A priestess of destruction who once traveled the skies together with Gallanth. The main character's mother and Partita's older sister. Hailing from a Zinkenstill family shrouded in mystery, she was raised together with Gallanth, who was like family to her and later became her husband. Although she possesses almost no combat skills, she learned to use various types of magic throughout her travels. Despite her calm personality and dislike for conflict, she can be quite stubborn once she has made up her mind on a matter. In dire situations, Rein is seen to be more courageous than even Gallanth. Ever since the god of destruction Bahamut took hold of her body, she has been held prisoner within a dimension which only Bahamut itself can enter.
