Conquest of the Dark Singularity - Ending - Episode 1

After Sig and (Captain) land a decisive blow on Seahamut, the combatants witness fragments of the god's past. Seeing how he had created much life but had always been alone, they feel like they understand why he took on the form of Turtlestache and started living among the residents of the Dragon Palace. As the vision fades and all begin to celebrate their victory, (Captain) starts to lose the ability to understand the albacore and palace dwellers. As the crew watches them return to the ocean, (Captain) shouts words of parting out to them.

Seahamut: No, impossible! How could the likes of the stars and skies defeat my ocean!

Tunaro & Neruko: Thunnus Blitz!

Sig: Harpoon Wave!

Choose: Vorpal Blade!

With the force of their albacore companions' mighty charges behind them, (Captain) and Sig's attacks pierce Seahamut's throat.

Seahamut: Guaaagh!

The god's scales burst into fragments of light, enveloping everyone nearby.

Suddenly, the two skyfarers and albacore find themselves standing in the middle of the underwater ruins.

Sig: What? Did the ocean end up swallowing us anyway?

Neruko: No, I recognize this feeling! We're seeing Seahamut's memories!

Looking around, they notice faint light coming from a small, neglected wooden box.

Swordshark: ...

Seahamut: Ah...

Seahamut: No matter how many times I create life, it always ends up leaving me...

Seahamut: How long... How long must I live alone in this vast, vast sea...

Neruko: ...!

Neruko: I hate the ocean... Even though it's so big, there's no room for me in it anywhere...

Seahamut: Oh Omnipotent... Whyever did you create me?

As Seahamut's body disappears, the group lands back on the beach where everyone else is waiting for them.

Suika Kattosai: We were also made witness to that memory just now...

Sig: Ironic, isn't it? That the god who created all that life was lonelier than anyone.

Crabbie: S-so... Is that why he became Turtlestache and spent time with us?

Mei: For goodness sake! If he wanted friends, than he should have just said so!

As the group watches Seahamut's body dissolve into the ocean like foam, the joy of victory finally starts to well up in them.

Ilsa: You all did well. That last attack was especially spectacular.

Vikala: Is there anyone who's still hurt?

Mei: Anyway, I can't believe you! Don't make us *** like that, dummy!

Helgoku: Haha, you're *** as ever, ***!

Choose: ...?

Neruko: (Captain)? What's ***?

Tunaro: I see. You're losing the *** to understand ***, *** you, cor?

Bit by bit, (Captain)'s ability to understand the words of the sea creatures slips away.

(Captain) smiles playfully and bumps head with Tunaro, Neruko, and all of the palace residents in farewell.

Palace Residents: ...

Sig: I think I can understand what they're saying just as well as you can.

With that, the albacore and palace residents head back into the peaceful ocean.

Ragazzo: Heh, look at that one darting around! Is that Helgoku?

Percival: How is it burning underwater? It makes no sense at all.

Percival: ...
Well, I suppose there's nothing wrong with that.

Swimming even more energetically than the palace residents are two enormous siblings.

(Captain) looks out at the blue ocean and waves to them while yelling goodbye.
