Working on Vacation
The crew are enjoying their time in a beach cafe when Almeida overhears two lovebirds professing their feelings for one another, making her sick to her stomach. This causes Almeida to run away again, but all is not in vain—she encounters an injured person she can help.
Almeida reluctantly puts on a swimsuit chosen by Io only to run away later in embarrassment.
After finding and bringing Almeida back to the crew, Io and the others take her to a cafe on the beach to relax.
Io: Ahaha! This tropical juice is so tasty!
Lyria: Hehe... Relaxing by the beach is nice too.
Vyrn: Yeah! This is what vacationing is all about!
Almeida: Ugh...
While everyone else is enjoying themselves, Almeida appears completely uncomfortable.
Man in Love: Chuckle... There is nothing more beautiful than you here on Auguste, my love.
Woman in Love: Hehehe... And there is no one more handsome than you, my dear. My love for you stretches beyond the great sea before us.
Almeida: Choke!
Io: What's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost.
Almeida: Oh! You know what? I'm gonna go work out for a little!
Almeida's inability to listen to the two lovebirds causes her to flee the cafe.
Io: Hey! Seriously? Again?
Lyria: Oh no! Let's go after her!
While on the run, Almeida happens upon a beach stall that is being built.
Almeida: Pant... Pant...
Almeida: Hm?
Worker 1: Agh! Boss! Boss!
Boss: Damn it... Now I've done it...
In front of the seaside stall is an injured boss and his distressed workers.
Almeida: Gasp!
Almeida: Hey! Let me help!
Worker: What? You're...
Almeida: Not now... First things first!
Almeida moves at the speed of light and tends to the wounded boss.
Boss: Wow. You're a lifesaver.
Almeida: Come on! Don't just stand there—get him to the hospital!
Worker: Thank you! Looks like we aren't going to get this done tod—
Almeida: Leave it to me! I'm used to running the show in the mines of Valtz! I can handle this!
Worker: What? But you're so young...
Okay, got it. We'll let you do your thing!
Okay, got it. We'll let you do your thing!
Almeida: Great! Are the rest of you ready to work?
Taking the reigns on the construction of the beach stall has given Almeida a burst of energy.
Working on Vacation: Scene 2
After Almeida is finished helping, she is informed of a cave where she can find special ore. After reuniting with (Captain) and crew, Almeida and the crew head to the location where the special material is said to be. However, there is more than ore waiting for them.
Almeida finds herself the head of a beach stall building project.
Under Almeida's direction, the day's work ends without a hitch, and the boss returns well rested.
Almeida: Good work, everybody! You all did great today.
Worker: We had a great leader! If it weren't for you, I don't know what we would have done.
Almeida: No, no... I'm just glad you all trusted me enough to follow my lead. We did great because we worked as a team.
Boss: Oh, right... Here's your cut. I should give it to you before I forget.
Almeida: I didn't do this for money. I just wanted to help out.
Boss: Hmm... I don't know another way to repay you though... Unless you want to join us?
Almeida: I'm happy with just the thought! But actually...
Vyrn: Hey! Almeida!
Lyria: Pant... Pant... We found you!
Io: Grr... What are you doing here?
Almeida: Whoops! I just kinda got carried away...
Almeida explains how she saved the day to the crew.
When her story ends, she turns to the boss and smiles.
Almeida: Sorry, but I belong with them.
Boss: Hahaha... That's too bad. I really wish there was some way we could repay you.
Almeida pauses for a moment and then begins to speak.
Almeida: You know... I actually do have a favor to ask...
Boss: Hm? Just name it!
Almeida: Could you tell me what the tools you use are made of?
Boss: Sure. We use special ore found in caves on Auguste's coast.
Almeida: So these are made from material found in Auguste! Which caves? Do you remember?
Boss: Hahaha! Of course I do. Let me take you all there.
Almeida: Thanks! Just lead the way then!
Almeida: Oh, but (Captain), you and the crew can wait here.
Io: No! We can't go losing you again!
Vyrn: Yeah! Take us with you!
Almeida: Ahahaha... Good point.
Almeida: All right, if you insist, let's take the whole gang to the cave!
And so the crew are led to the cave containing the special ore.
Almeida: Wow! So this is it?
Almeida: Okay, people! Grab as much as you can!
Io: Sure thing! I can handle this!
The crew begin helping the very happy Almeida collect the ore.
Almeida: Okay... This looks about right.
Lyria: Wow! We got so much!
Vyrn: Haha! I bet this will come in handy. Let's head home now!
Almeida: Gee, thanks for helping, everyone!
Monster: Grrr....
As the crew head to the exit, a monster appears before them.
Monster: Graar!
Almeida: Tch! Who'da thought there were monsters lurking here!
Almeida: Here they come! Everyone, get ready to fight!
Working on Vacation: Scene 3
The crew defeat the monsters blocking their way out, only to be trapped inside the cave. The people who Almeida helped earlier worry that her excursion to procure ore is taking far too long and end up coming to her rescue. After a long stressful string of events, Almeida seems much more confident in her swimsuit.
Monster: Gaooo!
The crew pull together and defeat the monster.
Monster: Groo...
The monster loses consciousness, and its body slams into the walls of the cave.
Almeida: No! Everyone, ru—
Before Almeida can alert the crew, the entrance begins collapsing.
Io: Aahhh!
Almeida: Io! Everyone! Come this way!
When the dust settles, the crew is surrounded with a deafening silence.
They find themselves trapped in the cave.
Almeida: Is everybody okay?
Io: Pant... Pant... Just barely!
Lyria: Cough... I'm fine!
Vyrn: Pant... Why does stuff like this always happen to us?
Almeida: At least we're okay. That's what's most important.
Now that Almeida has confirmed everyone's safety, she begins to take in her surroundings.
Almeida: Damn it! The exit is totally blocked off.
Io: Uh-oh... We're in trouble...
Almeida: I can fix this. You all just rest while I think of something.
Almeida: I'm sorry that I got everyone trapped in here. I feel so bad.
Almeida lowers her head in shame at having brought this fate upon the crew.
Lyria: Wait! We can help you.
Lyria: That's what friends do after all.
Almeida: Friends...
Vyrn: Yeah! What she said!
Io: Hehe! We got your back!
Almeida: Thank you...
Almeida: I'll make sure we get out of here!
Io: Believe it!
To free themselves from the cave, the crew begin clearing the rubble that blocks the entrance.
Almeida: Pant... Pant... This is a lot more than I expected.
Lyria: Sigh... I'm so tired...
Vyrn: Yawn... Just gimme a tiny break.
Almeida: How's everyone managing? Io, you rest for a bit too.
Io: I-I can keep going! You just watch me!
Almeida: Thank you.
Almeida: (I've got to think of a better plan than this; otherwise we might be in trouble.)
Almeida hides fear in her heart as she continues to fight through the wall blocking her from the outside world.
Suddenly she hears a noise coming from the other side.
Almeida: What the... I hear something!
As Almeida plows through the wall, she can hear something on the other side of it.
Almeida: It's getting closer!
Almeida: Haaa! Take this!
Then it happens. A sliver of light comes bursting through a crevice in the wall.
Worker: Hey! Are you all right in there?
Almeida: But... Why are you all here?
The worker informs her that they began to worry when she didn't return for such a long time.
When the team found that the entrance had caved in, they all pitched in to clear it as soon as possible.
Almeida: You saved us...
Worker: Hahaha! Of course we did! It was nothing!
Boss: Hahaha! We're just happy that you're not hurt!
Almeida: Thank you so much.
Due to the workers' efforts, the crew emerges safely from the cave.
On the coast, Almeida takes the time to apologize to the crew once again.
Almeida: I'm sorry... that I put you all in so much danger.
Choose: Don't worry. We're friends!
Vyrn: We're thick as thieves! Don't mention it.
Almeida: Thick as thieves, huh? I guess we are.
Lyria: Hehe! My heart was racing! That was incredible!
Almeida: Hahahaha! Only you could call that incredible, Lyria!

Io: Hahaha... Now you can make the masked man a weapon from the ore you risked your life to get!
Almeida: W-w-who would do a thing like that! I-I-I didn't risk my life for him!
Io: Oh, really? You sure about that? (Cuz it's written all over your face.)
Almeida: Y-you know what! You're tired and need your rest! Let's get to the inn ASAP.
Vyrn: Good idea! I need food!
Lyria: Yay! Food! I'm starving!
Io makes an observation about Almeida as they walk back to the inn.
Io: Almeida sure looks comfortable wearing that swimsuit now.
Lyria: Oh, yeah! That's right.
Io: Now she can show off that swimsuit in front of anyone, even the person she has a crush on!
Vyrn: Haha! You said it!
Almeida: Hey! What are you all doing over there! Come on!
Almeida smiles innocently at the crew while waving her hands to beckon them.
She looks at the ore she's collected and loses herself in thoughts of what kind of weapon she will make next.
