Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Opening

The fisherman Kaz saves Jin, who has collapsed from hunger. Hearing of the deliciousness of the bonito, Jin decides to try and catch it in place of Kaz, who is in poor physical health.

Summer has come to Auguste, and the shore is crowded with tourists eager for a dip in the ocean.
Standing apart from the masses on the shoreline is a lone samurai.
Jin: So this is the sea that I've heard so much about.
Jin: Magnificence such as this demands to be witnessed.
Any version of Sara (Light) is a crew member

Jin: Perhaps even Sara's spirits would be eased by the sight.
Jin: However...
Jin: I'm famished. It took longer than anticipated to travel here from the last island, after all.
Jin: One cannot fight on an empty stomach. I must stop and eat somewhere!
Jin: This restaurant's full, too, and the street vendors outside all have long lines.
Jin: I grow weak. If this continues much longer, I'm finished!
Jin: Food... I need... food...
Unsteady on his feet, Jin arrives at a rocky area with few people.
Jin: Urgh...
Jin collapses on the beach from hunger.
???: Huh, what's a person doing in a place like this? Hey, are you all right?
Jin: Hrrgrah?
Jin: Where in the sky am I?
???: Finally come to your senses, eh? You had me worried sick!
Jin: And who might you be, good sir?
Kaz: Me? I'm just a humble fisherman. The name's Kaz.
Kaz: I found you collapsed on the beach with heat stroke, so I brought you back to my home.
Jin: You saved me? My sincerest apologies for the trouble!
Jin bows deeply before Kaz.
Kaz: I don't suppose you're hungry?
Jin: Terribly sorry! I couldn't possibly impose on you any further!
Kaz: Bwahaha! Hunger's just proof you're feeling better! Rest a spell. I'll be right back.
Kaz leaves the room where Jin is resting and comes back carrying a tray full of food.
Kaz: Sorry to say, but this is all I've got.
Jin: No need to apologize. I didn't mean to impose.
Kaz: Bwahaha! Stop making such a fuss and eat up already!
Jin: You have my thanks.
Jin: Munch... munch...
Jin: Delicious! What manner of cuisine is this?
Kaz: I'd hardly call it cuisine. Just some leftover fish on rice with a little fish stock.
Jin: Not at all. This is the first time I've had the privilege of tasting such a delicacy!
Kaz: I'm glad to hear you like it! It's not very often someone compliments my cooking!
Kaz: It really isn't anything special though. This time of year, what you really want to try is bonito!
Jin: Bonito, you say? You mean to tell me there's a fish even more delicious than this one?
Kaz: They don't even compare! Word around these parts is a cut of bonito's enough to bring a man back from the dead.
Jin: Oh my.
Kaz: But fishermen capable of catching bonito are few and far between these days.
Kaz: I would like to be the one catching it, but my time is running out. No, I shouldn't be pessimistic.
Kaz: By the way, did you want seconds? There's plenty left still!
Jin: Much appreciated. I humbly request one more bowl, if you will.
Kaz: Just one more? Don't be bashful, now! You need all the energy you can get at your age!
Kaz takes an empty bowl in his hand and heads for the kitchen with a bright smile on his face. But then...
Kaz: Aargh...
Kaz suddenly staggers and falls to his knees.
Jin: Kaz! What's wrong?
Kaz: It's nothing, just took a little tumble. Hardly worth worrying about... Cough!
Kaz: Hack, cough!
Jin: I beg to differ! I'll call a doctor!
Jin places Kaz in his bed and runs to the nearby clinic.
After the doctor finishes treating him, Kaz's condition quickly improves.
Jin: Kaz, according to the doctor, all those years of fishing have come at grave cost to your body.
Jin: You grow weak. The more you push yourself, the worse the attacks will become.
Jin: Which means...
Kaz: Are you telling me I have to give up my dream of catching a bonito?
Kaz: I know there's no way to fight getting old, but fishing is my life.
Jin: Kaz...
Kaz: I really wanted to catch a bonito for you, Jin.
Jin: ...
Jin: Kaz, I humbly request the chance to become your apprentice!
Kaz: My... apprentice?
Jin: I would like to try and catch the great bonito in your stead!
Kaz: ...!
Jin has accepted the challenge of capturing a bonito.
Will his efforts to catch such a mighty denizen of the sea end in stunning success... or bitter failure?

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 1: A Skyfaring Vacation - Episode 1

(Captain) and the crew receive a letter from Sierokarte informing them that she has opened a new shop in Auguste. They decide to take a small break to go congratulate her.

During their continued journey to find sky map pieces, (Captain) and the crew receive a letter from Sierokarte.
Vyrn: I wonder why she went out of her way to send a letter?
Katalina: It may be a particularly challenging job request. We should read it immediately.
Lyria: Let's see... It says Sierokarte's opened a new shop in Auguste!
Lyria: And... wow, she wants us to come celebrate the grand opening!
Io: A new shop in Auguste? Does that mean it's by the sea?
Eugen: Hold on, now. It's located on Venera Beach? That's one of the best spots in Auguste!
Eugen: Folks come from all over the Skydom just to visit.
Io: Really? It's just like Sierokarte to open a shop somewhere famous like that!
Lyria: We owe her for so much. Let's head over there and celebrate!
Katalina: Good idea, especially considering how busy we've been as of late.
Katalina: It would do you good to let your hair down for a bit, (Captain). A beach resort sounds like just the place to do it.
Vyrn: Yeah, Katalina's right! C'mon, (Captain), let's get to Auguste!
Any version of Tanya (SSR) is a crew member

Tanya: The sea, huh. Guess it'll be my first time.
Io: Ooh, then that means I can teach you how to have fun at the beach!
Tanya: Is that okay? Heh... Thanks, Io.
Lyria: I wonder what sort of place Sierokarte's new shop is like?
And with that, the crew steers the ship toward Auguste.

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 1: A Skyfaring Vacation - Episode 2

(Captain) and the crew arrive at Sierokarte's new beach house, and agree to help out when it's short-staffed.

(Captain) and the crew head to the location designated in the letter, and arrive at Sierokarte's new shop.
Lyria: Wow, no walls? What a strange shop!
Sierokarte: Feels spacious, right? I call it the beach house! The perfect place to enjoy good food and relax!
Io: Congratulations on opening a new shop, Sierokarte!
Sierokarte: Why, thank you! I'm happy you came all the way here just to celebrate!
Eugen: It's not much, but we got you this as a token of our thanks.
Sierokarte: Oh, my, my! You've gone to so much trouble!
Vira: Katalina, you must be tired after being on the airship for so long. Care to take a break?
Katalina: Thank you, Vira.
Vira: Hee hee... Allow me to carry your things.
No version of Vira (Grand) in crew

Vyrn: Vira! What are you doing here?
Lyria: Hello, Miss Vira! Have you come to celebrate the opening, too?
Vira: Partly, yes.
Vira: I heard Katalina would be attending, so I thought... well, why not?
Vyrn: How'd you know she'd be here?
Vira: Now, now! Curiosity killed the lizard!
Sierokarte: By the way, there's something I'd like to discuss with you.
Io: What is it?
Sierokarte: Everyone's going to go relax on the beach after this, right?
Katalina: Yes, we thought we'd let our hair down for a while.
Sierokarte: Have you sorted out somewhere to stay yet? It's currently vacation season, so most places will be packed.
Katalina: No, not just yet. Hopefully we'll sort something out without much difficulty.
Sierokarte: If it's okay with you, would you consider staying here at the beach house?
Sierokarte: I'm actually using the second floor as an inn, you see.
Eugen: That's kind of you. I'm surprised you're not overbooked already in such a good location.
Sierokarte: Um, about that. The beach house is a little short-staffed at the moment.
Sierokarte: If you're willing to help out, I'm willing to let you stay for free!
Sierokarte: And I'll even throw in swimsuits for anyone who doesn't already have one!
Katalina: Hmmm. I must admit, that's not a bad deal.
Katalina: Staying at a place this close to the ocean would normally be quite expensive, after all.
Io: Wait, so we've come all the way to the beach... to work?
  1. Work, too, is the essence of summer.
  2. I wanna have fun!

Choose: Work, too, is the essence of summer.
Lyria: Yeah! I wanna see what it's like to work in a shop!
Io: You're serious?
Lyria: Absolutely! I think they're called waitresses? I want to be one!
Io: Well, if Lyria and (Captain) are both game then I guess we don't have much of a choice.

Choose: I wanna have fun!
Eugen: Actually, working at the beach house might just be another way for us to enjoy ourselves.
Vyrn: Hm? What do you mean, Eugen?
Eugen: Lots of tourists visit here, which means lots of airships.
Eugen: The main paths will be quite busy, so we'll have to make a detour back to where we're anchored.
Katalina: Now I get it. Going back to the airship to get luggage or sleep would only waste time.
Eugen: That's the gist of it. Staying here and helping out at the beach house actually gains us time to relax.

Sierokarte: You're agreeing to help out? Wonderful! Let me explain what I'll need.

Sierokarte: Of course! You only need to help when we're short on hands!
Sierokarte: Thanks for agreeing to help! You're real lifesavers! I'll go get your rooms and swimsuits ready, so wait over here for now!
Io: Okay!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 1: A Skyfaring Vacation - Episode 3

(Captain) and the crew come to the beach, and are warned about a dangerous area in the sea. In light of the fact that they have work tomorrow, they decide to play it safe by sticking to the water's edge.

Lyria: I just dropped off the luggage, Sierokarte! What should I do to help next?
Sierokarte: You've had a long day! Why don't you take it easy until tomorrow?
Sierokarte: You haven't even been here that long. You should go relax at the beach!
Io: You really mean that? Hooray! Let's go, (Captain)!
Katalina: Okay everyone, meet back here when you're done! Make sure you don't forget!
Vyrn: Got it, Katalina!
Vira: Careful, Katalina. Go out into the sun unprepared, and your lovely skin will get sunburned.
Katalina: Thank you, but I'll be fine. It would be a shame to come all this way and not go for a dip in the ocean.
Io: Hey, Katalina! Let's see who can swim to that rock over there the fastest!
No version of Soriz (SSR) in crew

???: Did I just hear you say you're going to swim over to that rock, little miss?
Io: Yeah, but... Wait, who the heck are you?
Soriz: My name's Soriz. I'm the lifeguard on this beach, here to make sure no one gets into any trouble.
Soriz: Notice how the water suddenly gets darker near that rock?
Soriz: That's where the sea gets really deep. The current can become quite strong, so I can't let you swim over there.
Io: Really? Huh, I guess that's why there aren't many people over there.
Eugen: Never underestimate the dangers that lurk in the sea.
Vyrn: Eugen was born here in Auguste. If he says it's dangerous, then you better believe it's dangerous!
Vyrn: Anyway, we've got work again tomorrow, so we wouldn't want anything to happen. Let's just stay near the water's edge today!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 1: A Skyfaring Vacation - Episode 3: Scene 2

Io: Lyria, you're wide open!
Lyria: Whoa, not bad! Take this!
Io: Ahahaha! Too slow!
Vyrn: Hee hee! Better watch it, Io!
Io: Eek! Hey, that was cheap!
Vyrn: Heh heh heh!
Vyrn: Huh? Gwaargh!
(Captain) and the crew are having a splash fight at the water's edge when a huge wave suddenly crashes over them.
Lyria: Cough, cough... Seawater's so salty!
Io: Where'd that come from?
Eugen: Everyone okay? That was quite the wave!
Vyrn: That freaked me out! Where'd such a huge wave come from?
Eugen: Blame it on that ship over there.
Soriz: A fishing ship? Why do they keep showing up at the beach?
Soriz: Hm, maybe something happened to the captain.
Lyria: Are you okay? C'mon, (Captain), let's go make sure they're all right!
Jin: Gah... Truly a formidable number of fish!
Soriz: You there! Is everything okay?
Jin (Event) is a crew member

Io: Jin? What are you doing in a place like this?
Io: Didn't you say you were searching for some medicine to make Sara better?
Soriz: You're too close to the beach! It's dangerous to stop your boat in a place like this, y'know.
Jin: I apologize. Truth be told, this is my first time taking the helm of a ship.
Jin: Huh? Watch out!
Monster: Graaah!
Lyria: There are monsters on the boat?
Jin: My apologies! It would seem my attempts at fishing have caught only monsters, instead!
Eugen: We can't stand around chatting like this.
Eugen: (Captain), we'll have to deal with all the monsters Jin dragged up first!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 1: A Skyfaring Vacation - Episode 4

Jin: I apologize, (Captain). My lack of ability continues to cause you trouble.
Eugen: Aren't you supposed to be a swordsman? Why do we always find you fishing? You're a little young for a midlife crisis!
Jin: I'm doing it to pay back someone who saved my life. I will catch a bonito, even if it means travelling to the depths of the sea!
Eugen: A bonito? The legendary sea creature that eludes all but the greatest of anglers?
Eugen: A first-timer like you doesn't have a chance of catching it!
Soriz: I've heard of the bonito, too. They say even veteran fishermen have lost their lives to it.
Soriz: Word is that superhuman senses and prowess are needed to catch it.
Eugen: Aye, everyone born here knows the legend.
Eugen: There's no reason to throw your life away on this one, Jin!
Jin: No. As much as you might want to convince me otherwise, I will not give up!
Jin: I won't give up on catching the bonito! Even if it comes at the cost of my life!
Io: Whoa, you sound pretty serious! But is some fish really worth that?
Io: Can't you eat some other fish? One that isn't going to eat you back?
Eugen: Well put, Io!
Eugen: But I admire Jin's spirit. In fact, I admire it so much I've decided to help!
Jin: Truly? Still, as you can see, I'm not cut out to be a fisherman.
Jin: I chased after a shoal of fish earlier, but it got away in the end.
Soriz: Quit your moping!
Jin: Gah!
Soriz puts Jin in a fierce chokehold.
Soriz: A real man wouldn't give up so easily!
Eugen: That's the spirit! Show that bonito what you're made of, Jin!
Eugen and Soriz: And count us in!
Jin: I... I am grateful for your assistance!
Eugen and Soriz have decided to help Jin catch a bonito.
(Captain) and the crew suddenly find themselves with an unexpected vacation quest.
Io: Looks like all the old timers are getting their heads in the game.
Vira: Well, there's hardly anything better to do in this sweltering heat.
Lyria: Hee hee, looks like they're having fun! How nice!
Io: Aww, I've had enough of this! Jin, Soriz, Eugen! We're going over here to have fun!
Io: Wow, this seashell is so pretty! Look, Lyria!
Lyria: It really is! I wanna find one too!
Io: Ooh, I know! Let's see who can find the prettiest seashell!
Lyria: You're on! Tee hee! (Captain), are you gonna look for one, too?

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 1: A Skyfaring Vacation - Episode 4: Scene 2

While (Captain) and the crew are looking for seashells on the shore, Lyria spots some crabs. The first one is small and cute, but the second one is actually a monster, which the crew fights off.

Io: Seashells, seashells... Maybe there are some over here?
Lyria: I wonder... Oh, over there!
Lyria: No, it's a crab! Aw, it's so small and cute!
Io: Where? I can't see it!
Lyria: Oh no! It just hid in a gap between the rocks. I must have scared it.
Io: Aw, it got away. And I wanted to see it, too...
Though a little disappointed, Io soon gets back to looking for seashells, and Lyria follows suit.
Lyria: Ah! Another crab! Look, Io!
Io: Really? I won't let it get away this time.
Snipper: ...
Io: Yikes! That's not a crab! That's a monster!
Io: Lyria, get back! Me and (Captain) will deal with this!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 1: A Skyfaring Vacation - Episode 4: Scene 3

Lowain attempts to call out to Katalina, who is playing dodgeball with the others, but Vira tragically thwarts his attempts at making a move.

In spite of the unexpected battle and other incidents, the crew is enjoying the vacation.
Katalina: Here I go!
Io: Tanya, watch out!
Tanya: Right! Wait, argh!
Tanya: She got me... Sorry, Io. I'm out.
Lyria: Wahoo! Go Katalina!
Three curious figures happen upon (Captain) and the crew's game of dodgeball on the beach.
No version of Lowain in crew

Lowain: The pure white beach, the endless blue sky, the dazzling sun...
Lowain: Bros, the season of romance is upon us.
Tomoi: Hahahaha, I hear ya, bro! Can't believe it's summer vacation already, bro!
Lowain: Let's make this the sizzlingest summer ever, bros!
Tomoi and Elsam: Totally!
The young men swagger across the beach. Looking to make some summer memories, Lowain suddenly stops.
Lowain: ...!
Lowain: She's mad cute...
Lyria: Yahoo! Go Katalina!
Lowain: Kat...
Fascinated by Katalina, Lowain stops dead in his tracks.
Tomoi: Lowain? Whass wrong, bro?
Any version of Lowain is a crew member

Lowain: Look! Look look look! I think I just saw a real-life goddess over there!
Lowain: Kat, huh? Check out that bikini, bros!
Tomoi: Whoa! It's too much for my eyes to take...
Elsam: Brodacious...
Lowain: Awright, time to make me some summer memories!
Lowain: Hey, Kat! Come hang out with us!
Just as Lowain shouts out to Katalina...
Lowain: Gwargh!
Tomoi and Elsam: Lowain?
Vira: Humph! Seems this ball has its uses.
Tomoi: Why'd you do that?
Elsam: Bro-ette, that was dangerous!
Vira: Quite. I had to stop him. And I suggest you refrain from calling me bro-ette.
Tomoi and Elsam: Urk!
Vira: I saw the breach of etiquette your comrade was making with his eyes! He was practically demanding to be put out of his misery!
Katalina: Vira? Did you find the ball?
Vira: Yes, it was over here. Let's continue the game!
Vira: You got lucky this time. Don't cross me again... if you want to make it off this beach in one piece, anyway.
Tomoi: Yes, ma'am!
Elsam: Whoa, what a psycho!
And so, (Captain) and the crew's relaxed day on the beach comes to an end.

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 2: Helping at the Beach House - Episode 1

(Captain), Lyria, and Vyrn head out for a morning stroll on the beach. There, they spot Jin, Eugen, and Soriz out for a run as part of their training to catch the mighty bonito.

(Captain) wakes up early in the morning at the beach house.
Vyrn: Yawn... (Captain)? Why are you up so early?
Lyria: You're going for a walk? Can I come too?
(Captain), Vyrn, and Lyria head out for a stroll on the beach, which is still quite empty.
Lyria: The sound of the waves is kind of relaxing.
Vyrn: Yeah, it's lulling me back to sleep...
Lyria: Tee hee, oh Vyrn! Ah, it's so nice to be out here when it hasn't quite warmed up yet, right (Captain)?
Vyrn: Snore... Huh?
Vyrn: Hey, did you hear that?
Lyria: Huh? It sounds like someone's talking.
Turning towards the direction of the voices, Lyria and (Captain) find Soriz, Eugen, and Jin running on the beach.
Soriz: The art of fishing is a one-on-one brawl between man and fish!
Soriz: To catch the bonito, you'll need strength enough to overpower it in any situation!
Eugen: And good leg strength to keep from getting pulled overboard!
Eugen: Running on the beach is the perfect training for what you're going up against!
Jin: Sir!
Eugen: Say it like you mean it, Jin!
Jin: Sir, yes sir!
All Three: One, two, three, four! One, two, three, four!
Lyria: ...
Vyrn: Have they been training all morning? They're really giving this their all!
Soriz: Run like the wind!
Jin: Sir, yes sir!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 2: Helping at the Beach House - Episode 2

Tanya joins the crew to help out at the beach house, but finds herself in a rut after some difficulties dealing with customers.

Sierokarte: Thanks for all your help, everyone!
Katalina: No, we should be thanking you for letting us stay. We wouldn't be having such a pleasant time otherwise.
Lyria: We'll give it our all today, too! What should we do next?
Sierokarte: Right! If you could focus on helping the customers, that would be a big help!
No version of Elmott (SSR) in crew

Sierokarte: I've got Elmott here in the kitchen taking care of the cooking.
Elmott: Gah... No way I'd be able to deal with the customers!
Sierokarte: Hee hee. He's actually pretty good with them!
Lyria: Good luck, Elmott!
Elmott: I like to give the food a nice scorching, so make sure not to burn your hands carrying the plates!
No version of Tanya (SSR) in crew

Sierokarte: We've also got Tanya joining us today!
Tanya: Hey uh... Looking forward to working with you guys...
Io: Nice to have you with us! Let's do our best!
Katalina: This is my first time dealing with customers, as well. From what I've heard, they're always right... Right?
Vira: Fear not, Katalina. I will teach you everything you need to know.
Sierokarte: I'll be in the souvenir shop, so you know where to find me if anything happens.
Lyria: Okay! C'mon, (Captain)! Let's make this the best work day ever!
And so, (Captain) and the crew begin helping out at the beach house.
Man: Hey! I'd like to place an order!
Tanya: ...!
Io: Sorry to keep you waiting!
Man: Oh, are you helping out too, little girl? How very grown-up! I'd like a fried squid special, please!
Io: Fried squid special, coming right up!
Io: Elmott! One fried squid special!
Elmott: Leave it to me! Heh heh, burn my little lovelies, burn!
Io: Okay, next up...
Tanya: Um, Io?
Io: Hm? What is it, Tanya?
Tanya: That last customer addressed me directly, but I just... froze up.
Io: Aw, no need to make a mountain out of a molehill! I just noticed him first, is all!
Tanya: But...
Woman: Excuse me! I'd like to order a drink!
Io: On my way!
Tanya: Sigh...
Tanya: Guess I'm no good at this.
Tanya: Perfect chance for me to fix my speaking problem, too, but... nothing's changed.
Vira: ...

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 2: Helping at the Beach House - Episode 3

Tanya is still in the doldroms, so Vira gives a pep talk to cheer her up.

Tanya: ...
Katalina: Why the long face, Tanya?
Katalina: You can tell me if something's on your mind.
Tanya: Well... I...
Tanya: I have a hard time talking with people. And I'm kinda morose...
Tanya: I'm not good at responding to customers. All I do is get in the way.
Katalina: Hardly. You're doing a great job clearing the tables and cleaning up.
Katalina: We can see you're working hard, so don't get so down about it.
Tanya: But—
Vira: You're just going around in circles.
Tanya: Vira?
Vira: Do you expect anything to change by just making excuses about it?
Tanya: But!
Vira: Tanya! The only way to get better at speaking is through the act of speaking itself!
Tanya: But I get so flustered with the customers...
Vira: Then you can practice with us until you feel more comfortable.
Vira: They say Albion wasn't built in a day, after all.
Tanya: Thank you, Vira.
Vira: No need to thank me. I was only stating the obvious.
Tanya: I guess...
Vira: I agree with Katalina. You're clearly pulling your weight. However...
Vira: The customers may be taken aback by your rather... gloomy countenance. Could you try smiling?
Tanya: Okay!
Lowain: Did you see that, bros?
Lowain: Vira has a cool side to her, too! No wonder she's Kat's buddy!
Tomoi: Maybe she's just playing innocent in front of the others?
Elsam: Tough to tell. She seemed pretty serious with us before, am I right?
Lowain: Whoa, maybe she's like a passion fruit! Bitter on the outside, sweet on the inside!
Tomoi: Don't tell me you're already done with Kat! What if Vira falls for you?
Elsam: "Oh, Lowain! I didn't realize how handsome you were when I knocked you out before!" Hahaha!
Lowain: Urgh, the thought of it gives me goosebumps! Kat's the only one for me!
Vira: Hee hee... Famous last words.
Lowain: Yowzers!
Tomoi: ...
Elsam: Not good.
Lowain: How long have you been listening?
Vira: Wouldn't you like to know? Although... I suppose it's the least I can do before I end your vacation permanently.
Lowain: L-let's not do anything too hasty now!
Vira: Line up over there! I'll put you out of your misery all at once. Just remember, you only have yourselves to blame.
All Three: Forgive us!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 2: Helping at the Beach House - Episode 4

In order to locate the bonito from the ship's deck, Jin decides he must train his mind's eye. To do so, he begins slicing open melons on the beach... blindfolded.

Lyria: Good job with your training today, everyone! Here, I brought some refreshments!
Vyrn: You still running around, running man? Moved onto anything else, training-wise?
Jin: Yes. Today we train the mind's eye!
Lyria: What's that?
Eugen: Our foe is a denizen of the deep! To track it down, we'll need to look with more than just our regular peepers!
Eugen: If we want to see the unseeable, we've gotta use the power of the mind's eye!
Lyria: So that's why you're blindfolded!
Vyrn: Will running around blindfolded really help, though? Seems kinda ridiculous if you ask me!
Soriz: We aren't just prancing around in these things!
Soriz: We're placing watermelons for Jin to cut down with his wooden training sword!
Vyrn: Watermelons? Oh, yeah, over there! They seem a little outta Jin's reach, though, don't they?
Jin: My objective is to catch the bonito, which roams the great depths of the ocean.
Jin: The distance between these watermelons barely compares to the size of the ring in which I will face my foe!
Vyrn: Wow! He knows exactly where he's going, even with the blindfold on!
Lyria: It still looks a bit dangerous though!
Lyria: (Captain), let's stay close and make sure he doesn't get hurt!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 2: Helping at the Beach House - Episode 4: Scene 2

Jin misses the watermelon, rousing some monsters sleeping in the sand instead. (Captain) and the crew step in to help put them back to sleep.

Eugen: Aye, it's just a little farther to the watermelon, Jin!
Soriz: Yes, right there! Go for it!
Jin: Grraaah!
Jin raises his wooden sword and attempts to swing at the watermelon before him.
However, where his sword lands is—
Monster: Groooar!
Jin: What? Oh no, monsters!
Eugen: You missed! And worse, you woke up some of the monsters sleeping in the sand!
Soriz: Then it's time to put them back to sleep... with your sword!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 2: Helping at the Beach House - Episode 4: Scene 3

Jin manages to cut open a watermelon while blindfolded, showing that he has successfully trained his mind's eye. He steels himself, ready to take on the challenge of the bonito.

(Captain) and the crew dispose of the monsters safely, and Jin continues his mind's eye training.
Lyria: Jin! This way! This way!
Vyrn: No, over here!
Eugen: Don't be fooled by 'em, Jin! It's this way!
Jin: They're trying to mislead my mind's eye. I must plumb the depths of the self to find what I seek.
Soriz: Oh?
Jin: There!
Jin ignores the crew's distractions and swings his sword.
This time, he does not miss. His blade cleaves the melon in half.
Vyrn: Amazing! He actually managed to hit it blindfolded!
Jin: Heh...
Jin: I have successfully honed my mind's eye!
Soriz: I knew you could do it, Jin! I believed all along that you'd pull it off!
Jin: You have my thanks. Now I am ready to face my true foe, the bonito!
Jin: Hang in there just a little longer, Kaz! I vow to catch a bonito in your stead!
Having completed his training, Jin prepares to face the challenge of catching a bonito.
(Captain) and the team decide to work together as one to help Jin succeed.

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 3: Man vs Fish - Episode 1

Jin informs Kaz that he is ready to face a bonito. Kaz encourages him, keeping his determination fresh.

Jin: Kaz. I have returned.
Kaz: Why, if it isn't Jin! You said you were undergoing special training. How's it going?
Jin: I am ready. It is time for me to face the challenge of the bonito!
Kaz: Sounds good. Feel free to use my fishing boat!
Jin: It will be my honor! My apologies for the inconvenience.
Kaz: You're a seasoned fighter, so I'm sure you'll be fine.
Kaz: This battle won't be like anything you've faced before, though. If something goes wrong at sea, you'll have nowhere to run.
Jin: I will heed those words.
Kaz: Take care out there!
Kaz: I'm looking forward to eating the bonito you catch!
Jin: As am I!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 3: Man vs Fish - Episode 2

Everyone is waiting at the dock when they realize they don't have anyone to captain the boat. Just as Jin begins to panic, Sierokarte volunteers to take the helm.

Katalina: So this is Kaz's fishing boat, eh? It's quite the vessel!
Eugen: Bonito only appear far out at sea, so our ship needs to be able to withstand powerful waves.
Lyria: It's really different from an airship!
Lyria: How do you get it to move?
Vyrn: Now that you mention it, Jin seemed to have his hands full the last time we found him on a boat.
Jin: You have my apologies for that.
Lyria: Eugen, will you be taking the helm?
Eugen: Me? I may have been born in Auguste, but I've never helmed a fishing boat before.
Io: How about you, Soriz? You've been helping out with bonito catching this whole time!
Soriz: Helping catch a fish and helming a ship are two different things.
Lyria: Does that mean—
Jin: We have no one to steer the ship?
Jin: How could I have overlooked something so simple?
Soriz: Blast!
Sierokarte: Hello everyone! I heard you're going to catch a bonito, so I thought I'd come see you off!
Sierokarte: Hmm? What's with all the long faces? Did something happen?
Eugen: Well, actually...
Sierokarte: Oh my goodness, you don't have anyone to steer the boat?
Katalina: It's a little embarrassing to admit, but... yes.
Sierokarte: Well, that's a relief! From the look on your faces, I thought it was something serious!
Soriz: It is serious!
Sierokarte: Tee hee! Just leave it to me!
Sierokarte: You wouldn't think it, but I'm actually quite the skilled helmsman!
Jin: Do you mean it? We would be very grateful!
Sierokarte: Of course! I wanna eat some bonito too, so I'd be more than happy to captain!
Jin: This is a blessing from the heavens! Sierokarte, you have my eternal gratitude!
Sierokarte: Tee hee! Just make sure the bonito you catch is extra delicious!
Soriz: Pahaha! And to think we almost had to give up!
Io: For heaven's sake, guys! You should check basic things like that in future!
Eugen: When you're right, you're right...
Sierokarte: Right, then! Full speed ahead!
Everyone: Yeah!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 3: Man vs Fish - Episode 3

(Captain) and the crew are discussing the deliciousness of a bonito, but Io is skeptical. The crew will just have to wait until they have a chance to taste it firsthand.

Lyria: Tee hee!
Katalina: You seem to be enjoying yourself, Lyria.
Lyria: Yeah! It's my first time riding a boat on the water! It's really fun!
Lyria: The smell of the wind is different down here too! I think it's 'cause it's mixed with the smell of the ocean.
Lyria: It's really different from flying. In a good way!
Soriz: It might not last, so enjoy it while you can!
Jin: Indeed, the battle with a bonito will be a true test of our mettle. It won't seem so fun when our lives are on the line!
Lyria: That's right. Bonito sounds like some tough fish.
Io: But the harder it is to catch, the more delicious it must be!
Katalina: If that weren't the case, we wouldn't be braving the waves ourselves, yes?
Lyria: But aren't all the fish in Auguste delicious?
Lyria: It's hard to imagine how this one could taste that much better.
Jin: Indeed. I cannot imagine the taste that awaits us, either.
Sierokarte: In any case, it's a stupendously delicious fish!
Sierokarte: I've only eaten it once myself, and just the thought of it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!
Vyrn: That good, eh?
Jin: Kaz said it was so good it could bring the dead back to life.
Lyria: Wait, really?
Eugen: Ha! Now that brings me back!
Eugen: Around these parts, they actually refer to anything worth celebrating as bonito.
Eugen: Living to old age? Taking a primal beast down a peg? That's bonito!
Io: Hm, the more you talk about it, the harder it is to believe.
Vyrn: Yeah, and they're not really situations you associate with the taste of food.
Jin: Hahaha! We'll just have to eat it and see for ourselves!
Soriz: Jin's got the right idea!
Jin: I will catch a bonito so that all present may taste its splendor!
Katalina: In that case, I'm quite looking forward to tasting it for myself!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 3: Man vs Fish - Episode 4

Jin successfully reels the bonito onto the deck, but its thrashing threatens to capsize the boat. (Captain) steps in to stop the fish and save the crew.

Vyrn: Hm, we're pretty far out to sea, but still no sign of the bonito.
Eugen: They say it normally roams in the depths of the sea.
Eugen: It only swims to the surface when it's hungry. You can tell it's coming when white waves start forming.
Lyria: So we just have to look for white waves!
Jin: ...
Jin: I see it!
Vyrn: Huh? Where?
Lyria: I don't see any waves forming...
Before responding, Jin casts some bait into the water, and a single white wave forms on the water's surface.
Lyria: A white wave! It's a bonito!
Soriz: Good work, Jin! You must have sensed its presence with your mind's eye!
Jin: Sierokarte, could you circle the boat around where those white waves are forming?
Sierokarte: Right away, sir!
Jin: Eugen, Soriz! We need to ready ourselves on the deck! Prepare to reel it in!
Eugen: Aye aye!
Soriz: I'm getting fired up!
Jin: It's here!
Jin takes position on the deck, and readies his fishing rod.
Bonito: ...
Soriz: There it is! Now, Jin!
Jin: Rgh... It's not budging!
Eugen: Pull like your life depends on it, Jin!
Jin: Graaaah!
Bonito: ...
Jin: I got it!
Jin has reeled the massive bonito onto the deck.
Bonito: ...
Vyrn: Yikes! It's thrashing like crazy!
Sierokarte: At this rate it's going to capsize the boat! We have to do something!
Soriz: That's what we're here for!
Eugen: Jin went to all that trouble dredging it out, so let's make it fish fry while it's still fresh!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 4: An Ace up His Sleeve - Episode 1

Kaz informs Jin that the escaped bonito will only become stronger and more delicious. Jin resolves to catch it this time and prove his worth once and for all.

Soriz: Whew... It finally stopped thrashing.
Bonito: ...
Sierokarte: You did it! That's a bonito to be proud of!
Jin: A worthy adversary, but we proved victorious. It is with great privilege that we receive this fish.
Jin attempts to grab the tranquil bonito,
but—
Jin: ...!
Bonito: ...
The boat tilts to one side as the massive bonito springs back to life.
Jin: Is anybody hurt?
Bonito: ...
Jin: W-wait!
Jin calls out to the bonito in vain as it thrashes against the deck and springs back into the ocean.
Jin: No, this can't be happening!
Jin's anguished cry reverberates across the sea.
Dumbfounded, (Captain) and the crew can do nothing but watch as the white waves slowly dissipate.
(Captain) and the crew return to land with a silent Jin.
Kaz: Well, if it isn't Jin and friends!
Lyria: Oh, hi Kaz! We're back!
Jin: ...
Kaz: I'm glad you're all back safe and sound! So, how did it go?
Soriz: About that...
Jin: I've let you down, Kaz!
Jin: I was so confident before, but in the end, I let it get away!
Kaz: It got away, eh?
Jin: I have no excuse. I will bear this shame for the rest of my days!
Kaz: You've got nothing to apologize for! If it got away, that means you managed to find it at least, right?
Jin: Yes. However!
Kaz: You wouldn't be this frustrated if you hadn't been close to catching it, right?
Eugen: Right. He managed to fish it out of the water and pull it onto the deck, but it got away after that.
Kaz: If that's the case, you can be sure it'll return. And when it does, you're in for the fight of your life!
Jin: It's going to... return?
Kaz: Yeah. When a bonito survives a fierce battle, it becomes even stronger.
Kaz: It's going to come back to settle the score with you one day, Jin.
Kaz: We fishermen have a name for this. The Revenge of Bonito.
Jin: You mean to say... this fight isn't over?
Kaz: Yeah, but don't make the mistake of thinking a vengeful bonito is anything like a regular one.
Kaz: It's so powerful, it's not even fair to call it a fish anymore! Even I wouldn't be strong enough to fish one out.
Lyria: But the regular bonito was already super strong!
Kaz: Exactly. Give up on the bonito, Jin. Only a fool would venture into those waters.
Jin: But is it... delicious?
Vyrn: Jin, are you crazy? He told you to stop!
Jin: I was just asking whether a vengeful bonito would be even more delicious than a normal one!
Kaz: It is.
Kaz: Its toughened body carries an even richer flavor! There's nothing more delicious in all the sky!
Soriz: Is that so...
Eugen: There's only one thing to do!
Jin: Catch it!
Jin: Kaz. I've already failed you once. I no longer deserve to be called your student.
Jin: But I see no better chance to prove myself than with a fish even more delicious than the last!
Jin: Next time I will return with the unsurpassable vengeful bonito!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 4: An Ace up His Sleeve - Episode 2

Based on Io’s suggestion, Jin decides to search for new fishing bait before challenging the vengeful bonito.

Jin: We need to figure out a new way to train for next time.
Io: Hm. I think I have an idea.
Io: Jin's already trained enough. What you need to change isn't your training, but your tools.
Jin: You could be onto something! We overlooked that last time.
Soriz: Wow, Io! You're one smart kid!
Io: Heehee! Anyway, I'm not actually sure what needs to be changed, but...
Kaz: Lemme think... What about changing the bait?
Kaz: Way back when, I used to go to a cave on the far side of the coast. Amazing bait in there.
Lyria: Used to? Why did you stop?
Kaz: After a while the stuff started getting harder to find, so I decided to use a different bait instead.
Eugen: So the bait we've been using isn't the best one out there?
Jin: All right, then! Let's go find some better bait!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 4: An Ace up His Sleeve - Episode 3

While combing the water’s edge for something to use as bait, Io finds a poisonous jellyfish. Soriz notices just in time, and manages to intercept Io before she touches it.

Io: Now that you mention it, I don't actually know what people normally use as bait to catch fish.
Eugen: Usually some kind of small shrimp, other fish... or bugs.
Katalina: Y-y-you can use bugs like that?
Soriz: Never gone fishing before, Katalina? Caterpillars make good bait. Like this one here...
Katalina: P-please stop, Soriz! Oh, I feel like I'm going to be sick...
Lyria: Oh, Katalina... So, if we can use shrimp as bait, does that mean crabs could work too?
Eugen: I wonder. Considering the bonito's size, a smaller one might just work.
Io: Lyria, the last crab we ran into was bad enough. Let's not go looking for them.
Lyria: I guess you're right...
(Captain) and the crew are looking for something they can use as bait at the water's edge.
Io: There's nothing but shells and seaweed here... Huh?
Io: What's that transparent blue thing? It's kinda pretty and gross at the same time...
Io reaches out to touch the transparent blue creature that has washed up on the shore.
Soriz: Watch out!
Io: Eep!
Soriz runs over and throws himself between Io and the strange thing she was reaching out to touch.
Soriz: Argh!
Io: Soriz? Soriz, no! What's wrong?
Eugen: Did something happen? Wait. This is a floating terror!
Io: That sounds bad! What is it, exactly?
Eugen: A type of jellyfish. It may look pretty at first glance, but it carries a deadly poison!
Io: Oh my gosh... What do we do? Soriz got poisoned trying to protect me!
Io frets over Soriz, who is collapsed on the beach.
Io: Soriz, please! You have to hang in there!
Soriz: Whoa, that was something!
Io: Huh?
Soriz: Phew! I would've been a goner if I hadn't trained my body to deal with extreme pain! Io, you didn't touch it, did you?
Soriz: Oh? You're crying! You weren't worried about me, were you? Sorry, Io! I'm fine now. See?
Io: You numbskull! Don't scare me like that! Grrr!
Soriz: Agh! Stop hitting me! Ouch! This is worse than the floating terror!
Eugen: Good grief...

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 4: An Ace up His Sleeve - Episode 4

(Captain) and the crew still haven’t had any luck finding something to use as bait, so they decide to head to the cave Kaz spoke of in which he used to find excellent bait.

Lyria: Hmmmm. We still haven't found anything to use as bait.
Jin: Perhaps we should try searching the cave Kaz told us about.
Vyrn: But didn't he say all the good stuff in there got used up?
Jin: Yes, but that was quite some time ago. The cave may be once again full of creatures we can use as bait.
Eugen: You have a point. Let's go check out this cave!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 4: An Ace up His Sleeve - Episode 4: Scene 2

In the depths of the dark cave, (Captain) and the crew find crawdads, which they hope to use as bait.

Katalina: It's quite dark in here. Watch where you're walking, everyone.
Lyria: Brrr, the air is chilly, too, and it's pitch black... It feels like a ghost could pop up at any moment.
Lyria: What's that, (Captain)? You'll hold my hand?
Lyria: Thanks, (Captain). Whatever you do, don't let go!
Eugen: Boo!
Lyria: Aieee!
Eugen: Sorry! Didn't think you'd jump out of your skin so easily!
Lyria: That was mean, Eugen! You scared me half to death!
Katalina: As mean as always! You knew she was scared enough as it was!
Eugen: Sorry, Lyria. I got carried away.
Lyria: Just don't do it again, okay?
Vyrn: Heheheh, still got a weakness for the ghosties, eh, Lyria?
Jin: There it is! The bait we've been searching for!
Katalina: Where? Ack!
???: ...
Katalina: Aieee! Bugs! Bugs everywhere!
Jin: As I suspected, the cave has been repopulated! (Captain), help me catch some!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 4: An Ace up His Sleeve - Episode 4: Scene 3

(Captain) and the crew manage to find some crawdads to use as bait when catching the bonito. They leave the cave and head back to the beach.

Jin: We did it! We managed to catch some crawdads!
Katalina: Yikes! D-don't come near me with that thing!
Lyria: It's okay, Katalina! Their eyes are really cute if you get a good look at them!
Crawdad: ...
Lyria: Okay, maybe not.
Io: No worries, Katalina! Let's get out of this cave already, (Captain)!
(Captain) and the crew now have the perfect bait for catching the bonito.
The crew heads back to the beach. Katalina, meanwhile, does her best to avoid making direct eye contact with the crawdads.

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 5: Recipe for a Bonito - Episode 1

Kaz prepares a banquet to give everyone energy for their rematch with the bonito. At the beach house kitchen, he teaches Elmott how to use his flames to make bonito fillet.

Sierokarte: So Jin, you're finally ready to challenge the bonito again?
Eugen: Aye. We'd like to help Jin prepare, but our obligations at the beach house might make that difficult.
Sierokarte: Gotcha!
Sierokarte: They say only a handful of fishermen have ever managed to catch a bonito, so I'm willing to make an exception here.
Sierokarte: Don't worry about your work for now. Just focus on helping Jin!
Eugen: You have my thanks, Siero!
Kaz: Hey, Jin!
Jin: Kaz! How are you faring?
Kaz: Fine, but I need to talk to you about the bonito. It'll take both brains and brawn to catch it!
Eugen: Indeed. Angling this fish isn't going to be easy.
Kaz: I figured you should eat something to boost your strength before you head out to sea.
Kaz: The cooking of a bumpkin like me isn't much, but I don't want you leaving on an empty stomach. You need to be prepared.
Jin: You have my gratitude!
Vyrn: Awesome! I can't wait, Mr. Fisherman!
Sierokarte: Elmott, can I borrow you for a moment?
Elmott: What's up? The day's just about over, isn't it?
Sierokarte: Yep! But Kaz is going to be making us a big banquet today!
Sierokarte: I'm letting him use the kitchen, so please show him where everything is.
Elmott: Huh? Why me?
Sierokarte: Glad to hear it's not a problem! Later!
Elmott: Hey, wait a sec! Argh, she's already gone...
Kaz: Sorry for the trouble, kiddo! Go easy on me, now. Just looking to cook something good, is all.
Elmott: You're the old fisherman Jin mentioned? Are you gonna be okay? I heard you're sick or something.
Kaz: Thanks for the concern, but I can handle this just fine.
Kaz: What a great kitchen! Say, are you in charge of the whole place?
Elmott: Yeah. I mean, I'm used to dealing with fire, so it's no biggie.
As he says this, Elmott casually fires up the stove with his magic.
Kaz: That's really something else, kiddo! You're practically a pro at this!
Elmott: I just scorch whatever needs scorching, that's all.
Kaz: Give yourself more credit! You've got what it takes to make bonito fillet!
Elmott: Bonito... fillet?
Kaz: You need to soak the fish in cool water before cutting it thinly and precisely. It takes masterful heat control.
Kaz: The thickness of the cuts, the amount of oil used... You have to keep an eye on everything if you want it to turn out right.
Kaz: It isn't easy, but a young firebrand like you should manage all right.
Elmott: Thanks, but no thanks, gramps! It sounds like a total pain!
Kaz: That's too bad. With your magic you'd be able to grill it delicately enough, but I don't want to force the issue.
Kaz: And here I was hoping to finally have bonito fillet again after all these years...
Elmott: You remember what it tastes like?
Kaz: I can. My wife cooked the most delicious bonito fillet you ever tasted.
Kaz: Sorry. Just an old man's ramblings. So, how about you show me around the kitchen?
Elmott: What a pain. If I'm gonna help you, you're gonna have to do something for me, too.
Kaz: Hm? What do you have in mind?
Elmott: I want you to teach me how to make bonito fillet!
Elmott: I'm gonna remind you how it's really supposed to taste!
Kaz: That so? What a nice, young lad you are, kiddo!
Elmott: Enough babbling. Teach me how to make this thing!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 5: Recipe for a Bonito - Episode 2

As Kaz and Elmott prepare the food, Vira, Lowain, and the others burst into the kitchen. They decide to help Kaz cook—Lowain out of the kindness of his heart, and Vira out of her desire to serve Katalina.

Elmott: How is it, old man?
Kaz: Hmmm... The flames are a little high, but the surface looks like it's searing properly. Smells good, too.
Elmott: Yeah, yeah, don't worry. I know I've still got a way to go!
Elsam: Bros, why did we run away? Talk about lame...
Tomoi: Like, dude! Why does Vira have to get that worked up?
Lowain: We hadn't even done anything! All I was gonna do was to say hi to Kat!
Vira: I disagree. Your mere existence is troublesome!
Vira: You make me sick. I have to dispose of you before you start influencing Katalina for the worse.
Lowain: Now we're in trouble!
Elsam: Oh boy, is she mad! Let's go hide in that house over there!
Lowain and Tomoi: Kay!
Kaz: Now, Elmott! Flip it over!
Elmott: Gotta time it just right...
Elmott: Yikes! Who the heck are you guys?
Lowain: Dude, please please please! You gotta hide us!
Elmott: Uh huh?
Vira: Think you can hide in the kitchen? You should have no objection to me making mincemeat out of you, then...
Kaz: Hm? What's this about mincemeat? Oh, you must be here to help us cook!
Vira: Huh?
Kaz: That really helps us out! The fishermen brought in a massive haul, and we're having trouble preparing it all!
Lowain: Whoa, look at all this fresh fish! I bet it tastes totally delicious once you've cooked it!
Kaz: Glad to see you understand!
Elsam: Check these dudes out, bros. They're, like, real chefs! I bet they've got all kinds of secret herbs and spices!
Tomoi: Whoa, these fish are the real deal! You can tell just looking at 'em! It's taking everything I've got not to sink my teeth in right now!
Lowain: Fire dude! Old dude! There's no way you can handle this by yourselves! Is it cool if we help?
Vira: Come to think of it, you're making the food that Katalina's going to eat later, right?
Vira: (If I help cook the food, maybe Katalina will notice!)
Katalina: I expected no less from you, Vira! Only you can make food taste this good!
Katalina: Hee hee... Why don't we eat it together? Open wide!
Vira: Oh, Katalina, if only...
Vira: Heh... Heheh... Mind if I lend a hand as well?
Elmott: Can we really trust these guys with knives?
Vira: Just you wait, Katalina. I, Vira, will have the honor of preparing you the ultimate in fish-based cuisine!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 5: Recipe for a Bonito - Episode 3

Vira struggles to help Kaz prepare food in the kitchen. Tanya shows up, prompting Vira to begin waxing lyrical on her feelings for Katalina.

Lowain: Check out my carpaccio, bros!
Kaz: Ohoho! I didn't expect you to come up with something so highbrow! Nice presentation, too!
Lowain: Thanks! You eat with your eyes, too, I always say!
Elmott: Hey, old dude! What do you think of this?
Kaz: Now this is spectacular! You really hit the nail on the head with this one!
Everyone is in high spirits as they help Kaz prepare food in the beach house kitchen.
Vira: Argh...
Vira: I didn't realize fish was so difficult to prepare...
Vira: Back in Albion, I barely even saw fish...
Vira: But that doesn't mean I'm going to throw in the towel!
Tanya: Vira, are you helping Kaz, too?
Vira: Tanya? What brings you here?
Tanya: I thought I'd get everything ready for tomorrow...
Vira: I see. Just so you know, I've got my hands full right now.
Tanya: Yeah... You're preparing fish, huh? Wow, is there anything you can't do, Vira?
Vira: Heheh. And it looks like I'm doing a good job?
Tanya: Well, there are so many islands where you can't get fish at all, so what you're doing is pretty incredible, if you ask me.
Vira: I'm not sure that's going to matter much when I feed this to Katalina, unfortunately.
Tanya: You're making this for Katalina?
Vira: Who else? The sole purpose of my existence is to please Katalina!
Tanya: Oh, right. You're head over heels for her, aren't you, Vira?
Vira: Those words hardly even begin to explain how I feel about her.
Vira: I could spend day and night for all eternity searching for the right words to express my feelings, and even that would not be enough.
Tanya: Um, okay...
Vira: Which is to say, the depth of my love cannot be expressed in mere words.
Vira: And so I am spurred towards new means and forms of expression.
Vira: Oh, Katalina. Just thinking of you is enough to—
Tanya: Er, Vira?
Vira: Ah, yes! How could I be so blind? My love for Katalina is enough to overcome any challenge!
Tanya: What should I say? I don't get what Vira's talking about at all.
Tanya: I guess it's just me being bad at conversation again...
Io: Hi Tanya! I thought I'd help get everything ready for tomorrow, and... Is something wrong?
Tanya: Well, it's just... I can't really work out what Vira is trying to say.
Vira: Oh, my dearest Katalina. I must create food perfect enough to be worthy of you...
Io: ...!
Tanya: What's she saying, Io?
Io: You don't need to know!
Io: In fact, it's best you don't!
Tanya: Seriously?
Vira: Tee hee! Tee hee hee hee! Oh, Katalina...

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 5: Recipe for a Bonito - Episode 4

The food is ready, and (Captain) and the crew gather at the beach house. Sierokarte proposes that they eat by the water's edge, so the crew carries the food over.

(Captain) and the crew are called back to the beach house by Kaz.
Soriz: Well, well! It all looks so good!
Soriz: Hm? Io, what's wrong? Why do you look so down?
Io: Oh, it's nothing...
Vira: Katalina! Please, try some of this risotto! I put my heart and soul into it!
Katalina: You made this? It looks delicious!
Lowain: Hey Kat! Check it, I made some gnarly carpaccio for—
Vira: ...
Lowain: Yikes!
Sierokarte: Seeing as we're at the beach, why don't we go eat out by the ocean?
Sierokarte: There's nothing better than enjoying good food while listening to the sound of the ocean's waves!
Soriz: Sounds great! I'll carry the food over!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 5: Recipe for a Bonito - Episode 4: Scene 2

Monsters appear just as (Captain) is preparing to give a toast. Glasses are exchanged for weapons as the crew readies itself to fight.

(Captain) and the crew place tables on the beach and lay the food out.
Kaz: You need to eat your fill if you're gonna have enough energy to take on a vengeful bonito!
Jin: You have my gratitude, Kaz!
Kaz: No need to be so serious, Jin! Now eat up before it gets cold!
Lyria: Oooh, it smells delicious! I don't think I can hold back any longer!
Sierokarte: And now for a toast! (Captain), take it away!
Sierokarte hands (Captain) a glass, who gets ready to give a speech.
Monster: Grooar!
Lyria: Monsters? Right before the big speech?
Elmott: They must've been drawn to the smell of the food!
Katalina: Lyria, get behind me! (Captain), let's dispose of these pests!
Vira: Humph! It's time for me to educate you on why Katalina's food is intended for her and her alone!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 5: Recipe for a Bonito - Episode 4: Scene 3

(Captain) and the crew are enjoying their meal after fending off the monsters when Jin suddenly steels himself for the Revenge of Bonito.

(Captain) and the crew fight off the rest of the monsters and enjoy the meal.
Vyrn: Oof, I'm so full I think my belly's gonna burst! Better take a break for now.
Katalina: Hee hee. Care to sit in my lap, Vyrn?
Lowain: Sit in... Kat's... lap?
Vira: ...
Lyria: Kaz, thank you for the food. It was really delicious!
Kaz: Really? Well, that's a relief!
Lyria: I'm gonna do my best to help Jin catch the bonito! Right, Jin?
Lyria: Huh? Where'd Jin go?
Lyria looks around. She can't find Jin anywhere.
Lyria: Maybe he went for a walk?
Jin gazes out across the far reaches of the sea, alone.
Jin: I've done everything in my power to prepare myself. My body trembles not out of fear, but out of excitement for what's to come.
Jin: The time for battle against the almighty sovereign of the ocean is almost upon us!
Jin's cry of determination echoes into the night.
A great storm draws near. Who will emerge from it victorious?

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 6: One Man and His Fish - Episode 1

The day of the decisive battle is finally upon them. Jin, (Captain), and the others set sail to catch the vengeful bonito.

The day of the decisive battle with the vengeful bonito has finally arrived.
Soriz: At last, the time has come.
Eugen: We've done everything we can to prepare! All that's left is to give our all!
Sierokarte: Jin, are you ready? I'm about to set sail!
Jin: I've been ready all along. Kaz, this time I will not fail you!
Kaz: The vengeful bonito has a violent temperament! Even my younger self would have struggled to catch it.
Kaz: So be careful out there. What matters most is your safe return!
Jin: Indeed! We will return with good news!
Elmott: Take care of yourself, old man! Just stay on land and don't try anything stupid!
Elmott: When we get back, I'm gonna cook you the best bonito fillet you've ever tasted!
Vyrn: And... we're off!
All Three: Aye aye!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 6: One Man and His Fish - Episode 2

(Captain) and the crew row out to the middle of the sea, where the weather takes a turn for the worse. They press onward, undeterred.

(Captain) and the crew venture out to sea, where the weather quickly takes a turn for the worse.
Io: Urgh, it's so cold! And now it's raining?
Lyria: The wind's picked up, too. Brr...
Katalina: Lyria, Io, are you both all right? I know it's cold, but try to hang in there.
Elmott: Agh... My fire's not going to make a difference in this weather.
Elmott: You'll just have to put up with it. Here, dry yourselves off with these towels.
Io: Thanks, Elmott.
Jin: And still no sign of the bonito.
Tanya: Um, how about we head back for now?
Tanya: The weather's getting pretty rough. Who knows what might happen if we keep going.
Eugen: No. We have to press on.
Eugen: It's tough for us, but our fishy foe is suffering out there, too.
Eugen: This is our best chance to beat the bonito once and for all!
Lyria: We've come this far, after all!
Soriz: With our strength combined, this should be nothing to worry about! Right, (Captain)?

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 6: One Man and His Fish - Episode 3

The vengeful bonito reveals itself in the midst of the storm. Jin uses both his mind's eye and crawdads to try and catch it, but the fishing line snaps just as victory is within his grasp.

(Captain) and the crew continue into the heart of the storm. While enduring the raging waves, Jin suddenly lets out a shout.
Jin: There! Those white waves... It has to be a bonito!
Eugen: What other fish is powerful enough to do that in a storm like this?
Soriz: To call our foe a fish wouldn't do it justice!
Jin: Eugen! Soriz! Throw it the crawdads!
Eugen and Soriz: Aye aye!
Io: Won't the crawdads just get washed away?
Eugen: No, it's fine.
Eugen: In waves like this, the bonito will be forced to surface to find the crawdads.
Soriz: And that's when Jin will catch it!
Jin: ...
Jin: I call upon the power of my mind's eye... Guide my line!
Jin casts the fishing line out to sea, and the lure is swallowed into the waves.
Jin: ...
Jin: Now!
Revenge of Bonito: ...
The majestic form of the vengeful bonito becomes visible at the water's surface.
Lyria: So that's what an angry bonito looks like! It's so... intimidating!
Katalina: The last time we faced the bonito, it was the size of a goldfish in comparison!
Jin: Graaaah!
Eugen: You can do it, Jin!
Soriz: Go on! Reel it in!
Everyone shouts cheers of support toward Jin, who continues to fight with everything he has.
But the vengeful bonito, too, is pulling with all its might.
Jin: You're not getting away!
Jin yanks the rod back. Suddenly... the line snaps.
Jin: Huh?
Jin: No, this isn't happening!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Chapter 6: One Man and His Fish - Episode 4

After a grueling battle, Jin finally manages to pull the vengeful bonito onto the deck using a rope. (Captain) and the crew ready themselves for the final showdown.

Lyria: Oh my gosh! The fishing line snapped?
Vyrn: Guess we'll just have to let this one get away!
Jin: ...!
Eugen: Jin, use this!
Just when all hope seems lost, Eugen throws a rope over to Jin.
Jin: This is... Yes! This is exactly what I need, Eugen!
Jin: We're not giving up that easily!
Jin grabs one of the remaining crawdads, ties it to the rope, and throws it into the sea.
Soriz: We've got a bite!
Jin: Grah!
Katalina: This isn't good! The bonito's pull is too strong!
Katalina: Jin is going to be pulled into the sea along with the rope!
Soriz: We won't...
Eugen: Let that happen!
Eugen and Soriz take hold of the remaining rope on the deck, and help Jin pull with all their might.
Jin: Heave!
Eugen and Soriz: Ho!
Jin: Heave!
Eugen and Soriz: Ho!
Revenge of Bonito: ...
All Three: Heave-ho! Heave-ho!
Revenge of Bonito: ...
Eugen: Heave-ho!
Soriz: Heave-ho!
Jin: Heave... hoooo!
Revenge of Bonito: ...!
Jin: We got it!
The vengeance-mad bonito slams onto the deck with a heavy thud.
Jin: Don't get too close! There's still life in its eyes!
Elmott: Better cook this thing while it's still fresh!
Jin: Time to put it all on the line, my fishy friend!
Jin: Have at thee!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - Ending

After catching the bonito, the crew holds a party to celebrate. (Captain) and the others vow to one day revisit Auguste for another vacation.

Jin: Bonito... You were a worthy adversary, indeed!
Revenge of Bonito: ...
His goal fulfilled, Jin returns to Kaz with the once vengeful bonito.
Kaz: You did it, Jin! You really did it!
Jin: It was not by my strength alone, Kaz!
Jin: I would never have succeeded without the helping hands of my companions.
Soriz: Heh! Don't get all soppy on us!
Eugen: That's right. It's all over and done with!
Jin: You have my apologies!
Lowain: Hey dudes! Let's hurry up and get this bonito on the grill, already!
That evening, (Captain) and the crew rent Sierokarte's beach house and throw a party to celebrate their victory.
Elmott: Ready to chow down on some special bonito fillet, everyone?
Lyria: Munch, munch... This tastes amazing! It's like the perfect balance between soft and chewy!
Katalina: Rich, sweet, and accented with a fragrant aroma. This really is quite a dish!
Eugen: Whew! I bet it'll go great with a nice cold one, too!
Tanya: Sorry to keep you waiting. Here are the drinks.
Eugen: Perfect timing, Tanya!
Tanya: Are you having one too, Soriz? Here you go.
Soriz: Sure, bring it over, Tanya! Ohoho, now this looks like a drink!
Io: Come eat with us, Tanya!
Tanya: Okay!
Vira: Try this dish I prepared next, my dearest Kata—
Lowain: Yo, Kat! Try some of these spices I put together! Just be ready for a flavor explosion!
Katalina: Why, thank you!
Jin merrily watches the lively goings-on of the party.
Kaz: Aren't you gonna have a drink, Kaz?
Jin: Not just yet. I'm quite full and feel merry enough as it is.
Kaz: Oh yeah? Honestly, I can't thank you enough for catching the bonito. It's so good, I've all but forgotten my illness.
Any version of Sara (Light) is a crew member

Jin: Your illness? Ah, that's right...
Kaz: Hm? Something on your mind?
Jin: It's just... There's someone I wish was here to enjoy this.
Jin: I'm sure it would lift her spirits to be able to eat delicious food like this by the sea.
Kaz: I'm sure it would! You should bring her along with you next time.
Kaz: I've been happy as a clam ever since you washed up in Auguste, Jin.
Jin: Kaz, I... don't know what to say...
Kaz: Just make sure you, (Captain) and the others swing by again sometime, okay?
Vyrn: Yeah! This was the best vacation ever!
Lyria: We're definitely going to visit Auguste again!
Lyria: That's a promise!
(Captain) and the crew spend the summer eating delicious food and having fun.
On the journey to the end of the sky, (Captain)'s heart races at the thought of Lyria's promise.

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - One Day at the Beach - Episode 1

(Captain) and the crew bump into Lecia, who they bring along for some fun in the sun. They then head to Kaz's house to see if he has any leftover bonito to share with Danua.

(Captain) and crew bask in victory after catching a bonito.
Lyria: So, what should we do today, (Captain)?
Lyria: We could go to the beach, or help out at the beach house again... Huh?
Vyrn: Hm? What's up, Lyria?
Lyria: Isn't that Lecia over there?
Lecia: ...
Vyrn: Oh yeah, it is her! What's she doing over there?
Lyria: Hey, Lecia!
Any version of Lecia is a crew member

Lecia: Oh, hello, Lyria.
Lecia seems to be distracted with something, only noticing Lyria after being called out to.
Lyria: What's going on, Lecia? You look a little distracted.
Vyrn: You're at a beach resort! You don't wanna miss out on all the fun, do you?
Lecia: Yes, but... I found myself on vacation so suddenly that I'm honestly not sure what I should be doing here.
Lecia: I changed into my swimsuit, but now what am I supposed to do?
Lyria: There's loads of things for you to do! You could go swimming, collect seashells, play beach volleyball...
Seeing Lyria so excited and unburdened by worry brings Lecia a sense of relief.
Lecia: Hee hee. You seem like you know how to have fun, Lyria.
No version of Lecia in crew

Lecia: Oh! I didn't realize the rest of you were here in Auguste, too.
Lyria: That's right! Are you here on vacation too, Lecia?
Lecia: Well, Monika got angry at me for working too much.
Lecia: She told me I needed to take a break, so she sent me here to Auguste against my will.
Vyrn: Well, it's good to take a break every once in a while! You're here, so you might as well chill out a little!
Lecia: Yeah, but... I suppose I'm not entirely sure how to do that, exactly.
Vyrn: Man, talk about being too serious...
Lecia: I get that from Monika a lot, actually...
Lecia: So, if it's not too much trouble...
Lecia: Would it be okay if I joined you guys for the day?
  1. No problem!
  2. I'm not so sure...

Choose: No problem!
Lecia: Thank you! I'll try not to get in the way!

Choose: I'm not so sure...
Lecia: Aww... I guess I'd just get in the way, huh.
Lyria: Hey, (Captain)! Quit teasing her!
Lyria: Lecia, (Captain) is just pulling your leg. Let's go have fun together!
Lecia: Oh, ah, are you sure it's okay? Thanks!

Lyria: Eep!
???: Ah, um...
???: Sor—
Hansel: Hm, yes yes...
Hansel: Danua says she's sorry she bumped into you.
Lyria: No, it was my fault! Are you hurt at all?
Hansel: She's fine.
Lecia: You have to watch where you're going, dear.
Gretel: We're busy looking for something!
Vyrn: Ah, that explains why you looked so lost! What are you searching for?
Danua: Bo...
Hansel: Hm, yes yes...
Hansel: Danua says she's searching for a bonito.
Vyrn: A bonito? You won't find one of those on the beach, that's for sure!
Hansel: We've been to all the fishmongers looking for one.
Lecia: The bonito is a pretty rare delicacy, so you won't find it in a regular store.
Lyria: Hm... There might be some left at Kaz's home, though.
Gretel: Really?
Lyria: Yeah, the one Jin caught was really big, and I don't think we ate it all.
Lyria: Shall we go to Kaz's place and see, Danua?
Danua: Mm!

(Captain) and the crew visits Kaz, who offers to share some of the leftover bonito with them. Suddenly, a ruffian shows up to take the bonito by force.

Lecia: Excuse me! Kaz, are you home?
Kaz: Why, hello, ladies! What can I do for you today?
Danua: Bo...
Hansel: Hm, yes yes...
Hansel: Danua would like to know if you have any leftover bonito.
Kaz: You may just be in luck. I think there are a few fillets left. I'll go bring them over.
Just as Kaz stands up, the door to the house is kicked open with a bang.
Danua: ...!
Ruffian: Hey, geezer! I heard you've got some bonito on you! That true?
Danua: You... too...
Hansel: Hm, yes yes...
Hansel: Danua would like to know if you want to eat some bonito as well.
Ruffian: Eat it? Don't be stupid!
Ruffian: Fresh bonito sells at too high a price to eat!
Ruffian: I'm not gonna just sit around and let you eat it, old man! I'm gonna make a fortune off it!
Lecia: You think you can just barge in here and take it by force? We won't allow it!
Ruffian: Like I need your permission!
Kaz: My friend Jin risked his life to catch this bonito for me.
Kaz: I'd never share it with some ruffian who just wants to make some easy rupies off of it!
Gretel: Hah! Don't waste your words on dunderheads who won't listen!
Gretel: Think of this as payment for sharing the bonito with us! Let's sock it to this guy!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - One Day at the Beach - Episode 2

Danua becomes depressed after finding out eating the bonito won't actually bring the dead back to life. Kaz suggests going to the beach festival, where the crew participates in a sand castle building contest.

Lecia: Heh. Something tells me we won't be seeing his face around here again.
Vyrn: He and his lackeys were a determined bunch! Kaz, are you hurt?
Kaz: I'm fine! Let me get the bonito served up as thanks! And here's a little bit for you, Danua.
Danua: Urm... This...
Hansel: Hm, yes yes...
Hansel: Danua says she can bring her family back with this.
Lecia: Oh?
Gretel: Danua lost her parents and brother, you see.
Danua: Eat...
Hansel: Hm, yes yes...
Hansel: Danua says they'll come back to life once they eat the bonito.
Lyria: I've heard people say it's so delicious it can bring the deceased back to life, but that's not actually true, is it?
Lecia: It must be just an expression.
Danua: Ah?
Lecia: Danua. People aren't serious when they say that.
Lecia: Eating the bonito won't actually bring the dead back to life.
Danua: No...
A look of despair falls across Danua's face after hearing Lecia's explanation.
Kaz: I'm sorry, Danua. I know what you're going through can't be easy.
Danua: Sob...
Kaz: Hey, have you heard of the Bon dance? It's a festival to commemorate the dead.
Danua: Festival?
Kaz: Yeah. It's said the spirits of the dead return during the summer.
Kaz: It's a fun festival where everyone dances to welcome the spirits. Why don't you go? Betcha it'll make you feel better!
Danua: Dance...
Hansel: Hm, yes yes...
Hansel: Danua thanks you, Kaz.
Vyrn: Okay then! Let's hit this festival up, pronto!
Kaz: Don't get carried away, now! The dance doesn't start until later tonight!
Vyrn: Huh? That so?
Lecia: Why don't we go spend some time on the beach until then, Danua?
Danua: Mm...
Lyria: Thanks again, Kaz!
Kaz: Summer only rolls around once a year. Better enjoy it while it lasts!
(Captain) and the crew go to the beach to spend time until the Bon dance begins.
Vyrn: Lyria sure is taking her time. Where'd she run off to?
Danua: Lyria...
Lyria: Sorry to keep you waiting! Tee hee, I thought I'd go get changed!
  1. So cute!
  2. Looks easy to swim in.

Choose: So cute!
Lyria: Tee hee, really?

Choose: Looks easy to swim in.
Lyria: Yeah! Sierokarte told me this one would be good for total swimming beginners like me!

Vyrn: Now that Lyria's changed, let's go play in the sea!
Lyria: Okay! Let's go, (Captain)!
(Captain) and the crew head off to the beach.

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - One Day at the Beach - Episode 3

(Captain) and the crew enter the sand castle contest, and begin looking for a good place to build.

(Captain) and the crew are taken to the sand castle contest by Suframare, who submits their entry.
Lecia: If we're gonna build a big sand castle, we need to choose a spot the waves won't reach.
Lecia: But we don't want somewhere lots of people pass through, or we'll be in the way...
Suframare: Can you see that pole over there? The contest area lies between it and the entry hall.
Zeta: Let's see if we can find somewhere good to build, and go from there!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - One Day at the Beach - Episode 3: Scene 2

(Captain) and the crew are enjoying making the sand castle, when a large wave rolls in and almost knocks it over. They notice that some monsters are the cause, and decide to silence them.

Gretel: Around here seems like a good spot.
Zeta: It does! The waves don't reach here, and the sand is quite refined.
Lyria: Okay, then! Let's start building our sand castle!
Zeta: Yeah! We have to put our backs into it if we're gonna win! C'mon, Danua!
Danua: Mm!
Zeta: Easy does it now. Gently... Gently... Careful not to let it collapse...
Danua: Ah!
Lyria: Lecia, there's plenty of sand left over here!
Lecia: I'm just gonna take a little bit more from over here...
Lecia: Just a little bit more here and... Aw, the balance is still off.
Lyria: Lecia? Huh. Can she not hear me?
Suframare: Lecia is really focused. And her sand craftsmanship is so detailed...
Vyrn: She seems to really have her eye on the prize!
(Captain) and the crew continue to work together to make the sand castle bigger.
Lecia: And... presto!
Lecia: Huh? How did the waves make it out this far?
Danua: No!
Zeta: Argh, I thought we were safe!
Suframare: That's strange. The water level shouldn't fluctuate that much.
Lecia: So what happened?
Lyria: Ah! Look over there!
Monster: Roooar!
Zeta: Are those monsters thrashing around causing all the waves?
Zeta: We've put in too much effort to watch it all get destroyed!
Zeta: C'mon, (Captain)! Let's go deal with those monsters!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - One Day at the Beach - Episode 4

The other contestants are being attacked by monsters, so (Captain) and the crew decide to go help them.

Zeta: Phew, I think it's safe now.
Girl: Aieeee!
Lecia: That voice just now! Monsters must be attacking the other contestants!
Vyrn: We can't just ignore them! (Captain), let's go help!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - One Day at the Beach - Episode 4: Scene 2

Danua manages to save a little boy and his sister at the last minute. (Captain) and the crew tell them to run away, and get ready to deal with the remaining monsters.

Boy: Our... our castle!
Girl: Sob...
Monster: Chitter chitter...
Boy: Stay back! Don't you lay a claw on my sister!
Monster: Chitter chitter...
Boy: Argh!
Danua: ...!
The monster tries to attack the boy, but Danua steps in to shield him at the last minute.
Danua: Phew...
Boy: Thank you! You're not hurt, are you?
Girl: Sniff... I'm fine...
Hansel: Looks like the girl is okay, too. Both of you should get out of here!
Boy: Th-the doll! It talked!
Zeta: You better get out of here, you two! (Captain), let's clean up the rest!

Balmy Breeze and Foamy Deep - One Day at the Beach - Episode 4: Scene 3

The crew heads to the beach house after the sand castle contest, where Danua disappears. They console her on the beach as beautiful fireworks light up the night sky.

(Captain) and the crew manage to keep everyone in the sand castle contest safe from the aquatic monsters.
They don't win the prize for best sand castle, but receive a special prize for saving everyone, nonetheless.
Zeta: Aw, I can't believe we didn't win the contest.
Suframare: Hee-hee. But you managed to win a special prize! Well done! And your prize is... food vouchers for the beach house!
Suframare: You must be worn out from playing in the sun all day. Why don't you go relax and use your new vouchers?
Zeta: That's a good idea! Thanks, Teach!
Danua: Thanks... Teach...
The sun begins to set as (Captain) and the crew relax at the beach house.
They start making their way over to the beach where the Bon dance is to be held.
Suframare: Lecia, that's not quite how the dance move goes.
Lecia: Oh? More like this?
Zeta: Ahaha! Close! Hold your arms higher, and sweep across like this.
The crew pick up the moves to the Bon dance by watching and mimicking the locals, and eventually form a circle with them.
Lyria: Isn't this fun, Danua? Wait... Danua?
Lyria: Where'd she go?
Lecia: We must've lost sight of her while we were dancing!
Suframare: This isn't good! The beach is no place for a young girl to be by herself at night.
Suframare: Let's hurry up and look for her!
Danua: ...
Zeta: Ah! There she is!
Danua: ...
Lecia: Danua, what's wrong? Why did you come all the way out here by yourself?
Danua: I...
Suframare: Were you crying, Danua? Does something hurt?
Danua: Brother...
Hansel: Hm, yes yes...
Hansel: Danua says she thought the spirits of her family would return during the dance.
Lecia: Because Kaz said the Bon dance brings out the spirits of the dead? That's just a saying.
Hansel: Danua understands how unlikely it was to happen, but she couldn't help getting her hopes up.
Hansel: She just wants them to return. Even if only as spirits.
Lecia: ...
Suframare: Oh, Danua...
Suframare embraces the motionless and dispirited Danua.
Suframare: I want you to know you're not alone.
Suframare: You don't need to cry by yourself, where no one can see you.
Suframare: When you're feeling sad... so are we.
Danua: Teach...
Danua clutches Suframare, hands shaking.
Lecia: Ah!
A firework suddenly shoots up into the night sky where Lecia is pointing and bursts into a dazzling array of lights and colors.
Zeta: Wow, it's gorgeous!
Lyria: It's like a flower garden is blooming in the night sky! Isn't it beautiful, Danua?
Danua: Mm!
Vyrn: Heheh, today sure was fun!
Lecia: Haha, yeah. It's nice to take it easy like this every now and then!
And so, (Captain) and the crew's day at the beach has come to an end.
The memories from their vacation will surely last a lifetime.
