Innocent of Azure
The crew heads to Auguste for their annual summer vacation. Seox initially plans to remain on the Grandcypher, but an earnest plea from (Captain) to spend time together stirs his heart. Though apprehension hangs heavy over him, he takes the first step onto the beach.
The sweet summer sun shines bright on the Grandcypher as it heads for Auguste, where the crew has decided to spend their annual vacation once more.
While (Captain) is busy handling things elsewhere on the ship, Lyria and Vyrn are in the mess hall excitedly discussing their beach plans.
Vyrn: We've been to Auguste so many times already, but it never gets old!
Lyria: Right! I can't decide what I want to do this year!
Lyria and Vyrn catch sight of Seox entering the hall and call out to him.
Vyrn: Sup, Seox! You here for some grub too?
Seox: No, I asked for my lunch to be packed up. It should be about ready, so I came to pick it up.
Lyria: Oh, Seox! What are your plans for our vacation?
Seox: Vacation?
Vyrn: Y'know, the one we're all goin' on? Auguste!
Seox: Oh... Right.
Lyria: We have so many things we want to do, we just can't choose!
Vyrn: So what's your game plan, Seox? Taking a dip in the ocean? Smashin' watermelons? Or will ya be sunbathin' on the beach?
Seox: No, I'm planning to stay on the ship.
Vyrn: What! Why?
Lyria: So you mean, you won't be going to Auguste?
Seox: Hm? Do you need a bodyguard? I don't mind helping if you think it'll be dangerous...
Vyrn: That's so off the mark! This is our once-a-year summer vacation, y'know? We gotta make the most of it!
Seox: Me, hanging out... at the beach?
A voice calls out to Seox from the galley, interrupting their conversation.
Seox: Looks like my food's ready. Sorry, but I gotta go.
Seox: Anyway, I'm just going to stay on the ship. Give me a shout if you need anything.
Before anyone can say anything, Seox walks away to the galley to pick up his lunch.
Lyria: Seox...
Vyrn: Is he really gonna stay behind?
Later that night, Seox is alone on the deck, feeling the breeze whistle through his hair.
Seox: A vacation, huh?
He ruminates on his noontime conversation with Lyria and Vyrn, but his thoughts are soon interrupted by (Captain).
Seox: Oh, (Captain). What's up?
Seox: I see... So you heard from Vyrn and Lyria.
(Captain) nods, then shares a few thoughts.
"Everyone has their own way of spending a vacation. You're of course free to stay on the ship too."
"But you know... I want to hang out on the beach with you, Seox."
As (Captain) finishes, Seox's eyes widen.
Seox: You want to spend time with me?
Seox: Ah, it's just... hearing that from you, well... I really appreciate it.
Seox: But...
Seox: I... don't really get what it means to hang out at the beach.
Seox: I have some working knowledge of it. Like beach volleyball, playing in the water...
Seox: But... I can't see myself actually being at the beach.
Seox: So, even if I go to Auguste with you guys, I don't know what I'm supposed to do...
Seox: Do you... really think it'd be fun with a dead weight like me around?
Seox: What?
Seox: R-right... You're really insisting on this, huh? Are you sure?
Choose: Honestly, I'd be lonely without you.
Seox: Wha! You'd... be lonely?
Seox: Um, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you feel that way.

Seeing Seox so flustered, (Captain) gives him a small smile.
Choose: I want you to have fun.
Seox: Fun, me?
"You don't have to force yourself to be extroverted. But if you want to go to the beach even a little, let's find a way to have fun together."
As (Captain)'s words sink in, Seox falls silent for a while.
Seox: ...

His gaze drops to the floor as he mulls over the captain's proposal. Lost in thought, Seox walks away.
A few days later...
Vyrn: All right! We're back, Auguste!
Lyria: Vyrn! If you zip around so much, you're going to crash into people!
The crew has finally arrived in Auguste for their long-awaited summer vacation. (Captain), Lyria, and Vyrn are among the first to disembark and exit the docks.
They watch as members of the crew file out one by one, and (Captain) unconsciously begins to scan the crowd for any sign of Seox.
Vyrn: ...
I don't see Seox.
I don't see Seox.
Lyria: I guess he really did stay on the ship...
Vyrn: He wouldn't really refuse to come, would he?
???: Of course not.
Turning to look in the direction of the voice, (Captain) finally sees Seox among the stragglers.
Seox: Sorry. It took me a while to get ready.
Lyria: Seox, your outfit!
Seox: I-it only makes sense to change into beachwear when you're going to the beach, right?
Vyrn: Yeah, and now you'll get to enjoy your summer vacay too!
Seox: ...

Seox: But... I kind of want to at least try, if it's with you guys.
Seox: Er, try having fun at the beach together, I mean. So, um...
Seox: Would it be okay if I hang out with you guys?
(Captain) quietly nods, beaming joyfully.
And so, (Captain), Lyria, and Vyrn begin their summer with Seox.
