Forbidden Lovers
The crew visits a small island on a request to hunt monsters, but they've already been beaten there by a man said to possess strange powers. When the crew finds him, he seems to be arguing with someone, but there's no one in sight. Suddenly monsters appear.
(Captain) and company visit a small Erune town on a request to hunt monsters.
But there are no signs of monsters in the town. According to the residents, a single man defeated them all in the blink of an eye.
Vyrn: We come all this way, and now you're telling me the monsters have all been defeated already?
Vyrn: And all it took was one man to do it? You can't be serious!
Townsperson: But I am. In fact, he was so strong with that strange power of his that I assumed he was a member of your crew.
Vyrn: But we just got here. Whoever he is, he isn't with us!
Lyria: Well, I'm sure relieved all the townspeople are safe at least! Right, (Captain)?
Vyrn: Still, he must be one heck of a fighter!
Vyrn: Hey, (Captain). Aren't you a little curious about what kind of guy he is?
Townsperson: I didn't get much of a chance to talk to him, but—
Townsperson: Oh, speak of the devil! There he is. Right over there!
Sarunan: I hear you... But what about... No, that's not what I mean...
Vyrn: Huh... I was expecting more of a hulking bodybuilder type...
Lyria: Yeah, me too. But he looks like a nice guy!
Sarunan: Oh, just forget it! I refuse to put up with all your petty demands!
Lyria: Eek! Me? Petty?
Vyrn: Relax! I really don't think he was talking to you, Lyria.
Vyrn: But wait just a second... Don't tell me he's talking to himself!
Sarunan: Why won't you understand? I'm only thinking of you...
Sarunan: What? What do you mean you hate that about me? That's just cruel!
Lyria: Um... Sir?
Sarunan: I don't want to involve you in any more stupid skydweller conflicts! Haven't we talked about this?
Sarunan: Can't you just listen to me once in a while? And you know what else—
Vyrn: Um... Erune dude? Who are you talking to?
Sarunan: Where did you people come from all of a sudden? And what's with the lizard?
Vyrn: Well, I thought you were arguing with someone at first, but it turns out you were just talking to yourself, and quite dramatically at that!
Sarunan: What a rude little lizard you are! Please pay us no mind. Now, if you'll excuse us, we will bid you good day.
Vyrn: Hey! Hang on! And who's "us"?
Vyrn: Wait... I'm sensing something! Monsters!
Sarunan: And here I was thinking I'd taken care of them all. Oh well. Back to work!
Sarunan: Stand back, please. Honey and I will handle this.
Vyrn: I'll have you know that we've been asked to hunt down the monsters in this town! We'll handle the ones over here!
Vyrn: Let's go, (Captain)!
Vyrn: Whoa there! They weren't kidding when they said you were strong!
Vyrn: And what's with your weird techniques? That doesn't seem like ordinary magic.
Sarunan: Why should I tell a group of strangers all about my private affairs?
Vyrn: Huh? Private affairs?
Lyria: I see... So Sarunan's lack of people skills has got you worried... But he seems like a really kind person!
Lyria: Huh? Overly nice people are annoying, you say? I guess kindness can be pretty complicated...
Vyrn: Lyria? Who in the world are you talking to?
Vyrn: Don't tell me you've caught his Dramatic Monologue-itis!
Lyria: I think strawberry jam goes great with grilled fish, but everyone says I'm weird!
Lyria: What? Strawberry jam over rice? If you say so... I'll have to try that sometime!
Vyrn: Lyria! What's the matter with you? And grilled fish only needs salt by the way!
Sarunan: What the? I can't believe there's someone other than me who can converse with Honey...
Sarunan: You there, girl! Show some respect when you address my Honey!
Sarunan: And how is it that you even understand what Honey's saying? Who exactly are you?
Spirit: ...?
Lyria: What's that, Honey? You want to know more about us?
Lyria: We're skyfarers! Me and (Captain) are on a long journey to the end of the sky!
Vyrn: We're trying to get to Estalucia!
Vyrn: Wait, hold up. You were talking to a spirit this whole time, Lyria? Not yourself?
Lyria: Exactly! Talking to Honey is so much fun that I got kind of carried away!
Spirit: ...!
Lyria: What's that? You and Sarunan are trying to get to Estalucia too?
Vyrn: I guess we're not the only ones, huh?
Sarunan: The home of the Astrals, who left legends and stories all over the world. The island of mystery, Estalucia...
Sarunan: Yes, we're trying to get there as well. I doubt it's that uncommon of a goal.
Spirit: ...
Lyria: What's that? Sarunan wants to use a secret Astral technique to give you a new body?
Vyrn: Come again? Is that even possible?
One fateful day, Sarunan met a beautiful spirit who would change his life.
But the spirit had lost its corporeal vessel and was doomed to disappear before long.
Having fallen in love with the spirit, Sarunan sealed her into his staff and tethered her to the world to try to save her, if only for a while.
Sarunan: Now then, I'm all out of time for chitchat with you people.
Sarunan: I must seek out clues to Estalucia's location as soon as possible!
Sarunan: And one day I'll be able to walk hand in hand with my beloved Honey! I will make it so!
Spirit: ...!
Sarunan: What? You want to travel with these people? Don't be absurd!
Lyria: That's a great idea! We're heading to the same place anyway, right? What do you say, Sarunan?
Sarunan: What? Um... I'll pass, but thanks anyway.
Sarunan: I'd prefer to travel alone with Honey. Spending long hours together, through the good times and the bad, and deepening our mutual understanding...
Sarunan: Then at last our carefully-tended love will bear fruit! Honey will finally obtain a physical form!
Sarunan: When our dreams finally come true, we'll weep with joy as we hold each other! Oh!
Vyrn: What's with this guy? I think he's missing a few marbles...
Spirit: ...!
Lyria: Honey says she knows he's strong, but she's still worried that the slightest accident could crush their dream.
Lyria: She's right! Anything can happen on a journey through the sky. That's why we have to help each other!
Vyrn: Maybe fate brought us together. You seem like a competent guy, so I say welcome aboard!
Sarunan: Honey... If protecting our future together means that much to you... then I...
Choose: Welcome aboard, lovebirds!
Sarunan: Don't embarrass us, please!
Choose: Let's just take Honey.
Sarunan: Hey! I won't let you tear me and Honey apart!

Vyrn: Now you're talking!
Sarunan: However... If I decide you people are slowing us down, we'll leave your airship in a heartbeat.
Vyrn: You've got nothing to worry about! Right, (Captain)? You're in for a wild ride, friend!
Lyria: Exactly! I'm sure there are many chance encounters and fateful events just waiting for us out there in the big, blue sky!
Lyria: Let's find Estalucia together!
Welcoming their two new friends, the crew sets off once more into the skies.
Off in their own little world, Sarunan and Honey begin a new chapter of their story.
