In general, the best way to use your plus bonuses when starting out is to identify what you use across multiple grids and consolidate all of your +1s onto that item until it hits +99. Common targets tend to be a {{Itm|Bahamut Dagger}} for weapon pluses and {{Itm|Anat}} for summons. Once you get these out of the way, plus bonus usage is entirely up to the user as it takes quite a while to amass enough bonuses to make a notable impact on your grid.

Sometimes, weapons or summons will come with a +1 on it. This adds bonus ATK and HP to whatever has it. The bonus can be transferred by either using it directly as upgrade fodder, or by resetting bonuses. The maximum bonus is +99 for weapons and summons and +300 for characters. The bonus can even be applied to weapons, summons or characters already at their current level cap.

Bonus values

Equipment and characters with bonuses grant extra stat boosts for each plus symbol.

  • Weapons and Summons
+5 ATK and +1 HP for each plus symbol.
  • Characters:
+3 ATK and +1 HP for each plus symbol.

Farming Bonuses

All draws have a chance of yielding a +1 bonus, which is a major reason it is recommended to perform all 100 rupie draws each day. Occasionally, the current draw promotion will cause all Premium Draws to come with a +1. This can be a major source of bonuses if you are willing to spend money and/or forgo increased Rarity SSR.png rates from Premium Gala to draw during these promotions.

High Level raids also have a chance to drop Mirage Munitions (up to +3) directly.

Arcarum Mimics have a chance to drop Mirage Makers (up to +3) directly.

Resetting Bonuses

If a +1 comes on an item that you do not want to lose, you can reset its bonuses, which creates a fodder item with the +1 that can be used in upgrade. Mirage Munitions are weapon fodder, Mirage Makers are summon fodder.

From the Inventory screen, select the weapon or summon with the bonuses, then scroll down to the buttons at the bottom. Click Reset Bonus, which will display a confirmation screen with the cost in Rupies to reset the bonus. The cost is 500 Rupies for a +1 bonus, and 300 + (300 * current bonus value) Rupies if the current bonus is greater than 1. The mirage item is then sent to your crate.

If you reduce a weapon or a summon with bonus, the bonus will be transfered to the Crate.

Excess Bonuses

If you use a plus bonus item on a weapon or summon that already has a high value of bonuses already, you may exceed the limit of 99. Excess bonuses will not be lost, and will be sent to your crate instead.

Plus Bonus Strategy

The most efficient way to use plus bonuses is to apply them to weapons and summons you will use across multiple grids and target them for upgrading first until they are +99. Once that is done, target weapons and summons that may be element-specific, but will almost always appear in current and future grids for that element. For weapons, common candidates for plus bonuses include Bahamut Weapons, Atma Weapons, Seraphic Weapons and Cosmos Weapons, along with specialty weapons such as Weapon s 1040415800.jpg Scales of Dominion. Npc s 3030182000 01.jpg Lyria (Event) is the character most likely to see use across multiple elements and parties - it may be worth boosting her as well.

Common summon targets for plus bonuses include Summon s 2040006000.jpg Anat (until you acquire a stronger ATK-boosting summon), SSR Omega Summons, and Arcarum Summons. Further usage of plus bonuses is up to player preferences and future needs. Possible paths include putting them on the element that will next have a Unite and Fight in its favor, the element superior to that element to ease grinding for the UnF, the strongest element to help with racing for honors in raids, or just on a favorite character.
