Created by the Stars, Loved by the Skies - The Sky's Future - Chapter 2: Singularity's Choice - Episode 1

The crew is elated to learn from Zooey that (Captain) and Lyria can come back to life due to a malfunction with the Cosmos system. Meanwhile, Yuni asks the two whether they would like to continue living.

Leaving the primals to battle the surrogates, the rest of the crew pursues Geo at full throttle.
Vyrn: We're gettin' (Captain) back no matter what!
Gran is the Main Character

Geo: How irritating! Do those mortals really think they can catch up to me in an airship?
Djeeta is the Main Character

Geo: How irritating! Do those mortals really think they can catch up to me in an airship?
Io: What do we do... If he were to drop (Captain) into the bottom of the skies right now...
Rosetta: At this distance, we can catch the captain if he lets go.
Rosetta: Though I'm sure Geo's aware of that as well.
Io: That's a relief... We still have to catch up though.
Eugen: Have faith in the Grandcypher and our helmsman.
Eugen: I've gotta ask, Zooey.
Eugen: You said it might be possible to reverse what's happened to (Captain). Got any more info on that?
Zooey: Yes... Although I can't be certain...
Zooey: A defect seems to have emerged in the arbitration system.
Io: What's that supposed to mean? Is it broken?
Zooey: Cosmos was hidden away in the Astral Realm to ensure that the power of arbitration remains free of interference from the Sky Realm.
Zooey: So normally, I would not even be able to speak of her.
Vyrn: Explains why you didn't say anything at the old battlegrounds.
Zooey: It's a difficult sensation to put into words...
Zooey: But we surrogates are normally unable to go against the restrictions Cosmos placed on us.
Zooey: It is a sort of enchantment—or a curse, if you will—that holds far greater power than my will alone.
Katalina: Except you just told us everything now.
Zooey: Yes, that's why it's strange.
Zooey: Could a malfunction in the system have caused the other surrogate to destroy the singularity?
Zooey: Or did the singularity's destruction itself lead to the breakdown?
Zooey: Whatever the case, this is an abnormal situation.
Zooey: Which is why I believe a reversal is possible.
Vyrn: It's almost too good to be true! Can we really make it in time?
The crew find themselves roused by this glimmer of hope.
Io: So what exactly do we do to get (Captain) and Lyria back?
Zooey: Please calm yourself. I wish to help too, but...
Eugen: But you're not sure how it works either, eh?
Zooey: At the very least, Geo wanting to discard (Captain)'s body further supports my theory.
Rosetta: Makes sense... If (Captain) is truly dead, Geo would have no reason to take the body.
Zooey: Yes... That's why...
Zooey: I will not concede until (Captain) is with us once more!
Zooey: (This wish stems from a more personal place.)
Zooey: (Though it may contradict my existence as Cosmos's surrogate, I have no doubts!)
Zooey quietly clenches her fists, her heart filled with resolve.
Io: First step for us is to get (Captain)'s body back from Geo!
Vyrn: Darn! We've gotta catch up somehow!
Lyria: What can we do to help Cosmos?
Yuni: ...
Yuni: Do you remember what I said before you embarked on your journey across the river of time?
Lyria: Meaning... there's still a way back?
Yuni: If that is what you wish.
Lyria: Then...
Yuni: But for that to happen, there is something you must know first.
Yuni looks straight into (Captain)'s eyes.
Yuni: From a mortal's perspective, it's going to feel like an exceptionally long journey...
Yuni: But I want you to learn, think, and choose for yourself.
Yuni: The meaning of life for those who live between the skies and the stars.
Lyria: You said you wanted to us to learn, think, and choose for ourselves.
Yuni: Mm-hm.
Lyria: You gave us an inside look at the War and events that happened between people and primals after that.
Lyria: Though I'm still not sure we can really say we know Cosmos well...
Lyria: One thing I can say for sure...
Lyria: Is that no matter how painful it was, she cast her emotions aside to fulfill her duty of the Sky Realm's arbitration.
Lyria: That couldn't have been easy.
Yuni: Yes... Thank you.
Lyria: Well, what exactly are we supposed to choose?
Yuni: Will you remain dead? Or would you prefer to continue living?
Lyria: Huh?
Lyria and (Captain) trade confused glances.
