Mountain Girl
(Captain) and company arrive at a remote village to complete a mission. They meet Sen, a girl who displays cat-like mannerisms toward the villagers. Burning with the desire to see the world outside of her village, she asks to join the crew. She lacks common sense, but the crew gladly takes her in.
Vyrn: Hey... Are we there yet?
Lyria: This mountain trail is something else...
The crew are on a mission to deliver goods to a village in the middle of the mountains.
Vyrn: Sigh... Is this really even the right way?
The crew traverse a trackless and treacherous path, hardly able to catch their breath.
Lyria: Did... you hear that?
Vyrn: Hm? Hear what?
Vyrn: Agh! What is that! A monster?
Lyria: It's close!
Lyria: Aaahh!
???: Whoa!
Vyrn: Aaagh!
Wait a sec.
Wait a sec.
Lyria: Hm? Who is that person...
An Erune dashes through the trees at a shocking pace.
???: Right then...
The lovely girl straightens her back and bows deeply in apology.
???: Ahem. Good day!
Lyria: Hi!
Vyrn: Sup!
Wait! You scare us and then just say hello like you didn't do nothin' wrong!

???: Oh. I'm sorry.
Vyrn: So what's the deal, sister? Why are you out here all alone in the middle of nowhere?
???: I live in the village ahead. My name is Sen.
Lyria: I see! Hi, Sen. My name is Lyria. And this is (Captain) and Vyrn!
Vyrn: Hey! You're from the village? That's the whole reason we're here!
(Captain) and crew explain what brought them to the mountain.
Sen: It isn't much farther from here. Follow me.
Sen: Just a little more. The trail is slippery, so be careful.
Vyrn: Thanks! This helps a lot!
Lyria: Thank you very much, Sen!
Sen: Not to worry. It's this way.
Lyria: Wow! Wait... How are we...
A huge cliff towers over the crew. There's nothing resembling a road in sight.
Vyrn: Uh... All I see is a cliff... Is there a secret passage or somethin' nearby?
Sen: No. We're going to climb this to get to the village.
Sen points to the cliff matter-of-factly.
Vyrn: Come on, there's no way we can climb that!
Lyria: I agree... It doesn't look possible.
Sen: Hm? Are you saying you don't climb things on a daily basis?
Lyria: No... I've never climbed anything like this before.
Vyrn: I mean... I could fly, so it's no big deal for me. But it might be tough for these guys.
Sen: I see... I'm sorry. Then please wait here for a moment.
Sen sincerely apologizes, and then begins scaling the cliffside with extreme proficiency.
Vyrn: She's amazing...
Lyria: Oh! That's what those claws are for. She's kind of like a cat.
Vyrn: Haha! Sure is. She's quick on her claws!
Sen comes back with a ladder for the crew to use, allowing them to scale the cliff and reach the village.
Vyrn: Phew... This mission is done!
Lyria: Hehe. And we have Sen to thank for that!
Vyrn: Yeah! We gotta find her and say thanks.
???: Aaah!
A scream is heard not far from where the crew is.
Monster: !
Vyrn: Ugh! A monster! Let's get going, (Captain)!
Before (Captain) and crew can save the day, a small shadow strikes.
Sen: Haaa!
Monster: !
Sen: Whew. Is everyone okay?
Villager 1: No! Thank you, Sen! But that's not your normal line!
Sen: Huh? Oh... Uh... I made it in the nick of time... Meow.
Villager 1: Hahaha! Yes, yes! Just like that!
Sen: Sigh...
Vyrn: Uh... I wonder what they were talking about. Eh, whatever.
Vyrn: Sen, you're amazing! You beat that thing in one blow!
Lyria: Wow, Sen! You're so strong!
Sen: Oh, not really. I'm just used to the monsters around these parts.
Vyrn: Hey! Cut the crap, (Captain)!
Lyria: Hehe. We know you're strong too, (Captain), but so is Sen.
Lyria: Yeah! I think so too!

Vyrn: Yup! That was pretty awesome!
Sen: But... I just...
Sen: I... have to go...
Vyrn: Uh-oh... We musta embarrassed her.
Lyria: Hehe. She's a good, strong person. And adorable too!
After the crew finish the task at hand they leave the town only to find Sen once more.
Sen: Um...
Lyria: Oh, Sen. What's wrong?
Sen: I heard you're all skyfarers. Will you be traveling the skies after this?
Vyrn: Yeah, sure will. (Captain)'s our leader, and we've still got lots to see.
Sen: In that case... would you mind taking me along with you?
Lyria: Huh? You want to come with us?
Sen: I do. I love living here, but I've always wanted to see the skies beyond.
Sen: And I can fight using my martial arts. I won't be a burden. I promise. Please make me a crew member!
Vyrn: Heh heh! If (Captain) says so, we won't stop ya!
Lyria: Fantastic! It'll be great having you with us, Sen!
Choose: Are you sure you're ready for this?
Sen: Th-thank you!
Vyrn: Why you gotta be that way. Don't mind (Captain). That's a "welcome aboard" in code!

Sen: Okay... Thank you!
Just as Sen lowers her head in thanks, a villager approaches and lightly taps her on the shoulder.
Villager 2: Sen! So you're going on a journey?
Sen: Yes, I'm going to travel with these skyfarers.
Villager 2: I see. We'll be sad to see you go, but you've always wanted to see the blue beyond. Stay safe, you hear?
Sen: I will do that. Thank you.
Villager 2: Oh, but do that thing you do one last time for me.
Sen: Really... Right now?
Villager 2: Come on. I won't be able to hear your voice again until who knows when.
Vyrn: Hm? What's he talking about?
Lyria: I wonder...
Sen: Sigh... Okay. I'm off to see the world beyond... Meow.
Villager 2: Hahaha! Goodbye then, Sen.
The villager pats the embarrassed Sen on the back one more time and then leaves.
Vyrn: Could you tell us what just happened? Why'd you meow? You did that after you beat the monster too.
Sen: Um... Ever since I can remember, I've been told I look like a cat and asked to meow.
Sen: But I still feel a little funny about it...
Vyrn: Gotcha! So they think you look like a cat too, huh?
Sen: Do you also think I look like one of those ferocious beasts?
Lyria: Huh? Ferocious? What do you mean?
Sen tells the group that she has never seen any cat aside from those that roam the mountains.
Lyria: Oh... But there are much cuter and smaller cats out in the skies!
Sen: Really?
Vyrn: Yeah! Once you come with us, we'll show you!
Vyrn: And I don't really know you or anything, but you're a team player for saying stuff you don't wanna.
With Sen's help, the crew is able to quickly traverse the land.
Sen: We'll be at the foot of the mountain soon.
Vyrn: For real? You're not gonna make us try to climb stuff again, right?
Sen: Don't worry. I remember that climbing is not your specialty.
Sen: Wait.
Vyrn: Hm? What's up?
Sen: Shh... Be quiet.
Sen scans the area with a serious look on her face.
Lyria: Is there a monster nearby?
Sen: Gasp! There it is!
Beyond the trees, the crew can now see a large boar.
Sen: I'm going to get it!
Vyrn: Hey! And she's gone...
Lyria: Sure is... From behind she really does look like a cat...
The crew stares blankly at the trees where Sen was last seen.
Vyrn: So, we can't really go anywhere 'cause we might get lost. Let's wait here.
Soon enough, Sen reappears.
Lyria: Oh! Sen!
Sen: Hi, Lyria! Look at this, everyone!
Sen appears like a veteran from the forest dragging a giant boar behind her.
Vyrn: Whoa!
Sen: The boars during this season are really tasty.
Vyrn: You don't say... You're one of those way-stronger-than-you-look types, aren't you?
Sen: What? Something the matter? Do you dislike boars?
Lyria: N-no... Not that...
Vyrn: I mean, thanks for the boar and all... But if you just go running off by yourself, you're gonna worry us.
Sen: Oh, you have a point... I'm sorry. I'll be more considerate next time.
And so Sen, polite though somewhat lacking in common sense, joins the crew.
It will be some time before this mountain girl adjusts to life on the outside with the crew.
