The homeroom teacher of Class 3-B—which Aoto and friends are in. Specializes in social studies. In addition to making sure each class he teaches is meaningful, he also commands the respect of the students by taking a personal interest in their well-being. His methods have, however, led to the more old-fashioned teachers considering him a bit of a heretic. Being regularly dragged to late nights out at a fruit liquor bar run by a mutual acquaintance of both the head teacher of the grade—who he's known since college—and his own assistant teacher has been Arita's biggest hang-up as of late.
