Like Peas in a Pod
As part of a job request, Seofon, (Captain), and company are clearing out a monster den inside a cave. Watching the captain fight a monster reminds Seofon of the Seven-Star Sword's plot to awaken (Captain)'s power. Seofon asks (Captain) to help him investigate the Revenant weapon's motives, to which (Captain) agrees on condition that the captain gets to train with Seofon.
(Captain) and company accept a job request to exterminate a monster holed up in a cave.
The hardy foe proves stronger than advertised, and the struggle stretches on for quite some time.
Seofon: It went in there, (Captain)!
Vyrn: Take it down, and we can call it a day!
Monster: Grooaar!
Monster: ...!
Seofon: Splendid! We should thank our lucky stars (Captain) is so dependable!
As (Captain) deals the finishing blow, the monster lets out a dying roar and collapses with a thud. Seofon makes his way slowly to the captain.
Seofon: This big beasty practically fills up the entire cave. That was a tight squeeze trying to get around it.
Seofon: No wonder it chose to take cover in here. Very strategic.
Vyrn: Easy for you to say. You could've pulled your weight a bit more back there.
Seofon: Whoops, was I slacking? I thought for sure I was giving it my all though.
Seofon: Hm, maybe you're right, and I put too much on (Captain)'s plate.
Lyria: Um, Seofon? You don't seem like your usual cheery self. Are you feeling under the weather?
Seofon: You guys are so perceptive it's scary. To answer your question, I'm fit as a fiddle, but I have to admit the Seven-Star Sword is distracting me a bit.
The legendary sword Seofon speaks of is said to harbor enough power to destroy the skies seven times over.
As a silver lining, the sword's discovery is responsible for bringing Seofon and (Captain) together.
Seofon: I'm just really glad (Captain) was the one who found it.
Seofon: Who knows what evils would've threatened the world if it had fallen into less scrupulous hands.
Vyrn: Brr... Talk about a nightmare.
Seofon: Watching (Captain) in action hits me right in the feels.
Seofon: Kinda makes me wonder what I've been doing with myself.
Lyria: What do you mean?
Seofon: I told you before the Seven-Star Sword wants to see (Captain) awaken further as a person, remember?
Seofon: Joining your crew was my way of satisfying my curiosity—to see where your experiences would take you.
Vyrn: Oh yeah, you did say something like that.
Seofon: But look how that turned out. I caved in to my own selfish desires and went ham with the sword...
Seofon: Causing such a massive headache for everyone was not my finest moment.
Vyrn: Yeah, you riled up a lot of people with that stunt.
Seofon: I feel terrible about it, you know. If it were any other group of people, they'd never trust me again.
Seofon: All the more reason why I have to show everyone how sorry I am.
Lyria: How will you do that?
Seofon: That sword is way too dangerous to leave to its own devices, yeah? It could run amok again!
Seofon: On the other hand, its power is undeniable. I'm sure it'll be indispensable on (Captain)'s journey.
Vyrn: Wow, if the sword's got Seofon's seal of approval, then it's gotta be powerful.
Seofon: There's something else it said that stuck with me.
Seofon thinks back to a conversation he had with the Revenant weapon.
Seofon: Seven-Star Sword... What are you thinking right now?
Seven-Star Sword: I seek the strong. To be wielded by ever stronger hands.
Lyria: Why is it looking for someone like that?
Seofon: Unfortunately, it kept its big yap shut before getting into the nitty-gritty. Wait, does it even have a yap?
Seofon: Anyway, I'd like you to help me investigate the sword, (Captain).
Seofon: I firmly believe we need to uncover a way to wield the sword safely and to its utmost potential!
Seofon: Fool me once, shame on me. But in the super-duper low chance I'm compromised again by the sword, I know you'll be there to knock the sense back into me!
Vyrn: Hm... I can see the upside, but you're pushin' this plan pretty hard. What are you not tellin' us?
Seofon: Oof... Nothing gets past you guys...
Seofon: It's kind of sad that there's a blade the Star Sword Sovereign can't handle, and I'd love to rectify that somehow...
Vyrn: Gee, why am I not surprised?
Seofon: Wait, wait, wait! I'm also doing this for (Captain) though! No foolin'! Eternal's honor!
Seofon: I knew you'd see it my way, (Captain)!
Seofon: Ack! Are you still steamed about what happened back then?
Vyrn: Hehe, that's just (Captain)'s idea of a joke.
Seofon: Is that a fact? Boy, I was this close to bawling my eyes out!
Seofon: Thanks a bunch, (Captain).

Seofon: Now the problem is figuring out the best way to study the sword—
Seofon scratches his head, completely oblivious to the giant shadow rushing toward his exposed back.
Monster: Grooaar!
Vyrn: Watch out!
The monster they thought they'd defeated suddenly gets a second wind and charges at Seofon.
Seofon: Hah!
Monster: ...!
Lyria: Wow!
Vyrn: Whoa... He spun around and delivered a KO in a split second...
Seofon turns back toward (Captain) before the dead monster even hits the ground.
Seofon: Okeydokey, (Captain). I hope you're ready to put your detective hat on and get to the bottom of the Seven-Star Sword mystery.
Vyrn: Wait, aren't you forgetting something!
Seofon: Hm? Am I? Oh, you mean that monster?
Seofon: Eh, I had a feeling it'd be getting up again. Figured I'd pretend to be unaware and leave myself open as a juicy target.
Vyrn: Using yourself as bait, huh? Now I've heard everything...
Seofon: We can't say we properly finished the job if monster attacks pick up again after we leave this island.
Watching Seofon defeat the powerful foe as if he were scratching an itch gives (Captain) an idea.
Choose: I want you to train me.
Seofon: Oh? Are you sure about that?
Vyrn: Hey, that's a great idea!
Lyria: Yes! Seofon's fighting skills are amazing!
Choose: I have a favor to ask too.
Vyrn: Oh, are you thinkin' what I'm thinkin'? It's only fair since we're in this Seven-Star Sword thing together!
Seofon: What are you two talking about?
Vyrn: You should show (Captain) some of your sword techniques!
Seofon: Train with (Captain), huh?

Seofon: Sounds like a good trade if I do say so myself!
Seofon: All right! Let's get to work, (Captain)!
(Captain) and a grinning Seofon bump fists.
With the promise of sword training penciled in (Captain)'s agenda, the crew begin their investigation into the Seven-Star Sword's true nature.
