Tunaro and the palace residents attempt to wake Neruko up from the mind control, and (Captain) finally succeeds by recklessly charging and headbutting her, causing her to come back to herself. After celebrating their reunion, Neruko and Tunaro prepare to face Seahamut.

However, to everyone's surprise, Mei now stands between Neruko and the crew.

Varuna and Neptune lay on the ground beside Mei, channeling the last of their strength into the shark girl.
