Overview[edit]

enable him to do damage higher than the native damage cap, and his inherent enmity and his zero cooldown method to enable that enmity let him abuse that to the fullest. His moveset is deceiving at first glance; he almost appear to be some sort of counter machine. In fact, Ayer will probably never want to be countering, as he wants to be using his Charge Attack ASAP to maximize his damage output. Ayer is instead an auto-attacking machine with an absurd damage output with or without buffs, with very little skill presses needed.

He is the definition of a glass cannon, however, and needs some sort of support in higher level content. It's not too much of a worry, however, as no matter how many things want to end him as quick as possible, Ayer can probably end them quicker.

How to Play[edit]

Synergy[edit]

Unlike most enmity-focused attackers, such as Threo or Beatrix (Themed), Ayer's ability to enable his enmity at any time allows him to work with support characters without being hindered by their healing. A very strong option for this is De La Fille (Earth), who allows Ayer to stay at 1 HP for long periods of time thanks to her strong shields. Other notable support characters are Yggdrasil and Cagliostro, who give strong defense buffs, or Yaia, who can give Ayer an extremely strong buff turn one during Strike Time. Characters like Mahira or Korwa, who have minimal or no healing, also work well. Due to her ability to completely nullify damage for one turn, Alexiel can also be extremely useful.

For certain raids, however, basic defense buffs cannot keep Ayer alive. For situations like those, the obvious solution would be Sara, who can defend Ayer with her massive defense boosts and Subsitute. She also has a fist proficiency, in case you wish to use an Ultima Claw to boost her and Ayer's stats.

Priorities[edit]

Prioritise Critical first, followed by Earth ATK, followed by DA. As Ayer needs to survive at low HP, it is recommended to take a point in each of the DEF nodes.
