Act 2: Dawning Sky - Chapter 65: A New Journey - Episode 1

The morning after receiving a hearty welcome from the villagers of Zinkenstill, the disillusioned Eugen decides he wants to spend the rest of his days doing what he loves most—adventuring. Io, on the other hand, exclaims that she'll find a reason to continue on the journey. The crew sets out in search of info on the Sky Map pieces and heads for the Crew of Enforcers' archives on Amalthea Island.

The crew spends the night in (Captain)'s hometown of Zinkenstill.
Everyone gathers before the Grandcypher, ready and resolved to face the journey ahead.
Eugen: ...
Io: Hmm...
Lyria: Io, you seem pretty sleepy. Are you alright?
Io: I had something on my mind, so I didn't get much sleep.
Eugen: Ha ha ha! I can say the same! I could've used a bit more sleep this mornin'.
Eugen: But thankfully, I'm now able to see clearly what it is I want for myself.
Eugen: I've decided, I'll live out the rest of my days in the sky as a skyfarer.
Eugen: I'd thought about retiring myself to Auguste, you know.
Eugen: But the quiet life just ain't for me! I bet my little buddy here'd say the same.
Eugen, reflecting on bittersweet memories, gently grips his trusty rifle.
Eugen: So I've no intention of stopping. If (Captain) is headed beyond the sky, then so be it.
Eugen: We can travel together forever! I'll be with you wherever you go, (Captain)!
(Captain) smiles in relief at Eugen's encouraging words.
Rosetta: That's the answer you chose for yourself, right?
Eugen: Aye! After all's said and done, the sky's where I belong.
Rackam: Io. Did you find your answer?
Io: No... But I'm coming along.
Rackam: Huh?
Io: In the end, I couldn't find a purpose for myself, like everyone else.
Io: But! Maybe it's something that can't be found unless I keep going.
Rackam: You mean, you'll discover your purpose during the journey?
Io: Right! Isn't that the perfect reason to continue this journey?
Rackam: I dunno... But I guess when you say it like that...
Rosetta: I think it's fine. Besides, people can have all sorts of reasons to go.
Katalina: At any rate, it seems everyone's here and ready to depart once again.
As Katalina speaks, the crew look around at each other.
Vyrn: Heh heh! Then we're off on a new journey!
Lyria: Yep! It's hard to imagine what we'll see along the way.
Lyria: But I'm sure we'll make it! So let's go! Beyond the sky!
(Captain) and company welcome the gentle morning sunlight with newfound resolve.
The crew then gives their thanks and goodbyes to the villagers as they board the Grandcypher.
Rackam: Now then... Where are we off to first?
Katalina: About that... Yesterday I spoke with (Captain) and a few others.
Katalina: In order to gather map pieces, we need to gather information first.
Rackam: You've got a point. Only primal beasts possess map pieces, right?
Rosetta: Right. We need to search for islands with ties to primal beasts.
Io: Ties to primal beasts... Which means islands with something unique only to them.
Io: So maybe we should ask around about unusual islands?
Katalina: We could go about it that way, but how about getting a little help this time?
Io: Get a little help...?
Lecia: Let's head for Amalthea Island. The Crew of Enforcers' archives should have information on all the islands.
Vyrn: Now that you mention it, we found a book there written about me!
Rackam: Alright! Our new journey begins! Time to fire it up, (Captain)!
Io: I'm ready to show my stuff this time and become a proper lady, too!
Rosetta: As long as I'm surrounded by all of you, this journey will surely be exciting.
Eugen: All right! Let's just how far this old man can go!
Lecia: To the ends of the skies... If I stick with all of you, (Captain), I might become great like my father one day!
Katalina: Everyone must be very excited. Because this time, we're not running away. We're hurrying forward!
Lyria: No matter what we've lost, we'll be fine if we're together!
Vyrn: (Captain), you seem in good spirits, too! We'll make it this time! To reach your father and go beyond the horizon!
(Captain)'s journey to the ends of the skies begins once again.
The crew takes a leap forward on a new adventure, steering them toward their dreams.

Act 2: Dawning Sky - Chapter 65: A New Journey - Episode 1: Scene 2

(Captain) and company head for Amalthea Island while defeating monsters along the way. Lecia stands alone on the far side of the deck, gazing worriedly into the sky. Up until now, Lecia has served (Captain) and company merely as part of an assignment from the Crew of Enforcers. But with the empire defeated, she fears she may have to leave (Captain)'s crew if she is given a new assignment.

(Captain) and company head for Amalthea Island, while defeating monsters along the way.
Lecia stands alone on the far side of the airship's deck, gazing worriedly into the sky.
Lecia: ...
Lyria: Lecia! What's wrong? You're standing here all alone.
Lecia: Lyria... Vyrn. Even (Captain)'s here...
Vyrn: What's up? You look kinda sad.
Vyrn: Isn't Amalthea like a second home to you, Lecia?
Lyria: Could it be, something you're worried about?
Lecia: No, it's just... Well...
Lecia nervously waves her hands about to reassure the two, but it's no use. She lowers her head and begins to speak.
Lecia: I'm sorry. I might have to take back what I said yesterday.
Vyrn: Huh, what's this all of a sudden?
Lecia: It's not that I don't want to travel with (Captain) and the crew. My feelings haven't changed.
Lecia: But when I think about it, now that the Erste Empire has fallen...
Lecia: ... the Crew of Enforcers might hand down a new assignment to me.
Lecia: And that assignment might have me part ways with everyone here.
Lyria: Oh no! Lecia, you might end up leaving our crew?
Lecia: ...
Lecia casts her eyes down as she shifts back and forth anxiously.
Yet with each passing moment, Amalthea Island gradually comes into distance of the airship and its crew.

Act 2: Dawning Sky - Chapter 65: A New Journey - Episode 2

Now famous for stopping the Erste Empire, the crew receives an enthusiastic welcome from the members of the Crew of Enforcers. Lecia walks away from the commotion to look for Monika. She learns from a fellow skyfarer that her father, the Blue Knight Walfrid, will be returning to the Phantagrande Skydom soon.

Enforcer 1: Lecia's returned! And she's brought the crew with her!
The crew receives an enthusiastic welcome from the members of the Crew of Enforcers as they disembark from the Grandcypher.
Rackam: Hey hey! What's going on here?
Enforcer 2: We heard from the crew that went to Agastia to help out!
Enforcer 2: Your crew alone faced off against the mighty Erste Empire.
Enforcer 2: You even turned the tables in Agastia!
Rackam: Ah you're embarrassin' us when you put it that way...
Rosetta: But make no mistake—we saved the world from the evil hand of the empire.
Enforcer 3: Exactly! Now right this way! We'll have you take it easy while you're here.
Lecia looks around as (Captain) and company are guided by members of the Crew of Enforcers.
Vyrn: Huh? What's wrong?
Lecia: Nothing... I just don't see Monika anywhere.
Lecia: I wanted to say hello and have a talk about how things will work out from here on.
Lecia: I think I'll go look for her. You guys can go on ahead.
Lecia leaves (Captain) and company to search for Monika in one of the halls.
She checks all the areas where Monika might turn up, but cannot find her.
Lecia: (I wonder where Monika went...)
Lecia: (Could she have gone off on assignment?)
Lecia ponders Monika's whereabouts as she continues walking, but suddenly comes across a crew member.
Lecia: Excuse me, but do you know where Monika is?
Enforcer 4: Oh! Admiral Lecia! Welcome back!
Lecia: Former admiral... But where is Monika?
Enforcer 4: Monika headed for the Dydroit Belt as soon as she got back from Agastia.
Lecia: The Dydroit Belt? Huh? You don't mean he's...
Enforcer 4: That's right! It seems he's finally coming back—Captain Walfrid!
Enforcer 4: Monika is there to escort him back.
Lecia: My father... in Phantagrande?
Upon hearing of her father's sudden return, Lecia is at a loss for words.
Anticipating their reunion, a mix of both happiness and unease swirls within her heart.

Act 2: Dawning Sky - Chapter 65: A New Journey - Episode 3

Lecia is surprised to learn that her father, the Blue Knight Walfrid, would soon be returning to the Phantagrande Skydom. Because Lecia's father once traveled with (Captain)'s father, she is relieved to soon learn the truth about everything. But she cannot deny the possibility that what she uncovers may have her going up against the crew. Whether she will be able to confront them about it is something only time can tell.

Lecia: My father...
Enforcer 4: Yes ma'am! I heard he'll be returning here via the Dydroit Belt.
Enforcer 4: The Seven Luminary Knights are a class all their own. Going through that area and beyond the Grim Basin...
Lecia: Yeah... They sure are.
Enforcer 4: By the way, may I ask why you're here, Admiral Lecia?
Enforcer 4: Could it be? You're returning to the Fourth Fleet as well?
Lecia: No, I've uh... come to take a look at the archives.
Enforcer 4: I see.
Enforcer 4: But since your father is coming back, why not come back with him?
Enforcer 4: I'm sure Captain Walfrid would be very pleased!
Lecia: Monika gave me orders to assist (Captain)'s crew.
Lecia: I can't return here on my own authority. Besides... I'm a former admiral.
Enforcer 4: Ah... That's right. My apologies...
Lecia: It's fine. I'll be meeting up with them now.
And with that, Lecia turns on her heel and quickly leaves the building.
Once she's alone, she places her hand on her chest in an effort to calm herself.
Lecia: My father... is really returning to this skydom?
Lecia: (I wonder what he'll think when he sees me...)
Lecia: (I wonder if he'll congratulate me for stopping Prime Minister Freesia with (Captain) and everyone...)
Lecia: (Wait... If he's coming back, then that means I can ask him myself.)
Lecia: (I wonder what he knows about Lyria and Vyrn.)
Lecia: Whew...
Lecia breathes a huge sigh of relief.
Lecia: (I can finally clear things up about the two of them and what he'd written in that memo.)
Lecia: (I can finally resolve everything.)
Lecia: !
Lecia: (But what if I ask him and there really is danger in the two of them being together?)
Lecia: (Could I keep them apart somehow?)
Lecia: (Surely the crew would notice...)
Lecia: (Would I have to confront them for my beliefs just like the Black Knight did?)
Considering the worst case scenario, Lecia shuts her eyes tightly and shakes her head.
However, she couldn't shake off the image of the worst to come.

Act 2: Dawning Sky - Chapter 65: A New Journey - Episode 4

Anxious about seeking answers but still wanting to speak with her father, Lecia suggests to (Captain) and company that they go to the Dydroit Belt. It is an easy decision for (Captain), as it creates the perfect opportunity to learn more about Vyrn's past and true nature while also giving Lecia some long-awaited father-daughter time.

Io: The Dydroit Belt?
Lecia: Yes. The Blue Knight Walfrid is on his way through there now.
Lecia: In other words, it would seem my father is returning to the Phantagrande Skydom.
With a number of worries on her mind, Lecia meets up with (Captain) and company.
Although a little uncertain, Lecia suggests the crew head toward the Dydroit Belt.
Katalina: The Dydroit Belt... That's the special island chain that straddles across skydoms.
Eugen: When I was a lad, I would help ferry merchants to a place near there.
Eugen: In fact, it's only a little part, but it juts into the Grim Basin for sure.
Eugen: We only brought 'em near, but even then I thought we were done for.
Lecia: Yes. It's just as you say. The Dydroit Belt straddles skydoms, and it's partly included in the Grim Basin.
Lecia: The Seven Luminary Knights use the belt to move between skydoms.
Lecia: It seems Monika is headed there now to meet my father.
Lecia: Since those knights take most assignments beyond this skydom, there are hardly any chances to meet them.
Lecia: If we make our way towards the belt now and see my father...
Lecia: We should be able to discover the truth behind Vyrn's past and what he really is.
Rackam: That's right. It was your father who left those notes about sealing Vyrn's powers, right?
Io: And Vyrn seems to remember seeing him before, after his memories were unsealed.
Rosetta: He seems a straight-forward man, so he may tell us about anything we ask.
Katalina: The Seven Luminary Knights are hard to find as they're always on the move. This is a chance we can't pass up.
Katalina: On top of that, it's a reunion between father and daughter. We should do everything we can to help.
Lyria: Right! You've done so much for us, Lecia. And family is important.
Lecia: Thank you, Lyria and Katalina.
Rackam: Now then, I guess we're off to the Dydroit Belt!
Rackam: It'll be a waste if we miss each other on the way, so we'll leave soon! Everyone get ready!

Act 2: Dawning Sky - Chapter 65: A New Journey - Episode 4: Scene 2

The crew heads for the Dydroid Belt, which straddles across the skydoms. But, since part of it extends into the Grim Basin, the Grandcypher begins to shake violently as they approach. Just as Lecia mentions that the Seven Luminary Knights can pass through the Grim Basin with ease, a horde of abnormally ferocious monsters attack them.

Upon learning that the Blue Knight, who holds the key to Vyrn's past, is returning to this skydom, the crew make their way toward the Dydroit Belt.
The Grandcypher makes safe passage toward the belt until...
Io: Woah!
Io: Hey! What's going on here!
Rackam: Sorry. It seems the closer we get to the Grim Basin, the more unstable the ship becomes.
Vyrn: That was quite a shake just now, but I guess it'll get even rougher as we go.
Vyrn: Hey! Lecia's father is gonna come from another skydom through the Grim Basin, right?
Vyrn: So does that mean Lecia's father has map pieces like (Captain)'s father did?
Lecia: I'm afraid not. I'm not sure of the details.
Lecia: But the Seven Luminary Knights don't need the Sky Map to cross the Grim Basin.
Katalina: I've heard that as well.
Katalina: But it's hard to believe that one can navigate such turbulent skies without any guidance.
Lecia: Not exactly. Even the Seven Luminary Knights can't handle crossing the Grim Basin in these conditions.
Katalina: What? That's the first I've heard of that.
Lecia: I've only heard it once when I was little, but if I remember correctly...
Lecia: Each of the knights use the gift of their masters to open the path, or something like it...
Katalina: Masters? Of the Seven Luminary Knights?
Lecia: Yes, but I don't know much more about it.
Rackam: Then we'll just have to ask your dad for the details!
Rackam: But first, we've got monsters! They seem abnormally ferocious! Don't let down your guard, (Captain)!

Act 2: Dawning Sky - Chapter 65: A New Journey - Episode 4: Scene 3

The crew braves the turbulent skies in order to reach Dydroit Belt, when suddenly, the winds come to a complete stop. They cast their eyes on the Grim Basin, the giant gap that separates the skydoms with endless dark clouds.

(Captain) and company drive out the monsters swarming the Grandcypher.
Suddenly, as if reaching the eye of a storm, the violent winds that struck the airship subside into calm.
Io: Huh? The wind...
Vyrn: Woah wait! Is that it over there?
Rackam: It's... the Grim Basin.
While headed for the Dydroit Belt, (Captain) and company find themselves before the Grim Basin.
A giant gap that separates the skydoms, overwhelming all who lay eyes on it with its endless dark clouds instilling fear and a sense of foreboding.
And in the far-off distance beyond the miasma, an even greater menace lies in wait.
