Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 5: Recipe for a Bonito - Episode 3

Vira struggles to help Kaz prepare food in the kitchen. Tanya shows up, prompting Vira to begin waxing lyrical on her feelings for Katalina.

Lowain: Check out my carpaccio, bros!
Kaz: Ohoho! I didn't expect you to come up with something so highbrow! Nice presentation, too!
Lowain: Thanks! You eat with your eyes, too, I always say!
Elmott: Hey, old dude! What do you think of this?
Kaz: Now this is spectacular! You really hit the nail on the head with this one!
Everyone is in high spirits as they help Kaz prepare food in the beach house kitchen.
Vira: Argh...
Vira: I didn't realize fish was so difficult to prepare...
Vira: Back in Albion, I barely even saw fish...
Vira: But that doesn't mean I'm going to throw in the towel!
Tanya: Vira, are you helping Kaz, too?
Vira: Tanya? What brings you here?
Tanya: I thought I'd get everything ready for tomorrow...
Vira: I see. Just so you know, I've got my hands full right now.
Tanya: Yeah... You're preparing fish, huh? Wow, is there anything you can't do, Vira?
Vira: Heheh. And it looks like I'm doing a good job?
Tanya: Well, there are so many islands where you can't get fish at all, so what you're doing is pretty incredible, if you ask me.
Vira: I'm not sure that's going to matter much when I feed this to Katalina, unfortunately.
Tanya: You're making this for Katalina?
Vira: Who else? The sole purpose of my existence is to please Katalina!
Tanya: Oh, right. You're head over heels for her, aren't you, Vira?
Vira: Those words hardly even begin to explain how I feel about her.
Vira: I could spend day and night for all eternity searching for the right words to express my feelings, and even that would not be enough.
Tanya: Um, okay...
Vira: Which is to say, the depth of my love cannot be expressed in mere words.
Vira: And so I am spurred towards new means and forms of expression.
Vira: Oh, Katalina. Just thinking of you is enough to—
Tanya: Er, Vira?
Vira: Ah, yes! How could I be so blind? My love for Katalina is enough to overcome any challenge!
Tanya: What should I say? I don't get what Vira's talking about at all.
Tanya: I guess it's just me being bad at conversation again...
Io: Hi Tanya! I thought I'd help get everything ready for tomorrow, and... Is something wrong?
Tanya: Well, it's just... I can't really work out what Vira is trying to say.
Vira: Oh, my dearest Katalina. I must create food perfect enough to be worthy of you...
Io: ...!
Tanya: What's she saying, Io?
Io: You don't need to know!
Io: In fact, it's best you don't!
Tanya: Seriously?
Vira: Tee hee! Tee hee hee hee! Oh, Katalina...
