Passionate Yet Purehearted
(Captain) saves a dancer named Anthuria from a group of thugs. She soon falls head over heels for (Captain) and asks to join the crew.
(Captain) and the crew return to town after finishing a recent assignment.
It's already getting late, however, sending our heroes in search of lodging for the evening.
Vyrn: What's with the crowd over there? Almost looks like a party from where I'm flying...
Lyria: You're right. And they're playing music too!
Lyria: Want to take a look, (Captain)?
At the center of the crowd is a dancing Erune girl with blistering, vivid red hair and a crimson dress.
Lyria: Wow, she's super pretty! It almost looks like she's a dancing, living flame...
Vyrn: Couldn't have said it better myself. No wonder she's got a crowd going!
Lyria: That was amazing. I totally lost track of time!
Vyrn: Right? I couldn't take my eyes off her.
Loud Voice: D-don't you dare!
Vyrn: Hey, did you hear that? Sounded like it came from really close by.
Vyrn: Let's go take a look!
The crew rushes ahead to find the Erune girl from earlier surrounded by a group of men.
???: Ow! Let go of my hand! You do not get to treat me like that!
Lyria: S-she's the dancer from earlier...
Vyrn: Yep! And she needs our help!
Ruffian: Whaddaya want? Get outta here!
Ruffian: Urgh...
Vyrn: You okay, Fire Girl?

(Captain) nods, firmly gripping the Erune girl by the hand as they flee the area.

Anthuria: Wheeze... Y-yeah, I'm fine. But more importantly...
Anthuria: Hee hee... I've never had someone grip my hand with such strength and conviction before.

Anthuria draws closer and whispers softly into (Captain)'s ear.

(Captain) is shocked back to reality, releasing Anthuria's hand.

While conflicted about how best to get (Captain)'s attention, Anthuria receives a request to dance in the capital. Realizing this may be just the chance she needs to capture (Captain)'s heart, she accepts the request.
Some time has passed since Anthuria joined (Captain)'s crew.
One day Vyrn finds her sitting on the deck of the ship with a concerned expression on her face.
Vyrn: You all right, Fire Girl? You look like you've got somethin' on your mind.
Anthuria: Oh, it's nothing that serious. I'm just... well... It's about (Captain).
Anthuria: Sigh... There has to be something I can do to get (Captain) to pay more attention to me.
Vyrn: So that's it, huh? No use worrying about that kind of thing.
Anthuria: It's only natural to want someone you can't stop thinking about to return the feeling, isn't it?
Anthuria: But (Captain) barely even looks at me.
Anthuria: I can't stop thinking about them, and yet...
Vyrn: Maybe you should stop acting so weird, then.
Vyrn: No matter how many times you try, you keep striking out.

Vyrn and company read over the letter.
Inside is a request for Anthuria to dance at a celebration in the capital.
Vyrn: Whoa, that sounds like an amazing request!
Anthuria: It does...
Vyrn: You don't exactly look happy about it. What's up?
Anthuria: The request itself makes me proud. Happy, even.
Anthuria: I just... don't want to go to the capital. Bad memories.
Vyrn: Bad memories?
Vyrn: Uh-oh. Did you have guys trying to marry you all the time?
Anthuria: I did. And to make matters worse, one of them was a noble.
Anthuria: So as you might expect, I don't really want to go back there.
Lyria: But it's such an important-sounding request! And I want to see you dance too!
Anthuria: I'm happy to hear that, but...
Anthuria is clearly conflicted about the situation. Vyrn gets close and whispers to her.
Vyrn:
Vyrn: This sounds like the chance of a lifetime, Fire Girl!
Vyrn: I mean... Just imagine what'll happen when (Captain) sees you dancing up on that huge stage!
Anthuria: Gasp! You're right...
Anthuria: Okay. I'll accept the request.
Lyria: Hee hee... I can't wait to see you perform!
Lyria: Why did you change your mind, though? You sounded so disinterested a minute ago.
Anthuria: When I saw the looks on your faces, I couldn't very well let you down, could I?
Lyria: Hee hee... Thanks so much! I'm really looking forward to the event!
Anthuria: Likewise. (Captain)'s going to be completely infatuated with me after this...
Anthuria: If they suddenly decided to approach me, though, I... I... Urgh...
Anthuria: T-that's not going to happen. And if it did, well... that's fine too...

Anthuria notices a swarm of monsters in the skies nearby.
To make matters worse, they seem to be on a collision course with the ship.

Vyrn: A-are you thinking straight, Fire Girl?
Anthuria: I want to get there as soon as possible and make sure my performance is perfect. So don't bother evading them.

After arriving in town, Anthuria seeks solace from bad memories by physically approaching (Captain), but quickly becomes embarrassed and runs off. When (Captain) and the crew find her again, they have to save her from a gang of thugs.
(Captain) and company defeat the monsters and head to the town where the stage is located.
Anthuria: Sigh...
Vyrn: Where'd all that positivity from earlier go, Fire Girl?
Anthuria: All the bad memories from my time in the capital have come flooding back.
Vyrn: We'll be here to make sure nothing bad happens to you, so turn that frown upside down!
Anthuria: Thanks, Vyrn. That makes me feel a little better.
Anthuria: Say, (Captain)... Stay by my side today, will you?
Anthuria: Without you there to calm me, my anxiety's going to be too much to bear...
Anthuria draws close to (Captain).
Lyria: Uh...
Anthuria: Can I stay with you like this? It puts my mind at ease...
Anthuria: Hee hee... Hey. While we're at it, let me take your hand. Or maybe your arm would be better?

A raging torrent of curious gazes swirls around her.
Anthuria slowly begins to realize what she's done.

Her entire body turns red in embarrassment.

Vyrn: H-hold on! Where are you going, Fire Girl?
Lyria: W-wait up, Anthuria!
Anthuria: ...
Vyrn: Huff... huff... We finally found you, Fire Girl. Wait. What's going on here?
(Captain) and company finds Anthuria surrounded by a group of men.
Anthuria: Don't you dare ask me that.
Man 1: You chose a good time to show up.
Man 1: Hey, Anthuria. If you don't accept my proposal, I'm gonna sic these guys on those kids.
The man nods to the thugs behind him.
Man 1: Don't want to see your friends get hurt? Then do what I say.
Anthuria: I refuse. Those goons of yours can't beat (Captain) anyway.
Man 1: Is that so? I'll just have to ask you again after I send them to the hospital, then.
Anthuria: Sigh... I've got a schedule to keep. Let's get this over with quick, (Captain).
I Dance Only for You: Scene 3
Anthuria and the crew leave the tenacious thugs defeated and rush toward the stage, fighting off Anthuria's potential suitors along the way. When they arrive at their destination, however, the crew finds a group of thugs lying in wait.
Man 1: I'm not done yet... I'm not gonna give up until I make you mine, Anthuria!
Vyrn: Wow... You're still standing?
(Captain) and company finish defeating all the thugs.
However the man who originally proposed marriage to Anthuria refuses to stay down. Perhaps powered by his sheer love for her, he lunges at the crew one last time.
Anthuria: How many times do I have to tell you? I'm not interested!
Man 1: Urgh...
Vyrn: You sure are popular, Fire Girl.
Anthuria: Yeah, and that means I have to deal with sleazeballs like him all the time.
Anthuria: If I'm going to have people trying to marry me, I wish it'd be (Captain)...
Anthuria: Hey (Captain)... Do you feel the same way about me as they do?
Anthuria: Tell me, won't you?
Lyria: Grr! Let's hurry up and get to the stage, already!

Man 3: Which way did Anthuria go?
Vyrn: Geez, it's cramped in here. Move a little further up, Fire Girl!
Anthuria: I can't! It's too tight... Hngh!
Vyrn: Shh! You gotta keep it down!
Anthuria: Ngh... I know... but (Captain)'s hand is...
Anthuria: Augh... (Captain), your hand, it's...
Anthuria: Eep! K-keep your hand still! I'm... I'm ticklish there, so... Hngh!

Having driven away the thugs, the crew finally reaches the stage where Anthuria is set to perform. True to her word, Anthuria dances like a bewitching inferno—and all for the sake of (Captain).
Anthuria: That should stem the tide for now.
(Captain), Anthuria, and company drive away the suitors-in-waiting outside the dance hall and head inside.
Anthuria: Let's make our way to the stage.
Lyria: Wait, Anthuria! Your hair got all messed up in the fight! You should straighten it up a little before you perform.
Anthuria: Huh. You're right. Doesn't look like there are any mirrors in here, though.
Anthuria: Hee hee...
