Having observed the skies for eons, he's witnessed those with shorter life spans come and go so often from generation to generation that he's grown tired of it. Tending to the selfish whims of the spoiled Medb, who had great affection for Ailill, was as easy as raising an arm for him, so he simply gave in, unaware—even in his final moments—that doing so only further pushed Medb toward a distorted worldview. |
