Edward's younger brother and a fellow alchemist. He lost his entire body when their attempt at human transmutation failed, but Edward successfully bound his soul to a suit of steel armor in an act of desperation. In this form, he feels no fatigue, heat, cold, or pain, and has no need to eat or sleep. He now travels with his brother in search of a way to reclaim his original body. Calm and thoughtful, he often serves as the voice of reason when Edward gets carried away.
