So is the scene 3 of Agielba wrong too?

AdlaiT (talkcontribs)

That switch has nothing to do with the URL. When a cutscene ends, it automatically goes to the last page you visited the cutscene from. You're visiting a previous ToT cutscene first, then changing the URL. When you visit the a cutscene from a wiki link, it goes back to the wiki. Makes sense?

For whatever reason, that particular number can be almost any value in the URL. However, it's not the "correct" URL when when compared to visiting the page properly from within the game. It will be the same value as the current cutscene (1, 2, or 3). We don't know if that value will affect anything, but for accuracy and ensuring the links work after the event ends, it should match the cutscene.

All of this was already discussed on Discord.

Seyren007 (talkcontribs)

So is the link wrong because I was playing the scene from my inventory page?

Seyren007 (talkcontribs)

Also for some reason, I cannot access Anre's treat or trick episode and I don't even have Anre. Is this normal?

AdlaiT (talkcontribs)

The link was wrong because it's not what the game would normally direct you to under normal circumstances. If your account was two or more years old, you'd have the option to select any previous year's or current year's cutscene from a list after clicking the pumpkin icon.

It was very obvious from your edits that you were changing the URL to see cutscenes you couldn't normally see because of your account age.

AdlaiT (talkcontribs)

You can't view cutscenes for characters you don't own. It says so at the top of the page.

Seyren007 (talkcontribs)

Ohh! I just got it. The solution for me is to play it in a new tab so that it will not bounce back to the whatever scene I switched the episode.

AdlaiT (talkcontribs)

You're very annoying.

Seyren007 (talkcontribs)

Is my solution still wrong?

AdlaiT (talkcontribs)

What solution? I already told you, when a cutscene ends, it automatically goes to the last page you visited the cutscene from.

It's the same thing as clicking the Back button on your browser. If you open the cutscene in a new tab, it has no Back history to escape to.

Seyren007 (talkcontribs)

So should I play the cutscene on the wiki page of that associated character?

AdlaiT (talkcontribs)

Why does it matter?

Seyren007 (talkcontribs)

Well I would like to contribute without giving you an another headache that is why I am asking you on what is wrong in what I am doing. That would make me feel better because I feel bad when I aggravated people when I'm just trying to help. And right now, I'm confused because I somehow get your points, I somehow not. So, this is Lilele's 3rd Trick or Treat scene that I will try to contribute, or not. Am I doing it right? I will play it in a new tab, or am I doing it wrong again? Is the link right or wrong again? http://game.granbluefantasy.jp/#quest/season_event_scene/scene_s3_halloween_3048/0/2004/3040066000/2/5

AdlaiT (talkcontribs)

Answer this question: Which year of Halloween cutscenes could your normally see before the ToT event ended? First year only or second year?

Seyren007 (talkcontribs)

First year.

Seyren007 (talkcontribs)

So are you saying that I shouldn't contribute on Scene #3 because if I post the link, it will not ended up on that particular scene and that would make the link wrong?

AdlaiT (talkcontribs)

And that is where I need to fill in the gap.

When you have a 2nd year or older account, you can view the 2nd year cutscene as well as any previous year's cutscenes. The official 2nd year URL for that cutscene that the game sends you to would look like this for Lilele http://game.granbluefantasy.jp/#quest/season_event_scene/scene_s2_halloween_3048/0/2004/3040066000/2/5

The official 3rd year cutscene URL would be: http://game.granbluefantasy.jp/#quest/season_event_scene/scene_s3_halloween_3048/0/2004/3040066000/3/5

However, the second-to-last value in the URL denoted by # /3040066000/#/5 can be any number and it will still for whatever play that cutscene normally. We have no idea why it still works, but that's just how it is. However, to avoid any potential issues with these links in the future, we want to stay consistent with what the game is supposed to direct you to and the game always makes that # value consistent with the year's cutscene.

Is this a minor detail? Yes, it is, but we also want to avoid any future issues in case they change or fix it in the future.

Since you are a first year only account, it was obvious that you were only manipulating the URL, not actually viewing them naturally.

Seyren007 (talkcontribs)

Okay, I will not provide the link but I will provide the text. I understand that.

AdlaiT (talkcontribs)

You can still provide the link if you ensure the # value in the URL corresponds to the correct cutscene year (2 for s2, 3 for s3, etc.)
