Cold Day
(Captain) and the party are starting to come down with a cold, and Kaoru, a former doctor, is stirred into action. He thinks they’re filming a commercial and goes to look for the on-set doctor, but can’t find them. Kaoru gives up and, using his training as a doctor, examines (Captain) and the party. Despite his cold demeanor, his kindness and thoughtfulness endear him to everyone.
One day, (Captain)'s party were on a mission to cull some strange frogs.
While relaxing after a fight, the party were joined by Kaoru, a pop star who mistakenly thought they were filming a commercial.
Lyria: Sniffle… Achoo!
Vyrn: Huh? What's up, Lyria?
Lyria: Urgh… I feel all shivery… Achoo!
Then, (Captain) suddenly started sneezing as well.
Vyrn: Whoa, you as well, (Captain)? What's come over you guys?
Kaoru: What's wrong? Did you just start sneezing?
Lyria: Um, well… I felt a bit shivery…
Kaoru: Shivery? Hmm… Could you sit down over there for me, Lyria?
Lyria: Erm, okay…
Kaoru: Hmm…
Kaoru sat down facing Lyria and examined her intently.
Kaoru: Hmm, I thought as much.
Kaoru: You were sneezing as well, weren't you,(Captain)? Let me take a look at you too. Please sit down over there.
(Captain) did as they were asked, and Kaoru examined them as well.
Kaoru: Well… To put it in layman's terms, you have a cold coming on. For actors like us, it's important that we stay in good condition.
Kaoru: Especially in your case, Lyria!
Lyria: Wha??
Kaoru: Getting into your role is important, but if you keep wearing such a thin outfit, you're obviously going to end up catching a cold.
Kaoru: You should at least bring a coat that you can wear when you're not filming!
Lyria: B-but I'm not even very cold! These clothes are fine…
Kaoru: You say that, but you keep sneezing. You're clearly sick.
Kaoru: When you're on location abroad, there should be a medical professional somewhere on the staff. I'll just go and call them over.
Lyria: But it's nothing serious, really!
Lyria tried to call out and stop him, But Kaoru had already left.
Lyria: Oh… He's gone.
Vyrn: Anyway, what was he even talking about? What's a "med-ical pro-fessionul"?
Lyria: Yeah. I've never heard of this Medical Professional. He's not a member of our airship crew, is he?
Kaoru: What on earth is going on with this shoot? Did the production company not bring a single doctor or nurse to the set?
Lyria: Errr… Well… I really have no idea what you're talking about, Kaoru.
Lyria: Anyway, we'll be fine! We just need to eat plenty of food, and get plenty of sleep! We'll be better in no time!
Lyria: Isn't that right, (Captain)?
Kaoru: Well, no. This isn't a problem that can be solved that easily.
With a sigh, Kaoru once again sat down opposite Lyria and (Captain)
Kaoru: Okay. If there's no medical staff around, I guess I'll have to treat you.
Kaoru: I used to be a doctor before I became a pop star. I'll be right here with you on set, so tell me if you ever start feeling sick.
Kaoru: Make sure you don't overexert yourself, it'll only make you more sick. Understood?
Kaoru: There's no need to thank me. I may not be a doctor now, but I still have a duty to help the sick.
Kaoru: And don't call me Doctor Kaoru! Like I said, I used to be a doctor.

Kaoru: Well… I just want the filming to go smoothly. I am a professional, after all.
Kaoru pushed his glasses up. It seemed like nothing could faze him.
But beneath his cold exterior, (Captain) and the crew could also feel a little bit of his kindness and care coming through.
