Happy Birthday Cutscenes

Happy birthday.
Today's an important day. Yoou're another year older! One step closer to adulthood.
As an all-knowing witch, allow me to give you my prediction of your future.
You'll continue to live happily... I'll be right there by your side, after all.
Hmm? How old will I be this year?
Heeheehee... A witch never reveals her true age. Ask me again, and I'll be very angry.

2

Happy birthday. Here we are again on this special day.
Do you remember my prediction from last year? That if you stay by my side, you'll be blessed with good fortune?
Well, I was right, wasn't I? Hehehe. My prediction for this year is more of the same. I'm looking forward to it.

3

Happy birthday, (Captain). Can you believe it's already been a whole year?
I just hope that my prediction from last year came true for you.
But to be perfectly honest, I think I was the one who was happy to be by your side.
Hee-hee. You've really spoiled this all-knowing witch, haven't you? I can't even imagine leaving you anymore.
It really is a miracle I was able to meet you in this life.
I may be silly and incompetent at times, but I look forward to staying in your care, (Captain).

4

Happy birthday! So? Did you have a good year?
It's been wonderful for me, standing by your side.
As long as we're together, I'm sure next year will be just as fulfilling.
I hope it will be for you too...
But make sure you tell me if something's troubling you, okay?
Don't forget, I'm quite the talented witch... With my magic, I can easily obliterate any obstacle blocking your path.

1

Interested in getting your fortune told after we ring in the new year?
Something of a step down for someone like me who knows the future...
But placing your future in the hands of a fortune could prove interesting, don't you think?

2

Happy New Year, (Captain).
I don't have any interest in praying for good health or good fortune when a new year rolls around.
But I completely understand why people would do so.
What do I pray for then? Hehe, why, to continue being by your side of course.

3

Look, the sun's coming up.
Hehe... Such a beautiful sunrise. Perhaps it's because I'm watching it with you?
I hope a magical year awaits us, but I have no doubt it will be wonderful as long as I'm with you.
Hehe... I hope you feel the same way.

4

Happy New Year, (Captain). Here's to another year on our journey.
Have you thought about your resolution yet?
How about me? Well...
I believe that fate is determined, so I've never made a resolution before.
But I get the feeling that making a goal in this moment would be worth it.
Oh, I don't mean something silly like working on myself. I was just thinking that I could vow to stay with you, like we are now.
And with that vow comes a promise that I'll always protect you with my magic.

Valentine's Day Cutscenes

1

Valentine's is such a bother. Every year, I'm pestered by girls who want me to say a few magic words and bring love into their lives.
Huh? Does it work? Heheh... Are you asking for a test run, (Captain)?

2

Making this chocolate was quite the toil and trouble. Won't you have a bite?
Hehe... Don't worry. Even though I know all about love magic and aphrodisiacs...
Pure, innocent me would never use them on you. But in my imagination, anything goes...

3

Happy Valentine's Day, (Captain).
I made these chocolates just for you... Will you take them?
They were made with my love especially for today—no magic, of course. Be sure to savor the flavor.
Hehe... It's all kind of silly, don't you think?
But you know, (Captain)... Ever since meeting you, I've been able to enjoy so many things I never enjoyed before.
Thank you... for everything.

Oh? This is for me? I see... Thank you. This makes me quite happy.
Heheheh... I've gotten so many presents before, but for some reason this one makes me happiest of all.

2

I'll be honest. I was kind of waiting for you. I'm glad it wasn't in vain.
Now that I think about it, are you saying I can have your heart? Once I take it, it can't be returned, you know.
Hahaha... That look on your face is priceless. I'm just joking. For now...

3

Now you've done it... I don't think there's anything in the skies that could show you how happy you've made me.
The more time I spend with you, (Captain), the more I relish our time together... Puzzling, is it not?
Hehe... I look forward to spending even more time with you, (Captain).

Hello there. Did you know Halloween is a festival where the dead return? It's only on this day when the living and the dead can have fun together. See? Look at that one, right next to you...

2

On Halloween there are little witches all over.
It's so cute how they all smell like candy. Aren't you going to dress up today?
Oh, me? I'll just be watching everyone else have fun.
Heh heh heh... I wouldn't want to scare the little kids.

3

(Captain), do you have a costume ready? Since today is Halloween, after all.
I was imagining how lovely you would look in a wizard costume... Perhaps we could go out tonight as an ensemble together.
People would see the couple of us as two of a kind—doesn't that sound simply magical?

4

Since it's Halloween, you think I should dress up as something besides a witch?
Easy for you to say... I really am a genuine witch. I can't becomes anything else!
But... you have a point.
I guess if you're really set on it, I could change into another outfit.
So what is it you'd like me to wear?
Say the word, (Captain). Your wish is my command.

Happy Holidays Cutscenes

1

Tonight's a very special night... I don't mind celebrating with the rest of the crew...
But doesn't going to a quiet place for two sound so much more romantic?

2

The holiday's upon us, (Captain).
Wouldn't it be nice to enjoy this romantic night between the two of us?
My, my, what are you getting all flustered for? You're bound to me by fate after all...

3

There's nothing more romantic than snow on a winter's night.
Hehe. That isn't my magic, I promise... I've learned that sometimes truly magical things can't be forced.
On precious nights like these, how and who you spend it with is important.
Being able to spend time like this with a special someone such as yourself just makes it even more precious.
Now then, just how shall we spend it together... What are you in the mood for?

4

Even though we're having such a lovely party, would you like to sneak out with me?
Hehe. Just kidding.
If I'd asked you to spend this entire festive night with me, I bet you would have.
Let's stare at the night sky together just a little longer and then head back inside.
That sounds good enough to you?
For now, yes. But I'm sure we'll be able to share many more nights like this.
And that's not just a prediction—we'll definitely see them together.

The Witch's Dream

The mysterious witch Magisa attempted to make off with Lyria. When our heroes stopped her and asked her to explain herself, she told them that she had been looking for Lyria so she could fulfill her dream of seeing the Island of the Astrals again. Seeing as they shared the same goal, Magisa and our heroes decided to journey together.

During their travels, (Captain) and company came to a small town.
Finished with their errands, the party were about to get back on the airship when someone called out to them.
???: Excuse me... You there, girl. Girl with the blue hair... Yes, you.
Lyria: Umm... M-Me?
???: Yes, you... Oh, I’ve finally found you. I’ve been looking for you for a long time, you know.
Lyria: Huh? You’ve been looking for me...? For a long time...?
Vyrn: Whoa there, chick... You gotta be kidding me... You know Lyria?!
???: “Chick?" That’s a rather rude way to refer to someone... Is “pretty lady” too much to ask? I suppose it is...
Magisa: Hmm. Well then, please call me Magisa.
Magisa: As I was saying... I’ve been searching for you for a long time. But at last, I’ve found you!
Magisa: Now then, you’re coming with me. Don’t worry. You will not be harmed.
Lyria: What?! H-Hold on just a second, please!
Vyrn: Yeah, bucko! Who do you think you are, giving her orders like that?! Are you with the Empire?!
Magisa: The Empire? Oh, Erste Empire, you mean? I have no interest in such things...
Magisa: Teehee... You’re quite chivalrous, aren’t you? You’ve got a good look in your eye... Are you Miss Blue-Hair’s bodyguard, perhaps?
Vyrn: (Captain) is the captain of our order!
Lyria: That’s right! You won’t find a more reliable skyfarer in all the Skydom!
Lyria: And besides... There’s more to it than that... We’re, how do I put it... Inseparable, I guess...
Magisa: Oh...? Don’t tell me... Whaaat?! Really? Is that so? Heehee...
Lyria: Oh, uhh... I really don’t mean it in a weird way... Wh-Why are you smiling at me like that?!
Magisa: Smiling? Who, me? Don’t be silly. Hm... Well, this is a problem...
Hooligan: Hey there, pretty lady! What seems to be the problem?
Vyrn: Ugh... Who the hell is this guy...?
Hooligan: What’s this? Lizard hunting, are ya?
Hooligan: More importantly! Can I buy you a cup of coffee? I’ve got some time to spare!
Magisa: Oh my. You wish to... spend time with me?
Magisa: I see. Well... I’ve got a friend with me right now. Would it be all right if I brought her along?
Hooligan: Of course! If she’s a knockout like you, then by all means!
Magisa: Really? A knockout, huh... Well, that’s apt, isn’t it, Moo Moo?
Magisa: I, too, have a lot of free time on my hands. Now then, let’s spend some quality time together.
Hooligan: Wh... what the hell is that thing?!
Magisa: This is my dear friend. Don’t worry, she’s not as scary as she looks. Although she does have a sliiiight... temper.
Hooligan: G-Gimme a break! To hell with this! Damn it... You damn witch!
Magisa: Heehee... Awww, I got rejected again.
Magisa: Well... Who cares about that loser?
Magisa: Anyway, this girl is ABSOLUTELY necessary for the sake of achieving my goal...
(Captain) told her everything that had happened on the journey so far, starting from meeting Lyria.
Magisa: I see... That’s quite the story.
Vyrn: So? Care to explain why you think Lyria is so “necessary”?
Magisa: Lyria is... the key. You know that, don’t you, (Captain)? You know what Lyria is.
Magisa: You see... I had a dream. One night I dreamed of another world, and ever since, I’ve desperately yearned for that world.
Magisa: I can remember it even now. It’s all so clear, even the smells... And so I searched for the world from my dream.
Lyria: Don’t tell me... The world you saw in your dream... Could it be...?
Magisa: Teehee... You see, I’m a naturally gifted witch, so I’ve had my share of special dreams...
Magisa: But that world was in neither the past nor the future...
Magisa: When I finally realized, I was in shock, as you might imagine. I couldn’t believe it was the Island of the Astrals.
Vyrn: Wha...?!
Magisa: So, there you have it. I require Lyria. Now then, don’t bother telling me to give up, okay?
Magisa: I’ve got a bit of a single-track mind. And right now, my mind is made up. No matter what you throw at me, I promise you, I won’t yield to you.
Magisa: Now then... Let’s hear your answer. Try not to disappoint me.
  1. Why don’t we all go together?
  2. I won’t let you have Lyria

Choose: Why don’t we all go together?
Magisa: Together...? You would have me join your group, (Captain)?
Vyrn: Yeah! We’re headed to the same place, so why not travel together?

Choose: I won’t let you have Lyria
Lyria: Oh my gosh, oh my gosh...!
Magisa: You’re so very chivalrous... How enchanting. But it looks like we won’t be able to settle this with words.
Vyrn: H-Hold up! If you want to be with her so bad, then why don’t you just come with us?!
Continue 1
Magisa: Oh, I see... Teehee! You’re right. That’s an interesting suggestion... It’s a good idea.
Magisa: In that case, I suppose I will be coming along with you and your friends on your little journey, (Captain).
Magisa: You seem quite reliable, so don’t make me regret this, okay, (Captain)?
(Captain) had made a new friend in the most unlikely of places. Their goals were the same.
With the unfulfilled land in their sights, (Captain) and company crossed the sky.

The Unseeable Future

Magisa wonders what souvenir for a friend during their visit to a small village. Vyrn gets impatient at the long shopping session, but Magisa says that staying a little while longer is better for the village. When Vyrn asks why, suddenly, monsters attack the village.

Vyrn: Hey! You ready yet?
Magisa: Hmm... Please wait a little more. I can’t decide on a color yet.
The party had stopped by this small village to replenish supplies, but Magisa is now looking through the souvenirs with a serious eye.
Magisa: This ornament... has a distinctive artistic feel to it... But I wonder if he would be afraid of it... What do you think, (Captain)?
Magisa: I have this friend that cannot leave the town.
Magisa: My friend is a very timid person, but I wonder if this ornament looks scary.
Vyrn: What are you thinking so hard about?
Magisa: Oh, sorry. Looks like I made you wait.
Magisa: But please wait a little more. It’s better for the village.
Vyrn: Hm? What’s that supposed to mean...?
Monster: Gwoooaaargh!
Magisa: I told you so. Now let’s clean them up. It’s only starting to get busy.

The Unseeable Future: Scene 2

After defeating the monsters, the party is given a request to destroy the monsters’ den. On the way there, Magisa is asked about her ability to see the future. She says that she is good at magic, so seeing the future is not a problem.

Magisa: It’s simple. I’m a witch. I can tell someone’s future... no problem!
Lyria: I-Is that how it is?
(Captain) and company defeated the monsters attacking the village.
After showing off their skills, the party is formally requested to destroy the monsters’ den in the forest.
Magisa: Well... It’s not exactly the same for everyone, but...
Magisa: You know how a professor is a major in a specific field? Witches also have magic they’re good and not so good at.
Magisa: For example, there’s someone that’s good at summoning, but not so good at telling the future.
Magisa: For example, there’s someone that’s good at telling the future, but not so good at possession.
Lyria: So telling the future is what you’re good at, Magisa?!
Magisa: Of course not. I’m good at everything. I’m confident to beat anyone at anything that’s considered magic.
Vyrn: You’re a confident one, aren’t you?
Magisa: Haha... Well, it’s a fact. Despite how I look, I’m quite honest.
Magisa: Look. The monsters’ den is close. Let’s clean it up and go back to picking out souvenirs!

The Unseeable Future: Scene 3

Following her telling of the future, Magisa reports to everyone that the monsters have all been defeated. But Lyria states that she feels an ominous aura... Magisa laughs at her, saying that it’s her imagination. But a remaining monster appears, much to Magisa’s surprise.

Magisa: Phew... Looks like that was the last one. Looks like this completes the request. Now let’s go back to the village.
Lyria: W-Wait! I still feel an ominous presence...
Magisa: Oh, geez... What are you saying? Everything went according to my telling of the future. That was the very last monster.
Magisa: Sensing an ominous presence is just your imagination. Now let’s go back to the village and pick out...
Monster: Gwoooaaargh!
Magisa: Huh?
Vyrn: Tch! Lyria was right! There’s a monster left!
Magisa: That’s... impossible... In the future I saw...
Vyrn: Whatever the case, we have to do this! Let’s go! (Captain)!

The Unseeable Future: Scene 4

Magisa is in a daze because her telling of the future is wrong. She begins talking about how her destiny has changed through this journey and that she cannot tell the future anymore. She decides to enjoy at how the future is now unknown.

(Captain) and company completed the request from the village to eliminate the monsters.
The party exits the village and to the Magisa. She’s still dazed.
Magisa: I-I’m sorry... My... My fortune was wrong...
Magisa: That has never happened before...
Magisa: Could it be that being on a journey with (Captain) has changed my fate?
Magisa: In that case, the future can’t...
Lyria: Hey!
Magisa: W-What’s wrong? Lyria.
Lyria: I forgot about the souvenir.
Magisa: Oh!
Vyrn: I totally forgot. Hey, Magisa. Do you want to go back?
Magisa: Ha... Haha... Never mind. Let’s keep going.
Magisa: I’ll have lots of stories to tell my friend.
Magisa: Like the stories of my journey that even I, the extraordinary witch, could not tell the future of.
Magisa says that happily.
That smile is not one from fear of the unknown future. It is full of hope.

The Witch's Confession

(Captain) and the crew accompany Magisa on a job request to investigate some ruins. However, Magisa keeps looking at (Captain) and letting out a worried sigh. Noticing this, Lyria asks her the reason, and is told by Magisa that (Captain) is the person of her dreams. Surprised, Lyria attempts to ask her more, but before she has the chance, a monster appears and attacks the crew.

Magisa: (Sigh)…
After accepting a job request to investigate some ruins, (Captain) and the crew headed into a deep forest.
Magisa:
Magisa: (sigh)…
On the way to the ruins, Magisa sighed repeatedly with a concerned expression. Her eyes were focused on (Captain) every time.
Lyria: Miss Magisa, you seem kinda down.
Vyrn: You've been sighing to yourself for a while now. Is there something on your mind?
Magisa: Well, I guess this kind of thing can't be helped…
Magisa: I can't quite believe it myself, either. But, I just can't take my eyes off of…
Lyria: Miss Magisa! You can tell us if there's something bothering you.
Magisa: It's just, (Captain) may be the person of my dreams.
Lyria: WHAT!
Magisa: Lyria, did I surprise you? You look so shocked.
Lyria: M-Miss Magisa… just now… you…
Magisa: Eh?
Monster: GRAAARWL!
Magisa: Oh, a monster. I assume that's what you were trying to tell me, Lyria.
Lyria: S-something like that…
Monster: GRAAAAARWL!
Magisa: Hahaha. If you think you can take us by surprise, then you're sorely mistaken, monster!
Magisa: And you're about to learn that the hard way!

The Witch's Confession: Scene 2

(Captain) and the crew leave the forest and arrive at the ruins they were sent to investigate. Magisa explains to Lyria how she cannot see anything surrounding (Captain)’s future, and tells her that she sees (Captain) as a special person. Just as Magisa begins to question the nature of her attraction toward (Captain), they are attacked from behind by a group of imperial soldiers.

Leaving the forest, (Captain) and the crew set foot into the ruins they were sent to investigate.
Vyrn: What's with this place? The job description described it as "ruins," but it's not exactly run down.
Vyrn: If anything it's in quite good shape, right (Captain)?
Vyrn: I wonder if anyone arrived here before us…
Lyria: Miss Magisa! About what you were saying before… What did you mean, exactly?
Lyria: You said "person of my dreams." You couldn't possibly mean…
Noticing Lyria's glances toward (Captain), Magisa raised an eyebrow suspiciously.
Magisa: Hahaha. Why, whatever is the matter, Lyria?
Magisa: What I meant was that (Captain) is a special person to me.
Lyria: A "special person"?
Magisa: Indeed. Though I couldn't tell you the exact reason.
Magisa: I wonder why I can't see it, the future surrounding (Captain).
Lyria: Eh? But, I thought you had the power to see the future.
Magisa: Yes I do, but the closer I get to (Captain), the hazier the future becomes.
Magisa: To be perfectly honest, it frightens me. I had always taken my ability to see the future for granted.
Magisa: And so I can't help being drawn in.
Magisa: (Captain) has shown me a future that I couldn't have expected.
Magisa: Hahaha. I want to get closer, even though I'm frightened. It's the first time I've ever felt this way.
Lyria: Miss Magisa…
Magisa: If I had to name these feelings I'm having right now, I've no idea what word I'd go for.
Lyria: Urrrm, well, I may not fully understand either, but if definitely sounds like?
Lyria: (Gasp) Miss Magisa! Behind you!
Magisa: Huh?
As Magisa tried to turn around, (Captain) ran over and pushed her to one side.
Imperial Soldier: Blast! Did I miss? They reacted fast!
Magisa: Th-thank you, (Captain)…
Thanks to (Captain), the imperial soldier's attacked aimed at Magisa missed.
But, having seen the attack skim past her hair, Magisa turned pale and lost her breath.
Magisa: !
Vyrn: Darn it! What are imperial soldiers doing in the ruins?
Lyria: I have no idea, but we need to deal with them in any case!

The Witch's Confession: Scene 3

The job request to investigate the ruins turns out to be a trap, and (Captain) and the crew are surrounded by imperial soldiers. Saved by (Captain) by a hair’s breadth, Magisa is terrified at the thought of a future she is unable to predict. However, at the same time she is also excited at the idea of a future she cannot see. In order to confirm her own existence she takes (Captain)’s hand, and becomes ready to take on the imperial soldiers once more.

Imperial Soldier: Hahaha! You should just give up already!
Soldiers appeared from the shadows of the ruins one by one, and before they could react, (Captain) and the crew had no way out.
Vyrn: Darn it! Looks like the job request to investigate the ruins was a trap.
Imperial Soldier: And you fell for it! You may lead a crew of skyfarers, but you're still just a bunch of kids.
Vyrn: What do we do, (Captain)? We're completely surrounded! Maybe we can break through somewhere and make a run for it.
Magisa:
Magisa: (Gasp)… (Pant)…
Magisa: Hey… (Captain)… Please… hold my hand.
(Captain) did as Magisa said and took her hand, which trembled vigorously.
Magisa: Do you understand why I'm trembling so much? I… must seem like a fool.
Magisa: I took the ability to see the future for granted. Who'd have known I'd be so frightened without it…
Magisa: Just now, when that solider almost struck me, I really could have died.
Magisa: Because I couldn't see the future I wasn't able to dodge it myself.
Magisa: Next time, I may not be so lucky…
Magisa: The thought of it makes me tremble with fear. I really am terrified.
Magisa gripped (Captain)'s hand firmly, as if she was confirming her own existence.
Magisa: But, I'm also excited too. When I'm together with you, (Captain), my heart beats so fast.
Magisa: I think I've been looking for someone who makes me feel like this for a long time.
Magisa: Tell me, (Captain), will you continue to make me feel like this?
Magisa: Can you promise me a future full of this excitement?
  1. Of course!
  2. I don’t think it will be that exciting…

Choose: Of course!
Magisa: I see… Haha, it's a promise then.
Magisa: How many years has it been since someone made a promise like that? A promise with no end.

Choose: I don’t think it will be that exciting…
Magisa: I see. Well in that case, should I be looking forward to a different sort of future?
Magisa: One far greater than anything I can anticipate, perhaps.
Continue 1
Magisa: Either way, it would be wrong of me to wallow in this sensation any longer.
Magisa: Hahaha, it's OK, I've stopped trembling. After all, you're by my side.

The Witch's Confession: Scene 4

(Captain) and the crew successfully fend off the imperial soldiers and escape their predicament. Magisa releases the power of Morax to overwhelm any remaining soldiers. And so, (Captain) and Magisa find themselves closer than they were before as they ready to depart on their journey once more.

Vyrn: Good grief! Looks like we managed to deal with them.
With Magisa's help, (Captain) and the crew dealt with the imperial soldiers and made it out of their sticky situation.
Magisa: Hahaha. (Captain), you aren't hurt are you?
Lyria: (Captain), it seems you're strangely close to Magisa now.
Magisa: There's no mistaking it. (Captain) is the person of my dreams.
Magisa: So, could I please ask you to stop sneaking around like a fool?
Lyria: Me?
Imperial Soldier: Argh! She noticed!
In response to Magisa's words, a remaining solider stepped out from the shadows and showed himself.
Magisa: Trying to catch us off guard? Even then, you couldn't possibly win.
Imperial Soldier: Is that one of your predictions? I guess you can see the future after all…
Magisa: A "prediction"? Oh no, I'd call this confidence.
Imperial Soldier: What the!
Magisa: If you're planning on doing anything to (Captain), I'll reduce you to cinders before you can even draw your blade.
Magisa: Don't worry, it'll only take a moment. It’s a simple enough task.
Imperial Soldier: Yikes! This witch is insane!
Vyrn: Whoa! I've never seen anyone run away so fast!
Vyrn: Then again, who wouldn't run from something so humongous?
Magisa: Hahaha. You don't always need magical powers to see what's in store for you.
Magisa: He knew it would be impossible to win against us, and made the right choice.
Commanding the summoned creature behind her, the precognitive witch smiled to herself quietly.
Her eyes, which had once peered into the future, were now peering longingly at one of her fellow skyfarers.

The Witch Hunting Village

On their travels, (Captain) and the crew visit a small village. However, a strange atmosphere looms over the village, and there is no sign of any people. Suddenly, a young girl runs by, being pursued by a guard readying his sword. While they may not understand the situation, the crew decides to intervene and stop the guard.

(Captain) and the crew continue their journey in search of the Island of the Astrals.
On their travels, they stop to rest at a small village in the depths of some mountains.
Vyrn: What's going on here? There are hardly any people in this village…
Lyria: Strange… There are lots of houses, but nobody around, even though it's still light outside.
Magisa: There could be all sorts of reasons, so we shouldn't assume something strange is going on just yet.
Magisa: It does seem like they're scared of something though.
Magisa: Look closely at the doors to the houses. They all have charms to protect against evil spirits on them.
Vyrn: A charm? What on Sky World is going on in this village?
Girl: (Pant)… (Pant)…
Lyria: Look, that girl! She must be from this village!
Girl: !
Lyria: She's gone… I wonder where she was running to.
Guard: Wait! Stop running already! Blast, that witch!
Magisa: That girl just now…
Lyria: This isn't good! Looks like the guard is chasing after that girl who ran by just now!
Vyrn: Eh! B-but, he looks like he's getting ready to brandish his sword!
Magisa: I have no idea what's going on in this town, but I'm not prepared to just stand aside and watch what happens.

The Witch Hunting Village: Scene 2

(Captain) and the crew are confronted by the villagers for saving the girl. Recently, the villagers have been tormented by monsters, and are calling the girl, who can communicate with monsters, a witch and holding her responsible. Hearing this, Magisa offers to help catch the girl, but this is just a rouse, and her true intentions are to find the girl and ask her side of the story. As such, the crew head out to the woods in which the girl lives.

Villager 1: Blast it! Why are you meddling in other people's affairs!
(Captain) and the crew have protected the girl from the guards.
However, the crew lose sight of the girl, and the villagers start blaming them for interfering.
Villager 1: What do you think you're doing? Why did you help that girl?
Magisa: Are you honestly saying that we should ignore a little girl being chased by a guard with a sword?
Villager 1: Yes we are! This matter doesn't concern you, but it's for the sake of the village.
Vyrn: For the sake of the village? What is that girl supposed to have done?
Villager 2: That was no ordinary girl just now?that was a witch. A fearful witch, threatening the wellbeing of the village.
Magisa: Haha… A witch? That little girl?
Villager 3: Yes, a witch! For some reason that little girl has the ability to control monsters!
Villager 3: All the monsters that have been appearing in the town lately are the work of that witch!
Village Chief: I've actually been attacked by one of that witch's monsters before.
Village Chief: Perhaps it looks strange to you outsiders…
Village Chief: But we need to catch that witch to protect the village.
Lyria: Huh? There's something about the chief…
Vyrn: Huh? What is it, Lyria?
Lyria: Errrr, it's n-nothing! I think I just got the wrong idea for a second.
Magisa: Excuse me, but where does that little girl live?
Village Chief: She lives in some woods on the outskirts of the village. Why do you ask?
Magisa: Hahaha, please don't pull such a scared face. We just wish to atone for our mistake earlier.
Magisa: How about we take over the hunt and catch that girl for you?
Vyrn: H-hey! Magisa, what are you saying!
Village Chief: We appreciate the offer, but the witches house is protected by monsters, so getting close is no easy task.
Magisa: That's no problem. Please just leave it to us.
Vyrn: Hey, Magisa, what are you thinking! Why would you offer to catch the girl for them?
Magisa: If I didn't say that then the villagers wouldn't have let us leave.
Magisa: And now we know exactly where the girl lives, also.
Magisa: Let's go find our little witch and hear her side of the story directly.

The Witch Hunting Village: Scene 3

(Captain) and the crew manage to get past the monsters and find the little girl. The girl tells them that she has never deliberately tried to set monsters on the villagers, but there is something in the village that makes the monsters lose control. Magisa trusts the girl’s story and comes up with a plan to send the village into turmoil. Amid the confusion, the source of the trouble is revealed to be a dark crystal that the village chief is hiding. The crew takes on the challenge to destroy the crystal and put an end to the matter once and for all.

Monster: Graaaaaawl…
Vyrn: Darn it! And we're so close to the place they told us.
Girl: Excuse me, but… are you the people from before?
As the little girl appears, the monster that had been growling threateningly suddenly becomes quiet, and snuggles up to her.
Magisa: Hello there, my little witch. Nice to meet you.
Girl: H-hello… Urrrm… Is there something you want with me?
Magisa: Indeed there is. We heard about you from the villagers and decided to pay you a little visit.
Girl: So you're here to capture me!
Monster: GRAAAAWL!
Magisa: Hahaha, don't worry. We haven't come here to try and capture you.
Girl: So, what then?
Magisa: Well, I was hoping that you would be kind enough to tell us your side of the story?
The little girl lets her guard down, and speaks at length to the crew.
The girl has no relatives, and was born with the ability to form bonds with monsters.
However, according to the girl, she has never tried to set monsters on the village even once.
Girl: But recently something strange happened. Normally my monster friends stay quiet and keep to themselves.
Girl: But now, whenever one gets near the village chief's house or storehouse it suddenly becomes restive.
Girl: It never used to be a problem, but a few people got injured…
Magisa: And that's why they started brandishing you a witch, I assume.
Girl: Yes.
Lyria: I knew it. Before, I could sense something strange about the village chief.
Lyria: It was an unpleasant feeling, almost as if I knew him from somewhere…
Vyrn: I think I smell a rat, (Captain)!
Magisa: Now, little girl, was everything you told us the truth?
The little girl looked directly into Magisa's eyes and nodded firmly.
Girl: I'm not lying to you. It's all true.
Magisa: Hmmmm, I see. How about we have a little fun with the villagers?
Villager 1: Aaaargh! S-someone! Someone help me!
Village Chief: What is it? What's happened?
Villager 1: It's the witch! That little brat, she's finally coming to do away with us!
Villager 2: Monsters are closing in on the village from all directions! They're already inside the village!
Village Chief: What! Blast it!
Villager 2: H-hey, wait! Where are you going! HEY!
Monster: GRAAAARWL!
Villager 2: YIIIIKES!
Monster:
Villager 2: …Huh?
Each monster growls threateningly at a villager, but turns away and heads for a different villager without attacking.
The monsters continue to behave this way, growling at villagers but never attacking.
Villager 2: Wh-what's going on?
Villager 1: I dunno, but that was a close call! Quick, let's go indoors before it's too late!
Girl: You can growl as loud as you want, but make sure you don't hurt anyone! Got it?
Monster: Garp!
Girl: All right, I'm counting on you. If things get hairy, just run away!
Monster: Garp!
Magisa: Hahaha. Seeing the monsters behave like this is adorable.
Girl: Urrrm, is it really OK for us to be doing this?
Magisa: It may scare the villagers a little, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
Magisa: And this way they'll come to see the truth behind what's really going on.
Magisa: Hmmmm, so this is the village chief's storehouse you mentioned?
Monster: Graaaawl!
Girl: Yeah. My monster friends don't want to get any closer than this.
Lyria: There is something inside this storehouse. I can feel some strange power.
Vyrn: Whatever it is, looks like it's the cause of all the strange goings-on in the village!
Vyrn: Let's investigate inside and put an end to all the misunderstandings once and for all!
Village Chief: I can't let you do that.
Magisa: Why, its none other than the village chief. What perfect timing; I happen to have a favor to ask.
Magisa: Whatever is going on in this village, we can help. We're quite resourceful, you know.
Magisa: So do us a favor and show us what's inside this storehouse.
Village Chief: I refuse.
Magisa: Ah! Well, it seems you'd be in a tight spot if anyone found out what was inside.
Village Chief: Just drop it, will you? I'm sure you already know what's inside, no?
Village Chief: I bet that little brat's been dropping you hints, too. Thanks to her my plan is all ruined.
Lyria: I sense that strange power coming from the chief again. Wait, I feel something else, too.
Village Chief: I should've known to be weary of outsiders. But who'd have thought someone who knows about dark crystals would come along.
The irritated village chief mutters to himself as he pulls out a crystal he had concealed on himself.
Vyrn: It's a dark crystal! But why does the village chief have one?
Village Chief: It's not over for you all just yet. If you keep your mouths sealed, there's still hope that you could make it out of this alive.
Guard:
Village Chief: Then again, luck would have it the village is overrun by monsters. No one'll think twice if they hear you lost your lives to them?
Magisa: Humph, it would seem we're at an impasse, then. You couldn't possibly sink any lower, could you?
Magisa: Calling this little girl a witch! You brought this on yourself!
Magisa: It's time to show you the true meaning of the word witch.
Magisa: So terrifying it'll chill you to the bone. You'll want to forget, but it'll be engraved into your mind so deep that you never can.

The Witch Hunting Village: Scene 4

(Captain) and the crew capture the village chief and his henchmen. Stored in the chief’s storehouse is a large shipment of dark crystals, which he had illegitimately obtained from the Imperial Empire to trade on the black market. The crew visits the village again the following day, but the little girl has decided to keep on living in the woods on the outskirts of the village, with the hope of one day becoming a powerful witch like Magisa.

The crew manage to capture the village chief and his guards, and lock them up in the storehouse.
Lyria: Th-this is!
Before the crew is a large pile of dark crystals that the chief obtained illegitimately from the Imperial Empire.
The village chief had been trafficking the crystals, which was the cause of the monsters' rage.
(Captain) and the crew dispose of the crystals at the villager's request and leave.
The following day, the crew visit the village once more to find that the girl is still living in the woods on the outskirts.
Vyrn: But, the misunderstanding with the villagers has been cleared up now, right? Why haven't you returned to the village?
Girl: Urrm, the thing is, the village still makes me feel uneasy somehow.
Girl: Also, there's no way they'd let me live alongside all my monster friends in the village.
Monster: Garp!
Magisa: I see. If that is the way of life you have chosen, then we have no objection.
Girl: But, thank you for helping sort everything out!
Girl: Miss Magisa, you were soooo cool.
Girl: When I grow up, I wanna be a powerful witch just like you, Miss Magisa!
Magisa: Hahaha, thank you. I'm happy that you think I'm so cool.
Magisa: You can definitely become a powerful witch too. I can see the future, so I guarantee it.
Magisa: To be prepared to move away from civilization and live in these creepy woods at your age?it's like you were born to be a witch!
Magisa's face lights up with a mischievous smile.
They see the girl off at the village. Magisa's heart feels warm with the knowledge that they have discovered a bright new star.
