As mortals evolved and society advanced, the instinct to fight mindlessly was gradually lost to time. However, as sumo developed as a form of combat, this instinct was brought back to life. It developed a will of its own, taking on the name of "Tameemon." Hoping to rule the skies as the most powerful sumo warrior, Tameemon envisioned a world order where the laws of sumo superseded all else. In order to realize this ambition, it searched for a mortal with the strength necessary to serve as its host. Yokozuna was one such individual, but at the height of his battle with the merfolk king, he took notice to Tameemon's existence and chose to end his life after winning. Having lost its only potential vessel, the will of sumo then went into a long period of dormancy, only awakening with the appearance of Raiden. Raiden possessed the power of sumo surpassing that of even Yokozuna, and by taking control of his body, Tameemon was able to fully manifest itself. Using the Humvar Islands as its components, it then went on to form an enormous body and dohyo, awaiting the arrival of potential opponents. With Raiden as its centerpiece and amalgamating every aspect of earth, will, and might, Tameemon was certainly a being worthy of claiming the title as the strongest in the skies. However, its inability to be quickly responsive, combined with the difficulty of grasping minutiae, ultimately led to its own downfall.
