gotten around circumventing that obstacle, but the charges/skills that do an estimate of 10k is quite a whopper! I hadn't gotten maxed up ranking characters at the moment. I suppose that a (or even several) nuking character or lethal hit might work, however, that's in a differently situation, particularly for the 1 million+ health.

For now, I just want some general tips when facing off charges/skills that deal a 10k estimate. I can't always predict it. Figures that if there is really a way to recuperate from the damage or even protect against it. Even then, the cool-down count would leave the party in the open. I suspect that solos might require a lot of reviving items. This is where the real monetary investment payout might come in. Then again, I also see a lot of high ranking players in raid modes, trying to get as much honors as possible.

General advice / things to work toward:

  • fight on the dominant element to take 25% less damage
  • debuff enemies' attack (Dark Fencer's  Miserable MistInflict 25% ATK DownATK is lowered
    Strength: 25%Base Accuracy: 80%Duration: 180 secondsStacking: Dual
    and 25% DEF DownDEF is lowered

    on all foes.

  • if needed, use skills like Dark Fencer's  Gravity WaveInflict GravitySpecial attack max charge turn is extended

    to buy time for defensive and healing cooldowns
  • use 3★ carbuncle summons to give yourself a 50% elemental damage cut
    • can be combined with other damage cut skills to reach 100% (i.e. you take 0 damage), such as the Knight class line's skills,  PhalanxAll parties gain 50% DMG CutTaking 50% less DMG
      Duration: 1 turn Damage Cut reducing damage taken for all elements.
      Warning! Does not work for Plain Damage!

  • load up your weapon grids with the goal of maximizing your damage output and check the wiki or videos for any info on boss charge attacks and triggers
    • for battle info reported on the wiki, note any N and OD indicators next to charge attack names to get an idea of what attacks may be used when the boss is in or out of Overdrive

By using skills with Gravity and Delay, and by doing more damage, you have better ability to control when charge attacks and triggers go off.
