Created by the Stars, Loved by the Skies - The Sky's Future - Chapter 2: Singularity's Choice - Episode 3

After Tiamat swoops in to save (Captain), an enraged Geo reveals that the singularity must die if Cosmos is to survive. He believes that without the power of arbitration, all primals are doomed.

Rackam pushes the Grandcypher to its limits but still has trouble closing the distance between Geo.
Io's Voice: Rackam! Any chance you can ramp up the speed just a tiny bit more?
Rackam: I'm already going as fast as I can, Io!
Io's Voice: Crud... If only I could get a little closer!
Rackam: We're gonna need to find an opening somehow!
Zooey: If I take flight from here, I can intercept him on my own!
Rosetta: It's too risky.
Rosetta: Especially when you consider that you'll have to protect a defenseless (Captain) while you're at it.
Zooey: Rgh...
Eugen: Same reason we can't just blindly fire away.
The crew grit their teeth at their impuissance.
Geo: Tch, talk about tenacious... Too bad you're not getting the singularity back—

Tiamat: ...!
Geo: Whoa!
Io: Look! It's Tiamat!
Katalina: She's retrieved (Captain)'s body for us!
Eugen: Nice job catchin' Geo off guard!
Tiamat: ...
Tiamat: ...
Tiamat lands on the Grandcypher's deck with (Captain) in her arms.
Io: Wowie! Thanks a ton, Tiamat!
Tiamat: ...
Geo: Damn!
Rosetta: It's not over yet! Stay alert, everyone!
Geo: You side with mortals too despite being a primal beast?
Tiamat: ...
Geo: Why...
Rosetta: Primals she and I may be, but (Captain) is our dear friend.
Rosetta: We've eked out a life for ourselves in the Sky Realm.
Geo: You're fooling yourselves if you think that'll actually last.
Rosetta: I pity you...
Zooey gently brushes Rosetta aside and steps forward.
Zooey: Listen, Geo. I'm sure you can sense it just as much as I do—something's happened to Cosmos.
Zooey: How much do you know about the situation?
Geo: Not much more than you, I'd say.
Io: So you don't know how to revive (Captain) either?
Geo: Bwahaha! Now that's a dumb question if I ever heard one! Guess that's to be expected from a mortal who's friends with (Captain)!
Geo: I don't have a clue, and I wouldn't tell you in a million years even if I did.
Geo: There's no way I'm letting you bring the singularity back!
Vyrn: Geez, what's your problem! It's like you've got an axe to grind with (Captain)!
Vyrn: I could already tell you hated people when we last butted heads at that war-torn battlefield.
Vyrn: But you definitely weren't tryin' to make sure (Captain) bites the dust like you are now!
Geo: Do you even have to ask? Cosmos's arbitration changed everything!
Geo: Reversing that judgment would be a denial of her!
Geo: And what do you think happens to Cosmos in that situation?
Io: You tell us.
Zooey: ...
Geo: Zooey, I imagine you know.
Geo: Yet you'd still choose to revive the singularity anyway?
Eugen: What's he talking about, Zooey?
Hearing the voices of fellow crew members behind her, Zooey takes a resolute stance on the matter.
Zooey: Were I to—
Geo: Gah, who cares about you!
Geo: What I'm trying to get at is something much bigger!
Geo: Once Cosmos is gone, who's going to protect the primal beasts of this world?
Geo: Things are bad enough for us with Cosmos's power of arbitration.
Geo: Without it, we primals are as good as done for!
Zooey: Calm down, Geo! Primal beasts are not as frail as you may think!
Geo: Oh, shut it!
Geo: If that's true, then why did I even manifest in this world!
