Love Neverending

(Captain) and company make plans to visit Romeo and Juliet, but are unsure of what to give the new couple as a wedding present. After asking Paris, Rosalind, Benvolio, and Anthony for suggestions, they decide to offer a trip through the skies as their gift.

One day the crew receives a letter from Juliet, who is living a happily married life in Verona.
Juliet: "(Captain), how have you been?"
Juliet: "Romeo and I are living a modest but happy life."
Juliet: "Please come visit us the next time you drop by Verona. We'll be waiting."
Amusing tales of their married life together are penned throughout the letter.
Vyrn: Hahah! I knew those two were meant for each other!
Lyria: Mm-hm! I'm really happy for them!
Lyria: After reading that letter, I really want to see them again!
Vyrn: Last time we rubbed shoulders with them was at the wedding! We oughta drop by and say hello if we've got a bit of time.
Vyrn: Maybe we can bring a souvenir too as congrats for tying the knot!
Lyria: Great idea!
Lyria: I'm not sure what would be best though...
Vyrn: Any ideas, (Captain)?
  1. Snacks.
  2. Tickets to a play.

Choose: Snacks.

Lyria: Sounds good! There's not a person in the world who hates snacks!
Vyrn: Don't you think that's too plain for a wedding gift though? How 'bout we go for somethin' bigger to really wow 'em?

Choose: Tickets to a play.

Vyrn: That'd be perfect for theater nuts like them!
Lyria: The problem would be getting those tickets. I hear they sell out really fast for the more popular shows.
Vyrn: Good point... We'd only be letting 'em down if we showed up with tickets to some weird play...

Lyria: Hm, I can't think of anything else...
Vyrn: It'd be best to ask in person what they want, but that'd spoil the surprise...
Lyria: What if we tried asking people who know Romeo and Juliet really well?
Vyrn: You mean like Paris and the others? Yeah, that'd work!
Vyrn: All righty! Let's set a course for Verona!
Upon arriving in Verona, Paris is the first person the crew visits.
Paris: So that's why you've come to see me...
Lyria: Sorry to take up your time...
Paris: Oh, I don't mind in the least. Especially since this will help out my dear friends.
Paris: Although you ask a difficult question... I can't say with certainty what those two might want...
Paris: In a way, they already have what they desire most.
Vyrn: True... But that just makes our gift selection that much harder.
Paris: This is solely my opinion, but I believe there is no need for the gift to be material.
Lyria: What do you mean?
Paris: As you very well know, those two have lived their lives plagued with tragedy, constantly toyed with by the fickle finger of fate.
Paris: Now that they've finally grasped happiness for themselves, it may be best to let them bask in that happiness as much as possible.
Vyrn: Good talk! Spoken like a true friend!
Lyria: Thank you! You gave us something to think about!
Paris: Glad to be of help. I take it you'll be asking others for their thoughts as well.
Lyria: Uh-huh! We'll also be seeing Rosalind, Benvolio, and Anthony!
Paris: Okay, I'll let them know you're coming. That should make things go more smoothly.
Vyrn: Appreciate it!
Paris: Give Juliet and Romeo my regards.
With Paris's assistance, the crew is able to move freely through the castle to gather more opinions.
Rosalind: Good question... Juliet has overcome many years of loneliness...
Rosalind: Perhaps because of that, when it comes to Lord Romeo, she becomes a very different person.
Rosalind: Just the other day, I ended up listening to Juliet prattle on for hours on end about her love life.
Rosalind: She is a girl before she is a princess, and it makes her all that much more adorable.
Rosalind: Knowing that she's happy makes me happy. I recommend a gift that would help foster the love between her and Lord Romeo.
Benvolio: So I see you wish to congratulate her with something more than a material gift...
Benvolio: I may not be the most qualified person to speak on this, but based on my experiences...
Benvolio: Why don't you take them somewhere outside of Verona?
Benvolio: Embarking on new adventures with a loved one makes for some great memories to look back on, I'd say.
Anthony: Ever the romanticist, Benvolio. I like that idea.
Anthony: Exploring the unknown can be an incredible source of inspiration. I can already imagine it breathing new life into Bill the Bard's plays.
Benvolio: Lord Romeo's changed ever since getting married to Lady Juliet. Or rather, I should say he's regained his former self.
Benvolio: It's been too long since I last saw that pure, innocent smile of his from when we used to converse about plays as children...
Benvolio: This change in Lord Romeo is a pleasant surprise, and it is all thanks to Lady Juliet.
Anthony: I don't know those two so well compared to the others you're asking...
Anthony: But one thing's for sure: they were meant for each other.
Anthony: Their lives up until now have been crueler than a tragedy, yet more fulfilling than a comedy.
Anthony: I hope you can give them something to celebrate their new beginning, and to wish them well on a happy life together.
Having gathered sufficient advice, the crew make their way to Romeo and Juliet's home.
Lyria: And that's why we'd like to take you two on a trip!
Juliet: Oh my, a trip just for us?
Juliet: We're grateful to have you visit at all... But a trip? Would you really be okay with that?
Vyrn: Relax—it's cool! We wouldn't be asking if we didn't wanna treat ya!
Romeo: In that case, it'd be rude of us to turn down your generous offer. We gladly accept.
Lyria: Is there any place you two would like to go?
Juliet: For starters... I'd love to be up in the mountains.
Juliet: Surrounded by greenery all over, basking in the chirping of songbirds... Wouldn't that just be wonderful?
Romeo: I'd love to go by the beach. It might spark some ideas for the seaside romance I plan on writing someday.
Vyrn: Hrm, you've got different answers. Seeing how you guys get along like two peas in a pod, I wasn't expecting that.
Juliet: Teehee, there's nothing strange about it. As much as Romeo and I love each other, we're ultimately different people.
Romeo: And that's all part of the charm. Exploring Juliet's preferences, her desires, and learning what makes her tick is an adventure in itself.
Juliet: Well, what do we do now that we each want to go to different places...
Juliet: Splitting up would be missing the point entirely, so let's go to the beach first. I'm sure there'll be many new experiences waiting for us there as well.
Romeo: You know, mountains come in all kinds. There's bound to be plenty new to see if we go up snowy mountains like those found in North Vast.
Vyrn: Uh-oh, their opinions aren't matching again.
Lyria: Ahaha... What should we do?
  1. How about the sky?

Choose: How about the sky?

Juliet: The sky?
Vyrn: We can take you guys on an adventure through the sky via the Grandcypher.
Romeo: An adventure through the sky... I'd like that.
Romeo: I still remember the incredible sense of wonder and awe I felt when I first boarded an airship.
Romeo: The perfect idea from the perfect skyfarer. Thanks, (Captain).
Juliet: I've had a chance to ride on the Grandcypher myself before...
Juliet: But it wasn't exactly a situation where I could relax and take in the view, so this could be nice.
Vyrn: Great! We've got you guys covered then!
Lyria: Mm-hm! We'll do everything we can to make this a memorable experience for you two!
And so the crew takes Romeo and Juliet for a tour of the skies.

Love Neverending: Scene 2

Romeo and Juliet enjoy a heartwarming conversation from the deck of the Grandcypher as they gaze out at the sky. Romeo presents Juliet with a ring, but is surprised to find that Juliet has also prepared a ring for him.

Juliet: Wow! What an incredible, breathtaking view!
Days have passed since the crew's visit to Verona. Juliet opens her eyes wide like a child in joyful amazement.
Beside her is Romeo, watching her angelic innocence with a smile.
Romeo: I'm so glad you're enjoying yourself, Juliet.
Juliet: I certainly am.
Juliet: Wow! Look at that, Romeo! A flock of birds is flying below the ship!
Vyrn: Hahah! This might be the first time I've ever seen Juliet so carefree!
Lyria: Yeah! It's a good thing we invited them out on this trip!
(Captain) and company watch the loving couple from a distance, pleased to see them so happy.
Juliet: The sky is so much more vast than I thought it to be... I can only imagine the endless number of people beyond the horizon...
Romeo: And it is in this vast world that you and I met, under the same Verona sky, and united in holy matrimony. Quite the miracle, don't you think?
Juliet: Yes, very much so.
Juliet: Um, Romeo? What is it about me that made you realize I was the one?
Romeo: Huh? What's this all of a sudden?
Juliet: I think we were fated to meet each other.
Juliet: But surely there has to be more justification than that.
Juliet: Even if it was destiny that brought us together, I'd like to think there was some part of us that chose each other.
Juliet: Whisper into my ear what that was for you, Romeo.
Romeo: Juliet...
Romeo: Words alone cannot express the depths of my love for you.
Romeo: But if I had to narrow down your charms to a single point, I'd have to say it's the kindness you show to anyone and everyone.
Romeo: Just by being who you are, you've saved me, the people of Verona, and countless others.
Romeo: You are the light of my life, dearest Juliet.
Juliet: Romeo...
Romeo: Your turn. Tell me what it is you love about me, Juliet.
Juliet: Haha. I guess it's only fair that we get to ask each other.
Juliet: Hm, for one thing... Once you've set your mind on something, you're determined to see it through to the end.
Juliet: Your strength of character allows you to remain steadfast in your conviction no matter how tough things get.
Juliet: But if things should ever get so dire that you begin to lose hope, bear in mind that I'll always be there to support you every step of the way.
Juliet: You said I'm the light of your life... But that matters little if I do not have you, my beloved husband, to shine my light on.
Juliet: It is you that makes me whole, Romeo.
Romeo: ...
Romeo: Haha, now you're making me blush.
Juliet: I'm happy we learned something new about each other today.
Romeo: Likewise. I'm so lucky to have you in my life.
Juliet: Haha. If you really feel that way, then promise me you'll never tell another lie that would break my heart.
Juliet: I spent two years crying my eyes out, thinking I'd never see you again. I must've shed a lifetime of tears.
Romeo: Believe me when I say I'll be sorry about that for the rest of my life! But at the time, I—
Juliet: Alas, my dearest Romeo, you chose your friendship with Count Paris over your love for me. Sniff...
Romeo: But I did so for you... In fact, every action I take is for you.
Juliet: Do you speak the truth?
Romeo: Verily.
Juliet: Teeheehee.
Romeo: Ahahaha.
The atmosphere lightens up as the two break their intense gaze on each other and dissolve into laughter.
Romeo: Come to think of it, this might be the first time we've bandied words at length.
Juliet: Now I know what it's like to have a lovers' quarrel.
Romeo: Hm, it's not so bad.
Juliet: We owe it to (Captain) and the others for showing us such a wonderful time.
Romeo: Yeah. We'll have to pay them back someday for such a delightful present.
Romeo: Which reminds me... I have something for you.
Juliet: What is it?
Romeo: Will you accept this from me?
Romeo takes a ring out of a small box and presents it to Juliet.
Juliet: Oh my...
Romeo: A gift for you. I thought it'd suit you.
Juliet: ...
Romeo: Did I catch you by surprise?
Juliet: You certainly did... After all...
Still in awe, Juliet produces an item from her pocket.
Romeo: Now it's my turn to be surprised...
For in Juliet's palm is a ring of equal splendor.

Love Neverending: Scene 3

The couple realize that their exchange of rings—a wedding tradition from a faraway land—had been planned by none other than Paris and Rosalind. Grateful for their friends' thoughtfulness, Romeo and Juliet bathe in marital bliss as they look forward to the new life ahead of them.

Romeo: ...
Juliet: Surprised? That makes us even.
Romeo: What are the chances... I certainly didn't see this coming.
Juliet: Ah!
Juliet recalls an event from days ago.
Juliet: Rosalind. About what we discussed yesterday...
Paris: Yes, let's go with that.
Rosalind: Very well. I'll let Juliet kn—
Juliet: Rosalind? Oh, Paris is here too.
Paris & Rosalind: ...!
Rosalind: Juliet... You're here.
Juliet: Were you having an important meeting? I can come back later if that's the case...
Rosalind: No, no! It was just idle chatter!
Paris: Good day to you, Juliet... Hah hah hah...
Juliet: ...?
Rosalind: Ahem... So I take it you wanted to ask about the present?
Juliet: Do you have any ideas?
Rosalind: I came up with a few... What do you think of a ring?
Rosalind: I was going through the archives here and found a book that mentions the custom of wedding rings in a far-off country.
Rosalind: The circular shape of the ring symbolizes everlasting love, a promise to your beloved that you will dedicate your all to them.
Juliet: That sounds wonderful!
Juliet: Let's head to the finest jewelry shop in Verona straight away! I'll need your input too, Rosalind!
Rosalind: But of course. Haha...
Juliet: And that's how it happened.
Romeo: I see. Truth is, I received the very same explanation about wedding rings from Paris.
Romeo: Heh. Looks like they got us good.
Juliet: Romeo? Can you hold out your hand?
Juliet gently slips the ring onto Romeo's finger.
Juliet: It looks great, and it's just the right size.
Romeo: Thanks. Now let me put yours on for you.
Somewhat nervous, Romeo feels his fingers shake as he slips the ring onto Juliet's finger.
Juliet: It's lovely. What do you think, Romeo?
Romeo: ...
Juliet: Romeo?
Romeo: Odd... The words were rolling off my tongue earlier.
Romeo: Yet I find myself speechless now. Haha, what a failure of a playwright this must make me...
Juliet: Romeo...
Juliet: It's okay. The look of awe and adoration on your face tells me everything I need to know without words.
Juliet: We have a long life ahead of us as loving husband and wife. You'll have plenty of time to come up with the right words and make me love you that much more.
Romeo: Juliet...
Romeo: Thank you, my dearest.
Romeo glances upward, a radiant look on his face.
Romeo: Marital bliss really has found its way into our hearts. And we owe much of it to (Captain) and our spectacular friends.
Juliet: I hope we'll continue to be good friends with them for a long time to come.
This little trip has proved a great opportunity for Romeo and Juliet to reaffirm their undying love for each other.
The crew later takes them back to their home to resume their happy, married life.
Romeo: The day went by so fast.
Juliet: And I enjoyed every moment of it.
Romeo: I'm sure the time we'll be spending together every day from now on will be just as precious.
Romeo reaches for the door handle, but Juliet stops him.
Juliet: Romeo. I hope you don't mind me going inside first.
Romeo: Hm? Sure, I don't see why not...
Juliet: Thanks.
Juliet passes through the entrance, then immediately turns back to Romeo with a tender smile.
Juliet: Romeo... Welcome home.
Romeo: Haha, I see what you're getting at.
Romeo: Mm... I'm home, my love.
The two share an embarrassed laugh, elated to spend the rest of their lives together as a family.
