Happy White Day! 2023 - Familial Bonds - Episode 4

As Agielba and Nene frolic in nature with their children, another group begins their day at the riverside...
Here, Lyria, Vyrn, Teena, and Erika have convinced (Captain), Aletheia, and Yngwie to spend the day fishing with them.
Yngwie: Well, you two, what's your gut say? Sensing any big 'uns?
Aletheia: Not at all.
  1. Same.

Choose: Same.

Aletheia: We've caught plenty of small fry, but something tells me that won't do.
Yngwie: Yeah, who would've thought the girls would ask for fish as a present.
Yngwie: Most girls their age want bracelets and necklaces from fancy shops, right?
Erika: Come on, Dad, we already went over this!
Erika: Fishing's all the rage among the younger members of the crew. Girls that can filet and cook fish are super popular right now!
Lyria: Th-that's right! It's a super-duper, mega popular trend! W-we promise!
Vyrn: Oi, Lyria, couldja maybe say that a little less awkwardly? We're gonna get caught...
Teena: And obviously being able to clean and prepare a bigger fish will make us even more popular, right? So c'mon, Dad! Pleeease!
Yngwie: Fair enough. Guess I should start taking this seriously, then.
Yngwie: Aletheia, doncha think a normal fishing trip would be kinda boring? Even if we are aiming for the big ones.
Aletheia: Are you suggesting some sort of competition?
Yngwie: Heh, I knew you'd catch on quickly.
Aletheia: Well, you've always been competitive, no matter how old you get.
Aletheia and Yngwie's friendship spans decades, and in their younger years, the two would often compete with each other.
Yngwie: I'm just making a suggestion. No need to take it seriously... Unless you want to.
Aletheia: Hm... All right. I was already planning on catching the biggest fish anyway.
Yngwie: Heh, you sly old fox.
Yngwie: How about you, (Captain)? Wanna piece of this action?
Not wanting to miss out on the fun, (Captain) excitedly nods in agreement.
Then, as if on cue, all three fishers quickly change out their bait and move to their respective fishing spots.
Yngwie: Oho! I can feel it... It's a big 'un!
Erika: You've got this, Dad! Show that fish what you're made of!
Aletheia: Hmph... Don't get cocky! I've got one on the line as well!
Teena: That's it, Dad! Just stay calm and reel it in, nice and slow!
  1. ...!

Choose: ...!

Vyrn: (Captain)? You've got one on the line too!
Lyria: Keep it up, (Captain)!
As their impromptu fishing competition reaches its climatic conclusion, the three fishers reel in their catches...
Aletheia: Hmm...
Yngwie: It's...
  1. A draw?

Choose: A draw?

Aletheia: I believe so. There are small differences between our catches, but nothing noteworthy.
Yngwie: No... Although it pains me to say, this is your win, Aletheia, (Captain).
Aletheia: Are you not satisfied with a tie?
Yngwie: That's not it. But if I'm being honest, I have asked Yodarha for some fishing tips beforehand.
Yngwie: So obviously I was at an advantage today. If those tips still resulted in a tie, I should be the one to bow out, don't you think?
Aletheia: Is that so?
Aletheia: Then I too must concede defeat for the same reason.
Yngwie: Wait, you went to Yodarha for help too?
Aletheia: Seems we had similar goals in mind.
Aletheia and Yngwie both let out a wry laugh before shrugging their shoulders.
Yngwie: Looks like it's (Captain)'s win, then.
But (Captain)'s long friendship with Yodarha meant the two of them have had many conversations about fishing...
So (Captain) instead explains that all three of them could be disqualified for the same thing.
Yngwie: Haha! Will you look at that! Then it's a tie after all!
Aletheia: Bahaha! It would seem so!
Teena: Hehe... Looks like they're having fun.
Vyrn: It sure does!
Erika: Hey, Dad! You were so cool back there!
Lyria: Great job, (Captain)!
And so, Lyria, Teena, Erika and Vyrn continue to warmly watch over an elated (Captain) and company.
