Do you like the new welcome template? I sincerely hope that it is good and friendly enough to user here!

It is certainly useless. And I would definitely not recommend seeking help on talk pages as new posts / comments can go easily unnoticed for a long time. Sending people to wiki discord is a way better option.
Okay! But as far as I'm concerned, some people don't know what discord is.
And to me sending that to everyone who made any kind of edit no matter what it was seems like a spam.
There's literally link to it at the top of the page, if they click it, they'll learn what it is. Don't assume people are idiots.
Well, it isn't. Wikipedia welcomes users. Appropedia, conservapedia, Uncyclopedia all welcomes new users.
Such message is generally automatic though, like on fandom wiki. I don't remember such thing being made here or any of the editors being appointed to greet new contributors. You have't even asked the staff if your template can look like that, spammed on people's comments in all cases or be created in the first place.
Yes I did!
And by staff I don't mean Dashi.
What about a deletion template?
Why won't you come to our discord and ask there?
There's literally a channel called wiki discussion in there.
I don't have an account. It seems useless!
I don't like to use discord. I preferably like to use via email.
Fast communication with people is useless? Not all editors even care about their own profiles so you can't reach everyone thru wiki alone. How are you expecting to get anything done like that?
Dunno! I have never used Discord.
It's very easy to make an account. You don't even have to install the app since it also works in browser if you're on pc.
Okay! Atm, I am using a public pc at a library. I have a laptop at my residence place.
I cannot use it. It is blocked according to the library policies.
It can wait for until you're home.
Anyway, to summarize:
Template you wanted to create wasn't for personal purposes so you should get approval from wiki admins (like from petri or adlai). And that is before you even started using it. They aren't always online which means that you might have to wait few hours. In that time you shouldn't have had used it at all unless you wanted to post it on your own profile / sandbox / etc as they belong to your "private space".
Not everyone wants to have a welcome message, again, if something like this is even needed should be discussed with the staff. Such thing seemingly didn't exist here before and I think that it's great without it.
If you want to ask for such stuff, don't post it on normal contributor's talk pages. Chances you'll get anywhere like that are slim since they're not the people you should have asked. Dashi is not an admin, neither am I.
Please use wiki discussion instead of sending messages under my userpage. I outright thought this was spam from my boyfriend. That's how misplaced this is. And about the Welcome page, that is something you should discuss with the actual leadership administration, not me. Consider me a moderator, if you will.
Hello, and welcome to Granblue Fantasy Wiki! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay.
Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, ask me on my talk page, or ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Again, welcome!
