| A graceful and kind queen who was loved by her people. Mother to Heles and Seruel. Belying her calm disposition was a shrewd mind with a penchant for politics. Despite being first in the royal line of succession, she chose to let her husband Connor take the crown. This was done to quell the fears of the populace, who began to harbor doubts about the royal family due to the pusillanimity of her father—the former king—and a trend among the family's women to die young, including her younger sisters Eithne, Eile, and Clothru—some by sickness, some by an unfortunate mishap. It is for this same reason that she pushed for Seruel, rather than Heles, to one day succeed the throne. She had planned on allaying the fears of her family that would arise from her decisions, but that became an impossibility when she died from childbirth. In her final years, the warm smile on her visage that the citizenry loved so much was eclipsed by the remorse she'd kept bottled up for so long. |
