Triggers

Triggers are a core gameplay mechanic in Granblue Fantasy. Triggers activate when certain conditions are met and then change a foe's natural behavior, whether through use of Special Attacks, phase changes or filling up a foe's charge diamonds.

There are multiple types of triggers in raids.

Trigger Types[edit]

Special Attack Triggers[edit]

Special Attack Triggers (SATs) are triggers that force a foe's Special Attack.

Charge Diamond Triggers[edit]

Charge Diamond Triggers (CDTs) are triggers that only activate after a skill or attack is used. As such, they can only be activated during the player's turn.

Phase Change Triggers[edit]

Phase Change Triggers (PCTs) are triggers that change the move-set and/or properties of the foe.

Trigger Conditions[edit]

Encounter Triggers[edit]

Encounter Triggers (ETs) are triggers that only activate the first time a raid is loaded. As such, they can only activate once. Most ETs can only be activated as the Discoverer.

Health Triggers[edit]

Health Triggers (HTs) are triggers that only activate when the foe reaches a certain health threshold. HTs are always locked to their own respective phase. Health being refilled will ignore HTs that have already been performed unless otherwise stated.

Status Triggers[edit]

Status Triggers (STs) are triggers that only activate when an ally or enemy has a certain status active. These are most notable in Celeste Omega.
