One of the Arrancars, she is drawn into the Sky Realm due to the abnormalities caused by Sakunagi. Her Zanpakuto is called Gamuza, and when she unleashes its power, she takes on a half-humanoid, half-bestial form.
Nelliel is able to revert to a childlike form, during which she takes the name "Nel Tu." Perhaps because she had first met Chichiri and Uruki while in her child form, she is attached to them, seeing the two like older sisters.
