Secret of the Eagle King

Nezahualpilli comes to (Captain) with a request to help him overcome his fear of heights. Seeking out a spell that could potentially rid him of this fear, the crew decides to check out an imperial facility.

Nezahualpilli: (Captain)... There is a favor I want to ask of you...
One night, Nezahualpilli approaches (Captain).
Upon taking a closer look at his face, he seems much more nervous than usual.
Vyrn: Hmm? What's the matter? It's rare to see you looking so serious...
Nezahualpilli: What I am about to tell you is a taboo within my clan.
Lyria: Is it really okay for us to hear something so important?
Nezahualpilli: It is because I respect you all as brave heroes that I now ask for your assistance.
Vyrn: Well if you put it that way, there's no way we can refuse! Right, (Captain)?
Nezahualpilli: Yes. You have my thanks...
Nezahualpilli: I hear that in a cave deep inside the forest, the empire is researching a secret spell that I have been seeking all my life...
Vyrn: A secret spell to heal acrophobia?
Lyria: Nezahualpilli... The taboo in your clan is having a fear of heights?
Nezahualpilli: Yes... For we are the clan of feathers, after all.
Nezahualpilli: As the king, a fear of heights simply cannot be tolerated...
Vyrn: But don't you fly really high during battles?
Vyrn: You're okay with that?
Nezahualpilli: I'm not okay! The way I fight is the tradition of my clan. In this, I do not have a choice.
Nezahualpilli: Why must I fly so high?
Nezahualpilli: Whether I strike from above or below, isn't it all the same? This thought has crossed my mind many a time...
Lyria: That's quite a compelling problem coming from you...
Vyrn: Uh-oh, here comes a monster! Talk about bad timing...
Vyrn: Just hold out a little longer! They're hardly ethical, but the technology of the empire is amazing!
Vyrn: Now let's take care of these monsters and get going!

Secret of the Eagle King: Scene 2

The crew arrives at an Erste Empire laboratory and begin devising a scheme to sneak in somehow. Nezahualpilli has other plans and decides to bust on in.

Nezahualpilli: Hm... The laboratory must be in this cave...
Vyrn: We've made it here, but what's the plan now?
Vyrn: It's not like we can just stroll in and ask them to heal him...
Nezahualpilli: That's no good! That line of thinking won't get us anywhere. It's important to try first before giving up!
Lyria: But the people of the empire are...
Nezahualpilli: Excuse meee! Is anybody heeere?
Vyrn: Whoa! N-not so loud...
Imperial Soldier: W-who are you supposed to be!
Nezahualpilli: Yes! I'd like to ask you about the secret spell you are researching...
Imperial Soldier: A girl in blue and a lizard... You must be the fugitives!
Vyrn: Oh geez... I knew this would happen!
Nezahualpilli: Hm? They seem to be quite hostile. I have no intention of fighting them.
Imperial Soldier: I don't know how you got in here, but now we've got you trapped! Surrender yourself!
Vyrn: Aw, rats... I guess we've got no choice but to fight now! Come on, (Captain)!

Secret of the Eagle King: Scene 3

The crew is chased into a cave by imperial soldiers. While making their way back to the entrance, Nezahualpilli reveals to the crew that he must overcome his fear in the name of his clan.

Nezahualpilli: Hah hah hah! I had completely forgotten!
Nezahualpilli: Now that I think about it, you're all wanted fugitives to the empire!
Vyrn: Geez... This ain't no laughing matter, ya know.
Nezahualpilli: My apologies! I'll be careful from now on!
Vyrn: Sigh...
Lyria: I-it's okay... We managed to escape, so all's well that ends well, right?
Vyrn: Well, we ran right in without thinking... Which way was the exit?
Nezahualpilli: Indeed! The exit should be through the third passage way and then to the right!
Lyria: Huh? How do you know!
Nezahualpilli: Something like that is merely child's play! Ever since I was young, every path I've ever taken has been committed to memory!
Vyrn: W-whoa, that's super reliable! If you already have such an awesome ability, who cares if you're afraid of heights!
Nezahualpilli: That cannot be allowed. I am the Eagle King!
Nezahualpilli: The king is a symbol who represents his clan... This is no mere personal problem.
Nezahualpilli: Laugh at me all you want, but I shall show no mercy to anyone who makes light of my clan.
Nezahualpilli: Thus, I must overcome this—for the honor and pride of the Clan of Feathers!
Vyrn: That's pretty commendable!
Nezahualpilli: I do not seek praise... It only has meaning once I overcome everything!
Nezahualpilli: It is important that we first escape from here safely!

Secret of the Eagle King: Scene 4

Although Nezahualpilli was unable to treat his acrophobia, he finds renewed confidence in his allies. It seems that his quest for the cure has only just begun.

Sierokarte: It looks like you all made it back safely!
Vyrn: It was all thanks to Nezahualpilli! He was amazing! Right, (Captain)?
Lyria: But unfortunately... we weren't able to find a cure for his fear of heights...
Nezahualpilli: Hah hah hah! No need to frown—children should always be smiling!
Nezahualpilli: It's true that our expedition ended up fruitless.
Nezahualpilli: However, I've found a true ally in (Captain)!
Nezahualpilli: An ally that may be able to help me overcome my fears.
Nezahualpilli: Thanks to you, I know I'll be able to face my fears someday!
Vyrn: Heh, well if anything happens, we'll be there to help! Let's just take it easy for now, right?
Lyria: I hope that you'll overcome your fear before returning to your clan!
Nezahualpilli: Yes! So for the meantime, I am at your service!
The Eagle King faces his fears with pride befitting his name.
The crew silently hopes that his efforts will bear fruit sooner than later.
Sierokarte: By the way, I have heard about a legendary potion that can help you overcome any weakness...
Nezahualpilli: Oho! You've piqued my interest! Shopkeep! Please tell me more about it!
Lyria: T-that sounds kind of fishy..
Vyrn: Sigh... He just never learns...
