1

Let me wish you a happy birthday.
I'm so glad that we're all here to celebrate the anniversary of your birth together.
Captain, may the wind spirits protect and guide you.

2

I'm so happy to be beside you on your birthday, (Captain).
I wish you another fantastic year, Captain.
And may the spirits be with you.

3

You look a bit down? Ah, so it's the rain that has you pouting, huh?
Oh, don't worry. The rain will come to a stop soon enough. Why don't we go out for a bit?
Ah, (Captain), look at that!
The clear blue skies are giving way to a rainbow!
You're wondering if I used my powers?
Nuh-uh, I just read the weather based on the pattern of the clouds.
Meaning this rainbow spells great fortune for you.
Happy birthday, (Captain)! I pray you'll be happy all-year round.
And may the wind spirits be with you!

4

Happy birthday, (Captain)!
I'm so happy we're all together to celebrate the occasion this year too.
I'll pray to the wind spirits to watch over our journey so that we can always continue to do so.
Even if storm clouds should darken our path, I know this crew will find safe passage.
I want us all to gather on deck to watch meteor showers.
And work together to make sure you feel loved on your special day each year.
Here's to another wonderful year, (Captain).

1

Happy New Year.
My New Year's resolution is to try letting go every once in a while!
Hm, you don't think it's something I should worry about too much? Hehe, I guess you could say that.

2

Happy New Year! Out with the old, in with the new! I wonder what this year's going to be like...
I'm often told I'm too serious, so I'd like to learn to be more funny.
And to do that, I need to find a good teacher!
Come next year I hope to lighten the mood on the crew with my humor!

3

Do you remember my resolution from last year? It was to develop more of a sense of humor.
And I'd like to show you how far I've come. Please have a listen!
Hee-hee, here I go... Never gets bland with the Grandcypher because it's so grand...
How's that for a pun?
Rgh... You're trying too hard to laugh. I guess it wasn't too hot? Humor's not an easy thing...
Oh, the hamburgers with extra crispy buns are ready. How many do you want? I'll bring them over.
Ahaha, bringing the fun with buns... Aah!

4

Happy New Year.
What wonderful weather to welcome the first sunrise of the new year!
The clear air is so refreshing... It's telling us that the year will be a wonderful one.
How will you spend the day, (Captain)?
I imagine it can't be all too easy deciding how to spend this invigorating new beginning.
If you're still undecided, would you like to take a walk with me?
It'll be a chance for you to take in the New Year's breeze in full. And it just might spark a few ideas.

Umm, (Captain)? I made some chocolate and was wondering if you'd like some.
I tried my best making them, so I hope you like the taste.

2

Um, (Captain)? I made all this chocolate for Valentine's!
Would you like to try some? Here, this one's for you!
I had Lyria try a few and she absolutely loved them!
I know there's not many in there, but you're going to love the taste!

3

(Captain), do you have some time?
I made some Valentine's chocolates this year too. Won't you have some?
Haha... I'm so glad to see you happy. Hope you like how they taste!
Are those birdie figurines on the desk?
Ah, they're adorable!
The client from our prior mission made them for us? That's some impressive worksmanship!
You'll give me one? I appreciate the thought, but I'll pass.
After all, the client made it especially for you, (Captain).
I know that feeling all too well, because I get it too when I'm making chocolates.
So I hope you'll take good care of them. Consider it a favor to me as well.

4

(Captain), here you go... Valentine's chocolates.
I put all my heart into them this year too.
Does it suit your tastes?
Haha, I'm glad to hear it.
That wonderful smile you show me every year always makes me want to please you further.
To think that I was so nervous about making chocolates by hand...
But look at how good I am at it now!
I'll continue practicing in hopes of seeing an even bigger smile on your face, (Captain)!

Today's White Day, isn't it?
Huh? You're giving this... to me? Oh my... I'm overjoyed!
Thank you so much, (Captain)!

2

(Captain)? I heard you were looking for me?
Hm? A present for me? Aaah! This makes me so happy!
You did all this just for me? I don't know what to say...
Teehee, I feel so warm inside. Thank you so much, (Captain)!

3

Um, you said you have some business with me? Can you elaborate?
This is thanks for Valentine's?
Ah, this makes me so happy!
Thanks for being so thoughtful! I'll be sure to relish the taste!
You have another present for me?
Oh, it's one of those birdie figurines!
I can't accept something so valuable!
Hm? This is different from the ones I saw last time?
You asked the craftsman how he made them so you could make me one yourself?
You're too kind, (Captain). Just the chocolates alone would've made me more than happy...
Truth is I've never been happier in my life! I'll treasure it for a long time to come!

4

(Captain)? You look exceptionally busy today...
If there's anything I can help with, please let me know.
This present? Mm-hm! Where should I bring it?
Huh? I-it's for me?
Aah! Today's White Day!
I was looking forward to today so much. I can't believe I forgot about it...
Thank you, (Captain)!

Trick or Treat Cutscenes

1

Trick or treat! Today is one of those days when you can really let loose!
Heh heh! I'm gonna try to play some tricks of my own!

2

Hee hee... Everyone seems to be having so much fun!
I'd like to play some tricks as well, but I'm having trouble deciding.
What kind of trick should I play?
I'm not very good at thinking up these kinds of things. No good ideas are coming to mind.
I know! How about you show me an example trick or two, (Captain)?
That should help me think of some tricks of my own!

3

Trick or treat!
(Captain), I thought of a splendid trick. May I try it on you?
Hehe, thank you. Here it comes.
You see this treat? Are you sure? A one, and a two, and a three—
Poof!
So which hand do I have it in? Get it right, and it's yours!
This one? Okay, here goes nothing... Ta-da!
Oopsie, too bad. Nothing in this one! No treat for you, (Captain).
My other hand's empty too actually, haha. The correct answer is my sleeves!
What's with the long face? Hey, don't look at me with those puppy eyes!
Okay, okay! I'll give you the treat, so cheer up already, please!

4

Trick or treat!
Would you like to accompany me into town, (Captain)?
This year I want to do even more research before I attempt my tricks...
I'm betting there will be plenty of people in town willing to demonstrate tricks for us!
And of course, I have candy ready and waiting! I have enough treats in my pumpkin bucket to satisfy a whole townful of trick-or-treaters!
Huh? If I give them the candy, they won't pull out their pranks?
How could I have overlooked that? Umm...
I know! I'll just tell them I choose trick and treat!

5

Oh, it's you, (Captain). Are you enjoying this Halloween?
Yes, of course I'm having a good time! I stopped playing pranks on others though.
I realized I wasn't very good at them, but that's not what led me to quit.
You see, more than tease others, I would rather see them smile.
I realized it last year, when we were handing out candy to children.
Though I'm no good at trickery, the least I can do is make others happy with homemade treats!
Oh, but do feel free to try our Halloween machinations on me, (Captain)!

Happy Holidays Cutscenes

1

It's the holiday season, isn't it? Do you want me to use my powers to make it snow?
I'm not so sure I can, but since you're the one that's asking, (Captain), I'll give it my best shot!

2

Take a look at this, (Captain)! They were handing these out in town!
If we write what we want on a piece of paper and put it inside this stocking, we'll get it as a present the next morning!
What are you going to write, (Captain)? I wonder if should write Mom...
Actually I think I'd rather look for my mom myself.

3

Word is that he soars the skies to hand out presents to all the good kids.
A cold northerly wind blows during these nights. It even snows sometimes.
I wonder if Santa Claus can read the winds. It worries me a bit...
Do you know how I might be able to meet him? Surely there's a thing or two I can help him with.
Hm? The kids on the crew already have their share of presents, so there's no need?
Sorry, I didn't know you were helping to deliver the presents too.
I guess I can just take it easy and enjoy the holidays then.

A New Wind Blows[edit source]

Our heroes accepted an application from Petra, who wanted to make others aware of her accomplishments, and headed for Petra’s hometown. However, the village had been obliterated by Imperial soldiers who were hunting for the sealed celestial wind spirit. Petra faced the unleashed celestial wind spirit with resolve. After resealing the celestial wind spirit, Petra learned the truth about her own mother, and once again set out on a journey to find her.

Petra evolved as a wind shaman by completing her trials at the Temple of the Wind Spirit.
She told the party that she wanted to drop by her village and tell her mother what was going on.
Petra: Watch out for yourself...
Petra: I want to tell my mother of my newfound resolve to live as a wind shaman!
Vyrn: I got it now! Of course you don’t mind? (Captain) and Lyria!
Lyria: Yes! It will be fun to meet your mother, Miss Petra!
Petra: My mother was dead when I was a child... I used to visit her grave.
Lyria: R-really? My apologies, for saying I wanted to meet again.
Petra: N-no! My explanation was not good!
Petra: So therefore, don’t worry! Right?
Lyria: Uhh... Thank you...
Vyrn: Alright! Now pull yourself together, and let’s go to the village of the wind shamans!
The party headed for the village of the wind shamans, Petra's hometown.
Thus the party felt a change in the surroundings of the village of the wind shamans after they touched down there.
Petra: How strange... Where are all the villagers?
Vyrn: Look! There's someone laying over there!
Vyrn pointed out a collapsed person to the others.
The party took care of an injured villager who was gasping for breath.
Petra: Are you all right?!
Villager: Uh... Ugh... Petra...? I’m... All right...
Petra: I am back from my trials! Did something happen in the village?!
Villager: It was... The Empire. The Empire has attacked us...
Vyrn: Damnit! So those Imperial scumbags did it!
Villager: They headed for the Windless Valley...
Petra: To the Windless Valley?! What could the Empire be up to?!
Villager: Ah... Probably... cough! *cough*!
Petra: Are you alright?! Take it easy!
Villager: Hah... hah... hah... I'm fine! They took the elder hostage... Petra...
Petra: Yes! I will repel the Empire... I will not fail to save the elder!
The party ushered the villages to a safe place, and were then guided to the Windless Valley by Petra.
Petra: This Windless Valley has been the resting place for wind shamans throughout history... Including my mother.
Vyrn: It is a wind shaman graveyard? What use the Empire have for a place like that?
Petra: Perhaps they are after the celestial wind spirit?
Lyria: The celestial wind spirit... Is that a primal beast?
Petra: I don’t know. According to tradition it seems to originally have been a spirit that coexisted here with the wind shamans.
Petra: In the end, it seems that the celestial wind spirit was sealed up after it ran rampant and attackd people...
Petra: Wha?! Perhaps it has been unleashed?! We had better hurry!
Lyria: W-Wait! It's too dangerous to go on your own!
The party chased after Petra as she rushed into the palace of the celestial wind spirit.
Inside the palace, Imperial soldiers stood in a circle surroundign the altar.
Petra: You people?! Do you understand what kind of place this is?
Imperial Captain: Who are you? There are still villagers running free?
Vyrn: Alright! First we gotta beat those guys!
Petra: Wait! It’s the elder...
Elder: Oh! Petra! Get these guys away from the altar...
Imperial Soldier: Shut up! Put a sock in it, old man!
Elder: Wha?!
Petra: Elder!
Elder: Don’t worry about me! Hurry and stop these guys!
Imperial Captain: Good grief... Even though you guided us here, you were against us all along?
Imperial Captain: Don’t you realize what will happen to the villagers if you resist us?
Petra: Ugh... You fiends!
Imperial Captain: If we are able to obtain the power of the celestial wind spirit who wields the power of nature...
Imperial Captain: My standing at the Imperial Headquarters will be solidified... Let’s hurry back with that stone!
Petra: Hold it right there! That green crystal must remain on its pedestal!
Lyria: This is sickening!
Imperial Captain: Hahaha... I understand.
Imperial Captain: ... You think we came all this way just to give up now? We were well aware of the danger!
Imperial Soldier: Gasp!
The Imperial soldiers began to remove the green crystal that was sealed into the altar, as ordered.
However, the green crystal wouldn't move a bit.
Elder: It’s no good... The seal cannot be broken without using the power of a wind shaman.
Imperial Captain: Is that so... Anyway, smash the altar.
Imperial Soldier: Gasp!
Elder: Stop it! If you do that, it can’t be resealed!
Ignoring the elder’s cries, the Imperial soldiers smashed the altar with all their might.
A blinding light and a shockwave blasted through the area surrounding the altar. The bodies of the Imperial soldiers were blasted against the wall like ragdolls.
???: It’s been a while. Humans.
Petra: You're the Celestial Wind Spirit!
Petra picked up the green crystal fragments that scattered before her.
Celestial Wind Spirit: So you have not forgotten about me.
Imperial Captain: Such incredible power! Who knew such a thing could exist!
Celestial Wind Spirit: Hm...? You...
Imperial Captain: I broke your seal! Quickly! I want that spirit’s power!
Celestial Wind Spirit: Oh, I see. First I must state the formalities.
Celestial Wind Spirit: But... You talk of the impossible.
Imperial Captain: Why? You think I am going to give you my power?!
Celestial Wind Spirit: You are not those who deserve my protection...
Celestial Wind Spirit: You do not have the essence of shamans... So you cannot use my powers.
Imperial Captain: What? No! Give us your power!
Celestial Wind Spirit: Silence! You shut up.
Imperial Captain: Ah...!
Elder: Ugh...! How did it come to this... Petra! The villagers need protecting!
Petra: This is no good... We must put a stop to this!
Petra clutched the green crystal fragments with all her might, trying to get her body's shaking under control.
Celestial Wind Spirit: Is that so... I believe I have seen those eyes before. Aren't you the daughter of Carra?
Petra: I am your new counterpart, in place of my mother!
Lyria: Miss Petra! Be careful! Don’t overdo things!
Vyrn: Exactly! We can help you!
Petra: You guys...
Celestial Wind Spirit: My body has grown weak during my long slumber...
Celestial Wind Spirit: If Carra is not here... I’ll play with you instead.
The celestial wind spirit held out his hand. A gust of wind blew against Petra’s chest.
Petra: Hm?
Petra crumpled to her knees. A deep darkness spread throughout Petra’s bosom.
Then an intense pain slowly spread from the empty hole in her chest. Petra twisted her face in agony.
Petra: Ugh... Agh...
Vyrn: H-hey! What are you doing to Petra?!
Celestial Wind Spirit: She is the daughter of Carra. Therefore, I am simply eliminating her before she becomes a problem.
Celestial Wind Spirit: No one can stop me.
Lyria: Miss Petra! I’ll help you!
Petra: Ugh... Agh... Ugh...
At that time, the fragments of the green crystal Petra clutched in her hand began to pulsate.
The green crystal fragments that periodically emitted light floated above Petra’s wound and clumped together.
The light emitted by the green crystal fragments began sealing Petra’s wound. A coat of arms floated above her chest.
Celestial Wind Spirit: Damn it! What's going on...?
Petra: I heard my mother’s voice.
Celestial Wind Spirit: What? Carra?!
Celestial Wind Spirit: Who knew that you cretins wielded such power?!
Petra: I’ll give it a try!
While apparently exchanging words with someone, Petra raised her staff before her eyes and began chanting a spell.
Petra: Celstial wind spirit, master of causes and effects in nature, you must promise me!
Celestial Wind Spirit: Damn you...!!! Stupid girl!
The celestial wind spirit was sucked into the green crystal on the end of her staff.
Petra: Pant... Pant... I did it...
Petra lost consciousness after sealing the celestial wind spirit into the tip of her staff.
Thus the village of the wind shamans was saved by Petra’s actions.
The Imperial soldiers who attacked the village were also released, with the firm promise that they would never again approach the village.
Petra rested for a while and completely recovered. She visited the elder’s house together with the party.
Elder: Thank you for joining together with Petra to save our village.
Vyrn: Nah, we haven't really done anything.
Lyria: Yes! It was all thanks to Miss Petra!
Petra: That’s not true! We were only strong because we all worked together.
Elder: Anyway... I can’t thank you enough.
Petra: By the way... You had something you wanted to discuss?
Elder: Oh. That’s right, that’s right. It’s something important...
As Petra fixed her gaze on him, the elder eased into his talk.
Elder: Did you know that this village of the wind shamans originally flourished under the divine protection of the celestial wind spirit?
Petra: Yes. An especially talented wind shaman was able to obtain this divine protection.
Elder: Ah. Your mother, Carra, used her singular talents to obtain the divine protection of the wind spirit.
Elder: In addition to her original ability to predict the weather, Carra's truly godlike powers even extended to controlling the weather herself.
Vyrn: Wow, your mother was amazing, Petra!
Elder: Now that Petra had absorbed the power of the celestial wind spirit, she would soon be able to wield the same sort of power as her mother.
Lyria: Amazing! Miss Petra is turning into a goddess!
Petra: Don't be silly, with this “goddess” talk!
Elder: Nevertheless, you have indeed obtained an unparalleled power... Be careful how you use it.
Petra: Y- Yes! Words to live by!
Elder: Carra the wind shaman shall travel this Sky World as a member of a legendary Order. This happened before you were born...
Elder: One day, a black mist of unknown origins fell upon this village of the wind shamans.
Petra: It was... The Night of the Black Mist.
Elder: That night, all engulfed by the black mist lost their senses and ranpaged about.
Elder: Unfortunately, the celestial wind spirit was also a victim of that mist...
Lyria: Is that so... So that is how he came to hate mankind.
Elder: At that time, Carra unexpectedly showed up in the village. Kind of like how you all came to help us.
Elder: However, there was one difference... She held a small child in her arms. That was you... Petra.
A quiet Petra nodded deeply as she listened to the elder’s words.
Petra: So my mother sealed the celestial wind spirit and then died...
Lyria: That’s awful.
Vyrn: Maybe it was your mother who helped us with the spirit?
Elder: Unfortunately... I really don’t know.
Elder: However, I must apologize for misleading Petra somewhat.
Elder: Petra’s mother Carra did not actually die then.
Petra: Wha?!
Vyrn: What the heck do you mean!
Elder: Carra said she was going to track down the true source of that black mist that descended on the village and then left on a journey...
Elder: I was worried that she was going to take Petra with her, but she decided that would it would be safer to leave her behind in the village.
Elder: Carra told me to tell you about all this when you became a wind shaman, Petra.
Elder: I intended to tell you when you came back here as a wind shaman.
Petra frantically tried to get her trembling under control.
Elder: I have been misleading you all along, so it is understandable that you might be shaking with rage.
Elder: Anyway, regarding Carra... She hasn’t come back yet...
Elder: She might still be fighting with something, somewhere.
At that time, Petra leaped to her feet.
Vyrn: Oh! What happened?
Petra: I am actually pleased to know the truth about myself! My mother might still be around somewhere in this world...
Elder: Hahaha... Maybe! Maybe! You are Carra's child!
Petra: I made up my mind! I’m not just going to wait around for my mother to return, I am going to go meet her myself!
Lyria: Miss Petra! I am rooting for you!
Petra: So... Can you guys help me out some more? Please, (Captain)!
  1. Hahaha... Your smiling face is so cute.
  2. I also want to meet Carra!

Choose: Hahaha... Your smiling face is so cute.
Petra: My smile? T-thank you!
Petra: So... Is it OK?
Vyrn: You’ll be fine! Right, Lyria?
Lyria: I have no problem with it!
Lyria: Anyway... Let’s all protect Miss Petra's cute smiling face!
Vyrn: And so it's settled. I’m looking forward to traveling with you. Petra!

Choose: I also want to meet Carra!
Petra: Yes! I am always concerned about how others perceive me!
Lyria: Well you surely are a pretty girl, Miss Petra!
Vyrn: Alright! We will help you find your mother!
Vyrn: And so it's settled. I’m looking forward to traveling with you. Petra!
Continue 1
Petra: Thank you! It will be nice traveling with you, everyone!
Thus Petra joined the party on their journey, with the new goal of finding her mother.
Would the day come when Petra would be reunited with her mother?

The God of Humility[edit source]

(Captain) and company continued their journey, tracing the whereabouts of Petra’s mother. However, they are unable to find any clues about the black fog that her mother had been after. The party decides to take a break in a village they come across.

Petra visited her hometown, the village of wind shamans. She made a pact with the celestial wind spirit after breaking the seal and learns the hidden truth about her mother.
Ever since, Petra and the crew have been gathering information about the Primal Beasts, traveling in search of Petra’s mother.
Vyrn: I’ve been asking around for rumors about this black fog but it doesn’t seem like anyone knows anything about it.
Lyria: Yeah... I’m sorry, Petra. I wish I could be of more help to you.
Petra: No, it’s fine. Don’t worry. It’s been my dream to travel freely like the wind to where ever it might take me.
Petra: On that note... Why don’t we take a short break around here?
Vyrn: Yeah! Then... How about that village over ther by the foot of that mountain?

The God of Humility: Scene 2[edit source]

The village they had decided to stop by had been troubled by a drought -- its causes unknown. Petra uses the powers of her celestial wind spirit to fill the village well as a temporary solution. To determine the cause of the drought itself, the group decides to travel into the monster infested mountains.

The party decided to stop by the village to take a rest. However, there was clearly a somber air that filled the village.
According to the villagers, it hasn’t rained in a while for reasons unknown and the drought has caused the village well to run dry.
Vyrn: Hmm... A drought caused by reasons unknown, huh... That doesn’t sound good.
Villager: *Sigh* If this well runs dry, then we will have to leave this village...
Lyria: Oh no... Please, wait! We promise, we’ll take care of it!
Villager: I appreciate your thoughts but what exactly can you do?
Petra: Um... Is it possible for me to take a look at that well?
Petra raises her hand timidly as everyone’s eyes gather on her.
Petra: If I use my powers, I might be able to do something.
Villager: Your powers, huh... Well, if you’re that confident, I’ll guide you there.
Petra: At your service!
Petra is guided to the well in question. She then closes her eyes and concentrates her mind.
Petra’s body begins to glow with a faint light.
Petra: Spirit of water, that which dwells in these lands... In the name of the celestial wind, I beg you to lend me your powers...
As she casts her spell, Petra waves her staff over the well. The light that surrounds her gathers at the tip of the staff.
The light then falls from the staff into the well. The moment it reaches the bottom, the well begins to bubble vigorously.
Just like that, the almost empty well overflows with cold, clear, fresh water.
Villager: Th-this is a miracle! Who are you?
Vyrn: Wow... How does that work? It didn’t look like magic, nor did it look like the powers of a Primal Beast.
Lyria: Yeah... I sense this strange power, like a mixture between Petra’s own energy and that of nature.
Village: Your name is Petra? Thank you so much!
Petra: Y-yes... But all I did was borrow the the powers from the spirit who resides in these lands and...
Villager: You don’t have to explain, it’s fine! You’ve saved our village!
Petra: W-well, no... Actually, the root of the problem hasn’t been solved yet.
Villager: What...?! Oh... heavens have mercy...
Petra: Unless it rains in the nearby mountains, it’s only a matter of time before this well runs dry again.
Vyrn: That makes sense... Yeah.
Petra: There’s also something that bothers me. Would it be okay if we survey the areas around the village?
Villager: Y-yes, why of course! Please! If there’s anything we can do to help, let us know!
Petra: All right. Then, first off, do you know anyone in the village who may have encountered any ill fortune around the same time the drought started?
Villager: Uh...? A villager with misfortune? No, I can’t think of anyone in particular.
Petra: All right. That’s fine. It might become a little dangerous, so you should wait back here.
Villager: Y-yes, understood. Thank you for your help!
Petra: Sorry to trouble you, but... Can you please lend me a hand?
Lyria: But of course! Right, (Captain)?
(Captain) nods to Lyria’s call.
Vyrn: Then it’s been decided! Let’s head out!
Lyria: Is something in this mountain causing the problem?
Petra: Yes... if my intuitions are correct.
Petra: I can sense that this mountain is filled with monsters. Everyone, we have to stay alert!

The God of Humility: Scene 3[edit source]

Petra guesses that the village drought is being caused by a monster known as “Batu. ”As they are walking along the mountain pass, they find a woman who is crouched behind a rock. Lyria rushes over to her but as she begins to beg for water, she turns into a monster.

The group continues climbing the mountain path, aiming for the peak.
While on their way, Petra begins to talk about a monster she had heard about in the village of the wind shamans.
Petra: A monster called the Batu probably lives in these mountains and is causing the strange weather in the village.
Lyria: A... Batu?
Petra: Yes. This Batu is probably eating all of the rain clouds and that’s why it hasn’t been raining in this entire area.
Petra: This Batu is actually a...
Petra’s explanation is interrupted by a woman’s sob. They can hear it coming from somewhere nearby.
As they search around, they find a woman crouched behind a rock.
Lyria: Oh no! There’s a woman over there!
Petra: Lyria! Wait! Stop!
Lyria panics and rushes over to the woman, not listening to Petra’s warning to stop.
Lyria: E-excuse me, are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?
Woman: W-water... May I have just a sip of water?
Lyria: Uh, water? I-I’m sorry. I don’t have any water on me right now.
Woman: I see... You don’t want to share any of your water with me...
Lyria: N-no! That’s not it! Once we get to the village down by the base of the mountain...
Woman: Water water water water... Give me water!!!
Vyrn: Hey! That lady doesn’t seem quite right!
The crazed woman transforms into a monster.
Petra: It’s... a Batu!
Batu: Give... me... water...
Lyria: Ahhhh!
Petra: Watch out!!!
Petra yells as she pours all of her energy into her powers and launches a bright light.
As if answering to Petra’s light, a dirt wall forms up from the ground and gently envelops the group.
Vyrn: ?! Are we... safe? Wait, what is this?! Did you do this, Lyria?
Lyria: I-it wasn’t me!
Petra: Ha... haha... I was able to use the power of spirits... without casting!
Vyrn: We’re the ones that are surprised! I didn’t know you could do this kind of stuff, Petra!
Petra: Everyone! We can talk about this later! We have to concentrate on the Batu!
Batu: It’s dark... It’s cold... Where... Where am I? Please... Help me...

The God of Humility: Scene 4[edit source]

(Captain) and company defeated the Batu, which should have solved the cause of the drought. However, it the village wouldn't receive rain immediately. That was when Petra came in and used her celestial wind spirit powers to create a rain cloud which hydrated the village. The villagers who watched the ritual praised Petra as if she were a goddess. Petra looks to (Captain) and company for a little help.

The group defeats the Batu and finds the remains of what seems to be the woman that the Batu had possessed.
After picking up the remains of the woman, the group headed back down the mountain. They explained to the villagers about what they found.
Villager: So this monster, the Batu was it? It was possessing this woman and that’s what was causing the drought?
Petra: Yes, most likely... This woman probably got lost in the mountains when this Batu found its likely host.
Petra: I have a request. Will you please take care of her remains here in this village so that she may rest in peace?
Villager: Yes, of course! I will take it upon myself to make her a grave!
Lyria: The woman... She must have been so sad and alone in the mountains.
Lyria: I hope she finds peace when she joins the others in this village.
Petra: Yes. There’s nothing to worry about now.
Vyrn: Hehe. And that’s case closed! Petra, you’ve done a great job again!
Villager: It’s all thanks to you, Miss Petra. You’ve saved us! Now we just wait for it to rain!
Petra: Yes... But...
Although the villagers are overwhelmed with joy, Petra seems worried.
Petra: It may still take some time until the rain comes back naturally...
Villager: W-well, sure... It’s not like it’d rain immediately just because the monster is gone. I understand.
Vyrn: Yeah... There’s not much we can do about that, though. Right, Lyria?
Lyria: Yes... Unfortunately. I’m sorry we can’t be of help.
Villager: Oh, no no! What are you saying?! You’ve helped us more than enough already! We can’t cause you any more trouble than this.
Petra: Wait!
Petra: Um... I... I don’t know if this is going to work but there’s something I want to try!
Petra then gathers everyone in an open field near the foot of the mountain.
The group watches Petra from behind, as she quietly concentrates her energy.
Petra: Spirit of fire, that which dwells in these lands... In the name of the celestial wind, I beg you to lend me your powers...
When Petra finishes casting her spell, a huge pillar of fire rises where she had pointed her staff.
Vyrn: Ack... The heat’s really hot. And we’re all the way back here!
Villager: What’s she doing, burning a fire in a place like this?
Petra: I’m not done yet...
Petra: Spirit of wind... that which dwells in these lands... In the name of... the celestial wind, I beg you... to lend me your powers...!!!
A gust of wind begins to twirl where Petra pointed her staff.
With the flurry of wind blowing in all directions, the pillar of fire gains even more force as it turns the mountainside a bright red.
Lyria: Amazing...! Petra’s controlling two spells at once!
Petra: Gh... Hold on, just a little... more...
The air around them begins to warm up quickly as the hot winds spiraled around.
The rising air rushes up the mountainside. Before they knew it, a rain cloud had begun to form near the peak of the mountain.
Villager: Wow... How is she doing that...?
A few moments later, large rain drops begin to fall from the skies.
Lyria: Wow! It’s rain! Rain!
Petra: Phew... Looks like it worked! I’m so glad.
Villager: She’s a goddess... Miss Petra... You are a goddess, reborn!!!
Petra: Wha?!
Villager: Because who else, other than a goddess, could make it rain?
Petra: N-no, actually... There’s a reason to this. The temperature difference between the surface and the air above-...
Villager: We don’t mind for the details! Come, come. We villagers would like to offer you, Miss Petra...
Villager: No... Goddess Petra, an offering of hospitality!
Petra: Ahh, no no, I said... I mean... Vyrn, Lyria! Help me!
Petra is taken away by the villagers.
Lyria: Hehe... Quite the humble and cute goddess she is.
Vyrn: Yeah. But if she has such great powers, she should be more proud of it, don’t you think?
Lyria: But then, that wouldn’t be Petra.
Lyria: Right? (Captain)?
(Captain) smiles back at Lyria.
Petra: Captain! P-please come with me!
Petra whines for help with a slightly cracked voice. (Captain) and the group rush after Petra to join her.
The blessed rain hydrates the dried village. Later that night, a festivity was held to honor Petra. And as expected, it lasted the entire night.
