One If by Sea
(Captain) and company just want to unwind with some shaved ice desserts after a long day at the beach, but the island's sold out! Hearing about a natural ice cave on a nearby island, Narmaya sets out across the sea by herself to get ice for her friends.
Narmaya: (Captain), Lyria, Vyrn! Hold on just a little longer!
Narmaya rides out to sea alone as she bravely searches for a nearby island.
Thinking of her friends waiting back at the beach house only strengthens her resolve.
A few hours earlier...
After a day at the beach, the crew returns to the beach house to enjoy some shaved ice.
But unfortunately, Siero has some bad news.
Lyria: You're out of shaved ice?
Sierokarte: I'm out of ice, period! Sorry, everyone!
As it turns out, shaved ice sales were so good that Siero sold out. Now there's no ice left on the entire island.
Narmaya: Hm... I wonder if there's an ice vendor nearby.
Sierokarte: I heard he's sold out, too.
Vyrn: If he's sold out, does that mean there's not gonna be any shaved ice tomorrow, either?
Sierokarte: I'm afraid so, everyone. I won't be able to provide any shaved ice for some time.
Lyria & Vyrn: Say it isn't so...
Narmaya: Is an ice vendor our only choice? There's no other way?
Sierokarte: Hm... There may be another way, but it won't be easy.
Lyria: Wait, really?
Sierokarte: Yep! One of the islands nearby has a natural ice cave!
Vyrn: In that case, let's hustle over there and get us some ice!
Sierokarte: Hmm, that might not be the best idea...
Sierokarte: The inside of the cave is slick with ice, and there are lots of mean monsters there, too.
Sierokarte: You all must be tired from your day at the beach. Why not just relax?
Lyria: You're right, I could really use a nap...
Vyrn: You look exhausted too, (Captain). Guess we should probably give up on this one.
Narmaya: No need to give up. Just leave it to me! I'll go get that ice myself!
Vyrn: But aren't you tired, Butterfly Girl?
Narmaya: I'm perfectly up to the challenge, and I want to get ice for everyone to enjoy, anyway!
Narmaya: Just rest here. I'll be right back!
Lyria: Narmaya, you don't have to! Oh, she's already gone...
Commandeering a boat, Narmaya shoves off toward the ice cave.
Narmaya: Is that the island Siero was talking about?
Narmaya suddenly senses faint hostility from the ocean.
Fish Monster: Shriek!
Narmaya: The creatures here are all stirred up, I see.
Narmaya: Thrash about all you want. You're no match for me.
Narmaya calmly locks eyes with the sea beast, her blade at the ready.
One If by Sea: Scene 2
Narmaya fights past monsters on her way to the massive ice shelf at the center of the cave. She carves out a huge chunk of ice to return home with, but more monsters suddenly appear to stand in her way.
Narmaya defeats the monster and heads into the ice cave.
And as Siero warned, the path inside is perilous.
Narmaya: Ice... I need ice...
But that won't stop her. She has no intention of going home empty-handed.
As Narmaya descends farther into the cave, a chill air washes over her. She pauses for a moment.
Narmaya: Is all of this... ice?
Narmaya arrives at the heart of the cave, and can't help but be awed at her surroundings.
Surrounding her on all sides are thick walls of ice. Exactly what she's been searching for.
Narmaya: It's so beautiful... I wish (Captain) and the others could see this, too.
Narmaya: Hee-hee... Maybe I'll invite them when they're less tired?
Narmaya uses her katana to carve out a large chunk of ice from the wall.
Narmaya: This should do. Now to get back before it melts.
She begins carrying the ice block back the way she came.
Monster: ...
Narmaya: I don't suppose you'd be willing to get out of the way?
Monster: Groooar!
Narmaya: No, I guess not. Don't say I didn't ask!
One If by Sea: Scene 3
(Captain) and company head to the island cave to help Narmaya, who is under attack by monsters.
Narmaya cleaves her way through the monsters and finally reaches the cave exit.
Unfortunately, the once massive block of ice she brought with her has melted away to almost nothing.
Narmaya: I wanted to make shaved ice for everyone, but this is barely enough for one person.
Narmaya: I wasted too much time fighting. And the ice chunk I got probably wasn't big enough, anyway.
Narmaya: Guess I just have to go back in there one more time!
Narmaya delves into the cave once more.
Meanwhile, the crew is relaxing back at the beach house, awaiting Narmaya's return.
Vyrn: Butterfly Girl sure is taking her time...
Sierokarte: Strange, isn't it? The cave she was going to isn't that far away, either.
Lyria: Oh my gosh, you don't think something happened to Narmaya, do you?
Vyrn: Darn tooting! This is no time to just sit around!
Spurred on by Vyrn's persuasiveness, the crew quickly heads after Narmaya.
Vyrn: Nah, let's go! Butterfly Girl might be in trouble!

Meanwhile, Narmaya has once again reached the heart of the ice cave, where she cuts out an even larger chunk of ice from the wall.
But then she realizes she has a problem.
Narmaya: How am I going to carry something this big back to the boat?
Narmaya: I guess I'll have to use my sword to haul it along...
Narmaya then uses magic to extend her sword, impaling the massive ice block whole.
Narmaya: I'll just have to pull the sword out if I run into any monsters on the way back.
With the ice block propped on her shoulder like a large shish kebob, Narmaya heads for the exit.
Narmaya: Whew!
Monster: ギャッ……
Monster: Groar...
Narmaya: There are so many of them... I have to hurry, or the ice is going to melt again!
Monster: Graaar!
Narmaya: Ngh!
Narmaya is distracted by the melting ice, and a nearby monster takes advantage of the situation.
Monster: Gwargh...
Monster:
Just when things seem bleak, the monster is struck down by none other than (Captain)!
Narmaya: (Captain)? What are you doing here?
Lyria: We were worried you might be in trouble, so...
Vyrn: Glad to see you're safe! Now c'mon, let's take these monsters down!
Narmaya: But you must all be so tired!
Lyria: We are, but we have to fight!
Vyrn: You've been lugging that giant ice block, so let us carry the weight this time around!
Vyrn: I mean, it's okay to let us do the work every once in a while! Seriously!
Narmaya: You're right. Let's defeat these monsters together!
One If by Sea: Scene 4
After returning to the beach house, the crew uses the ice Narmaya retrieved from the cave to make shaved ice. Narmaya, flush with embarrassment, requests that the crew feed her some themselves.
The crew defeats the monsters and returns to the beach house, ice in tow.
Before they know it, the crew is being handed shaved ice.
Lyria: Let's eat! Om nom nom... Mmm!
Lyria: This is so good! It's all melty and delicious!
Vyrn: Heheheh, and it's all thanks to Butterfly Girl!
Narmaya: No, no. I couldn't have done it without everyone's help.
Narmaya blushes slightly.
Narmaya: I mean, it's... like you said, right? It's okay to let you guys do the work every once in a while.
Vyrn: Darn right! If you ever need help with anything, just say the word!
Narmaya: Um, in that case, er... Could you spoon feed me some of that shaved ice?
Lyria: Why, of course! Say aah!
Vyrn: Me too! Here comes the dragon! Aaah!
(Captain) gets in on the act too, as the three take turns spoon-feeding shaved ice to Narmaya.
Narmaya: Thanks! Mm... It's delicious!
Narmaya can't hide how much she's enjoying this.
Afterwards, the entire crew takes turns feeding each other shaved ice.
As they enjoy their dessert, the crew begins to wonder. Is there any finer way to spend the hot days of summer than this?
