The previous king of Hibergreif and Mordred's father. Uriens ascended the throne at the age of twenty-one and was respected by his people as a wise and discerning king despite his young age.
As he was strictly brought up to become king from a young age, he appears to have expert control of himself and behaves calmly in public. In actuality, however, he has a brash personality and a wild temperament. Despite his realistic outlook and reluctance to trust others, Uriens is highly dependent on those who have gained his trust and casually makes unreasonable requests—the complete opposite to how he portrays himself to the public. Uther, captain of the knights, and Merlin, the palace mage, are his most trusted.
Uriens showed a childish side to Uther, his closest friend since childhood, often revealing his true feelings and complaining in secret. On the other hand, realizing that Merlin loved and respected him like a deity, there were times when he couldn't help but put on airs in front of the magician. Regardless, he always interacted with his two friends not as king, but as simply another person—his true self.
