Partners Even in the Skies!
After joining the crew, Negi and Asuna enroll as visiting students at Mysteria Academy to learn about the properties of magic in the Sky Realm. As Asuna engages in her own special training to take on Sky Realm magic despite being unable to cancel it, Negi interrupts with a pledge to protect his pupil from any threats. However, his concern only upsets her.
Some time has passed since Negi and his friends were welcomed as full-fledged members of (Captain)'s skyfaring crew.
On one particular day, he approaches (Captain) and the others with a stern look on his face.
Negi: (Captain)-san, I have a big favor to ask! Would you be so kind as to teach me how magic works in this world?
Negi: Once our journey with you is over, we'll be returning to our own world to save Mundus Magicus from destruction.
Negi: To do that, I'll need to become stronger, and master abilities beyond my own understanding.
Vyrn: You've got a point. Having magic from other worlds on your side would make you crazy powerful.
Negi: Indeed. And the way magic works here is completely different from what we know. I reckon studying it could open up some new doors for me.
Negi: That's why I was wondering if you'd know any ways I could study the nature and mechanics of your world's magic...
Vyrn: Well, if you just wanna learn the basics, I'm sure (Captain) could teach you. But if you're looking for something a little more in-depth...
Choose: How about going to a magic school?
Vyrn: Yeah! You should go to Mysteria Academy! It's the most famous magic school in the Phantagrande Skydom!
Negi: How curious. So it's comparable to Meldiana Magic Academy back home... That sounds perfect!
Negi: But would a prestigious school let someone like me attend without making any of the proper arrangements?
Choose: How about I introduce you to a teacher?
Vyrn: Oh, right! Mysteria Academy's got a bunch of teachers who know everything about magic!
Vyrn: The academy's a pretty famous magic school, and all of the teachers are super nice to boot! I'm sure you could learn lots there.
Negi: You even have connections at a prestigious magical academy? You've got quite the network at your fingertips, (Captain).
Negi: But I don't know... I'm a mage from an entirely different world. Do you really think they'd let me enroll?
Continue 1Vyrn: Hehe, leave it to us! We know just what to do to get you in!
Vyrn: Just say the word and we can set a course for the academy in no time!
Negi: Really? Oh, I'd love to sit in on a class and—
Asuna: Hold it right there! I don't know what this Mysteria Academy's all about, but I'm going with you!
Negi: Wha... Asuna-san?
Vyrn: Whoa there, cool your jets... You're not even a mage. Why do you wanna come with us?
Asuna: Hey, I might not be shooting to become a Magister Magi like Negi here...
Asuna: But that academy's basically this world's hub of magical knowledge, right?
Asuna: It might hold the key to making my powers work with the magic here!
Negi: Right... Your magic canceling doesn't seem to function well against the spells they have here in the Sky Realm.
Negi: But there's no reason for you to fret. As long as we're in this realm, I'll keep you safe, Asuna-san!
Negi: You can stay on the ship and relax while I see to things at the academy.
Asuna: Grrrr! Stupid Negi! Yet again, you completely miss the point!
Negi: Wh-what? Do you think I'm entirely helpless on my own?
Asuna: No, you aren't! It's just...
Asuna: Ugh, I'm going with you and that's final! Come on, guys, let's get going already!
Vyrn: O-okay then... I dunno what's happening between you two, but, uh... Let's just get a move on, shall we?
And so the crew sets off for Mysteria Academy to help Negi acquire the knowledge he seeks—Asuna doggedly tagging along with them.
The crew arrives at the academy and with relative ease arranges for Negi and Asuna to attend as visiting students.
Ms. Miranda: Hm, interesting. So, Mr. Negi, you've come to our academy to learn about the magic of our skies. Is that correct?
Negi: That's right! I apologize for interrupting your regular duties, but I hope you'll teach me everything you know.
Ms. Miranda: Oh, no apologies needed. Any friend of (Captain) is a friend of mine. Besides, the other teachers are just as thrilled to have you as I am.
Ms. Miranda: Now, before we start our lessons, I have something to ask of you.
Ms. Miranda: Would you give us a demonstration of your magical abilities, Mr. Negi? I'd love to get a sense of how magic works in your world.
Negi: Of course! I suppose a spell aimed at the sky should be sufficient.
Negi: Ras tel ma scir magister...
Negi: Sagitta Magica! Series Lucis!
Ms. Miranda: Wow... Incredible power. I get the impression that magic is quite intense in your world.
Ms. Miranda: Your approach to magic is different, but your capacity is no less impressive—it's got real substance behind it.
Ms. Miranda: I can tell you didn't skip out on mastering the fundamentals. You're as much a diligent scholar as you are a natural talent, Mr. Negi.
Negi: Oh, hehe... You're too kind...
Negi: But I have much more to learn if I want to halt the devastation of Mundus Magicus.
Asuna: S-so do I! I have to figure out how magic works here so I can finally put my own abilities to use!
Ms. Miranda: Fantastic—I love your enthusiasm! All right, let's head to class, shall we? We'll start off this academic journey with the basics!
Negi & Asuna: Yes, Ms. Miranda!
In one of the academy's classrooms, Ms. Miranda schools Negi and Asuna on the fundamentals of magic in the Sky Realm—but the latter struggles to pay attention.
Asuna: Ngh, guhh... I can't do this anymore. This is worse than English class...
Negi: A-Asuna-saaan! Come on, don't give up!
Ms. Miranda: My... It looks like someone's not exactly the studying type.
Asuna: Guhh... Sorry. I know that learning this stuff is important if I wanna find out why my powers don't work here, I do, but...
Asuna: D-don't let me stop you, Ms. Miranda! I'll do everything I can to keep up!
Ms. Miranda: Hmm... Am I correct in assuming you've come to the academy hoping to learn something that would allow you to help Mr. Negi, Asuna?
Asuna: Oh, um... Well...
Ms. Miranda: Then how about taking a different approach? I suspect you'd do better by doing some combat training instead of burying your head in books.
Ms. Miranda: We could have someone cast spells at you to see what you can and can't cancel. You'll still be learning, just in a more hands-on way.
Asuna: R-right!
Ms. Miranda: I'm sure with my students' help, you'll be able to find a learning method that works for you. How's that sound?
Asuna: ...!
Yeah, that sounds perfect!
Yeah, that sounds perfect!
Asuna: All right, see you guys later!
Ms. Miranda quickly musters Anne and Grea to spar with Asuna, who practically leaps with glee as she rushes out to train with her new classmates.
Negi: Haha! Well, she looks happier already. I just hope she doesn't get hurt...
Ms. Miranda: Hehe, don't worry, Mr. Negi. Those two are some of my best students. They'll take good care of her.
Ms. Miranda: Now, back to the books! It's time for us to focus!
Negi: You got it, Ms. Miranda!
By the day's end, Negi has absorbed every last bit of fundamental magic theory the Sky Realm has to offer.
Ms. Miranda: Well, color me shocked... In one day, you've mastered material that takes new students an entire year to learn.
Ms. Miranda: You're quite the prodigy, Mr. Negi! At this pace, you should have no problem picking up even the more difficult content.
Ms. Miranda: Tell you what, I'm going to get you library privileges! There are plenty of magical tomes in there I think you'd love to read!
Negi: Wow, really? That's so nice of you!
Negi: If I want to protect my friends and the world, then I have to learn as much as I can before we return home.
Ms. Miranda: It seems to me that you have a tendency to put too much pressure on yourself, Mr. Negi.
Ms. Miranda: You have Asuna and so many other friends! Know that you don't have to bear every burden alone.
Negi: Asuna-san...
Negi: Oh!
Negi: That reminds me—is she still training with the others?
Ms. Miranda: Hehe, I think so. And they look to be every bit as focused as we are. Come, let's see how they're doing.
Asuna: All right, another one!
Grea: Coming right up! Hya!
Asuna: Ngh!
Asuna: Ugh, this sucks! I can't cancel any of these spells!
Anne: At least now we know elemental affinity isn't the issue. I guess canceling a spell outright just isn't possible...
Grea: Still, her ability does have some effect. I can tell our spells get weaker when she tries to nullify them.
Anne: The foundation of their magic seems somewhat similar to ours. That's likely why she's able to interfere with the core of our spells to a degree.
Asuna: Um... Maybe? So, uh... what's all that mean?
Anne: While your ability can't cancel our spells, you may be able to use it to change their trajectory.
Grea: Exactly. Instead of facing magic head on, you can strike at it from one side with the Ensis Exorcizans and deflect it. Does that make sense?
Asuna: Strike at it from the side... That kind of movement's gonna take some time getting used to...
Asuna: Sorry... I think I'm gonna need you both to stick around for a little longer...
Grea: No need to apologize. This is good practice for us too.
Anne: Yeah! And don't be so down on yourself! You might not be able to nullify spells here, but that doesn't make you any less strong!
Anne: Most people have a hard time dodging spells purely on reflexes. Give yourself some credit!
Asuna: Dodging spells won't cut it—not if I want to protect Negi. I've gotta learn how to deflect them, and fast!
Asuna: Okay, let's go! Come on, Grea-san! Anne-san! Hit me with some real magic—the kinda stuff where if I mess up, I'm toast!
Anne: What? You're joking, right?
Asuna: I'll be fine! I do my best when my back's up against the wall!
Negi: Stop, stop, stoooop! What are you saying, Asuna-san!
Asuna: N-Negi? Go away! I don't need you barging into my training!
Negi: No, I'm putting my foot down! As your teacher, I won't allow you to put yourself in danger like this!
Negi: You don't need to work yourself into the ground, Asuna-san! I promise I'll take down anyone that tries to hurt you!
Asuna: Wh-where did that come from?
Asuna: I know I can't go all out in this world, but that... Y-you...
Frustrated by Negi's well-meaning words, Asuna struggles to respond with anything more than indignant spluttering.
And as she seethes, Negi stands there, completely oblivious to her emotions.
Partners Even in the Skies!: Scene 2
Days into their stay at the academy, Asuna checks in on Negi at the library. Upon seeing her injured knee, he chastises her for continuing the dangerous training, which leads to an argument. Ms. Miranda and Anne find Negi struggling to understand Asuna's anger, so they help explain how his student may be feeling. Realizing his mistake, Negi comes up with an idea to make amends with Asuna.
It has been a few days since Negi and Asuna enrolled at Mysteria Academy.
After a day of lessons, Negi holes himself up in the library until midnight. He is snapped out of a particularly engrossing tome by a sharp tap to his head.
Asuna: Take it easy with the studying! Do you have any idea what time it is?
Negi: Ow! Huh? Asuna-san? It's late. What are you doing here?
Asuna: I asked Ms. Miranda where you could be and she pointed me here—but never mind that. You can't be staying up until stupid o'clock reading every night!
Negi: Yeah well, I could say the same for you. Staying up late is terrible for your skin. Go to bed.
Negi: I'll go to sleep eventually. I just have a little bit more to read...
Asuna: I don't need a brat like you to tell me when I should go to bed! And hey, you're still a kid! If there's anyone here that needs sleep, it's you!
Asuna: Besides, I heard from Ms. Miranda that you've pretty much mastered the basics of Sky Realm magic already!
Asuna: So there's absolutely no reason for you to be in here studying until you pass out!
Negi: But that's exactly why I'm here. Now that I know the fundamentals, I can finally understand the more difficult tomes.
Negi: I made a promise to myself to learn as much as I can while we're in this world. I'd be doing myself a disservice by not trying my hardest.
Asuna: ...!
Negi: Now go on, off to bed with you, Asu...
Negi: Oh no!
Negi: Asuna-san, your knee! You're injured!
Asuna: Oh, this? It's just a little scrape I got during my spell deflection training. As you can probably tell, it's not going so well.
Asuna: But there was hardly any blood, so no harm done.
Negi: I thought I told you to stop subjecting yourself to that dangerous training!
Negi: If you keep it up, you're going to get seriously hurt. I think you should take a break tomorrow, just in case...
Asuna: Ugh, shut up! You're the last person that should be telling me to take a break! Stupid Negi!
Negi: W-wait, Asuna-san!
Negi watches in stunned silence as his student takes off in a huff.
Tomorrow comes, but Negi's bewilderment remains. He finds himself in the library again, wrestling with how to talk to Asuna.
Negi: (She's clearly very upset with me... But why? Did she think I was belittling her?)
Negi: (We're in a different world and she's struggling to use her powers. I just don't want her to take any unnecessary risks...)
Negi: (Still, I didn't mean for my concern to lead to an argument...)
Negi: Sigh... What could I have said differently?
Ms. Miranda: Mr. Negi, I can tell you have something on your mind. What is it?
Anne: Asuna was acting a bit strange this morning... Did you two fight?
Negi: Y-yes, well... I may have said a few things that upset her.
Ms. Miranda: Hehe, sounds like you were right on the mark there, Anne.
Ms. Miranda: Come, Mr. Negi, tell us what's troubling you. Ms. Miranda's here to lend you a helpful ear.
Ms. Miranda: After all, I've been an educator just a teensy bit longer than you have. I might be able to teach you about more than just magic!
Negi: You have a point... And now that I think about it, Asuna-san was quite receptive to your advice when you gave it to her.
Negi: If it's all right with you, I think I'll take you up on your offer, Ms. Miranda.
And so, piece by piece, Negi shares with Ms. Miranda the details behind last night's disagreement.
Ms. Miranda: Hm, okay... So you said those things to Asuna because you're worried about her, correct?
Negi: Yes. I was concerned that being in a different world and not having the comfort of her powers would cause her distress...
Negi: But, coming from someone just as much out of their depth here as her, perhaps she felt I was being more condescending than concerned.
Ms. Miranda: Mhm... I think I see what's going on here.
Ms. Miranda: Mr. Negi, let me preface this by saying that I believe you are a wonderful teacher.
Ms. Miranda rests a comforting hand on Negi's shoulder as she continues.
Ms. Miranda: But considering how taxing it is being in another world, I think what Asuna needs from you is for you to have faith in her.
Negi: Wh-what? But she's already dealing with so much. I can't possibly...
Ms. Miranda: It's time to change the way you think, Mr. Negi! Your students are far more emotionally intelligent than you think.
Ms. Miranda: See, when Ms. Miranda is feeling overwhelmed there's nothing I can do to hide it from my students. They can sense it instantly!
Ms. Miranda: It's important for teachers to be frank when they need a helping hand! Communicating that makes students feel like they can speak up whenever they need help.
Negi: Oh, I... I think I follow?
Ms. Miranda: Most students are kind at heart. Knowing that their teacher counts on them is something that makes them feel valued.
Ms. Miranda: And the best part about letting them help you is getting to see just how much they've grown as people. It's nothing but positives all around!
Ms. Miranda: Anne in particular always finds all kinds of different ways to help me out! Isn't that right, Anne?
Anne: Yup! It makes me happy to know that Ms. Miranda can turn to me whenever she needs a hand!
Anne: In fact, if she didn't rely on my help, I might think she didn't have any faith in me... Get the picture?
Negi: Wait, are you saying Asuna-san thinks I don't trust her? I do!
Negi: Oh, but... I suppose I didn't make that very clear to her, did I?
Anne: Maybe not. Asuna's training so hard because she wants to be a partner that you feel like you can depend on.
Anne: But by keeping her at arms length, you made her feel unwanted. That might be why she got upset.
Negi: I made Asuna-san feel like I don't need her...
Negi: You're right—and it certainly doesn't help that we haven't made time to talk since we arrived at the academy.
Negi: How could I have so grossly misunderstood the reason behind her anger toward me?
Negi: I've made such a mistake—not only as her teacher, but as her partner as well...
Ms. Miranda: Hehe, oh Mr. Negi. Teachers can't always be perfect, you know!
Ms. Miranda: I'm quite familiar with how you're feeling! I'm definitely no stranger to making the odd mistake... or several!
Ms. Miranda: Just remember this: It's okay to slip up. What matters most is how you recover!
Negi: Right! Well then, I'm going to apologize to Asuna-san!
Anne: That's the spirit! No time like the present to make things right! Go, go, go!
Negi: Oh, uh, wait! I'd like to do something special for her when I apologize to really show her how contrite I am.
Negi: Anne, Grea, Ms. Miranda... Could you lend me a hand?
Negi gathers the trio into a huddle and relays his idea to them.
The weight of worry that once clouded his face is completely lifted, replaced with a look of pure determination.
Partners Even in the Skies!: Scene 3
The next day, Negi apologizes to Asuna, who offers her own apology upon realizing she, too, was at fault. The pair challenge Anne and Grea to a skirmish to see how much they have learned, and by trusting in each other, they clinch a victory. Soon after, Nagi comes to take them back to the ship—but not before Negi gets himself back into hot water with Asuna.
The very next day, Negi asks a bemused Asuna to meet him in the academy's courtyard, intent on apologizing to her.
When she arrives, Negi offers her a deep and remorseful bow.
Negi: I would like to apologize to you, Asuna-san. It was wrong of me to dismiss your concern for my well-being.
Negi: I'm truly grateful to have your support, and I always will be. Whatever challenges lie ahead, I want us to face them together.
Asuna: Negi...
Asuna: I'm sorry too. I got so caught up in my own head that I forgot that you're your own person too.
Asuna: I had a talk with Grea-san, and it made me realize that I wasn't exactly without fault.
Asuna: For a so-called prodigy, Negi can be really stupid! He can barely cast Magia Erebea, but he insists on pushing himself past his limits anyway!
Asuna: He just keeps trying to do the most insane things all on his own!
Grea: You know, I think I get where Negi's coming from—why he wants to handle every issue by himself.
Grea: I don't particularly like inconveniencing others either... And that sometimes makes things harder for me.
Asuna: You feel the same way as him? But you're so... calm!
Grea: I have Anne, my other friends at the academy, and the crew to thank for that. But I used to be very much like him.
Grea: It's taken some time, but remembering that I have friends to support me even in my darkest moments has helped me find a way to keep pushing myself forward.
Grea: In a way, Negi is similar. He has one person to turn to when things get tough—and I think that person is you, Asuna.
Asuna: But... I'm not sure I'm doing enough for him to rely on me as a partner.
Grea: Being there for him is enough. Your presence gives him assurance—it reminds him that he's not alone.
Grea: I hope you two will make peace at some point... And when you do, be sure to let him know he can always depend on you.
Asuna: You're right... Maybe I was too harsh on him.
Asuna: It's silly, right? I want so badly for you to depend on me, but then I go and get us into an argument, and drive a wedge between us.
Asuna: So... I just wanted to say I'm sorry for blowing up at you.
Negi: Asuna-san... No, it's all right. Actually, I'm glad to hear you care enough about me to worry about my well-being.
Asuna: Well, duh.
Asuna: Oh, by the way... Sorry and all, but I'm not taking back what I said to you about pushing yourself too hard.
Asuna: Next time I see you pulling a stupid stunt all on your own, I'm grinding my knuckles right into your tiny skull.
Negi: Understood!
Asuna: Good! All right then, I declare our beef over!
Asuna: Well, since this is our last day here, let's make the best of it by training our butts off!
Asuna reaches out toward Negi for a reconciliatory handshake, the faint hint of a blush creeping across her face.
Despite taking her hand and giving it a firm shake, Negi's next question slips out almost as if by accident.
Negi: Um... Before we start training, there's a little something I wanted to try, if that's all right with you?
Asuna: Oh? What is it?
Negi: I just wanted to see how much progress we've made.
Negi: To do that, I thought perhaps we could have a friendly skirmish—with Anne and Grea on one team, and you and me on the other.
Negi: It'd be nice to see how far our powers can go in these skies after everything we've learned. What do you say?
Asuna: Hmm... So you wanna put our progress to the test, huh?
Negi: With you at my side, I have every confidence that we will emerge triumphant.
Asuna: That's some big talk for a little guy! All right, let's do it! Better bring your A game, 'cause I play to win!
Negi and Asuna make their way to the garden to meet up with Anne and Ms. Miranda.
Anne: Okay, let's get started! Now that you two are friends again, it's time for you to show us what you can do—as a team!
Grea: And don't think we'll go easy on you. We both know just how powerful the two of you are.
Ms. Miranda: All righty then! Now that we're all ready and raring to go, Ms. Miranda here will be your referee!
Ms. Miranda: First, some ground rules. Only basic spells taught at the academy are allowed. However, Asuna is free to use her magic canceling ability as she pleases!
Ms. Miranda: First team to land a spell on their opponent wins. Take your positions...
Ms. Miranda: Readyyy... Go!
Anne: Okay... Let's start with a little warm-up!
As soon as Ms. Miranda gives them the go-ahead, Anne swiftly launches a fire spell at Negi.
Asuna: Hyaa!
Grea: Nice job deflecting Anne's spell. I suppose you wouldn't mind if I cast a few of my own?
Negi: Oh no you don't!
Keeping Grea's spells at bay with his own magic, Negi racks his brain for potential ways to get the upper hand.
Negi: (Anne-san and Grea-san have us beat in sheer magical capacity, that much is certain. A prolonged skirmish would put us at a disadvantage.)
Negi: (But Asuna-san's ability to deflect spells has improved. That should give us some room to be a bit more bold.)
Negi: (I just need to trust her!)
Negi: Asuna-san. Start making mistakes. Give them openings and bait them into attacking us.
Negi: And when they bombard us with spells, smash them out of the way as hard as you can. We can win this.
Asuna: I didn't actually practice deflecting multiple spells... But I'll give it a shot!
Asuna: Just be ready to fire off your own magic once I make it happen!
Negi: Got it!
Anne: Negi and Asuna are leaving us a lot of openings... Maybe they're running out of steam?
Anne: Come on, Grea, now's our chance! Let's give them everything we've got!
Grea: Right behind you, Anne! Time to end this!
Anne and Grea take the bait and unleash a barrage of spells at their opponents.
Negi: ...!
Now, Asuna-san!
Now, Asuna-san!
Asuna: On it! Give 'em hell, Negi!
Negi: Don't worry! I will!
With lightning speed, Asuna swings the Ensis Exorcizans and deftly deflects every spell aimed at them.
As the spells fly off every which way, Negi swiftly retaliates with a mighty storm of his own magic.
Negi & Asuna: Haaaaa!
Anne: Waaaaah!
Grea: Anne!
Negi's plan proves successful as a single spell finds its mark, just barely making contact with Anne.
Ms. Miranda: And that does it! Victory goes to Mr. Negi and Asunaaa!
Ms. Miranda: Anne and Grea are two of the academy's finest, even before you take their powers into account. I'm amazed you managed to get a clean hit on them!
Negi: Hehe... Asuna-san's the one that made it all possible. That final setup wouldn't have worked without her.
Asuna: Hey, don't give me all the credit. It only worked because you actually had faith in me and put together a solid strategy.
Asuna: And now I know the trick to deflecting magic. So I guess coming here was worth it after all!
Negi: Definitely! Now it's time to take what we've learned back to the ship. We need to keep train—
Nagi: Now that was a show! Looks like someone's been working hard, eh, Negi!
Negi: F-Father? What are you doing here?
Nagi: Your skyfaring friends told me you were studying here.
Nagi: So I thought I'd stop by and pick up my diligent little kiddo. Looks like you've been keeping up with your studies even while you're in another world!
Nagi: Show me what you've been learning here when we get back, all right? I'll give you some tips—you know, if you need them.
Negi: Okay!
Asuna: Hey! Don't leave me out!
Nagi: Haha, of course not! The more the merrier! All right, guys, say thanks to the folks at Mysteria Academy before we head out.
Following Nagi's lead, Negi and Asuna share one final handshake with Anne, Grea, and Ms. Miranda.
Anne: We'll get you next time! We'll be training extra hard for round two—just you wait!
Negi: With pleasure! But don't think you'll be the only ones leveling up!
Grea: You're welcome to visit us whenever you like. Maybe next time I'll play the piano for you.
Asuna: Awesome! We'll make sure to bring (Captain) and the rest of the crew too!
Ms. Miranda: Oh, I can't believe you're already leaving us. Nothing gets the Ms. Miranda waterworks going more than seeing her students leave!
Ms. Miranda: I can't let you two go without at least giving you a proper goodbye!
Negi: Uwah!
Ms. Miranda reaches for Negi and Asuna's heads and gently tousles their hair—her own special way of saying farewell.
As she pats Negi's head, the ribbons on her sleeve gently brush against his nose...
Negi: Ah... Ahh...
Asuna: (Uh oh... He's gonna blow!)
Negi: Ah...
Negi: Choooo!
Asuna: Hyaa!
Negi lets loose a spell with his enormous sneeze—but Asuna leaps into action, canceling it almost as soon as it is cast.
Asuna: Th-that was close... Wouldn't want the last memory they have of us be them getting stripped—especially after they've been so nice to us...
Negi: G-good looking out, Asuna-san!
Negi: You were as swift as lightning! Accurate too! It seems all that training paid off!
Asuna: Ex-cuse me?
Asuna's anger flares up seeing the totally clueless smile plastered across Negi's face. She grasps his cheek and pinches as hard as she can.
Asuna: I didn't go through all that training just so I could be your sneeze attendant!
Asuna: Stupid Negi! Thought you might've learned something here, but your head's as empty as ever!
Negi: B-but I was complementing you! Why are you mad?
Negi: Asuna-san, talk to me! What did I do this tiiiiime!
Negi flails in confusion, completely caught off guard by Asuna's snap change in demeanor.
Nagi and the people at Mysteria Academy watch on with knowing grins as the familiar scene unfolds before them yet again.
