The Time a 37-Year-Old Former Imperial Soldier Got His Life in Order by Awakening to the Greatness That Is Saunas - Chapter 4: Cerulean Spa 2 - Episode 4

Deliford speaks of abandoning his dream to go to Estalucia, but Percival encourages him to keep at it—an exchange that provides Lunalu with much inspiration for her latest work. When Deliford gets them drinks, he brings back some Handsome Gorilla EX and chugs some—only to go ape-like with Lunalu.

Lunalu, Deliford, and Percival move to the common room, set up in a corner of the relaxation area.
Percival: I'm impressed that you've kept up your drawing all this time.
Lunalu: Well, that's just the bare minimum required if I want to be known for storybooks... But I need to do more.
Deliford: Being an artist can't be easy. Seeing you try so hard to achieve your dreams makes you appear so incredibly dazzling in my eyes.
Lunalu: ...
Deliford: Hm? Have I said something improper?
Lunalu: No, it's just... I was always under the impression that you weren't fond of dreamers.
Deliford: Why, that's not true! I'll admit I certainly am a very practical person, but I have no intention of denying the youth their dreams.
Deliford: Actually... Because I gave up my own dreams at a young age, there may be a part of me that envies youngsters in pursuit of their dreams.
Curious as to what might have happened to Deliford in his youth, Percival speaks in a soft tone.
Percival: You gave up your dream back in the day? Tell us about it.
Deliford: Like (Captain), I yearned to one day travel to Estalucia, Island of the Astrals.
Percival: Uh-huh... I suppose regretting the past wouldn't do you much good now.
Percival: But you can still fulfill that dream alongside (Captain), can you not?
Deliford: Well...
Deliford stutters, unsure how to respond to such a frank question.
Percival: It's all right; you don't have to answer that.
Percival: But since I asked about your dream, I'd like you to hear mine out as well.
Percival: I wish to create the ideal country.
Percival: It may seem an impossibly grand dream, but I believe it to be within my reach.
Percival: Largely because I have (Captain)'s crew on my side.
Percival: Anything I cannot do alone becomes possible with the help of vassals—or rather, my friends.
Percival: You too, are not alone.
Percival: Do you not have friends you value above all else?
Deliford: ...
Lunalu: (Hooweeee! A weak-willed older man getting encouragement from an assertive younger man!)
Lunalu: (I-is this an epiphany I'm having? What is this unfolding before my very eyes?)
Deliford: You're right, Percival. I certainly am not alone.
Deliford: Perhaps there's something for me to accomplish with the crew yet.
Percival: I'm glad you see things that way.
Deliford: Thank you, Percival.
Percival: No, it's Lunalu you should thank for giving us the opportunity to have this talk in the first place.
Deliford: Indeed. Thank you, Lunalu.
Lunalu: Teehee... Hoohahaa...
Deliford: Lunalu?
Lunalu: Cough! Ahem... It's nothing!
Lunalu: And no worries—all I did was sit here and listen anyway!
Lunalu: Hearing you two talk has me drowning in inspiration, so much so that I'm almost foaming at the mouth!
Deliford: Ah, my apologies... We haven't been able to hear you out yet!
Percival: How rude of us. I'm going to tell (Captain) that we'll be a bit late.
Percival: Can we resume the conversation when I return?
Lunalu: Uh, sure! Of course!
Percival: Okay, I'll be right back.
Percival takes a short break from the common room.
Lunalu: Hrgh... Phew!
Deliford: L-Lunalu! Are you feeling unwell?
Deliford is surprised to see the artist suddenly slump over the table.
Lunalu: I'm just letting my nerves calm down. There's nothing to worry about...
Thinking of how he can help, Deliford rises from his seat.
Deliford: I believe they have a drink corner here. Let me get us some refreshments.
Lunalu: I'll come with you.
Deliford: No... It's better that you rest up.
Deliford: You listened attentively as I spoke of my childhood dream, so consider this a token of my appreciation.
Lunalu: Thanks...
Deliford: I won't be long.
Deliford returns shortly after with refreshments in hand.
Deliford: The drink corner was crowded, and I didn't wish to hold up the line, so I went with the vendor's recommendation.
Lunalu: What's this?
Deliford: Salted rice balls and Handsome Sports EX.
Lunalu: Handsome Sports EX? Never heard of that one before.
Deliford: It's a blend of a sports drink along with something else... The vendor said it's great as a post-sauna drink.
Deliford: Go on—help yourself.
Lunalu bites down on her salted rice ball.
Lunalu: Mm... Nom, nom... I love it already!
Deliford: It's made from the same water source used for the facilities here, which is of a premium quality!
Deliford: (Thank you, Vane. The meal ticket came in handy.)
Lunalu: Glug, glug... Phew! The fizzy sensation of this drink is really nice too!
Deliford: Goes nicely with the salt on the rice ball.
The two are pleased with their little snack.
Deliford: Seeing all the youngsters here made me self-conscious at first, but now I kind of like the place.
Lunalu: It was the same with me. Being surrounded by loving couples all over made me wonder if I'd come to the wrong place.
Deliford: I realize now that it all comes down to your mindset in the end.
Lunalu: Mm-hm... I learned that firsthand...
Lunalu: I mean, a place where you're legally allowed to ogle guys and girls in the sauna? It doesn't get any better than that!
Lunalu: Ohh... Ahh... Ohh-ahh...
Deliford: I'm sorry, Lunalu. I don't think I understood you.
Lunalu: Cough... Deliford, can you tell me where the name "Handsome Sports EX" comes from?
Deliford: Well, if I heard right... The "sports" part should be self-explanatory, while the "handsome" part seems to come from Handsome Gorilla EX.
Lunalu: Ohh-ahh... Ohh-ohh-ahh-ahh!
(I knew it!)
Deliford: Ohh... Ahh... Ohh-ahh-ahh-ooh-ooh!
(What's happening!)
As the two are overtaken by their primal instincts, Percival shows up, completely oblivious to the situation.
Percival: Sorry. It took me a while to find (Captain).
Deliford & Lunalu: Ohh! Ohh-ahh-ahh-ahh!
Percival: What in the world...
Deliford: Ohh-ahh-ahh! Oooh!
Lunalu: Ohh-ahh-ahh! Ohh-ahh-ooh-ahh!
Percival: I have no idea what you're saying, but worry not! I'll get you a doctor right away!
Percival: Sit tight until I get back!
Deliford: Ohh-ahh! Ohh-ahh-ahh-ohh-ahh! Ohh-ahh-aahh!
Lunalu: Ohh-ahh-ahh! Ohh-ahh-ohh-ahh-ahh!
Fortunately Percival returns before things get too out of hand.
Handsome Sports EX's effect wears off after a while, after which Deliford and Lunalu return to normal.
